No, it's done exactly what it is intended to do.
Syncing of notes (contacts, calendars, etc) via iCloud is instantaneous across all connected devices.

Shot videos ONLY in landscape. For photos choose what's you like. Maybe you have to rotate photos on PC. What's your operating system?

I'm trying to add a playlist manually to my iPhone 4. It won't let me because it's trying to delete all of the music currently on my iPhone. Is there any way to prevent this from happening in order to start manually updating it?
Are you leaving the box unchecked to Manually manage music & videos? You don't need to to add anything to the iPhone.
Simply drag the playlist to the iPhone to manually add it. -
I have a ton of documents and databases in AppleWorks v 6.0 that I can no longer open on my MacBook Pro. Is there any way to recover this info? Some documents can be opened and resaved with textedit, but not my database with all important addresses.
I tried Peggy's List > Select All > Copy > Paste into an AW spreadsheet suggestion.
In my case, pasting into the spreadsheet lost all text formatting (mostly text set to bold). The results of formulas were pasted, and checkboxes were pasted as "on" or "off". The DB did not contain any pop-up menus or radio buttons, but I expect they would transfer as a number showing the list position of the chosen item.
Pasting the copied List view data into a Numbers table gave a result similar to that with AppleWorks. I selected B2 as the target cell (for top left cell of the pasted data) to avoid any effects of posting into a header row or column. Bold and regular text formatting looked the same as it had in AW's List view.
Based on that, I'd slip the 'paste into an AppleWorks Spreadsheet step, and paste directly into a Numbers Table.

i just bought a new Macbook Pro and loaded all my info from My old Macbook...now i can't remember for the life of me my Admin Password (which i created 3 years ago)...is there ANY WAY to bypass this on my new Macbook Pro and begin again...?
I assume that you don't have the installation discs, so:
1. Reboot
2. Hold command + s key down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get a text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. You will go through the setup process again, create a new admin account, login to it and then change your existing account password or whatever else you need to do. You can delete the account you made in this process, or not. -

I had to hard reboot my computer again, which is a rare occurance and the previous time and this time I noticed that all of my music from CDs was missing and all of my playlists were gone. I can go back and reimport them, but that takes a long time because I have over 100 playlists because that is how I like my music organized. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening and is there a way to speed up the process by transferring them directly from my ipod touch? Thank you.

This article can help you find out if there are any conflicts between your copy of Windows XP and iTunes, and can tell you what to do if there are. Before going down the troubleshooting route though, you should take a look at this article, which can help you back up your entire iTunes library to an external hard drive, so if this issue is recurring, you will be able to restore from that backup and will not have to worry about losing your playlists or music again:

I would like to designate a single device to control the Apple TV, but anytime another device enters and logs on it takes over the display and whatever is on that screne appears. Is there a way to set the Apple TV so this does not happen?
Glen beck is a conservative news commentator , he now has a tv Chanel broadcasted only by the Internet, is is GBTV I get it on ROKU. I cannot get that or FOX NEWS or CNET on my new apple TV. Love the new device with the exception of my missing networks. By the way, thanks for the remote advice it works great.

My parents were too lazy and didnt know how to create their own itunes account. so I was wondering if either 1)there was a way to stop their music from geting on my laptop and phone,or 2) a way to transfer my perchases to a new itunes account. If anyone has any ideas besides burning everything to discs I'd love to hear it.

If I click the boxes twice they rotate back but this is very annoying and time consuming.
Just checking...still no fix for this? I upgraded to OSX 10.8.4 recently and started using Preview to annotate lecture notes, only to find text boxes rotated later on. Appears to be okay if I go back and click on all text boxes and save again.
Any new updates on this topic re: why this is occuring and how to permanently fix it? -
From what I've read cut off photos are due to iPhone not being 3:2 ratio, but what can I do to fix this? I take all of my photos on my iPhone and printing them out is ALWAYS a disappointment and I feel like my pictures are useless.
If you go to Walmart they have a specific app to print your photos from your iPhone.
Also with other stores they have good systems to print out photos from smart phones and iPhones now a days. And yes by official kiosk I meant any store with a photo printing machine, because if you print at home, size adjustments and all that are very complicated...unless you are like a professional perhaps... -
Pages 5.1 deletes "objects" in table cells. Is there any way to prevent this?
I have been using Pages 4.3 and updated to Maverick; downloaded Pages 5.1, and now when I want to open previous documents the pages app doesn't support certain functions. For example I had a table of images and information related to them, and it is removing the images from the table when it opens the documents. I still have 4.3, and as a work around I am able to open documents in it, but moving forward, I will want to use the new software. Any thoughts or options here?
Pages 5 has over 90+ features removed.
If you wish to "move forward" that is what it is.
Keep in mind that Apple trashed all the old file formats. Without notice. Making it difficult or impossible to reopen your previous work. They will do it again, as they have in the past.
"Moving forward" is probably best with some other software.

I have a new laptop, and have copied over my existing itunes libary, but when i connect my ipad, and go to update the software to the new version it warns me that it will wipe all my apps etc..... How can i stop this from happening and make my new laptop the "home" for my ipad??
Any help gratefully received! :-)Macs use an application called Migration Assistant to copy material from the old Mac to the new one. The macs are connected together and each runs Migration Assistance and the user chooses what stuf to copy onto the new Mac.
Unfortunately I do not know how to do this between pcs or between a Mac and a Pf or even if it's even possible. -
I've been doing this manually for hundreds of images, and it seems like i could create an action that would reference the folder of images and also reference a text file and merge the two. Is this possible?
