Is there a way to suppress warnings in FlexPMD?

In PMD there is the @SuppressWarnings java annotation that can be used to suppress all or individual warnings in a class. Is there anything similar that can be added in an AS or MXML file with FlexPMD?

Is there a way to suppress calls to modify view method?

We have a WDP application which consists of a tabstrip with multiple tabs. We find that everytime we click on a tab, all the modify view methods in the other tabs get executed, even though it is not necessary.
This adds to response time BECAUSE WDP executes on the server and there are round trips to the server!
Is there a way to suppress this?

Is there a way to suppress title (e-mail) pages when using e-print?

I work from home using VPN and print by sending documents as attachments to my home Photosmart B210 printer. Every time I send a job there is a wasted page as the e-mail page prints. My office e-mail server automatically attaches a disclaimer "privacy" tagline to each message, so there is no way to send a blank e-mail. Is it possible to turn off the printing of the e-mail page? I can't find anything in the printer menus, manual or ePrintCenter.

There isn't an option to do that at this time, unfortunately.

Is there a way to suppress the parameter form?

We have created a report, in Oracle Reports Builder (Developer 10g - v9.0.4.0.33) and do not want the parameter form to show when the report runs. We have removed the check from the box in the preferences => runtime settings => parameter form, but a parameter form is always rebuilt at runtime of the report.
The report is run through a third-party aplication menu system (FAMIS) and we have no control over the command line that runs the report.

Does your 3rd party application allow you the flexibility to use your own libraries, etc? I know we have an app where we needed to create our own Oracle Form libraries in order to do this exact thing. Other then having access to the URL to take out the "+paramform=yes", I'm not sure what else there is.

We are working on a .net windows service program. In one code path, we will create an oracle oledb connection to an oracle database using ado.net provider over oledb.
We use oracle oledb provider (11g, 64bit) but we found when the path was configured incorrectly, a message box of "OraOLEDBpus11.dll is missing" would pop up. Since it's a windows service, the dialog box can't be seen and thus blocked the whole process.
We would like to know if it is possible to suppress this message box. And how can we suppress it?

Suppress warnings re exclusive locking

We're using ASE 15.7 on Windows but this may apply to other platforms. Certain stored procs where we're locking a table in exclusive mode inside a trans generate warnings: (number 12103, Severity 10)
Table 'x' in database 'y' was not locked in 'exclusive' mode because a covering lock in 'exclusive' mode was found.
I guess I have 2 questions - are we doing something wrong that's causing this and is there a way to suppress these? According to the docs it's informational.

You aren't doing anything particularly wrong.
If you were writing your own reporting client using the Open Client SDK, or perhaps using some existing client that had some features for defining error handlers, you avoid seeing the message by using an error handler that did not output it. If you are using a general purpose client like isql, there currently isn't a way to directly surpress output of the message. There is an open feature request for that, CR 234335. However, it has been open since 2001, and I don't expect to see any action on it soon. (You could open an incident to express your interest in it and increase its priority if you wish). However, there is also a way to just avoid the message in the first place.
The message is output when you use LOCK TABLE to request a lock that you already have.
You can avoid it by checking master..syslocks to see if you already have such a lock and only calling LOCK TABLE if you don't have it.

Template Excel 2010 Save As csv suppress warnings

Hi All,
I am wondering if there is a solution to the following...
I have a template file saved and I cut and paste information into this file
I then need to save the file as a .csv file..
However when I save as csv I get the warning message ...Is there a way to suppress this message?

Hi,
As far as I know, the alert message is used for explaining about settings and functionality like cell formatting, column filters, formulas, and other Excel specific functionality that won't be saved when you save to a CSV.
For example, if you had a cell that contained a formula, such as =2+2, only the evaluated value of
4 would be stored in the CSV, the formula itself would be lost.
Thus, if all you're saving the data, we can safely ignore this message.

No, it's done exactly what it is intended to do.
Syncing of notes (contacts, calendars, etc) via iCloud is instantaneous across all connected devices.

Any way to suppress citation quotes

I mainly use technical reference ebooks (system administration, development, etc.) and I'm having a frustrating time with ibooks, which I want to solve.
Basically, if I copy text from an epub to paste into the terminal, say

Is there a way in the Soft Proofing mode to showHIGHLIGHT clipping warnings?

Is there any way to show HIGHLIGHT clipping warnings ON my image while in the Soft Proofing mode? I am NOT looking to see if color are out of gamut...but if Highlights and shadows are being clipped.

Sorry JimHess, that does not work. If you adjust for highlight clipping in the normal LR mode, which is in the Pro Photo color space, there will still be clipping in the sRGB color space for highlights. You can test this by adjusting an image in the Pro Photo color space, making your highlights kiss each end of the histogram, and then open that image in PS or ACR in sRGB mode. You will see major clipping that you did not see in Pro Photo color space in LR. I'm looking for a way, in Lightroom, to see clipping warnings on my image, while it is being view in the sRBG color space...so I know, once it's printed in that color space...I won't have clipped highlights.

Is there a way in iTunes to save or export the list of "total warnings" that can appear when syncing an iOS devices?

I often have clients encounter a list of the songs/movies/apps that won't sync with their iPhone or iPad -- usually due to missing items in thier iTunes library.

Stupid Question: Suppress Warnings vs Fixing What Ain't Broken

Hey all,
I'm getting about 70 warnings in my code, mostly because I'm using anonymous classes to set up Actions as shown in the code snip below. This generates the warning "The serializable class does not declare a static final serialVersionUID field of type long" every time I create an Action this way:

My question is, which is less of a hack? Do I just throw in a few SuppressWarnings annotations, or should I add a default serialVersionUID in each anonymous class? I'm not using the serialization functionality, but I might want to sometime in the future in which case suppressing the warnings would be a bad idea. Both solutions (adding a field I don't need or suppressing warnings instead of fixing them) seem a bit kludgey to me. Am I just being too touchy, or is there a better way?

Thanks for the input, that does make quite a bit of sense. I suppose my hesitation comes from the feeling that although I was told by the higher-ups to "fix those warnings", all I'm doing is concealing them. I guess I shouldn't look at it that way, especially since I don't use serialization at all in any of my code (nobody else does, either). So in this case, simply suppressing the warnings probably makes more sense than adding fixes that won't be used anyway (and in fact may mislead future developers into thinking I'm using serialization somewhere).
