No able to view message in HTML format?

I have a web server that uses GWIA to send email messages to the Internet and GroupWise users. When I read the message in GroupWise 7.03 HP1 client, I see a blank page. I have to do View > HTML format then I can see the content of this message. However, when I forward this message to others, it shows the blank format.
However, the same email that goes to the Internet is sent as HTML format properly.
I wonder if there is a switch on GWIA that will resolve the above. I only have /flatfwd enabled so far. I am not sure if /attachmsg will help because the same email sends out properly to other mail server.
Anyone has any idea?

  • Impossible to send a mail with a message in HTML format

    Hi
    I try to send a message in HTML format. Here is the code :
        public void sendMessage(String subject, String message, String to, String cc, String bcc) throws MessagingException  {
             MimeMessage mimeMessage = mailSender.createMimeMessage();
             MimeMessageHelper mimeMessageHelper = new MimeMessageHelper(mimeMessage, true, "UTF-8");
            if(to!=null && !to.equals("")){
                 mimeMessageHelper.setTo(to);
            if(cc!=null && !cc.equals("")){
                 mimeMessageHelper.setCc(cc);
            if(bcc!=null && !bcc.equals("")){
                 mimeMessageHelper.setBcc(bcc);
            mimeMessageHelper.setSubject(subject);
            mimeMessageHelper.setText(message,true);
            mimeMessageHelper.setFrom(from);
            logger.info("host = "+mailSender.getHost());
            logger.info("Port = "+mailSender.getPort());
            //logger.info("UserName = "+mailSender.getUsername());
            //logger.info("Password = "+mailSender.getPassword());
                mailSender.send(mimeMessage);
        }and the message is the following :
    String message = "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN\" \"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd\">"+ "<htmlxmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\"><head><head/><body>"
    +messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.messagetosend.part1", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+ user.getFirstName()+" "+ user.getLastName()+",\n"
    + messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.messagetosend.part2", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+"\n"
    + messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.messagetosend.part3", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+ newPassword+"\n"
    + messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.messagetosend.part4", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+"\n"
    + messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.messagetosend.part5", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+"\n"
    + messageSource.getMessage("startpeople.securim.homepage.internet.address", null, Locale.ENGLISH)+"</body></html>";according to what I found on internet, the method MimeMessageHelper.setText(message,true); specifies that the message is sent in HTML format ( second argument is boolean "true" saying it is a HTML message ).
    But I don't get the message in HTML format. Anyone can help me ? thank you in advance

    MimeMessageHelper appears to be a Spring Framework class; better to ask your
    question in their support forum.
    Of course, you don't need to use MimeMessageHelper to create a simple html message,
    and in your case it doesn't seem to be making things any simpler. See the JavaMail FAQ
    and the demo programs included with JavaMail for simple examples of how to create an
    html message.

  • How can I view emails in HTML format or at least o...

    Dear Nokia,
    I've recently purchased the Nokia e90 to use for email using Vodafone push email (push.vodafone.nl) however the emails are in plain text format and not even the links are accessible.
    I have the folowing questions:
    1) is it possible to view pushed emails in HTML format
    2) is it possible to load links from emails in the browser
    3) is it possible to select a piece of text from an email to copy and paste it in the browser (form field)
    Best Regards,

    Message Edited by oakley on 18-Mar-2008 04:43 AM

    Well, that doesn't work for me as it reads from pop or imap.
    I want to be able to use the push email service of my provider for which I pay a monthly fee. It will make emails come in like SMS.
    At least the links should be openable somehow. I receive admin emails and need to select a link to perform an admin task. I actually was hoping that the communicator was going to make it more easy for me. My HTC X7500 broke down and aldough it worked very well for internet browsing, I could only use gmail via the internet browser as outlouk wasn't working very well for me. While the x7500 is being fixed I decided to purchase the e90 for email (communication) purposes but now it seems the email functionality is limited to sms a like without the 160 charlimit.
    Is it not possible at all to open links in incomming emails within the nokia messenger?
    And what about copying text from an email (into the browser)
    Thanks in advance for your help and tips.

  • Not able to compose message in HTML using webaccess

    I would greatly appreciate your input in this matter, since I upgraded from GW2012 to Gw2014-Sp1 WebAccess no longer gives any user the option to compose message in HTML. Viewing Html is OK. This is affecting all users and all forms of composing (mail, tasks, Cal..) IE, Google Chrome . I am running the WebAccess on Windows Server 2012 R2, single server setup. I have tried renaming all related WebAccess folders, including tomcat6 and reinstalling with no luck.
    Please help!

    Cheers,
    Thank You Laura for your reply,
    I am aware that W2K12-R2 is supported, I currently have it running on a similar server with out any issues. This particular Server has issues since updating to SP1, after further troubleshooting I been able to narrow it down to a single file. I am currently working with Novell Support , I installed some new Builds but problem persist. I will report back the results once problem has been corrected.

