Microstrategy Mobile App crashing on iOS 8.1.2 and above in offline mode

Hi,
Running iOS 8.2 on iPad Air, 2nd Gen
One of the functionalities of our Microstrategy mobile reports is to enable offline access for its users. As such, the whole data is pre-cached into the device when connected, and this cache is used to power the dashboards when there is no network access.
Until iOS 8, this functionality was working fine. Since the iOS 81.2 update, as soon as the user goes in offline mode and tries to navigate through the dashboards, the Microstrategy app crashes. We are using different models of iPad notably the iPad air.
I tried using a 3rd party tool to monitor the free RAM and observed that RAM falls below 20MB during such navigation on the dashboard in offline mode.
It would be really helpful if someone can suggest a solution.
Thanks.

Hi Rachit,
Please contact Microstrategy Support team. They could be solve the issue.

  • PlayStation Mobile App crashes

The PlayStation Mobile app crashes constantly.  It can be reproduced by just starting the app and waiting for 1 second.
I launched it, it prompted for an update, and after it installed I launched and it ran.  Whenever I try to install Anything, it crashes.  The only way I can work with it, is to hit the store button (or any installed app or game) immediately after it starts.
Please fix this so I can plan and manage the games and see the start page.
    Thanks

This has been happening to me from the beginning as well, albeit on my Xperia Z2 phone instead. No amount of installing/uninstalling/updating/resetting seems to solve the problem. And it doesn't seem like a common problem either which is making solutions hard to come by.

  • AIR 3.9 iOS - 3632886: [Background Execution][Mobile] - App crashes when suspend

    Hi guys,
does anybody know what's going on with the bug described in the subject? The original notice was:
3632886: [Background Execution][Mobile] Error 3768 is coming when executeInBackground is set to false with notification center pulled down, incoming call, double tab on Home button..
I cannot find anything about a solution or something else. I cannot find it in the Adobe Bug database as well. I think the bug still exists in the latest AIR 3.9 SDK but, I'm not pretty sure. Maybe someone knows a workaround?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Nimit,
thank you for your fast reply. I tested an empty app on iOS 7.0.2, compiled with the Air 3.9 release from 10.12.13 (yesterday). The app restarts, when I switch between Safari and the app. Is this a feature or a bug?

  • Mobile app based on web service data control and VO with VC runtime error

    Hi,
    Jdev 11.1.2.3.0 + mobile extension.
    Windows 7, 64 bit.
Reproduceable with Android emulator but not on iOS and iOS emulator.
I can not test on real Android device because we do not have it in our office.
So I don't know wether this issue is related to android emulator only or to android in general.
Also not reproduceable by Oracle support.
I have a VO "Employees" with a VC "department_id = :departmentIdVariable" and exposed the find method for this VO via service interface in AM.
    (see demo video from https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/developing_with_oracle_adf_mobile?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook).
In a ADF mobile app I create a parameter form and amx:listView like demoed in the mentioned video.
Whenever I test this app on android emulator I get the error below.
Exact the same page used in a second feature works fine.
I found out that the problem only occures on the first attept (this means when I open the page on the second feature first then this will fail and the subsequent call of the first page will be successfull).
The problem does not occure when the web service data control does not contain a method based on VC with bind variable.

Does anyone has seen the above error ?
I have recreated the model and mobile app more than 20 times, re-installed Jdev, re-created Jdev settings (integrated WLS & Co), ran the web services on a different machine.
On my site this problem is 100% reproduceable with android emulator.
    regards
    Peter

Hi, Peter, this could be an issue with proxy server setting. Are you behind a firewall when you test this?
iOS simulator would use Mac's proxy setting. Android Emulator has its own proxy setup - it's a bit complicated to get to and varies based on the Android emulator you are using. For 4.1 emulator (you should always use 4.x or above emulators), you would need to go into the emulator itself, and go to settings - Wireless & Networks - click More... - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names. You should see an Access point used by the emulator to simulate network connection. Mine says "T-Mobile US". You click on it, and then you can select the proxy attribute and set it according to your office's settings.
    Hope that resolves the issue.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

  • IPhone 5 constant crashing after iOS 8.0 Update and Factory Reset!!

So...thanks Apple! You completely bricked my phone with the most recent update.
    Status since 9/17....
    * Performed iOS 8.0 update via iTunes on my iPhone 5.
    * No issues whatsoever until Saturday 9/20 around 5pm
    * Phone starts reseting incessantly about every 5-10 minutes.
    * Performed hard reset. No luck.
    * Uninstalled apps since update. No luck.
    * Noticed upon some crashes the screen goes totally janky (maybe graphics chip failure?)
    * This morning decided to run full factory reset, hoping all would be fixed.
    * Resetting issues start almost immediately and are continuing.
I'm not too excited about going into the Apple store given all the iOS 8.0 issues and fan-boys buying the newest 6 (holding out for 6s if possible).
Has anyone else out there had a similar experience?
    Thank you in advance,

SO, the constant reboots have stopped, but now have significant charging issues.
    * % charge doesn't increase on multiple different charging cables
    * hard reset doesn't solve

  • Face book app crashing even when iPad is reset and fb reinstalled

Why my Facebook app is crashing even after I have reset and again reinstall Facebook?

