One Pixel Borders Print Fine But Only Display At Magnification

I've looked around at some other posts on image borders and haven't seen any posts about image borders that print fine but do not predictably display in the PDF. For example, I add one-pixel borders to PNG images I create in SnagIt. I then use FrameMaker (8 and 11) to generate PDFs. When I view the PDFs in Acrobat Standard or Adobe Reader, the various sides of the rectangular border appear differently (some missing, some fat, some thin) until I magnify way over 100 %.
My document reviewers are routinely telling me I've neglected to add the 1 px border to every side if the images, but they are there--just only visible when the document is printed or when it's enlarged on the screen.
Are there any tricks for getting Adobe Acrobat/Reader to display these 1 px borders consistenly on screen? I should mention that this is also the case if I generate PDFs from MadCap Flare.

By all means, blog. But I'm wondering if something along the lines of a petition / open letter format might be more effective in affecting the corporate decision-making process. Those of us affected should discuss and, if possible, get help on who and how to get this addressed. That's why I've asked for advice on who the relevant person is who I should contact. If you've ever worked in a bureaucracy you know that sometimes talking to the right person can save a lot of time and trouble.
BTW, if the Apple moderators are following this thread, I'd be pleased to know what your thoughts are on this issue. This problem seems fairly common, but only among users of the 1.67 iteration of the 17" PB (as far as I know). We are users who invested a lot of money in the best (& most expensive) mobile hardware that Apple had to offer at the time of purchase. We're probably faithful customers who, in time, will spend a lot more money on Apple hardware in the future. Why squander goodwill over a matter like this?
It just seems to make sense that Apple would institute a limited recall to fix this known and obvious fault. It's a good idea for us and for them.

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue. I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

First page prints fine but subsequent pages expand beyond page border

When I print a web page or selection that extends beyond one page, the first page prints fine, but the type size on subsequent pages is expanded so that the content extends beyond the right edge of the page. This never happened before I upgraded to Firefox 8, but now happens every time. My workaround is to print one page at a time -- very cumbersome.
I'm printing to an HP Officejet Pro 8500. I have not changed printer settings since upgrading Firefox.

Same problem here, but it doesn't seem to depend on the printer. Same thing happens when creating pdf files. It has started witha recent upgrade, not sure however whether this hasn't happened already with version 7. Currently I am using Firefox 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Can you describe what you mean by "experiencing slow response"? Do you mean that you don't see the new responses as they come in? Does it takes up to two hours before they show up in the View Responses table when they show up immediately at your other location? And what do you mean but "the form not displaying"? Are you talking about the fillable form or the editable form in FormsCentral?

I have an HP Officejet 6500 E709N that I can't print from but only from my laptop

This printer used to work great. My desktop and laptop were both running Vista. After a while it stopped printing from the laptop, but continued to print from the desktop. I changed to Windows 7 for my laptop and it worked for a while then I couldn't consistently print from my laptop. The desktop (HP desktop) never has a problem. I recently got a new HP laptop with Windows 7 and the first couple weeks it printed fine, but now it still prints from the desktop but never directly prints from the laptop. The Printer window says "user intervention required" but I can find no problems. Again it ALWAYS prints from the desktop. All computers are connected wirelessly through a wireless router. Sometimes when I try to print from the laptop I will find it printed a day or two later. i don't know when it prints and it doesn't always do it. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall on both computers, I've tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor, and I've tried turning print sharing on and off all to no avail. Can someone help me?

You are receiving the error in the print queue status window. User Intervention on that screen can mean a number of things.
Are the cartridges in the printer HP genuine or third party cartridges? I have come across several posts that indicate the issue with this error on the computer was related to using third party cartridges as the problem went away after inserting genuine cartridges.
This post and this post indicate that faulty third party cartridges were at fault.
This post indicates that logging out of the computer and rebooting it resolved the issue.
You can also review this Microsoft Answer's post from a support engineer. Method 1 and Method 2 have already been performed, so start with method 3. The FixIt in method 4 is a different FixIt than what we have already tried.

Quit Safari.
Open the Library folder in your home folder as follows:
☞ If running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar.
☞ If running an older version of Mac OS X, select Go ▹ Go to Folder… from the Finder menu bar and enter “~/Library” (without the quotes) in the text box that opens.
Delete the following items from the Library folder:

Prints fine but the second time it prints it's small?

I have an applet that I finally got to print from but now when I load the page it prints the first time perfect but if I refresh the page it prints the correct image but it's half the size. If I close the browser and open it back up same thing, first one is fine and after that they are all small. Any ideas, do I need to clear or restet something with the printer?

