Need sequence and object - where to put them

Hello:
I am also learning ORACLE coming from MS SQL - lost of interesting new points of views and that is where i am stuck.
Inside a stored procedure, I need to create a temporary space to hold records returned from other stored procedures.
It appears that I should create a TEMPTABLE TYPE AS OBJECT() and a CREATE SEQUENCE unid start with 1 on the TEMPTABLE column...
I seem to recall in one of the numerous articles I have been reading that for the stored procedure to compile, these OBJETCS AND SEQUENCE must exist PRIOR to stored procedure compilation.
If that is true, is that the purpose of creating a package, a space where I can create objects and other sequences and types so that the Stored Procedures know about them before compilation...
So the following wont work.....
create or replace PROCEDURE REP_CS_DETACT_MASTER
DIVISION     IN VARCHAR,
BEGINDATE IN VARCHAR,
ENDDATE IN VARCHAR,
MyResultset OUT SYS_REFCURSOR
AS
CREATE SEQUENCE unid start with 1
BEGIN
CREATE TYPE TEMPTABLE AS OBJECT
unid integer,
smid varchar(100),
sm varchar(200),
AssignedCases integer,
ClosedCases integer,
OnHand integer,
RecoveryDollars Money
<++++++++++++++>
END REP_CS_DETACT_MASTER;
Thank you
T

My MS - stored procedure currently creates two temporary tables - if you will - one a toptable and one is temptable. This is how you are doing <something>
In the toptable, I insert a bunch of peoples names that come from what is returned as a result of calling another stored procedure. This is how you are doing <something>
The structure of the TOPTABLE in MSSQL is...
create table #temptable (unid integer identity(1,1), smid varchar(100), sm varchar(200), AssignedCases integer, ClosedCases integer, OnHand integer, RecoveryDollars Money)
so essentially, calling the first stored procedure will result in unid incrementing and smid being populated. This is how you are doing <something>
Then I want to do a series of updates to the following columns as resulting from data called by other procedures. This is how you are doing <something>
So the next stored procedure will populate sm..
update #temptable set sm = <> where smid = ....
unitl all the columns are populatedThis is how you are doing <something>
then the contents are returned to the client and the tables are destroyed. This is how you are doing <something>
there.... There we now have a lot more how and not any more what that <something> that you are doing is.
unless some of you brillant engineers/architects out there have a different approach...I would write a query that returns whatever the <something> is that is needed by the client.

    Hi, Abril_Perez17.
This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default.  Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.  See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled.  This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

  • How can I stop Lion tidying my desktop and putting all my icons in alphabetical order. I like my files to stay where I put them!

How can I stop Lion tidying my desktop and putting all my icons in alphabetical order. I like my files to stay where I put them! Every morning I boot up and all my desktop items have been moved. How can I stop this?
By the way - Lion is the worst 'upgrade' ever.

    Hello again:
I've been to 'view' - and all I can see are the same options as before. Nothing which says the equivalent of 'stop Lion tidying my desktop alphabetically every time I boot up' - alas.
    Hmmm.  Try something:
Trash a preference file (com.apple.finder.plist) and restart.  Then go to the view option while in Finder.  There should be a "show view options."  Select that and sort by "none."
FWIW, I have had no discernable change in speed under OS X 10.7, but that is just my system.  I only use Adobe's free stuff.  Have you checked with Adobe to see if there are updates available?  I rarely use text edit so I have no benchmark.  I don't like the missing save as either

P.S.  I am not being contrary - I just like to learn from the experiences of others.

  • Columns in Finder windows won't stay where I put them!

WHen I open a finder window, put in LIST VIEW, then re-size my columns - everything is good now I can do stuff. BUT WAIT! I do one thing: dragging one folder and nesting it into another and BAM! The columns re-size back to the default. This is a deal-killer for me. I cannot work like this! If there is no fix, SOrry, but goodbye apple and hello Windows.