    Hi,
Try resetting your iPod:  Press/hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.
    Hope this helps!

Archive and Install preserves all of your apps and prefs. including VueScan and something is messed up with your VueScan install. Try removing VueScan and any associated files (search for any files containing "VueScan") and reboot. If you still have problems post back.

  • Apps Crashing...not even opening and other problems

I read through the 25 pages of the Unresponsive iPhone thread...however, I did not find anyone with this issue since updating to 3.1:
All my apps crash. I try to open them, they flash open and then close. All Apps. I can still connect to internet in Safari.
My calls are hit and miss. Sometimes I can make a call, sometimes I can. Same situation for receiving them. Texting is doing the same thing. I have reset my phone many times....so improvement.
Anyone out there have any suggestions or know if Apple is going to fix these issues with 3.1?

I can't answer your question regarding the calls, but I can help out with your apps crashing. To initially fix it, delete one of your apps off of the phone, then reinstall it. I dont' know why but this should fix all of them. Try transferring purchases from Iphone to Itunes. Just click file and transfer purchases from phone.

  • Many apps crashing after iOS 5 update and more. Think Apple will give me a trade-in?

I just typed about a thousand words and lost them. I noticed that my owned hardware list hadn't been updated in years and tapped on it.  The back button returned me here and all that was left was the title of the post and the tags. NOTE: SPELL CHECKER DOES NOT WORK IN SAFARI SO THERE WILL BE TYPOS.
I don't have the strength to type them again. Basically my 64 Gb iPad 1 is unusable in many ways after the update. I have lost too much work and play because of it.  It never gave me any trouble before and if I had the scratch, I would be typing away on an Android tablet right now. Long time user since iPod Touch G1 and have owned too many to list.
Big one, you can no longer charge with older or 3rd party cables.
WiFi dropped completely in further corner of the house until I turned on the dynamic indicator for the flaky location system that shows that I'm in every town around me, and some not around me, but not my town.
Filling in dialogs in Safari is torture, cursor often disappears. Tap around to find it and Safari crashes.
Key lag at times is so bad it gets a word behind. Scrolling in any app is jittery and jerky at the same time.
There are so many more. I typedmup 3x more but lost all of it. This thing is so flaky I have been using my HTC EVO more and more and liking it more and more. If it had a min 7" screen there would be no contest.
I don't want to give up my iPad, but it is always annoying me with its bad behavior, what good is it to me any longer?
Do you think it is too old to take to the Apple Store and ask for a trade-in? I once toasted a $500 Touch with a firewire sync cable and Apple gave me another, no questions asked. Do you think?
Just look at all the typos! I am a technical writer and it is embarrassing. Stinky keyslab+dead spell checker makes me look illiterate. Yes, the spell checker is turned on. I have spent many hours in the Settings applet in the last few weeks.

I have iPhone 4 just updated to IOS 6 as well. App Store App updates are freezing on WIFI. I've twice had to delete the app and re-install. Installs of apps are also failing, causing the app to be unusable. At that point because it is a 'new' install the app can't be deleted. So the app can;t be deleted or installed.
IOS 6 on iPhone 4 also seems a bit laggy.

  • Music app crashes with IOS 8.3 after playing two songs

I just submitted this bug report to Apple:
I have a auto update smart playlist based on zero rated tracks with an album rating of 3 stars or higher.  I play this playlist on random and rate the tracks as I listen to them.  Since updating to iOS 8.3 the music app will play two tracks (which I have rated during the play) and upon the completion of the second track will crash or close out and return me to the iOS home screen.  This is repeatable.  I have music matched switched off and the playlist is freshly updated from WiFi update from my Mac.
Has anyone else experience something similar where the music app will close repeatedly after only playing a couple of songs?

    Hi
I'm also having all the same problems mentioned earlier, ever since my update to 8.3.
Having tried deleting "5 star" playlist, recreating and then re-syncing, does nothing!!
As per ToolMan7x6, I can play from "songs" , "albums" or " artists" via shuffle or regular play with no problems, on my iPhone 5S, but as I can't listen to the circa 3500 songs I have on my phone all day in shuffle mode, this is driving me nuts!!
Any suggestions would much be appreciated

  • HT201398 Mail app crashing in iOS 8.0.2

Today, some days after the latest patch of iOS (8.0.2) was installed, the mail became sluggish, then crashed, then the iPad (3) crashed.  Thinking it was the mail that was in the currenly-viewed slot, I deleted the account from the iPad, then re-installed it. Mail app keeps crashing.  I've only seen problems listed for iOS 8 and the iPhone 4S.

A better solution. This worked for me and several others, from a post from MrsMike921 in the following thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/26725105#26725105
go to your settings, and first go to Safari and delete your history by scrolling down to "clear history and website data". Then go to the advanced settings and select ""website data". It should show 0 bytes. If not, clear again.
next go to iTunes and App Store in settings, and touch your Apple ID, the select sign out.
AFter you you sign out of your ID, restart your iPad by holding down the power button and home key simultaneously until you see the apple logo after the restart.
when you are powered up, go to iBooks. You should get a message that you need to sign in to sync up your books. Sign in, and that should do it.
