How to make data flow from one application to other in BPEL.

Hi All,
I am designing work-flow of my application through BPEL(JDeveloper), I am making different BPEL projects for different functions, like sales manager got the order from sales person and sales manager either approve it or reject it, if he approve it it goes to Production manager and he ships the goods, now I want to keep sales person, sales manger,production manager in seperate BPEL files and want to get the output of sales person to sales manager and sales manager to production manager please help me in dong this.
I was trying to make partner link in Sales manager of sales person and getting the input from there. I dont know this is right even or not, if it is right I dont know how to make data flow from one application to other.
Experience people please guide.
Sales Person -----> Sales Manager ----> Production Manager

Yes you can do this.
If you each integration point to be in different process, you have to create three BPEL process.
1. Create a Async BPEL process 'A' which will be initiated when sales person creates the order.
2. From BPEL process 'A' call a ASync BPEL process 'B' which has the approval flow. Depending on the input from process 'A' the sales manager will review the order in workflow and approve or reject and send the result back to process 'A'.
3. Based on the result from workflow, invoke the Sync BPEL process 'C', where you can implement the shipping logic.

Hello gurus,
In my BSP application i have taken an input field and made its type "date" and its value also of type date and have set showhelp .
Now once a particular date is given as an input i want to pass its value to next page. And in next page i have to fire a query based on the date entered in previous page...
Now my prb is that my date value is not getting passed to the next page.
I have used
navigation->set_parameter( name = 'BEGDA' value = BEGDA ).
to pass date parameter.....still parameter is not getting passed.

By truncation i mean the entire date becomes 10 char including the ' . ' eg(06.12.2006).
so with begda being 8chars it takes my date as 06.12.200
as a result my query is not getting executed.
now i have tried to use a FM 'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERN_FORMAT'.
in my 1st page but still in 2nd page its giving me following error.

I have two different application A & B. I am trying to send a message from A to B. In application A , I get the window handle of application B and call postmessage fn to post a message to application B. While posting the message I am trying to send a
cstring in wparam parameter so that it can be accessed in the message handler.

In the message handler fn, the variable csMessage is pointing to a address but the value is a bad ptr. On accessing the variable like *csMessage it crashes. I have created the variable in heap when the message is posted. So I hope the variable will be in memory.

The ultimate problem is that when you place a CString in a wparam like that you are putting an address. That address only has meaning in the first program. Your second program cannot access the first programs memory (this is good, otherwise misbehaving
programs could take down all applications in Windows). But it does make transferring data between programs more complicated.
Some messages like WM_COPYDATA will copy a data buffer from one process to another and are appropriate for what you are trying to do, but a custom message like
WM_THIRD_PARTY_NOTIFICATION is not one of them.
By the way your example has a memory leak as well since you would have no way to ever clean up the string you allocate in OnBnClickedOk

Hi,
I dont think you can update members. However, you can definitely send transactional data from one application to another using the DESTINATION_APP statement.
You have a good example available in BPC 320 on beforerange and afterrange.
Lets say that there are 5 columns in the report after the EVDRE expansion is done. Then in the beforerange or afterrange, you can use EVRNG function with a range of 5 cells. Lets say that you define EVRNG(J1:N1). In these cells, you can use formulas like EVSUM etc, and these formulas will be taken by the rows in your EVDRE report. If you define afterrange, then you will have additional row at the bottom. If you define beforerange, then you will have additional row at the top.

The second document too have 3 layers , I am copying frames from first document to scrapdata using 'ICopyCmdData ' and 'kCopyCmdBoss'. I have 'Paste Remembers Layers' menu 'Checked' on Layer panel. I am using following function to copy frames to scrapdata.

Please try the folloiwng for changing the User of a Scheduled job:
1. Go to transaction SM37, select the 'Scheduled' Job by checking the check box and then use the menu path Job -
> Change
2. You may reach the Change Job xxx screen. Here, click on the Step button
3. You may reach the Step List Overview screen
4. Here select the step in the list and click on the Change icon to make the User change in the pop up Edit Step window
