How to change format of OOB columns in sharepoint 2010?

I have an requirement of changing of date format from 12/05/2014 to 12 May 2014 in a list for 2 Out of Box columns: Created , Modified. Can some one please help me on this.

That's great when using SQL Dev.
But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .

You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.

an other solution is change the block property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_TYPE from "Table" to "Sub-query" , than change at run time the property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME.
First create block and add items
The QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME will be for ex. "Select 'A' as col1, 'B' AS col2, 'C' as col3 from dual"
Set into items the column name property to col1 , col2 ...
At run time change the query to "Select 'Z' as col1, 'X' as col2 , 'Y' as col3 from dual"
in this way you can change the source of column value.
Caution because if you change value type from varchar2 to date you must cast date into varchar2.
May be that this way is valid only for view data not for insert-update, i don't remember.

If you want to format the entire ticker with particular format then put in the Beginning text
before Table tag
put the font tag with needed attributes
<Font> <table....>
In the end text after table tag
<table> close the font tag

How to Change the position of Column in ALV report

Hi Follks,
    Is is possible to change the position of column in ALV report?.If yes then how?
    Basically my requirement is, that user want afacility where , he should be able to change the position
    of column aftre he runs the report.
    Eg: After running the report , user felt that column 5 should be at position 2 , in that case he should
           be able to drag column 5 at position 2 and vice versa.
    Please help me, how to solve this issue.
    Note : I am using NW 7.0 SP 9

How to change format of phone numbers in PowerShell?

We need to append the area code and hyphen in front of the office phone number field in their domain user account for all our users that have office phones now that we are changing from 7 digit numbers to 10 digit numbers.
I found a script that finds and edits phone numbers, but the author chose a different way to format the numbers.
This is the part of the script I need to change:
# Format number as xxx xx xx xxx.
$Phone = '{0}
{1} {2} {3}' -f$Phone.Substring(0,3),$Phone.Substring(3,2),$Phone.Substring(5,2),$Phone.Substring(7,3)
I'm trying to figure out how to edit that so that it formats it as xxx-xxx-xxxx
(3 digit area code, hyphen, 3 digit prefix, hyphen, four digit number) instead of xxx xx xx xxx.
Can someone show how to rewrite this section?

The modified script:
# This format number as xxx-xxx-xxxx.

How to change format in iMovie 10?

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to change project settings to anything other than HD 1080. There doesn't seem to be any way to do change to SD. iMovie help doesn't mention it. Is this kind of like Numbers find and replace, a feature sort of there but not working? If there is a workaround to change to SD, including editing the project file in a hex editor, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

In iMovie 10 go to File>Share>File, choose the size (probably should choose either SD or Large) then click Next, give it a name, then click Save (remember where you saved it to).
Wait until the Activity Indicator shows that the sharing process is complete.
Go to iDVD. Go to File>Import>Video and select the file you created earlier. It will bring the video into your iDVD project. Prepare your DVD project and when you're ready, click the "Burn" button.
iDVD is no longer officially supported by Apple, but it still works great.

How to see/use Target Audience column in SharePoint Designer Workflow (SharePoint 2013 Online, Designer Workflow)

Hello,
I'm attempting to use use the Target Audiences field in a SPD 2013 workflow, in this case just attempting to log the value to history for testing purposes. This is failing saying the column does not exist.
I enabled Audience Targeting on the list then create a simple workflow to log the value to history when the item changes.
I change an item and the workflow starts, but when it gets to any action looking at "Current Item:Target Audiences" it stops and says:
HTTP BadRequest to <site url>/_api/web/lists(guid'XXXXXXXX')/Items(4)?%24select=ID%2CTarget_x0020_Audiences
The field or property 'Target_x0020_Audiences' does not exist.
But it does. It is listed in the list setting and enabled for the content type.
I ran the listed API through an API program and sure enough, Target Audience is not listed in the results object.
I'm 99% sure I've enabled this and that the field is present and the workflow is valid. I ran the same situation on two lists to ensure it wasn't a hiccup, same results.
Is this a know issue? I couldn't find anything obvious online saying you cannot see this field via workflow, most of what i found said this would work.

I understand what you have explained, and have seen several similar explanations that have lead to my confusion. Can you elaborate a bit, maybe for the sake of future information seekers?
I understand that audiences can be defined using the rules operations in Central Admin, but it seems another standard function is to just directly assign existing SharePoint groups. I think this is what you mean above, but this is also the point of
my misunderstanding.
In this particular setup I have only used existing SharePoint groups with no audiences defined in Central Admin. List Item A has a target audience of SharePoint group X, just that simple of a setup.
Assuming the above is valid, I would then like to see or alter the groups via SPD workflow.
Based on the following posts, I was under the impression this may be possible (but obviously not fully clear and thus I posted this):

So in SPD, I set a simple action such as "Log Current Item:Target Audience to history" (note the I am able to select target audience in SPD like any other field with no errors). At this point I am assuming everything is valid as SPD is treating
the field like any other string field. When executed the error in the above post comes up.
So to confirm your explanation, this is not supported? Even though the field is available for selection by design, it is not capable of use and known to produce errors in all cases of its use? The first post above is 100% wrong and you cannot
use SPD to set/view the target audience field? The second post is also wrong as it seems to present the fields as available for alteration using string concatenation?
If in fact the field is present by design, but also impossible to use by design, is this potentially a bug as the field is not supposed to be available if it will always produce the error when used with no error in SPD during compile?

How do I delete duplicate Site Columns in Sharepoint 2013

When I got to save a site as a template I'm told that there are duplicate site columns and the template can not be saved.
I found that under all of the e-mail submission site columns they are duplicated site columns for example
BCC
Multiple lines of text
Property Management
BCC
Multiple lines of text
PMRG Connections
I want to remove the Property Management ( I know that this is the site name where I copied it from), but they are duplicated all across the site collections.. every site and site collection has it duplicated, is this because I
enabled lists to allow email submissions?
either way I need to get rid of the duplicate item, so I can save sites as templates if needed.

There are a few required columns that can’t be deleted. They cannot be deleted through UI because
the Delete button is not available (as you already mentioned in your previous post). The only available option is using C# code (SP object) or Powershell commends.
By the way, I cannot find Date Received column in my Dev, I guess Date Received is the one of the columns added by custom feature. You may refer the link below for useful Powershell commend. It was written for SharePoint 2010 but should work in
SharePoint 2013 as well.
