Is it possible that you've created your application using the Oracle SQL Flavor and then switched the JDBC driver after creating your application to be a driver other than the Oracle JDBC driver?
It looks like the OraclePersistManager is being used, and expecting to be able to cast a callable statement to an oracle.jdbc.OracleCallableStatement, and the JDBC driver you are using is not providing a callable statement object that implements this interface.

This error is only visibility when the result set has a lot of records, when I have a few records this error is not visibility.

Would you please post the entire stack trace including the detail exception? If you don't get the detail exception, you need to get it from the diagnostic console window. Here is an instruction on how to turn on diagnostic.

I am a JDeveloper newbie and got my first taste of it now.
I cannot run my app using the embedded OC4J and so with the app server after deployment (using the end-to-end web app using the default tech scope 9.0.5.1). I am always getting the above subject error. I've seen only around 4 threads in metalink and the answers are not that straightforward.

The DB user i use is the same in my app and it has all the necessary permissions in the database.

I'm also a BC4J newbie, and encountered a similar problem while working with JDeveloper 9.0.3.4., but not until the app was deployed to an OAS.
The first time the app was executed was from within the IDE (embedded OC4J) and there was no issue with creating the tables in the state_management schema. However, when the target and state_management schemas were dropped and re-created (to simulate installation on production)and the app was finally deployed to the OAS (10g), the app would fail trying to get nextval from the sequence (in state_management). However, when running again from the embedded OC4J, the sequence and table were created OK. Afterwards, once the sequence and table were created, the OAS instance could process requests fine. One difference in running the two instances is in the login user - the two users that are mapped to the app's security role are different: in the embedded case it's admin/welcome, in the other a plain "jdoe/jdoe" user. I wouldn't think this would matter, as BC4J uses the credentials of the internal connection to access the state_management schema, but if that's not it, then... ?
What credentials would the first app user have to have? The idea of a separate schema for the BC4J tables is that the users don't have to have a create any table/index/sequence privilege... Would you have any thoughts on how to fix the problem? -

Oracle.jbo.RowCreateException: JBO-25017: Error while creating a new entity
Hi i wanted to create new row in table when page to create new row loads i get this error. In table i have 3 field srno which is primary and 2 more columns.
I have created AM,EO and VO.
In AM i have created a method named createDepartment. Code for which is

I have created the required entity objects and view objects.
I have an entity JobsDEO which is based on a view per_jobs_vl which is itself based on 2 tables,per_jobs_f and per_jobs_tl,wherein _tl is the translation table.
The entity for _tl table is JobTranslationEO and has no VO associated with it.Its the JobsVO,based on JobsDEO,that has to handle any interactions with this entity too.
JOBSDEO has a property set up for HCM_DBSEQUENCE,which makes it read the value of job_id from the sequence per_jobs_s.
Now,when I try to insert into the JobsVO,based on JobsDEO,it gives me the above mentioned error.
One more thing is that the error does'nt occur when we commit a row,its just when we click the "+" button in the AM Tester that we get this error.
Please advice. -
Error while deploying a custom page oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002
Getting below error while deploying custom page ( not extension).Looked into previous threads not going anywhere.
All the VO ,EO are valid. Imported the page into DB successfully, all the files are in JAVA_TOP (*.zip) , bounced the apache.
Worked before in different instance, I think I am missing a step....

Using ADF Business Components I have a JSFF page fragment with an ADF form based on a table with has a column of type CLOB. The data is retrieved from the database and displayed correctly but when any field is changed and submitted the above error occurs. I have just used the drag and drop technique to create the ADF form with a submit button, am I missing a step?

Following scenario:
in pl/sql we have an object type called MULTI_LANGUAGE. This type is used for storing multilingual texts as nested table in one(!) column.
So the object MULTI_LANGUAGE contains a member variable LANGUAGE_COLLECTION of type LANGUAGE_TABLE, which itself is a nested table of objects
of the type LANGUAGE_FIELD (this again is only a language id and the corresponding content)
Also the methods setContent(langID, langContent) and getContent(langId) are defined on Object MULTI_LANGUAGE.
For example: Table having primary key, 2 other columns and one column of object type MULTI_LANGAGE (=nested table of objects)

in pl/sql I have following structure:
Struct MULTI_LANGUAGE (Object type) - outermost
Array LANGUAGE_TABLE (nested table type)
Struct LANGUAGE_FIELD (Object type simple) - innermostthe reason why i had to wrap another struct around the array was because it is not possible to define methods on a nested table. this is only possible on objects.
on the outermost object type (which holds the array of language fields) I needed to define following 2 methods for direct access:
getContent (langId in number) returns varchar2
setContent (langId in number, langContent in varchar2)
I would like to rebuild the same structure in java, because newly written java code should live in perfect harmony with legacy pl/sql code ;-)
Both applications (Java and pl/sql) have to access the same data as long as migration to java goes on.
Is this nested structure too much for a Domain?
Any other suggestions?

I am trying to add a new column to Oracle quoting.It has already been customized by some consultant few years back. I followed the note 392728.1 on metalink and also have the documentation by the previous consultant but getting the error oracle.jbo.AttrValException: JBO-27019: Get method for attribute Draft in HeaderVO could not be resolved after adding my column, when I try to print the quote.
Here are the steps I took
1) added a column to the query (at the end) in HeaderVO.xml
2) added the below code in the HeaderVO.xml

I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.

I'm new to OAF,
I have created a Page, In that i have an LOV to a Message Text input box and it returns values to another 6 text boxes from my custom table(1). and in the same page i have some radio buttons also check boxes and "save","cancel" buttons.here i have created another custom table(2) for store these values if i click save button it has to store the page values to custom table(2) columns.
But i tried my level and i got the an error message oracle.jbo.RowCreateException: JBO-25017: Error while creating a entity row
can anyone help me to resolve it.

you mean to say that
" to display values on the page you are using table1" and when you click on save button "you want to store the same values into Table2".
if this is the case, we can do this.
what you need to do is:
1) create EO for Table2.
2) Create VO based on Above VO.
3) Attach this VO to AM(for which you have attached Table1 VO).
when you click on "Save" Button,
programmatically assign values from Table1 VO to Table2 VO.
and commit the transaction.

I am developing a page which would insert values into the database. However when I run the page, I get the following error:
Error - oracle.jbo.RowCreateException: JBO-25017: Error while creating a new entity row for RepeatPayEO.
It gives the error at the highlighted line in my Application Module (RepeatPayAMImpl)

ThanksThis can happen in the following scenarios:
1. You are passing a rowkey for a row that doesn't exist anymore.
2. Your rowkey values no longer match the row's attribute values becuase the row has been edited.
3. You obtained the row key from one view object and are trying to locate the row in a second view object and the criteria for the second view object doesn't contain this row due to its query criteria.
