HR programming and BSP pages

Can't get some simple HR programming to Work with BSP pages. I've tried defining field "zevnt1" just about every way I can think of and I can't get the following to work. Below I've added 1 example that I tried to define "zevnt1".
How do I define zevnt1 so this will work?
I keep getting an error message saying that "wa_pa0041-dar01 AND zevnt1 are type-incompatable"
DATA: BEGIN OF zevnt1,

Collect Error Message from SAP program to BSP Page

Hi Experts,
I am displaying an error message in the form of pop-up Message in a Screen based on a condition using BADI on R/3 screen , but when i am calling the screen from Portal (BSP PAge) I am unable to see the Error Message which is being displayed as a pop-up in r/3..
How to catch the error and display in BSP Page.....
I have searched the forum but didnt find any suitable replies....

Hi Srikar,
It depends.
Generally though you display a message in SAPGUI it does not display automatically in BSP.
Some times you have to manually write some code to populate and display a message in BSP.
First you need to find the BSP page and write some code to display error messages in the same..

Custome theme to custom applications and BSP pages

Hi all,
I would like to know how I can apply the same custom theme thats coming up with the standard applications.. to be applied to the custom ABAP WDP applications.
And also want to apply the same theme to the EREC and LSO BSP pages.
We have already created our own theme and applied that, we are able to see the modified theme in our standard ESS applications. But its not reflecting the same to the custome ABAP WDP applications.
Do let me know where i am going wrong ...

If you are displaying WDA from portal you need to follow the below mentioned steps to assign portal theme to WDA
1.for assigning custom theme to the WDA pages you need to create configuration
2.go to the webdynpro component-right click on the webdynpro application for that componet and create/change configuration.
3.give some name and click on create
4.go to properties tab and select external portal style sheet and save it
5.go to iview properties for that WDA in portal and fill the configuration name with the name u created above
6.stylesheet value to controls and select yes for support portal stylesheet.
if you are executing WDA from backend itself then you need to pass a parameter to the application like sap-wd-configid=<name of the theme>
for BSP applications change the iview properties

Value tables and BSP-Pages

Hello,
how is supposed to work the value table or the search help that a field has behind it ?? When the end user enters a non-valid value in a field, the system should mark the frame of the field in red. For some fields in our BSP application it works, for some others it doesn´t. Probably we forgot to declare something in the structure in SE11 but can´t work it out.
Has anyone an idea ?? Thanks a lot.

You are creating F-4 HELP and getting possible values in a pop-up.(say AAAA,BBBB).how can user select(HHHH) from that pop-up.
Now let us assume you are not disabling the field to which you want to insert value via pop up.
Now user is inserting value in that field without getting values from F-4 help.
As you said it simply saves the record without checking whether user is inserting proper value or not.
Now when you save that value in the record,just before that validate it.
example:
SELECT SINGLE <field-name> from <table> into <wa> where
<field_name> eq <input_field_value>.
if sy-subrc eq '0'.
--success.
else.
--failed.
endif.
if it is success,then you should allow it to save record.
else.
Do the desired, Show a message....

Programs and Features

How can a program be listed on the Programs and Features page, But you can't uninstall it and it doesn't show up when you search?

Hi,
Sometimes applications don't register their uninstall routines correctly with Windows and there can be numerous reasons why a search for the installed item fails. A good utility for seeing exactly what is installed on your PC is the free version of Revo Uninstaller.
Download and install Revo Uninstaller from the link below.

Run revo and use it to view all your installed software. Right click on the icon of the program you wish to remove and select Uninstall. This will initially launch the applications own uninstaller ( which may or may not fail ) but continue with the rest of the process. During the process you may be asked to delete registry entries, just select all and then click delete. Do the same for any left over files and folders. Once the uninstall has completed, reboot the PC.

Isabellasf have you ran the installation files which were downloaded? By default they are downloaded to the download folder within your User folder.

I'm in the same boat: new to OS X and Mac, and in the middle of a book. I switched because I heard about the the ease of using Mac, but so far, for me, it's been a nightmare. I bought 2011 Office Mac and hate everything about it, the most recent being the inability to open or cut or paste any of my original word files. I understand that this could have easily been done with earlier versions, but not Mountain Lion (which I learned is what OSX is.) Since I work with language, I am amazed at the assumptions of the Apple community. It helps to use common language and explain even the basics.
So all the helpful hints to use the latest version of Office Mac are to no avail. Now what?

Calling the javascript FM and R/3 FM in BSP page

I want to know how can I use the javascript code and function modules(R/3) in bsp ., please let me know how can i call the function modules and javascript in my bsp page,

Hi,
These are 2 very different things.
Function modules are called on the server-side in the BSP controller or event-processing... No fancy thing here, this is only ABAP.
Javascript is used on the client side and called from the view of your BSP. You can write Javascript code directly in a BSP view or use MIME repository to store your .js files
In advanced aspects, you can use Javascript to call server using AJAX but you should get familiar with the basic aspects first.

Call a BSP page and save the output

I have a BSP page, and an other one that acts as a report. From the first one I would like to call the second one to save its output as binary data. Can anyone help? Thaks in advance.

How do I transfer over my Pages program and all its files to my new mac?

I recently bought a macbook air and would like to continue to use my Pages program that I have been using on my old Macbook pro. Does anyone know if I can redownload it from the Apple store without having to pay or if there is another way I can access the program and all my old files?

The Apple Store is not the same as the Mac App Store, which is what I think KarenSelena is referring to when she says "Apps store." So, the question is, did you buy a retail box or a license for a downloaded trial of iWork '09 or did you buy the individual apps from the Mac App Store?
If you did buy Pages from the Mac App Store you can go to the "purchases" section of the App Store.app & download it again using the same Apple ID as before.

How to call a Function Module in a BSP Page?

Hi there,
i have no deep knowledge about BSP Programming.
So what i wanna do is to call a Function Module in a BSP Site..
I go to SE80... create a new empty BSP Application under that a Page with FlowLogic:
I see the new empty BSP Page with this Test Button and Hello world in it.
So my Funtion Module is called Z_Subscribe
What i have to do that the FM is called when i open the BSP?
