How to get the records which has a specified x/y coordinates. I have a table which has street data. And another table has a point data. Now I just want to get the records from street data which includes the points in the point data table. Can any one give your suggestions

set of points, you can do that with SDO_RELATE.

Hello BW Gurus,
We are facing one serious issue. Here is the scenario.
1st time the Delta was init and for next consective two loads delta ran sucessfully... then next time delta got failed and the status is in red..... even though system started next delta loading and it has fetched the records and status is in green but not activated ,,,,,its happening still past one month so almost there are 20 requests which are to be get activatetd.
How to resolve this issue.

Can you provide more details about your extractor and data targets.
Are you loading delta to an ODS ??
If you are loading to an ODS, The only solution i can see is to get the missing delta records via FULL UPDATE. Because if you delete the error request from ODS it will also delete the 20 successful requests above it.

I suggest you to create an internal table or structure clear it and the bind it to the context node.
Another possibility is to try to invalidate the node (method INVALIDATE of interface IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE).

How can we restrict the other user to change the record which has been entered by particular user in MDS

I have created Product entity in MDS. It's having the following values:
Name Code Owner
Bike    1     ABC
Car      2     XYZ
Cycle   3     RRR
owner XYZ can change the record of RRR. But if owner XYZ or any other owner in this entity tried to update the ABC's record, access should be denied. That means, no one should have the permission to change the records which are entered by ABC.
For this i have executed this code

I have created 2 entities called Party and Owner. Party has following columns (name, Code, Owner (Domain Based Attribute)) Owner has following columns (name, Code) And I have Created one Derived Hierarchy.
From user and Group Permision Section, Hierarchy Members tab I have given read only permision to me (administrator of the Model). When I gave the permision I have selected users and Inherited from group in permission tab. And I'm not the part of any group.
Now I'm not able to see my model except the explorer area. And I'm not able to delete the permission from the user. As per the admin guide we need to delete permission from group.
Though I'm not the part of any group, I'm not able to proceed further to delete the permission.
Please help me out in this regard. Thanks!

How to set the view, which has to be shown at runtime?

in my application i have more than one view, but at runtime only one of these views has to be shown. I want to decide this via a parameter that I get from the url.
How can i set the right view to be showing at runtime?
I tried it with a StartView which fires the right Outbound Plug in his wdDoInit-Method. This is working fine, but the problem is, that the method OnPlugDefault() of ComponentInterfaceViewController isn't called already at this time. So in the Init-Method of the StartView I don't have the given URL Parameter, so I can't decide which Plug I want to fire. The method OnPlugDefault() is called only after the init-method of the StartView.
Is there any other possibilty to set the view, which has to be shown, at runtime?

Hi,
One way is you can pass the parameter in the URL , read the parameter and then fire the outbound plug depending upon that.
You can read the parameters as follows

I have tried the following formula which identifies the lowest grain but it does not seem to give me correct result.. I am not getting the correct count. I am getting as 3.A work order can be updated only once at one point of time.hence the formula
MAX(RCOUNT(CAST("SR Wo Fact"."Crm Wo Number" AS CHAR) ||CAST("SR Wo Fact"."PSC Timestamp" as char)))
I tried only MAX(RCOUNT(1)), but I was able to get the record count as corect for Administrator but not for other users.
Has anyone come across this scenario.

How to get the record selected in ztable based record in the output of alv

Hi All,
I have developed a report, it is displaying the output in ALV format.The list contained some 20 fields along with MATERIAL and BATCH. I have provided menu bar as extras -> ztable(it also contained MATERIAL and BATCH). But I have some issue when I select any record in the output then go to
path extras -> ztable, it has to select the record in ztable based MATERIAL and BATCH which i have selected in the output, then can you please provide solution for the above problem.

you can do this by,
data: index_rows type lvc_t_row,
      index like line of index_rows.
* Get Selected rows from alv grid
clear index_rows. refresh index_rows.
"When you choose extras->ztable
call method alv_grid->get_selected_rows
           importing
                 et_index_rows = index_rows.
* Now delete those rows from the ALV grid
loop at index_rows into index.
    read table itab index index-index. "Lets say itab is the table you are displaying
    if sy-subrc = 0.
     perform bdc_sm30. "do simple bdc for sm30 with tab name and selected values
    endif.
endloop.

How to get the row that has failed due unique constriant voilation

Does any body knows how I can get the column values for rows that has failed on unique contriant voilation, I am using 10gr2.
Also we don't have license for shadow table error logging, otherwise I could have gotten the row from there.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Prior to OWB 10.2.0.3 you can use the DML error logging features only for the mappings which runs
in ROW based mode.
But from OWB 10.2.0.3 onwards DML error logging features can be used for SET based mappings also.

How to fetch the records which matches a partial value?

ID Value
1 Student,Staff

4 Member,Staff,Student
I wanted to fetch only 1 and 3rd and 4th record since it matches the value Student.
basically looking for the exact pattern matched with student separated by comma.
how to perform this query. it would be great, if i get the query in MS Sql also.

How to get the document which is associated with a process having specific Guid value?

when a PDF file is opened, AcroRd32.exe is started automatically, and we get the GUID value of that adobe reader.
In c#, can't we get the document associated with the GUID value, I mean the total PDF file which is opened in adobe reader at runtime.
Here I'm struck up in code, can anyone suggest how to where I was missing something.