  • My incoming emailes default to plain text even though view-message body as-originalHTML is checked

    Most (not all) of my incoming emails (in particular from one main client's employees) always come in plain text, I want to be able to view all message in HTML format and reply in html format (this is generally fine fr my response, but the trail leaves all their comments in plain text).
    I have view-message body as-originalHTML as ticked. Stil doesn't work. I run Thunderbird 24.4.0 on Mac 10.7.5. My server is gmail
    FYI, In account settings I have ticked the box 'compose messages in HTML format". Not that that is relevant..

    The email client they are using is relevant, and are you sure your getting HTML in the emails (ctrl+U will show message source)
    The normal arrangement is if Plain text and HTML are sent they are Plain text, followed by HTML. But having both like that is not a problem.

  • Unable to receive email in HTML format on BB Torch 9860 with BIS

  • Apple Mail won't display messages in HTML

    I'm using Apple Mail on my laptop to check email from an account other than iCloud and Gmail.  I also use my iPhone and iPad to check mail from this same account.  Sometimes, newsletters are appearing in Apple Mail in plain text format, and not in HTML format.  What's unusual is that these same messages appear in HTML format on both my iPhone and iPad, so I'm guessing it's not a problem with my mail server, but with the Apple Mail application.  Are there any settings in Apple Mail to ensure I view all messages in HTML format?
    Thanks!

    Emily -
    My wife is having the same problem with her new MacBook Air. She never saw the problem on the old first-gen Air running Snow Leopard.
    Here's what's going on:
    The messages that are having the problem are encoded as multipart/alternative. That is, they contain this in the received message:
    MIME-Version: 1.0
    Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
              boundary="----=_Part_2836956_1545934347.1333570398993"
    Downstream, you'll find that boundary string whenever a new "part" begins:
    ------=_Part_2836956_1545934347.1333570398993
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    This begins the first part...the plain text part. On down the stream, you'll find the part header again:
    ------=_Part_2836956_1545934347.1333570398993
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.=
    w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html>
    That final <html> tag begins the bulk of the HTML code to render the graphical page. The block must end with a </html> tag to indicate the end of the block...but in this message the last line is:
    <td style=3D"color: #000000; text-decoration: none; font-size: 10px; font-f=
    amily: Arial,Helve
    ...and that's it. Obviously, the last word should have been "Helvetica" but ***the message was cut off***. I know this because if I open the message source window for the the same message in the gmail section (not the inbox section) the end of the message looks like this:
    </body>
    </html>
    ------=_Part_2836956_1545934347.1333570398993--
    ...which is what I'd expect in a multipart MIME encoded message.
    The amount of data that's missing from the end appears to be about one network packet's worth. I suspect what's going on is that mail is erroneously discarding the final packet of some mail messages.
    BTW, I've taken the computer to the Genius bar, and we took the time to create a new user account and a clean mailbox and duplicated the problem there in the store. The genius was unable to recommend a solution to the problem, and suggested that I perform a reinstall-in-place of the OS. Haven't done that yet, as I consider that pretty thin gruel from the perspective of fixing the problem.
    In the meantime, I'm trying Sparrow mail as an alternative mail client. So far, I haven't seen the problem using Sparrow (nor, for that matter, on OSX Snow Leopard.)
    Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'll post back in this forum if I come up with a solution. I'll follow the thread...if anybody has any ideas what might be going on please post.

  • Email notifications begin sent in text format rather than html format

    Hi all,
    I have encountered a strange issue wherein i get email notifications in text format with all html code in the email(trying to open wf emails in netscape navigator)...but for all others the emails are begin sent in correct and decent HTML format......is there any prefernce that has to be set up in local mail client for me to receive email notifications in HTML format.
    Thanks in advance
    Aparna

    Open the message and see if there are contents in HTML body.
    If you need the message in HTML format, make sure the correct HTML tags are in place in HTML Body.
    If you do not need the message in HTML format, make sure the HTML Body is empty.

  • Where to add html format for phone # so it dials on touch in List View

    Hi,
    In Apex 4.2 Jquery mobile list view how can you apply html format for the phone# field to make it dial with a touch.  For example, I see how to do a list view of the 'DEMO_CUSTOMER' sample data, but I cannot figure out how to format the phone # fields so that they will dial on touch.  I know the HTML tags to use and I know how to use it in a standard report, but I can't figure out list view.
    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hi, Vincent,
    Thanks for the quick response!  I found the Settings and subtype but when I set to phone it does not make the phone # dial-able on touch.
    In a report I can set : Column Formatting --> HTML expression to:
    <a href="tel:#PHONE_NUMBER#">#PHONE_NUMBER#</a>
    The phone # will then dial out when touched on smartphone.  List view does not seem to allow formatting the column with such a format.  Seems strange that Jquery mobile would not have this type of formatting 'built in' so any subtype defined as phone would automatically be dialed on touch.

  • Today (16 July 2014) incoming email messages are displayed in plain text otnly. The view message as menu, is set to original HTML, Tried other options too.

    Tried change view message body as (already set to original HTML) . Tried all settings, no change.

    If you can never see remote images because the "Show Remote Images" button is always missing check that permissions.default.image is set to 1 using the config editor.