Open window is a folder named "Photos".
It contains many sub folders: Backyard photos, front yard photos, vacation photos, etc.
It also contains a ton of image files - that I'm sorting into their respective folders.
When I drag an image file titled "Backyard sunny" into the sub-folder "Backyard photos"... the columns all snap back to their default settings. FORCING ME TO RESIZE THEM.... then I drag another photo into another folder and the same thing happens again. THIS IS A SHUTDOWN OF MY USING MAC OS. I either need to return to Mavericks, or this needs to be fixed somehow. This never happened before, and it won't happen in the future, not on my desktop. I'd hate to start asking my wife to start teaching me windows. I've been a mac person my whole computing life (since the early 1990's) and never have I run into a show-stopper like this.
My computer is NON-FUNCTIONAL if the columns won't stay where I put them!

iOS 7 devices need iTunes 11.1 or newer to sync.  Depending upon your computer and the OS it is running, you may not be able to upgrade to iTunes 11.1 based on the requirements for iTunes 11.1.  What computer and OS are you running your iTunes on?  From the iTunes download pages I see the requiorements are:
    Macintosh System Requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor
OS X version 10.6.8 or later
    400MB of available disk space
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
    Windows System Requirements
PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD processor and 512MB of RAM
Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, 32-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
64-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer

I have two phones under the same apple ID and I want to put them on separate apple IDs, how do I do this??

If you sign out of an Apple ID under Settings > iCloud, you should be prompted for an option to 'Keep on my iPhone' in regards to Contacts and other related data.  Then, when signing in with another Apple ID on that same iPhone, you should be prompted to 'Merge'.  If you do both, then you won't lose any Contacts, and the iCloud Contacts will then be merged into the new Apple ID iCloud, but also will stay on the old Apple ID iCloud.
In the future, it might be best to post your own question thread instead of bumping a thread that is over two years old.

I am trying to clear files from my computer. I have a bunch of .m4v protected files that will not delete. They are lectures from college that I do not need anymore and would like to delete them to make room on my computer. I have looked at the help sites and they seem to give directions to change files that people are saving in the future and not regarding past files. I am unable to change anything about the file including the name, so I can not change these past files from .m4v to something else which is deletable such as .mp4 etc. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

Well, most of what we can tell you is already stated in the message you are getting.  A phone can only sync with one library at a time.  You have apparently synced your phone with a different iTunes library in the past, or changes have been made to this library so the phone no longer recognizes it as the library with which it was synced.  To know which you will have to provide the information.
If you bought them using the AppleID you use with this phone it may simply be easier to re-download them directly to the phone rather than sync them, though you will want to resolve that issue at some point.

I used a usb turntable to import old vinyl records into iTunes. Then with the cloud and iTunes match I put them on another Mac.  The songs come up in the music list but they are greyed out.  How do I get them recognized.  The symbol states the songs were downloaded from iCloud.  I would like to get them to play so that I can make a playlist, and burn a CD.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

In that case, there may be a problem with your Finder preferences or window settings.
Try removing these files, then restarting:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    ~/Desktop/.DS_Store
Let me know if you're not sure how to do that.

I was looking for something on the net, and i run into this post. Am not sure if you have found a soulution or not, anyways, if not here are some programs that i love and they show you every thing in your iPhone:
    iFunBox, iBackupBot and DiskAid
am sure they will help you find what you want and then you can just copy them to your computer.
if you use Mac, iPhoto will import everything for you.

  • I have 4 diffrent color puzzle pieces and I want to put them together in one design how would I do it?

I have 4 different color puzzle pieces and I want to put them together in one design how would I do it?

    More info please.
Do you have the 4 puzzle pieces in 4 separate files? If that is the case...
    1. Create a blank canvas large enough to fit the completed puzzle.
    2. Open one of the piece files.
    3. Select just the piece (minus the background).
    4. Copy the selection to the clipboard (Edit > Copy).
    5. Activate the canvas and paste from the clipboard (Edit > Paste). The piece will be placed on a new layer with transparent background.
    6. Do the same with the other pieces.
    7. Now you can rotate/move the pieces as necessary to fit them together.
If the 4 pieces originally are in the same file you can do similar: select each piece and copy/paste, etc.
If this is not your scenario please clarify.

  • Aperture. I have so many pictures and not sure where to put them now that my MacBook Pro is filled?

