i did my update on my iphone 4s and no i have no app store i have the icon but when i click on it, it opens to nothing just a blank page how do i get the app store back
If you can't find it on any of your home screens or via the spotlight search screen then check to see if it's hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari being set 'off'

If still problem, Restore iPhone with iTunes 10.7 or 11 on computer. See if better, if not and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, clean iPhone Charging Port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better, if not, clean again with small amount of Isopropyll Alcohol.

I applied a settings update to my Iphone 3GS and most of my icons went away. I can only open them by going to the app store, searching the name, and clicking open. How do I get the icons back? Also how do you delete an app?

I have recently updated my iphone 4 and now i can no longer sign in to itunes or the app store.
i need to update my apps but it wont let me log in. my email address and password are correct as i can log into itunes through the computer it just wont let me through my phone?
also it keeps asking me to enter my outlook passoword and telling me it is incorrect but again when i sign in on the computer the same information i enter lets me sign in
any suggestions?Try logging out of your Apple ID with the iTunes and App Store at Settings > iTunes and App Store. Select your Apple ID and at the window that appears, select Sign Out. Follow this by signing back in.
Regarding the Outlook password which is the password for the email account you are also accessing with the iPhone's Mail app, try deleting and recreating the account on the iPhone. -
After connecting my 3gs phone to itune last night to download items and to get new updates my phone will not work, it says to add a sims card to phone but the sims is already in it. How can I get my phone to work?
Sounds like your iPhone was previously hacked/modified/jailbroken
and the update has relocked it to the original wireless carrier. If that
is the case, only the wireless carrier to which the iPhone is now locked
can unlock it.
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?

As stated I live in italy, a year ago have purchased an iphone 3gs from vodafone company. I now have purchased an Iphone 4 and have moved that cip in the new phone.
In the old Iphone 3gs I have placed another cip from a different company here in Italy TIM and now cannot make calls nor send text messages since I get the following error message "error in pdp authentication". Can anyone help me in understanding what do I need to do??

If you do, you can restore from backup. Otherwise it's gone.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -

Given the state your device is in you have already erased your old stuff. You have an image on the screen that says, "Connect to iTunes." That's what the image means. So you will need iTunes on your computer.
