Plugged in new Iphone 5 to computer and it says can't access due to password, but don't have a password set yet
I just got my new Iphone 5s activated at verizon. I came home to plug into my computer to get all my apps, etc that I had backed up from old phone. Computer keeps saying it can't access the new phone due to a password and that I need to enter password and try again. However, I don't have a password set on the new phone. Any help would be appreicated....I don't want to loose all my back up.

The photos and videos were obviously taken before I plugged it in and I didn't get a chance to back it up. It just synced and erased everything once I plugged it in. Possibly prompts from iTunes on your compute when you plugged in the phone that you didn't read before selecting an option...
The bottom line is, if they are not on your computer as a result of the sync, and you didn't back them up previously, then they are gone. -
I have a new iPhone 5 from T-Mobile. I can send simple texts just fine. However, I have to turn off wi-if and enabler cellular to send texts to more than one person or to attach a picture. Is there a way around this?
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I recently deleted cookies from my computer and now I can't access any of the sites i used to use with usernames/passwords. even after requesting ne wpasswords etc. the pages just keep resetting
If you are using Safari, empty the Safari cache.
With Safari open, press Command + Option + E on your keyboard.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I plugged my new iPhone into iTunes but my wife was still logged in, now when I try and download or purchase anything it comes up with my wife's ID even though when I check the apple ID on the phone it is my ID, how do I correct this.
I recently had a 32gb iphone 4 I backed up the phone via cable to my pc and when I tried to sync the 16gb iphone 5 no apps synced and some other data as well there was an error message saying there is not enough room. there is plenty of room on the new phone for apps, is there any way i can access the photos and apps that are on my pc? I am mainly concerned about my photos. Do I have to buy a 32gb phone now?

Unless you had backed up some of your data to iCloud, there's no way to get it back with the exception of previous iTunes purchases which can be redownloaded.

Backing up the iPhone to the computer won't transfer the music to it; to do that, you need to use the Transfer Purchases function. If you're looking for music already on the computer, search it for files with an extension of mp3, m4a, or m4p.

when I plug my iphone into my computer it recognizes it but when I open itunes my device isn't their then a short while after i get a notification saying my device timed out how to i connect it to itunes?

The songs show up on itunes as bought, on the itunes app they are under the more ---> purchased but not downloaded. So i download them and they still don't showing up in my phones library.
Thanks Stephen! I did indeed miss the "Update iTunes Match". I got my hopes up that this would fix it, but alas, no luck. I clicked that on my computer, and it said it was doing a bunch of updates, looked like it was uploading my new setup to the cloud. I then opened up my music on my phone and sadly, nothing had changed. All my old playlists were still there and none of the new ones. I even went into the settings and turned off Match, then turned it back on; went back into my Music and all my playlists were gone and it started downloading them again (thankfully just the lists, not the music, so it didn't take long). But again, it just brought up the old lists and not the new ones.
Any other ideas?

I need help with my music. I got the Iphone 4s and plugged it in my new computer..I can see the list of my songs but as soon as i click to listen to it.. jumps into next song and I can't play any of them. I did my back up to Icloud yesterday..but not sure how to restore from that back up..also would like to have all this songs transfered to my computer
thank youDid you by chance have photo stream turned on? If so then they might be there. When you restored your phone it deleted everything and they will be unretreivable from your computer.

My iPhone was running on the latest iOS 7.1.2 the latest just before the release of 8.0.2
The phone just went blank on me while the download anf update was running, I can now only see the iTunes emblem and a cable plug in on the screen as if the download is still running
I tried switchingoff and on and nothing happens, after it switches off, the same items come back to the screenThanks Chris for your advice. I have done the restoration from both the device and computer as a new device but it doesn't help. Even I have restored my device to the factory settings with standard apps in it without installing any other additional apps, the phone heats up & I have to recharge at least 3 times per day. This is abnormal to me.

Movies purchased on computer and home shared can be played on Apple TV but not iPad Mini.
Hi - I've recently purchased Dark Knight Rises and Toy Story 3 via Apple TV. Purchased, not rented. I then downloaded the movies on my
Computer (MacBook Pro mid 2010, iTunes 11.0.1). I then home shared the movies on the computer.
I can see and play the movies on Apple TV and the computer. However, those movies do not appear under the Video app on my ipad mini. Other movies, including ones I purchased recently, show up and play just fine on the ipad mini.
The default resolution is set to 1080p in iTunes on the computer. The computer is running OSX 10.8.2.
Any suggestions?I think I've isolated the problem. The shared videos that are missing from the ipad mini "Videos" app are 1080p. I thought the ipad mini could play 1080p, or at least downcode to somthing it could display.

hi I have forgotten my power on password and now Ipad has locked me out saying contact I tunes , I have tried doing this nbut it says i need pass code so basically going round in circles.
Place your iPad into recovery mode, which will require restoring your iPad with iTunes which is required when forgetting the Passcode Lock.
