How to associate a fixed $ value to a date cell?

I'm trying to keep track of payments made, according to date.
I have one column where I enter dates.
Can I associate these date cells to a fixed $ value, so that each time I enter a new date the SUM cell will automatically update?

By "associate these cells to a fixed $ value," I assume you mean that fixed value will be added to the sum as each date in sentered.
Here are two examples, one showing the fixed amount in the adjacent column when the date (or anything) is entered in column A, the other showing only the total.
Both use a second table to hold the fixed value, making it easy to edit, if necessary.
Formulas:
(Method 1)
B2, and filled down to B10: =IF(LEN(A)>0,Fixed value :: A$2,"")
LEN(A) returns the length (in character) of the entry in the cell in this row of column A. If anything is entered, the IF condition is TRUE, and IF returns the value in A2 of the smaller table. If nothing has been entered, the condition is FALSE, and IF returns a null string to the cell.
B11: =SUM(B)
Row 11 is a Footer row, and is not included in the cells to be summed.
(Method 2)
D11: =Fixed value :: A2*COUNTA($A)
COUNTA counts the number of entries in column A of the Main table, then multiplies the fixed value in the small table by the result of the count and returns the result.
This formula may be placed in any cell.
(Both methods)
The cell reference to Fixed Value::A2 (or Fixed Value::A$2) may be replaced with the actual value, and the second table eliminated, if desired.

How to associate an uploaded file with form data

I have a "ticketing" app which stores a ticket no. as well as allows users to upload multiple files per ticket. The problem I am having is how to associate an uploaded file with a particular ticket no. As you can guess this becomes complicated when the same user can potentially update multiple tickets using the same file names. I am having difficulty trying to understand how to associate a ticket no with one or more uploaded files. I do have a custom table which I update with the attachments but I am unsure how to, or when to, update the ticket information on this custom table. I only want to retrieve attachments for a given ticket, not all attachments uploaded by a user.Does anyone have any ideas?

Why are you trying to use a character in the planning book - why not a representative value in numbers
but if you HAVE to use characteristic then you can also try to use the notes functionality (right click on a cell and go to notes if you have not seen this )
These notes are usually anchored to a cell. These notes are stored in a table (check in se 16 with wildcard on notes ) and is associated to the value of a cell
So if you can reference a cell value and put in the conditons to the values on it you might be able to manipulate the values in the table for notes and this will cause the notes in the interactive planning boo to change accoring to the value of the cell

How can I change the value in a stepper cell

In Numbers 2.3 I was able to change the value in a stepper cell by highlighting the value and using the arrow keys to increase or decrease the value. This was a very easy way to input data. Numbers 3.0 when I do this is moves to another cell
Is there a way to get the use of the arrow keys to change the values in 3.0?

I use number to keep a running daily tally of the productivity of the members of my group. As each member performs certain tasks, all I had to do was click the up arrow and add to it. IE Jim made 4 widgets yesterday and then made 4 today, I would just hit the up 4 times total 8.
I guess the good news is when I upgraded to Numbers 3.0, It did not delete Numbers 2.3
I will continue to use 2.3 until it no longer works, I guess

I love programming WPF using MVVM, but sometimes easy looking problems lead to unbearable suffering.
Here is my problem: I have a simple list view with about a couple of columns. All I want to do is to copy the cell content to clipboard, when the user right-clicks on a cell.

Without MVVM I probably would have used the some Click-Event and extract the info from the event args. But of course I don't want to break the MVVM pattern.
But if I use some kind of event binding I cannot find a way to retrieve event args or the sender object:

I'm not so sure about listview, I rarely use them for more complicated requirements.
I would use a datagrid.

What does "XL" (whatever that is) have to do with Crystal Reports which is what you are obviously working with have to do with the Oracle database?
The rules for using Crystal with Oracle are quite clearly described in all the Crystal Reports docs ... you MUST use IN OUT ref cursors unless you are doing direct table or view access.

How to auto insert computed value when new data is created??

I'm new to APEX and was trying to solve this:
To make it simple: I have a table, square_table, with two fields: input_number and square_value.
All I want to do is when a user enters an input_number from 'the form and report template', the squared value is automatically computed and saved along with the new number to the square_table.
Would someone post a solution (as details as possible, pls :)? I have watched numerous tutorials and no luck.

