HTTP Sender and HTTP Receiver adapter. Pls advice urgent
Hi All,
There is one Third Party that wants to send XML data and receive XML data with XI.
Please let me know can I use HTTP for that.
How to use HTTP Sender part?
How to use HTTP Receiver Adapter?
Pls send blogs/doc for that

Webservice sender and Receiver. Pls advice urgent
Hi All,
My Scenario
System A (WebService) -- XI -- System B (WebService)
Pls let me know
1. What does it mean by WebService needs WebServer?
2. For System A (WebService) -- XI
Do I require WebServer to be installed at System A or XI?
3. For XI -- System B (WebService)
Do I require WebServer to be installed at System B or XI?
Pls advice urgent.
RegardsHi Piyush,
Hi Piyush,
System A (WebService) -- XI --- System B (WebService)
I know the flow -- like both webservices will be impoted as External Definations and will me mapped.
I was asking about Webserver.
a. XI --- System B (WebService)
System B is providing wsdl.
WebServer is required at System B -- fine.
b. System A (WebService) -- XI
System A is providing WebService(wsdl) to XI
XI is NOT providing WebService to System A.
So It is a webservice(wsdl) of System A. It will be given to XI and XI will import it as wsdl.
So do we or not require require Webserver in
System A or XI?
Pls tell System A (WebService) -- XI
Webserver part.

HTTP Sender and HTTP Receiver .Pls advice urgent
Hi All,
Partner A (http) -- XI -
Partner B(http)
Now Trade Partner do not want to use HTTP client tool.
He wants to send data through URL.
Please make the full sender URL for the details below
for Sender HTTP:
XI system -- sapd0aa
Client -- 100
Port -- 8000
Sender Service -- SS
Sender Interface -- SI
Sender Namespace -- http:
abc
Qos -- EO
In Receiver HTTP Aadapter if I use RFC Destination does it has to be of Type G
RegardsHi Henry,
1. Where sender partner will send his XML if he uses the above URL?
Whatever technology , partner is using to send the data, there are some APIs available for establishing the http connection and then sending the data on this HTTP connection.
2. How the user name and password will be sent in the above URL as XI requires User Name and password.
You can embed in the URL by adding sap-user=xyz&sap-password=abc

FTPS Sender and FTPS Receiver adapter. Pls help
Hi All,
I need to make file to file scenario with secure connection
I am using FTP Sender and Receiver Adapter with Connectivity
as FTPS.
Please let me know the steps I need to do for this
1. Integration Directory
2. If I need to generate certificates what steps I need to do:
a. How to generate certificates
b. Where to install these certificates like File Servers, XI
Server etc.
3. How to use these certificates in File Server, Integration
Directory etc.
Please send me a document to do all steps.
In advance thanks and Full Points will be awarded.
RegardsHi,
Deploy SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit.&
Add the CA certificate to the key storage as below.
Keystore: service_ssl
X.509 Certificate & Private Key: ssl-credentials
This means that you need to import the CA hierarchy of your FTPs server certificate into the list of trusted CA's in XI ( either on J2EE side in the keystore service or in ABAP side via transaction STRUST , depending on where your client is ).
If connection security parameter in communication channel for Sender FTP Adapter is set to "FTPs( FTP Using SSL/TLS) with Control Connection" only, file gets successfully created with data at the FTP server but as soon as we switch the connection security parameter to "FTPs( FTP Using SSL/TLS) with Control and Data Connection".The initial handshaking happens successfully and file gets created at the FTP Server but its empty, connection fails when attempt is made to write data into file and we end up with said error thereby closing the connection.

RFC Sender and RFC Receiver Sync Scenario . Help required.
Hi,
I need to make RFC Sender and RFC Receiver Sync Scenario.
Any docs/links for it.
RegardsHi,
I have CRM (r/3) and DM (r/3)system.
Data from differnent tables of CRM system needs to go to
DM system different tables , data will be saved there and then return response back to CRM system.
For this I have given one RFC for CRM system
For this I have given one RFC for DM system
So I have to make Sync Outbound Interface
and Sync Inbound Interface.
So I think so no BPM is required.I am correct?
Adapter -- RFC Sender and RFC Receiver Adapter.

