Images in galleries, when clicked, now replace favicon - bug or "feature?

When clicking on thumbnails, thus opening full-size images on websites with galleries, the favicon to the left of the URL gets replaced by an icon-sized version of the selected image. This does not happen with IE or Safari. The "feature" is not really helpful, as small images are most of the time not recognizable, due to their small icon size. It doesn't happen if the source image is of a large size.

You can set the pref browser.chrome.image_icons.max_size to 0 (zero) on the <b>about:config</b> page.

PDF images that magnify when clicked? (but not in Preview)

I'm viewing a 3-page PDF document received from elsewhere, using Acrobat 7.0 Standard on a MacBook running OS 10.4.11. The document contains 4 figures. When I run the pointer (the "hand") over 2 of these images, a short horizontal bar with a short arrow pointing downward from it appears inside the hand. Clicking once significantly magnifies the size of the image, up to full screen or full window width. What happens with further clicks is a bit confusing, but there is no further magnification, and eventually a demagnification back to the initial size.
Nothing like this happens with the other two figures, and nothing like this happens if I view the document in Mac Preview. Only limited information on how this PDF document was created is available, except that maybe PowerPoint was involved at some stage.
Any ideas as to what's going on here?

There's a chance that someone here may know, but since it's clearly an Acrobat "feature" (given that it doesn't occur in Preview), someone will DEFINITELY know the answer over there.

That is not a feature that is supported natively within Firefox but there are various add-ons which I think will do the job you need.
The one I have used is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-slide-show/?src=search Web Slide Show]. This is primarily an add-on for viewing a slideshow of images when they are presented as thumbnails on a web page. However once you are in the slideshow there is a download button which will download all the images in the slideshow. It will automatically rename the images if an image with the same name already exists in the folder.
If you don't like that add-on then here are some others that may do the same job:

Also I notice that you are using Firefox v23. That is now an outdated version. To get the latest security updates I suggest updating to version 24. See the support article here: [[Update Firefox to the latest version]].

Bookmarks menu used to work fine. Recently, now when clicking the "bookmarks" menu, it says, "sign in to access your Google bookmarks," but it does no good.

Looks like Google changed the domain for Google accounts. You'll need to edit the Google Toolbar extension to have the new URL. The alternative id for Google to update their Google Toolbar program for Firefox, but I doubt of that will happen - they have recently dropped support for Firefox. I found these instructions in another support forum.
Open up toolbar.js with a decent editor.
Find:
www.google.com/accounts
and replace ALL with:
accounts.google.com
Restart FF.
Login through the toolbar. Enjoy.
My advice is to get your bookmarks from Google and import them into Firefox itself. If you want a backup service for your bookmarks, use Firefox Sync or Xmarks instead of Google Bookmarks.

I am trying to create a button in flash that will display 4 separate images at the same time when clicked. I can't get the images to stay on when I take the mouse of the button. I need the actions script code to make this happen.

I need to know what code I use to make the images stay once the button is clicked, then I need to know exactly where I place that code. It does not appear to be possible to add the action code to the buttons layer since each time I add a new layer I just get another "up" "over" "down" and "hit" line.

It is not clear how you are trying to realize this from your description. If you are trying to create this within a button symbol it will not work. Explain your approach and if there is code involved, show what you have so far.

While using a drop-down menu i.e. File, edit, image, or even when saving as and choosing the file type; the list appears and I am able to highlight what i want but cannot click on anything.

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. It happens at random time and a restart of the computer is all that helps, then with out any notice it starts to do this again. Mac Book Pro i7 2.2 16 GB 1333 Ram, (2) 450GB SSD both internal to machine. At this point I am losing file because I am unable to save in the file type I need. Does anyone out there know how to solve this issue?

I haven't been unify photoshop much in the past month, but I did try your suggestion and it seemed to work for a while. Today when i went to save a document the same thing happened: click on file>save at this point I can not click on save even though it is highlighted. Tryed to use command s that brings up the save dialogue box, but when I try to change file type I again cannot select it from the drop down menu.

I have tried to use the simple image widget with maximize upon tap/click - however I am can only size the image really small and put on the page. I'd prefer to have a graphic that when clicked it simply opens up the image. This is for a very simple question/answer book. The user is suppose to look at a picture and locate something. I want to put an 'Answer' graphic on the image and then the user can click the 'answer' graphic and it will open up the picture with the answer identified.
Is this possible?

Have yiu tried the PopOver widget? You can drop an image into it, maximise the image and the widgets window...But, you cannot get it full screen.
With iBooks Author, you either learn to use what is available within the app, or look online for third party widgets to purchase which suit your project.

Why do certain webpages via google searches (YouTube, google images etc) not load when clicked but load upon page refresh?

I had problems with my Firefox browser being too slow so recently reset the browser (preserved my bookmarks but lost all my plugins). Now I find that when I am searching for something in google when clicking on certain links the window goes blank/white and shows a long url across the top (showing the link was pressed from a google search) and only if I refresh the page will the link load up.
Not sure why this is the case and could use some advice.
