Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone begins to restart itself, ignore the "slide to power off" let the iPhone restart itself. See if better. If still problem, Restore iPhone with iTunes 10.7 or 11 on computer. See if better, if not and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, clean iPhone Charging Port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better, if not, clean again with small amount of Isopropyll Alcohol.

My old iPad 2 is updated to ios 7.1.2 but I have a new 4 which is only compatible with 7.0.4 from setup. How can I backup my account to the new iPad with this incompatibility?
What you need to do is temporarily set up your new 4. Just long enough to update the operating system. Then you can erase all content and settings - which puts it back to its out of box state, then set it up again, this time restoring it from the backup of your two.
So, using the same Apple ID on both - just to keep things easy - set up your 4. Just basically choose 'set up as new' to activate it, then immediately update the iOS to 7.1.2.

Then set it up again, this time choosing to 'restore from the backup' of your 2 and your 4 will be a near clone of your two. -
Im from Philippines and my iphone is from Japan after I updated it to iOs 6.1.3 it wont activate it says ''Activation Error Please Contact Customer Care'' what does it mean? How can I activate it? Please help me.
You can NOT unlock it. Only the carrier it is locked to can legally authorize unlocking it and the Japanese carriers will not do so.
In order to be using it previously with a non Japanese carrier, the phone had to be hacked to illegally unlock it. You can not get help here.
Buy a new phone you can use. -
Installed adobe flash update today and now i have no sound
i installed adobe flash today and now i have no sound on internet explorer. when i uninstall it then sound comes back on say something like utube, but if i re-install the latest update no sound again, using windows 7. i see the latest update was yesterday 4/9/13
did the same thing with the same result. control panel no help. no suggestion yet.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

recently i updated my itunes and since it comes up with a message saying the disc is locked and i dont have permission to open the itunes folder. Has anyone else had this issue?

Trying to update my iPhone and now i have to restore it... any help?!
i've just tried to update my phone to IOS 6.1 (the latest update) and now my iPhone 4S isn't recognised by iTunes and saying i need to restore it. help?! can't access my phone, its in 'connect to itunes mode', tried restarting both macbook pro and 4S, no luck.
i'm loathed to restore it as my last few back ups have been unsuccessful.
thank you!As for not wanting to restore, you don't have a choice. It's in recovery mode, which means anything that was on the phone is already gone.

I just allowed HP Assistant to update and now I have no sound - HP Pav dv7

* The subject says it all. If I load a sound file into Windows Media Player, it literally responds with an error message that says something went wrong. Trying to view a streaming video on any news channel or YouTube results in great video without sound.
* HP Assistant told me an update was avaialbe and I allowed it do a BIOS update along with other updates. It worked fine before the update.Try a hard reset, works sometimes.Disconnect all external devices first.
1-remove power cord and battery
2-press power button for 30 seconds
3-reinstall only power cord for first startup.
4-power on

what a waste of an update, someone needs a pay reduction in that place.
my battery life is significantly worse since installing ios 5.0.1
I have the 4S, 32 gig and initially had battery drain issue, daining around 10% an hour on standby. I switched off most of the location based services, most of the notifications, siwthced off all the system services, switched off wifi ad bluetooth and just kept the basic functions and it worked great! was going down 1-2% an hour on standby and last me the entire day with light use.
I thought the 5.0.1 would further improve battery life but since dowloading it, im draining at around 5-7% an hour on standy and quicker when i use the phone.
It is a lot worse now cuz there is nothing else i can swtich off (apart from the effing phone itself!)
So no, not only 5.0.1 didnt help, it has made it significantly worse.
Any ways i can revert it back to 5.0? -
I updated the Adobe Flash plugin this morning. I have tried turning the computer off and powering back up with no difference. My volume controls are not muted and volume is not affected in non-Internet applications.
