Modify or Add to Attestations?

I'm not talking about creating an attestation but actually modifying the data elements or queries used behind the scenes. I want to add a condition to the selection criteria of who is included in the attestation. Example: All OIM users that are provisioned with an Active Directory account AND have a certain value in a certain field. (essentially running an attestation for a division of the company, not the entire organization)

If the value you are looking for is present on the USR form and you are using 9.1 this is straightforward.
See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10391_01/doc.910/e10360/attestation.htm#CIHGBHCH
If not there is, as far as I know, no straightforward way to do this.
You could remodel your ROs and split the objects into different classes so that you can fire off the attestation on the right RO or group of ROs.
Another option is to close the attestation events that you don't want (or be creative with the entries in the database, perhaps not very kosher given that we are talking about attestation)
It would be great to get an API where you could fire off an attestation for a subset of instances of a specific RO based on attributes on the process form. I have raised this with engineering but without any success this far. If you have the same need please log an SR and perhaps we will get the functionality a couple versions down the line.

  • How to Modify Measure Add-In

I am using the Serial measure add-in to pull  information from a meter. The data range can be anywhere from 100 to 600.
I want to have Serial be set for the max 600 lines, but if a test only runs for 500 lines,  I want it to stop running the last 100 lines.
Is their anyway for me to modify the add in, or have a sub routine run in conjunction with the add-in to do this?

    Hi Bharath,
For a Java Add-In you would first need to create a new client on the ABAP side
which would be used during the Addin Installation. For more info please see the
    guide @
    http://service.sap.com/instguides -> Netweaver 04 -> Installation -> Web AS ->
Documentation -> Database -> Web AS.
As for the Patch levels, it will not be an issue as you
can patch the Java components later using SDM.

  • Cannot modify or add contacts to Address Book

I tried updating a contact today by adding a new phone number and everything seemed to be okay until I quit and restarted Address Book. When address book loaded again, the new phone number was gone. I tried this again with several contacts and tried creating a new contact and I can confirm that the address book is not saving changes or saving new contacts after a quit and re launch of Address Book.
I've tried rebooting and repairing permissions, same problem.
Console is giving me the error:
    9/6/09 11:32:44 AM Address Book[212] couldn't write file '/Users/jax/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Metadata/C49788A4-134A-11D9-8A52-000A95CCEC6C:ABPerson.abcd p'
But there is no explanation of why it cannot write the file.
I am running a new clean install of Snow Leopard with minimal installed software and I imported an address book archive that I exported from Leopard 10.5.8.
I tried deleting my entire ~/Application Support/AddressBook folder and re importing the old address book database, and I get the same issue.
If I delete ~/Application Support/AddressBook and then launch address book and attempt to add or modify a contact in my new empty address book, all of the sudden all my old contacts appear even after deleting the ~/Application Support/AddressBook folder. Where are they coming from.
Is it just me or is AddressBook in SnowLeopard incredibly buggy?

I have had zero problems with Mail in Snow Leopard - it's been rock solid and very reliable for me.
I sort of cured the AddressBook problem but I have no idea why it works and I am not happy with my fix. What I did was deleted the contents of ~/Application Support/AddressBook and ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBook and ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.addressbook.plist. I then rebooted and opened up AddressBook. The database was empty except for Apple and my own card which OSX creates by default. I then attempted to create a new contact and all of my old contacts magically appeared! I then deleted the new test contact and edited the contact I was originally trying to add a phone number to. I then quit address book and re-launched it and the new phone number was still there! I checked console.log and there were no errors reported this time (previously I was getting lots of error messages each time I quit and re-launched AddressBook.
I have no idea where those contacts came from since I cleared out the entire database and the cache, but whatever happened, it seems to work now.
    BUGGY!

  • Modify and add Profit Centre in S_ALR_87012078

    Hi,
I have a requirement to modify S_ALR_87012078. Can someone tell me the way to copy this program and add the field on it...because when i see from the transaction code this program are using START_REPORT. Thanks.

If your requirement is to add the field in report no need to copy the program and change.  As per as my knowledge after executing the S_ALR_87012078, select the call up report, and double click on line item report.
From menu select- settings-special fields then it leads to OBVU(It is cross client Customizition)
You can add the Table:BSEG, field name:PRCTR  -save
after that you can Run the program RFPOSXEXTEND through SE38
and please follow the SAP note 984305 for further process

    What I want to do:
I want to get a query script that shows which columns need to modify, add and drop depends on source table (Make any necessary changes to make Target table columns same as Source table columns) . No need to do any changes in the database only want to see the query that needs to run for making these changes.
EXAMPLE: I was using below query to get EMP table creation query. But seeing column information to create same column for other user is hard:(
select dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('TABLE', 'EMP')  from dual

    Tools > Database DIFF
Use the object selector to only compare BOOKS
You'll get an ALTER Script as part of the results.

  • Modifying Masthead - Add fields from Infotypes

    Hi ,
I need to make some changes on welcome message, in portal.
I already identify the par file that i need to change (com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead), and the JSP file (HeaderiView.jsp).
    The questions are:
1- How can i add some fields to the welcome message, with information from Infotypes (R/3)? Can i "control" the connection to the R/3 in this HeaderiView.jsp?
2- Can i acess to the code of "com.sapportals.portal.prt.session.IUserContext", that is imported in HeaderiView.jsp, in order to know which methods this class has and use them?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards

    Hi Louis,
I am afraid your solution will effect the response time and it can create lot of issues. The Masthead will be loaded in the first call, and if you are trying to access the R3 during this your response time will be very high. Another thing is any problem in your R3 side(like network failure, R3 down time etc) will cause your Masthead code to crash, It can even stop the user from logging off, and will not be a very pleasant situation. You may need to rethink your solution.
As far as adding custom fields are concerned, you can always do that. Why you need to do it through the IUserContext i couldn't make out. Its a jsp file and you can put whatever you feel like !!.

