Prevent users from printing the List of Business Partner window

Hi All
I have had this request and not sure if it possible.
He wants to prevent the users from printing the List of business partner.
That is when you do a search on the marketing documents.
when do a search it brings up the window, List of Business Partners.
they can go to file print...choose table and print the list of BP.
is there anyway to prevent that?

is it a smartform
You have to disable from ADOBE end
sfpoutputparams-NOPRINT = X
when calling the function module FP_JOB_OPEN.
Unfortunately the PDF converter, which converts the output
of a Smartform, does not allow to disable the print button.
Please see note 841850 about this. Only the PDF-based forms
support this features (class CL_FP_PDF_OBJECT also belongs
to the PDF-based forms).

Is it possible to prevent users from using the ''Purge'' option from the ''Recover deleted items'' in Office 365?

After speaking with a Microsoft engineer over the phone, I've been told that there is no way to prevent users to go to their OWA and manually Purge specific items from the ''Recover deleted items''. The Microsoft tech told us to place the desired mailboxes
on a litigation-hold and that all data will be recoverable... but only from the time you place the mailbox onto Litigation-Hold and previous items, which doesn't take effect for new-coming emails.
1- From what I understand, any new items coming in the mailbox after the Litigation-Hold is put in place will still be ''purgeable'', right?
2- Is there a way (PowerShell, Security group, etc.) that can prevent a user from using the Purge option?
We are very surprised that there is absolutely no thread that talks about this issue, which in our opinion, is a major legal and security flaw from Office 365. This is a main concern for us to actually go with Office365. For instance, this means that at
any given time, if a user exchanges emails with a competitor, they can manually purge emails sent and receive as soon as it is sent/received, even after Litigation-Hold is in place.

How to prevent user from deactivating the adobe software

I am working in a training center, We've got 20 machines here installed with Adobe CS3 production premium (not using network license). The problem now i foresee is the software deactivate problem, i found user can deactivate the adobe software even they dont have XP administrator rights.
And what i know about activation of adobe software is that there is a limit of activation count of 30 tries and after that i have to call the adobe technical support for help.
Is there any way that i can prevent user from deactivating the software in terms of registry modification or what other kinds of method.

If you have 20 machines I assume you have a volume license, which does not require de/activation anyway.
If you have 20 separate licences... well, the only thing I can think of is to block the Adobe Activation domains of adobe.com through the firewall of your network. You should probably contact Adobe directly for more specific info.

I want to determine the list of Business Partner present in the specified Post Code Location.
Is their any direct way around to determine the list of
Business Partner ? or Please let me know the possible ways to determine the BPs with the given Post Code !!!!

Hi Jack,
Have a look at BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH function module.
Enter the Post Code in the ADDRESSDATA structure and it will return list of Business Partners for the same.
Also ,have a look at BUPA_PARTNER_CONTACT_SEARCH function module.

Sharepoint 2010: prevent users from editing a list in the datasheet view

Hi,
I have a sharepoint 2010 list that I need to prevent users to edit from the datasheet view. This is because I have edited the add item form on sharepoint designer and included some custom code. Moreover, I need to allow the users to view the list in datasheet
view to make use of the datasheet custom filter view feature which is not available in the standard view. So I need users to access the datasheet view of the list in read mode only but be able to edit the list in standard view only. Is this possible? How?

Maybe this helps...I found some users having the problem that the list WAS read only in datasheet view...this is a list of reasons why this could happen:
Certain columns, such as Created By and Modified, are always read-only. Values for these columns are entered automatically.
The changes you made to the selected row or column have been submitted to the server. If there is no conflict or error, you will be able to edit the row or column after the changes have been saved.
There is an unresolved conflict or error in the selected row or column. Resolve the conflict or error before attempting to edit the selected row or column.
The list is set up to require content approval, and you are viewing the list in the All Items view.
In the My Submissions view of a list that requires content approval, the
Approval Status and Comment column are read-only. Only a user with Manage Lists right can edit these two columns.
Attachments are read-only in a list that requires content approval. You cannot view or edit attachments in any of the views.
The document in the current row has been checked out by a user. You cannot edit the columns in the row until the user checks the document in.
You do not have permission to edit the column or row. Contact the list author for more information.

Is there a way to prevent users from changing the Advanced, Connection, Settings Tab?

I need to stop network users from changing the proxy settings to avoid the firewall. Is there any way to disable or prevent them from getting to the advanced, connections tab, and changing the settings for the proxy?

You can lock the corresponding prefs, then users won't be able to change the settings.

GPO to prevent users from accessing the root folder of their profile doesn't work

Here's the scenario:
In a Windows 2012 RDS I created two groups called RemoteApp users and remote desktop users.
These groups are defined in the collection for the corresponding RD Session hosts.
These groups are not included in any other group, but they are located under an OU -called Remote Users.
In the domain controller I have created a GPO named "Restrict access to root drive" which is linked to the Remote Users OU.
The GPO I selected is - "Prevent users from adding files to the root of their users files folder"
This doesn't seem to work. I have waited more than a few hours to allow the 90 minutes update, plus used the gpupdate /force
but when a user clicks on the RemoteApp (Excel in this example) then access to the C: drive (which is the root folder of the user's profile) is enabled, and the user can create folders and save files under C:.
I tried to run gpresult for the specific user but the GPO I created wasn't mentioned.
I thought this would be a straight forward mechanism, but somehow it looks like something is missing.
I have read about loopback and expanding, but not sure if this is what needs to be done, and if yes - I'd appreciate if I can get step by step instructions. Everything I found so far was VERY vague.