I have so many pictures on my Mac book pro on aperture that I can not put anymore on.  If I put them on a hard drive h
Then how do I access them like a library?

Aperture allows you to store your Images' Originals on any directly connected drive (must be formatted "Mac OS Extended, Journaled"), and gives you the option and the ability to move your Originals any time you want.
So get an external drive, format it correctly, select the Images whose Originals you want to move to that external drive, and move them using the command "File➞Relocate Originals".
An Image's Original must be on-line in order for you to be able to make adjustments, export, or print that Image.  When the Original is off-line, you are still able to change the metadata, and view and share the Image's Preview.
If you are uncertain about the parts of Aperture, my User Tip is as good a place to start as I know .
Here is the topic as covered in the well-done Users Manual.  Note that the User Manual uses the terms "Master" and "Original" synonymously, and that it confuses users by refering to referenced and managed _Images_.  Image's are not, themselves, referenced or managed.  The Original of each Image is a file (the one you imported); that file is the item that is either referenced or managed.

  • Question on Sequences and how best to use them

    Hi all,
I am used to Premiere Pro v6 and I have recently moved to CS4.1.
Could you explain to me how best and why to use multiple sequences for a single project in Premiere Pro CS4.1?  I understand that you can have different formats on each, but I was wondering if there was a technique for using multiple sequences for a large project, eg a wedding where each scene could have a different sequence.  Am I on the right track.
If so, then how does one preview edited footage that spans multiple sequences?
Your help and advice would be appreciated.
    Cheers

It all depends on your workflow, but personally when doing large projects, I prefer to work on smaller pieces first. Your example of a wedding could easily be broken down into sequences like intro, preparation, ceremony, reception, party and background material. Then make a master sequence where you combine all the sequences into this master sequence. It also makes it easy to place chapter markers at the beginning of each smaller sequence and it makes the overview of the project a lot easier. It also makes it easier to maintain a semblance of organization in the project bins.
When I did a sailing movie last year (http://vimeo.com/1122531) I had different sequences for St. Maarten, Jost van Dijke, Virgin Gorda, The Baths, The Bitter End, Saba and again St. Maarten, plus the intro and the end sequence. When all of these parts were finished, it was simply a matter of putting all in a master sequence and go to Encore.

  • CS 6 Image Windows Don't Stay Where I Put Them

I installed CS 6 yesterday.  My system runs 64 bit Win 7.  In Preferences > Interface, as I did in CS 5, I unchecked both Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window.  However, unlike CS 5, in CS 6 images 'insist' on positioning themselves in the upper left corner of CS 6 and will cover both the options bar and the tool bar.  For example, this will happen after opening an image if I try to move it or if I enlarge the image window (CTRL-0).  If I open two images and try to move one so I can see both at the same time, the one I try to move will not stay where I put it but instead will reposition itself to the upper left, and cover the options bar and menu bar.
As you might image, this makes working in CS 6 difficult and inconvenient.  I assume this is a bug, and wonder if there are any workarounds or other solutions.  To this point, I have not yet uninstalled and re-installed CS 6.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    David

    Hi,
The answer to your question is 'probably'.  I like things to stay put, ideally where I want them.  So far my feeling is that having the task bar on the bottom is the lesser of the two 'evils'.  But your note reminds me to give auto-hide another try.  Thanks.

  • HT1451 Hi I have a few albums showing on my PC that are in my library and I want to put them onto my iPhone

    Hi
I have purchased albums that I removed from my iPhone but are still on my desktop and now wish to return them to my iPhone how do I do this I've tried most things Reset Synch ect
    Thanks

If you use automatic syncing to load your iPod, songs that are on the iPod need to be in your iTunes library.  If you use the manual method to load your iPod (by dragging songs to it in iTunes), the iTunes library is not directly related to what is on the iPod, so you can delete a song from the iTunes library, and it will stay on your iPod.
That error message is a separate issue.  It means that since the song was added to your iTunes library, its song file (in the iTunes Media folder) has been moved or deleted.  So although the song is still listed in the iTunes library, iTunes no longer knows where its file is located.  If you don't want the song in your iTunes library, you can delete it from the iTunes list.