Poor design. You should not do this, even for strictly educational purposes. Stick to 3NF as much as possible, and only denormalize if a)you REALLY REALLY REALLY need to do it, AND b)your denormalized design survives peer review, AND c)you document VERY WELL the rationale behind such a design. Please read this - look for "Calculated Values".
Anyway. You could do this at least two ways:
1) Create a Page Process in your APEX application. Not a good idea, as other sources of INSERTs (sqplus, client/server apps) will not do the calculation unless coded to do so, and doing so would create multiple points of maintenance and documentation and testing, no to mention the added complexity of dealing with several potential development environments; or
2) Create a good old plain trigger.
If this was not a flawed design, I'd go for (2). It is basic SQL homework, well documented and simple to implement.

How to get the month value in a date?

I am retrieving a Date from the database using the getDate() method! However, I want the value of the month in this obtained result, which i want to compare with an integer!
I dont see any other option but to use the deprecated getMonth() method on this Date object! Or rather get the date as a String & apply the substring methods to get the reqd value!
Is there any other go on this?

How to force check right value of a JTable cell?

I have a JTable with a column that must have a value no empty and between 0 and 100. I made a sample with only one column for simplicity.
The code works fine when the user types some value. However, when the user press ENTER to go to next column, without editing the cell, no checks run.
I have also other column that the user may type a part of a name and the system must find the full name of a person. In this column, if user uses ENTER without editing the cell, the same problem ocurrs.

Editing to force the entry of data in a cell is typically done when you press a button to process the data. It doesn't make sense to "edit" the cell when the user presses enter to go to the next cell. What if the user never places focus on a particular cell. Then the cell will never be edited.
To force a user to enter a valid value once they have started editing you can do something like this:

But you can't force a user to visit every cell in the table so you need to handle that as described above.

How Can I Look Up Value of Right Most Cell?

I am tracking the value of my RRSPs in a table where each month I record that month's statement value. At the end of the row, I want to display the latest value. Each account will be displayed on it's own row, with additional rows for each year.

In this example, the YTD cel always gives the right most cell that has a value greater than zero.
I know I can construct a cascading IF statement to check for each cell to have a value >0, but I was hoping there would be a function that I could simply put a range of cells.
Is there a simple way to check the value of the right most cell?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Prior to my introduction to Numbers and its Header Columns, I would have laid out my table just as you did. Now I have become a fan of putting my summary data, such as your YTD figure, in a Header Column. This will greatly simplify many types of calculations on the other data in the row. Along the way I've found that I like the look of having, in your case, "Account" and "YTD" together on the left to eliminate scrolling sideways when reviewing the table.
Here's my example:
Columns A and B are Header Columns and the expression in B2 is: =OFFSET(B2,0,COUNT(2:2))
Fill Down in B to extend the formula to later years.

Hi,
For adding fixed values to the properties, you can use the transformation file. In the mapping section, you can specify a constant value. This value will be written to properties of all the members while importing master data. However, for parenth, its a bit different. First thing is that, you need to have a member called CUSTOMER, then only you can have CUSTOMER in the parenth column. Even if you add it and use the mapping section for this purpose, then it will write CUSTOMER to parenth for all the members (even to CUSTOMER member). And this will be wrong. So, you will need to write it manually.

hi, you means the 'Maintain fixed values, translations, user-defined routines'.
You can definite some fixed values and translations rule in this step.
And go back to the 'Maintain field mapping and conversion rules' steps.
You can utility these pre-defined in the data mapping.
E.G.
You defined a fixed valued name 'BUKRS'
Through click the button in the application bar in step 5,
you can use a FV_BUKRS in data mapping.
FV_BUKRS is the name of the fixed value name in data mapping.

Fixed Value date- in Sales Order Line Item

The Filed Fixed Value Date , from where it gets the value.
In My Case One Perticuler Material the Fixed Value Date is comming as Previous year date for todays billing document.
How can avoide this fixed value date for the Sales order at Line item level. Where the Config is done for this.

I dont think this feild is coming from some customization, I think user need to enter it manually.
If it comes by default in your case then please check, have you created current order with the refrence of old order?
Because there is some chances that the date iscoming from the refrencing document.