Webservice to XI. Pls advice urgent
Hi All,
My scenario:
Partner A(Webservice) -- XI -- Partner B(Webservice)
Partner A do not have Webservice.
So for Partner A I will make O/B Interface and make WSDL
and export that WSDL to Partner A.
Partner B has webservice
So I will take webservice of Partner B make External Defination and map to the O/B Interface of Partner A.
I will use Soap Sender and Soap Receiver Adapter.
Question:
1. Is my above approach corrcet?
2. Does Partner A and Partner B requires webservers
at their side or not?
RegardsHi Henry,
Question:
1. Is my above approach corrcet?
Yes, your approach is correct.
2. Does Partner A and Partner B requires webservers
at their side or not?
Web Services cannot be deployed without Web Servers. Web Server is mandatory. But for consuming Web Services, it is not mandatory.
So Partner B requires a Web Server
Partner A doesn't require web server to consume XI web service if it is a standalone client.
A lot of Web Servers are available like Tomcat, SAP WAS, JBOSS, Sun Web Server, Web Sphere etc.

HTTP adapter. Pls advice urgent
Hi,
Some cleint wants to send data to PI (7.0) through HTTP.
Now should that client send through HTTP or it can also use
HTTPS.
Pls advice urgent.
RegardsHi,
All XI runtime components using the HTTP protocol support the encryption of the HTTP data stream by means of the SSL protocol, also known as HTTPS. HTTPS data streams are completely transparent to the Exchange Infrastructure
HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure) is a secure version of the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (http). Secure means of transferring data using the https protocol in the World Wide Web where secure ecommerce transactions, such as online banking transactions and other financial transactions are involved.
Https encrypts the session with a digital certificate i.e., HTTP over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which can be used by Web browsers and HTTPS - capable client programs.
If the website begins with https:// instead of http://, it is a secure site. Almost 99% of the browsers can connect to web servers either using http or https. The address bar in the browser will begin with https instead of http, if a web site is secured.
HTTPS Protocol work with the combination of programs including the browser programs which takes care of the encryption/decryption routines that exist on the web hosting servers.
HTTP data is sent over TCP/IP port 80, whereas HTTPS data is sent over port 443.
HTTPS comes in two flavors, both ensuring the confidentiality of data sent over the network
1)Server authentication :
Only the HTTP server identifies itself with a certificate that is to be verified by the client.
2)Client authentication:
Additionally, the HTTP client identifies itself with a certificate that is to be verified by the server

Problem between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver
Hi,
I have a asynchronous scenary between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver.
The idea is sending an ID for updating one register.
Table structure is:
TABLE AS_PERSONA
(P_RUT VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
P_NOMBRE VARCHAR2(50),
P_APELLIDO VARCHAR2(50))
The ID is the P_RUT field.
The structure of message that I send by SOAP, is the following:
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<m:MT_CONS_SOAP xmlns:m="urn:prueba:voliva">
<CONSULTA>
<P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
</CONSULTA>
</m:MT_CONS_SOAP>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
The JDBC receiver structure is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA xmlns:ns0="urn:prueba:voliva">
<Statement>
<AS_PERSONA action="UPDATE">
<table>AS_PERSONA</table>
<access>
<P_NOMBRE>DELETE_BY_XI</P_NOMBRE>
<P_APELLIDO>DELETE_BY_XI</P_APELLIDO>
</access>
<key>
<P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
</key>
</AS_PERSONA>
</Statement>
</ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA>
When I do a call to SOAP by XMLspy, it returns a message without data, that means succesfull reply.
I see message monitor and see the succesfull flag. But in the database it doesn't update the register.
This scenario was proved using the File Sender and same JDBC Receiver, then result was succesfull.
I proved SOAP Sender with a File Receiver, storing information from SOAP sender in an archive, and works well.
Then I imagine that exist some problem between SOAP and JDBC. what could be happening ?
Thanks.Hi,
Looks like the problem is with the JDBC receiver...try updating the value in the table by using a File-JDBC scenario..does it work..check the adapter monitor in RWB..