HP Officejet on AirPort Express - prints fine but can't scan

I posted this on the HP user forums, but no response. Can my Mac brethren and sistren help?
I put my sister's HP Officejet 6210 All-In-One on an AirPort Express. She can print to it wirelessly just fine from her OS X 10.5 MacBook w/ AirPort card, and her HP printer utility sees the 6210 as a Bonjour printer. But when we launch the HP scan app, it can't see the 6210.
I downloaded and installed the latest HP package before I even started moving the 6210. Any ideas, anyone?

As dechamp correctly said printers connected via USB will not copy, fax or scan over a network. However the OJ 6210 does have the ability to add a HP Jet Direct network card, with that installed you should be able to use the additional functionality. It has been a long time since I've used a Jet Direct card as I recall they were pretty pricy but they worked extremely well. My suggestion is if you must have the additional functionality (scan, fax & copy) from the network to invest in a networkable AIO.
HP makes quite a number of them in all price ranges depending on your needs and wants, they begin about $149.
The other solution is to connect it via USB to your Mac and use Bonjour to connect to the other machines on the network, then turn on print sharing and that might work on the scan,fax & copying.
While what you wanted to do originally didn't work there are a number of solutions available to you.

In the holster it vibrates fine but only rings once!

Hi would appreciate some help. New to the forum so appolagies if this has been discussed before.
My Storm 9500 vibrates fine in the holster but only rings once! I am continually missing calls.
I can't find how to change it. Out of the holster i have set it to ring for 30 seconds and it does just that.
Please help and advise. It is doing my head in to try and sort this problem.
Someone on the web suggested putting the unit into the holster upside down????

Posting a full years worth but only display current date

i am wondering how i go about posting my rss feed for the whole year but only allow itunes to read the current date? i understand from research that it takes the most current date and uses that as the first. but if i wanted to display September's 06 podcast in September and not July's 07 then how would i do that. i have seen some software that you can purchase that will do this for you, but i would rather code it my self or with the help of others. does anyone have any ideas on how this is done? or have you done it your self. any thoughts or ideas are very welcomed.

not quite. i have cooking videos that i would like to be availbe new episode every 2 weeks. so my rss feed is set up with 27 diferent items, because 52/2=27 52 is the number of weeks. any who so there are 27 diferent items in the rss feed all with the diferent dates. (item 1= aug 30, item 2=sept sept 13, item 3= sept 27....) but on sept 13 the only items that should display would be the aug 30th and the sept 13th. but when sept 27th roles around all prev. are displayed includeing the new sept 27th episode.
i understand that i can just reupload the rss feed and ping the system. but i am just trying to see if i can do this automated style for ease of use and to be able to concentrate on other things.

I would like to build a role which enables creation of BP of type person but only dispaly Bp's of type org unit. using B_BUPA_RLT auth obj we can only control whether we can dispaly or maintain BP's but we cannot control what kind of BP can be created and what can be displayed.

B_BUPA_FDG Business Partner Relationships: Field Groups
B_BUPR_BZT Business Partner Relationships: Relationship Categories
B_BUPA_GRP Business Partner: Authorization Groups
<b>B_BUPA_ATT Business Partner: Authorization Types</b>
B_BUPA_RLT Business Partner: BP Roles
B_BUPA_FDG Business Partner: Field Groups

I used my computer @ work to print a document to eprint. It printed just fine, but I cannot remove the print job in the que in my laptop (not the computer I used @ work). Because I cannot remove it, I cannot print anything. Help

I have a couple of questions for you. When you sent the document to the printer did you use the ePrint email address? When you refer to que are you logging into your ePrint account and checking your ePrint history? Are you speaking of your print que on your computer?

Google images shows 2,400,000 image results but only displays 3,000- NOT a preference issue- why/how to fix

When accessing image searches, such as "typographic resume" I get an insanely large result such as 2,470,000 images. However, after about 3,000 results they stop showing without a notification that similar results have been removed. I have my preferences set as high as they go- it is not an issue. How can I adjust/fix this to show ALL results as I approach them, or the option to load more.

Thanks for contacting Mozilla Support. I think what Chandan_Baba was trying to say is our browser only displays the results that Google gives us. There are no settings in the browser that would limit the amount of search results that you can see.
I would recommend posting your question to google's support. They have a page [https://support.google.com/websearch/troubleshooter/3425345?&ref_topic=3285072#ts=3502652 here] to report issues with Image searches.

such 'behaviour' usually is a hint that your Windows XP does not include the SP2 (Service Pack 2) or later, but is a SP1 or earlier.
Check the label of the CD for mentioning of SP2.
If SP1 you can use these instructions http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxpsp2slipstream.asp to make yourself a XP SP2 Installation CD.
XP SP2 or later is a must for BootCamp to work.
