Mail received date problem

Hi,
I am using JSMTP for sending mails. My problem is that the date/time which i see in email is behind the date when i sent the mail from application. Why there is such a date/time lag. Is the problem is of SMTP server or the mail server.

If there's really a delay, then this can have many reasons, and it might not at all be a problem with your application. A friend's office occasionally has single outgoing emails delayed by several hours, up to two days. The admins there guess it's some firewall issue (yeah, right, it's always the firewall)...
Try to find out if the problem at the sending or the receiving end, by sending mails to and from other servers. Try to log when a mail was sent - you can verify that the mail server was instructed by your program to send it and that the sending app is not to blame.

Why are my mail receive dates wrong?

During the overnight while I slept, something went afoul with my mail. I awoke to find two unread in my inbox. I couldn't understand why they weren't showing up. I then scrolled through all history (knowing I had read all mail before sleep) to find the unread mail was at the very beginning. They were there because the date received was listed as some day n time in 2009 (before I even had a computer). The time, and day on the mail is correct. So my question is. Why is my mailbox thinking it's 2009? Sorry for the long explanation, just trying to avoid any other questions that may arise to find an answer. I would appreciate any input.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

Anyone ever seen an early 2011 MBpro make mail received dates all the same, unless today or yesterday?

Since I got this MB pro, too many times do the dates read 1.5.11, which, coincidently is the date given in system preferences in language and Text, under formats! My mail, for example, was received either today, yesterday, or 1.5.11, even mail 4 days old! I've had many Macs and NEVER seen this, therefore have no idea where to start. Maybe the internal clock is broken, and 1.5.11 is a default time? It's not the date I got it and restored it from Time Machine. I need help and have almost a week unti I can get a "Genius" to give his opinion.

Are you using any rules in Mail to sort received messages by category, etc. to user created mailboxes?
Check Messages I send or receive appear more than once in my mailbox focusing on the items listed except for SMTP servers since this is affecting the account's Inbox mailbox.

Flash socket receive data problem?!!!

Hey guys, i am using flash socket communicate with a server( which coded by c++) that use binary protocols . at first, it works well! but when the server send data more than 1024 bytes one time, the flash socket client got a ioError Event and disconnect with the server immediately! why?does the flash socket can only receive at most 1024 bytes one time???

Problem in mail api to print the received date of an email

Do anyone know how to get received date of an email?I am using POP3 server.So while printing the date using getReceivedDate(), getting null pointer exception....So how to get the date?...Anyone know this using headers or something?I want a sample program in mail api of java....

There is no logic inside the getReceivedDate() method.It's a pre-defined method i have used.I read somewhere that POP3 server won't give information about date.So it is returning NPE.And there it was suggested to use Received headers or something to get the date of a particular email.I am new to the mail api.So anyone know how to use those Received Headers to read the date of an email?

New mails received after IOS 5.0.1 update do not show graphics but instead unviewable file name and an attachment winmail.dat

I sent out a mail, composed by outlook 2007 in HTML format this afternoon which contained graphics, to several of my friends and copied myself. All of them had duly received the mail and were able to see the graphics in the mail in their iphones or ipads. However, the copy that was extended to myself had only the unviewable graphic filename and also an attachment winmail.dat(which cannot be opened) from both my iphone and ipad (both updated with IOS 5.0.1). Prior to this update, I had no problem of seeing graphics or photos in the mails received in both my ipad or iphone. I ran couple of test mails and they all ended up the same.
Any ideas??

Turned out, it's the Microsoft SP3 update that caused the problem.

Mail receiver adapter - line feed problem

Hi!
I am just configuring a mail receiver adapter. In the module tab i configured a conversion from XML to plain which works well. The plain text file is created but there are no line feeds after the plain text lines.
The configuration in the module tab looks like this:

Hi Abdul,
Check if the data you are getting for the two fields in your data loading are correct. I think it has some illegal characters(I guess it has a trailing space). If possible try and correct it in the source system itself.
If you are doing full load for the master data, everytime the system is going to pull these values in and throw error. One other way of avoiding it will be to maintain routines to eliminate these.
The quickfix will be to correct it at the PSA level and load it again.

There are no specific tables storing the mailbox related data.
To find information about Exchange in SCOM you need the Exchange management pack for the version of Exchange you are running, as well as monitoring the Exchange servers.
When that has been done you can find reports and performance views for Exchange.
I am unsure if you can find this specific information for Exchange in SCOM, i would look into the management pack. If you cannot find the information, i suggest you consult your Exchange administrator to get this information.

Mail receives JPEG as win.dat

When I am sent an email that contains a JPEG, Mail receives it as an winmail.dat. This is fairly new. Is there some setting that has changed? Or is the issue on the other end (sender, Windows Outlook 2013)?

I understand what you are saying and thank you for the response. I forgot to mention that in this scenerio I am the one sending and receiving the file's in question, and am sending to more people than just myself. What makes this more interesting is that the other recepients so far are receiving the JPEG's with out error. I seem to be the only one that is receiving the winmail.dat. Any chance you use two step verification on your Yahoo account? If you've ever had to enter a code that was text messaged to you when you log into your Yahoo account on a new computer, then two step verification is probably on.
If that is the case, you'll have to generate an app specific password in the Yahoo web mail page and enter that as your password on your Apple Device instead of your standard password in Mail Settings.

Date problem when saving mail

I'm using EWS Managed API 2.2 with Visual Basic 2013. I'm trying to import EML file to user mailbox using EMailMessage Save method, and it works great, but received date in Outlook is set to today's date. I'd like it to be date found in EML file.
Can anyone point me as to how to do that?

You would need to set the delivery time explicitly in the create. AFAIK Exchange ignores the received date in the MIME stream. Something like this should work:

Mail Receiver problem

I´m trying to send mail from XI using Mail Receiver adapter, using smtp protocol.
I have tested this server from my machine, using Mozilla Thunderbird and the server works, but from adapter I get an error.
The server requires authetication if the mail receipt is external.
I have tried all possible configuration:
With plain authetication or without authetication, I receive the error in rwb:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication
failed to send mail: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication
With CRAM-MD5 authetication I get this error:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.io.IOException: server does not support the requested authentcation CRAM-MD5
The server is Microsoft Exchange 6.0

provide the user name and passowrd for your microsoft wxchange server.
also check the url that u r giving is correct or not.
u can get the Microsoft exchange server url from the following path.
In the menu select Tools--->Goto Options -
>select MailSetup tab
then click on Email Accounts>clickk Next then click on->change
u will get the address of ur Microsoft exchange server.

How to use sda6810 to receive data from a rs485 channel?

I want to use sda6810 to anlyze data from a rs485 bus. So I use Labview to progame the sda6810 with the drivers.Firstly,I intilite the card,then I cofigued an channel to send data from a buffer,and configued another channel to receive data from the first chanel . But unfortunatly the data I received was not equal to the data I sended.And there are not any error messages indicated in Labview
And when I try to use the GP channel,I found it worked properly.please tell me how I can solve the problem?

Error while sending excel sheet as attachment to Mail Receiver

I am facing the below error when I am trying to send data to Mail receiver adapter. The attachment is excel sheet.
Delivery of the message to the application using connection Mail_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Object not found in lookup of MessageTransformBean.: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of MessageTransformBean..
I don't understand where the problem is. This has been running since long time and last month we have changed our web dispatcher details. I hope everything is fine. But not sure the root cause for this issue.
Please help me in resolving this.

Confirm that you have configured the MessagetransformationBean properly.
Are you trying to convert some payload into Excel and send it as an attachment in the Mail CC? If yes, then I hope that you have included the correct Content_type value.