Mapping between Sync sender and Async Receiver
Hi Experts,
How to do mapping between Sync sender and Async Receiver?
Flow: Sync SOAP Sender Client -> First Async webservice call -> Second Sync webservice call
1. I have to send some input/request details to first webservice call. It will just update the database.If I do mapping with SOAP Sender client and first Async webservice.. I am getting timeout, because it expects response mapping too.
2. Only Second webservice call return the response back to SOAP Sender client.Here mapping between SOAP Sender client and Second Sync webservice call. I don't have any problem here.
I have to pass the same request info to both webservice calls, Please tell me how to do the async mapping in BPM?

Integrtion Scenario using BPM with two sender and multiple receiver
integrtion Scenario using BPM with two sender and multiple receiver
How many Application Components are required?Hi Vinod,
1) In integration repository you can have one or many software components it depends on your landscape orchestration
2) In integration direcory you need at least one service for bpm and one or many for each system in your bpm
also each connection between systems and bpm must have receiver determination and so on.
Advice: Please treat BPM as a separate system.

Http.get and http.post is now what under utl_http?
In previous source code sample(s), the statement http.get(url,response,content_type,proxyServer,proxyPort) doesn't exist in 9i. The sys.utl_http has get_Response but that doesn't take the same arguments. What is the utl_http call that would replace the http.get and http.post of 8i?
In short, POST requests are for sending any amount of data directly over the connection without changing the URL, and GET requests are for getting limited amounts of information appended to the URL.
POST requests cannot be bookmarked or emailed and do not change the Uniform Resource Locators (URL) of the response. GET requests can be bookmarked and emailed and add information to the URL of the response. -
Hi All,
I have a scenario in which there is only one outbound Message interface and 2 inbound message interfaces ( one sender and two receiver). In XI, how can i configure the interface determination for this? Shall i need to put * for receiver and add 2 inbound message interfaces and interface mappings.
Thanks
MichaelUse xpath in your interface determination in case you have some conditions, else u can *** multiple interfaces in your int. det.. also ref:

Hi all,
My sender and the receiver message types structures are same.do I need to mapping in this case.
If it is not required .Let me know in detail,How to proceed.
Thanks,
SrinivasaHi,
If is just to pass the message (as the sender source is the same as the receiver source),
first you should have the Message Interface of you message
then you should configure the Receiver determination, as the sender interface use your message interface and in the interface determination you can use the same message interface (same name). You dont have to add any mapping, just let empty and save. Just use one message interface for sender a receive.
Any questins let me know.

Support for HTTP PUT and HTTP DELETE
Is there a plan for proper HTTP PUT and HTTP DELETE in Flash

UDF in message mapping instead of Java Mapping. Pls advice urgent
Hi All,
My scenario
CRM --- XI -- CRM
In XI I have to open socket connection.
Pls refer link:
/people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/12/15/socket-integration-with-xi
Can Java Mapping code given in above link for socket connection can be used in Message Mapping (CRM -- CRM)UDF?
Pls advice urgent
RegardsHi Henry,
I understood your requirement.
But as per the architecture of XI/PI some message has to trigger your scenario.
In this case there is no adapter where you can directly communicate with CRM system.
Do one thing configure a dummy scenario on the sender side.
Use File adapter for simplicity. once it pools the file with some dummy data in the file it comes to Interface mapping(message mapping) of the PIPELINE steps. Now use the code as you mentioned above(within UDF) for opening socket to CRM system and implement you business logic within that program and write the response to target interface which will infact talk with CRM system.
Dont forget to do the coding in an infinite loop with some delay (if required). Other wise every time you have to put a message for File Adapter for triggering purposes.
You can also acheive the same if you use Java Mapping instead of Graphical mapping with UDF(code for Opening socket and business logic). I suggest you to use Java Mapping.
I dont know how you will comunicate with CRM system on receiver side.?
Thanks,
Gujjeti