  • How to modify or add new line items to existing BOM?

    Hi All-
I have been trying to change Quantity, Valid From Date, Sort String and Item Category of existing BOM components, but only successful in changing Quantity and sort string. I dont know why Valid From date and Item Category are not getting changed. Further, I am not able to add new components (items) to the BOM. Can anyone help me with the coding for the same? I shall def reward the good and helpful answers. I am using the function module, CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN. Send me some sample program for understanding.
    Thanks
    Shakir

    Hi,
Please try to  use Explicit Commit work to save the changes.
check if there in any BAPI FM related to this.
Please check the structure you have passed for these fields.
check the Item category for BOM items - POSTP in table T418. if the entry exists then try to add the values again.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Chandralekha.

  • 'add row' in Modify Table greyed out?

I've got a table (35 rows, two columns each with pics) in my

    > Have I reached a row limit or something?
Does your table contain colspans or rowspans (hint - look at
    the code)? If
    so, then that's the reason.
If you want to know more about colspans/rowspans, read this -

  • End Routine - Modify a record in the cube

    Hello Guys,
In the end routine I have to update a field . The transformation is the same cube to the cube. I want the record to be modified like add a value to a field in the end routine. Since it is a cube it creates a new record instead of overwriting the existing record. Is there anyway I can modify the record. I know I can make the existing record 0.00 and then create a new record with the new value. Is there any other solution.
For example:This is the existing record in the cube
sales order           Item No                      Backlog Amount                      Indicator
    1000                     10                              1000.00
After applying the end routine it has 2 records ( I modify the record with the indicator value)
sales order           Item No                      Backlog Amount                      Indicator
    1000                     10                              1000.00
    1000                     10                              1000.00                                    REV
After applying the end routine I need the record to be like overwrite(similar to DSO)
sales order           Item No                      Backlog Amount                      Indicator
    1000                     10                              1000.00                                   REV
How to achieve the above result in end routine.
    Thanks
    Senthil

    Hi there,
Since you create new records in end routine in the InfoCube, why not delete the old ones?
    You can use the
    delete RESULT_PACKAGE where ...
Therefore deleting the old records after inserting the new ones.

  • Issue with Zoom- Formula option in Excel add in

    Hi All,
In spreadsheet add in when I enable the option, Essbase->Options->Zoom->Formulas and then do a retrieve operation for a level 0 member having a formula in the outline, it returns the members that are included in the formula. The above works fine for a BSO application.
But when I do the same operation on a level 0 member of an ASO application that has a formula associated to it does not retrieve the members of the formula.
Can anyone help me on the above.
    Thanks,
    Raja

I'm guessing that the zoom in on formula does not understand MDX. IT works for the BSO cube on simple calculations because it can understand calc script language and figure out the member names. When it gets to complex formulas in BSO it can't do it any more. MDX is a different animal for Essbase and I'll bet they never thought about modifying the add-in for ASO. As far as I know there were no special modifications to the add-in for ASO

  • How to add the entries and how to delete the entries from custom Z-table?

My requirement is I need to add the entries from program to three custom z-tables . Assume as zabc1,zabc2,zabc3.
Here how to add the entries from program to Z-table.???
And one more requirement is I want to provide a deletion checkbox in selection screen . Initial it was unchecked. If I am giving tick mark then the entries should be deleted from above custom Z-tables. this all will done in backgroung job?
Could you please guide me the logic how to crack this???
Let me know if you need more Info
    Thanks
    Sanju

    Hi Sanjana,
What you can do is to use the ABAP keyword INSERT or MODIFY to add or modify records to a given database table. Here are the syntax taken from SAP documentation:
    *Insert Statement
    INSERT dbtab
    Syntax
    INSERT { {INTO target VALUES source }
           | {     target FROM   source } }.
    Effect
The INSERT statement inserts one or more rows specified in source in the database table specified in target. The two variants with INTO and VALUES or without INTO with FROM behave identically, with the exception that you cannot specify any internal tables in source after VALUES.
    System Fields
The INSERT statement sets the values of the system fields sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt.
    sy-subrc Meaning
0 At least one row was inserted.
4 At least one row could not be inserted, because the database table already contains a row with the same primary key or a unique secondary index.
The INSERT statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of rows inserted.
    Note
The inserted rows are finally included in the table in the next database commit. Up until this point, they can still be removed by a database rollback.
    *Modify Statement
    MODIFY dbtab
    Syntax
    MODIFY target FROM source.
    Effect
The MODIFY statement inserts one or several lines specified in source in the database table specified in target, or overwrites existing lines.
    System fields
The MODIFY statement sets the values of the sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt system fields.
    sy-subrc Meaning
0 At least one line is inserted or changed.
4 At least one line could not be processed since there is already a line with the same unique name secondary index in the database table.
The MODIFY statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of processed lines.
    Note
The changes are transferred finally to the database table with the next database commit. Up to that point, they can be reversed using a database rollback.
    Hope it helps...
P.S. Please award points if it helps...

  • How to add a new data type of oracle to SIM(7.0)

    Hi........
I need to add a new data type(CLOB) to SIM of oracle .can anyone tell me how to modify or add this new data type.
Any pointers to this will be highly appriciated.......
    thax in advance...

    Hi,
Easiest way is to download the table eg into an Excel table (if possible) or text table. Drop the table from the database. Build your table with the new key field. Build the database table again and fill it.
You can do it also over the database into a new table. Drop the old one. Build the enhanced one and fill it. Afterwards drop your (temporary) table.
Maybe there are other ways, but this works.
    Success,
    Rob