One more detail that may be relevant - the DC is a Windows Server 2012, and the session host is a Windows 2012 R2.

The USER accounts need to be in the OU your GPO is linked to. Despite
their name, GPOs do NOT apply to groups, but to users (and computers).
Groups only provide an additional layer of filtering...

Mx.core.Window - prevent user from closing the window?

mx.core.Window has properties 'maximizable' &
'minimizable', but there doesn't seem to be any 'closable'
property. In my application I'm creating another window (apart from
the main application window) that needs to be open the whole time
the application is running. If I can't prevent the user from
closing the window, then I'll have to rig up some code to
automatically re-open it if the user closes it. I'm hoping there's
a way to prevent the user from closing the window in the first
place though.

Prevent User from Editing the Credit Limit Field

I would like to find out if there is a way to restrict user that has full authorisation to BP Master Data from changing a specific field on the Master Data.
The scenario is that we allow an user to edit BP Master Data but would like to prevent the user from changing the credit/committment limit fields as it has financial risk and only managers can do so.
If there any way within the stand SAP authorization that can achieve this requirement?

This would not be achievable through standard authorization. You may try SP_Transaction_Notification instead. Search within forum, there are many threads discussing this SP.

Prevent user from closing the applications

Hello,
we would like to deploy to our users web application using Internet Explorer which is published over RemoteApps. Because this application takes long time to load we would like to prevent user from closing application. So we would like that session and application
stays opened when the user clicks on close button on Internet Explorer that is published over RemoteApps.
In other words, we would like to disconnect client from RemoteApp session, but stay logged in and keep the application running in the background.
Is this possible to do?

Last week I have found a VB script on one forum that would close the RemoteApp Windows without closing the appliaction on server but I can't find it today. Does anybody know something about this script?

I'm trying to print onto mailing labels, but it won't line up correctly. It looks right on the template and the 1st row prints right. The text keeps moving down a line on each row of labels, preventing it from printing the rest of them correctly.

There are several ways you can go about this.
1. Most labels come with Word templates or downloadable Word templates. Simply open those in Pages.
2. Make a table with extra cells for the thin spaces between the labels and skinny those down to match the spaces. ie You have big fat cells for the actually labels and thin narrow empty ones for the gaps.
3. Make a floating Text box the size of one label, format with dummy text just the way you like it.
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder text+
You can now drag and drop snippets of text, the addresses etc onto those and it will replace them matching the style of the existing text.
You duplicate that text box into position of the other labels by clicking on it with the command kety held down, then drag copy it up or across with the option and shift keys held down. Fine tune the positions with:
+Inspector > Metrics > Position+

1. How can I restrict users from printing a document? i.e. billdoc? I would like to know if I could block it though authorization. If yes, what auth obj to use?
2. How to restrict certain users from exporting to local file? the System> List>Save-->Local File. I have tried restricting it using auth object S_GUI but it seems it is only applicable to older versions of SAP. im on ecc6.

Check this:
Create your own gui status and attach it to the list in the event START-OF-SELECTION.
In the menu painter extra -> adjust template.
Make it a list status and you will see all the standard list options appear including list->download
Deactivate the ones you don't want.
If you just want to prevent users from downloading the list you can achieve this with authorization object S_GUI, activity 61. Menu option will still be there though.
Please note that if you remove authorisation for S_GUI activity 61 then all downloads will not be possible.
If you just want to disable downloads only for a particular report, you can try this test program:

Dear Friends,
I have uploaded and linked a scanned document to SAP FI Document by transaction code OAWD by SAP Archive Link.
Say 1700000145,
Co.Co. BP01
Fis Yr. 2011.
Object BKPF
User is able to see the linked document in FB03 from Services for Object>Attachment List.
I want to restrict the user from printing the document.
I checked with Authorization Object "S_WFAR_KPR" & "S_WFAR_OBJ". But this did not help.
Can you please guide me how to handle this scenario.

Hi Mangesh,
Have you seen in roles , object for activities like create,change,display. Kindly check if you have a option for print in activity. from there you can restrict. But if don't find such a option then you can't control printing otherwise you have to restrict the user for displaying also.

How to prevent users from running PRC: Transaction Import from WebADI form?

We are 12.1.3 and trying to create a workflow to approve Project transactions coming through web ADI before they become effective. To this end, we want to prevent users from running the PRC: Transaction Import from the Web ADI.
I know that if the checkbox Automatically run transaction import is not checked, the program does not run. But we want to hide this checkbox and not allow the possibility that the program could get triggered.
To this end, we updated the BNE_INTEGRATORS_B with source='C'. This allows you to edit the integrator from Desktop Integration Manager.
UPDATE BNE_INTEGRATORS_B SET SOURCE ='C' WHERE INTEGRATOR_CODE ='PAXTTRXB'
In the 4th step, where the value for Uploader Parameters is set, we have set boolean value to No. These are the fields on the page:

Display Options: Displayed: Unchecked

Now the checkbox is not appearing for the user to check it, But the program is automatically running when you hit Upload in the WebADI.

Try removing the PRC: Transaction Import Program from the request group for the responsibility used by customers to submit the WebADI and then check if the program launches.

Prevent user from doing device transfer using desktop manager

My company would like to prevent user from using the Blackberry desktop manager to perform the device transfer. The reason is we do not want the user to have company data stored on privately-owned device. Is there a way to do that?

Do you want to prevent them from using the program all together, or just from using the Device Switch Wizard? If not, then what do you mean by device transfer?
