Print Multiple Pdf's with Acrobat X pro

I would like to print multiple pdf's from folder but when i highlight like 7 pdf's then do right click there is no option to print.  We had this option in acrobat 9 pro.
Also one of the user computer only ahve acrobat reader and that user able to print mulitple pdf's.
How can i fix this? pls help
Thanks

Having a similar issue with Acrobat Pro X, currently version 10.0.3 (I will be updating it tonight). If I right click a PDF and select print, Acrobat launches  but doesn't open the document or print. It just opens to the initial screen (where you can open, create, etc). If I right click on a PDF and select Open, Acrobat launches and opens the document and from within Acrobat I can do a File -> Print and it works - so it's just a problem when trying to Print from a right-click.
I can right click on other doc types and it prints just fine, can select multiple files of the same type and they print as well if I right click -> Print. This is only happening with Acrobat so it's not an OS issue. I have the same problem on 2 boxes.

    Hi higi97,
How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?
You may try to follow the steps below:
    1.Close the Creative Cloud application.
    2.Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
    3.Delete the opm.db file.
    4.Launch Creative Cloud.
Let us know if that helps,

  • Optimize my pdf file with Acrobat 10 pro

I have always been able to optimize my pdf file with Acrobat 10 pro until now.  It gives me the following error.  Runtime error, This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the applications support team for more information.  I just need to make it smaller as there is a cap on the senders end that I am sending it to.  I have also tried the reduce pdf and get the same reply.  [email protected]

PDF's with forms can only be optimized with a SAVE AS and the option set to "Save File For Fast Webviewing".
Be sure that option is set and just do a save as and then rename the file back to your original.

  • Word 2000 hyperlinks don't work in .pdf created with Acrobat 9 Pro

I'm new to Adobe Forums, so please overlook the effrontery of my posting a query previously discussed. Perhaps someone can simply reply with a link to the prior discussion. I have installed Acrobat 9.2 Pro in 2 computers, one running XP64 Pro, the other XP32 Pro. Word 2000 is installed in both. All Word hyperlinks work fine, but after .pdf conversion using Acrobat 9.2 Pro, none of these work. In 'Preferences', I have navigated Convert to PDF > Microsoft Office Office Word > Edit Settings > Add Links to Adobe PDF File and confirmed that the Add Links feature is enabled. Having ascertained that this glitch is not specific to either XP64 or XP32 operating systems, I uninstalled Acrobat 9.2 Pro from the XP32 computer and reinstalled Acrobat 6.1 Pro. Then using the same Word 2000 document, I converted to .pdf using Acrobat 6.1 Pro, with no problems whatsoever. This looks like a serious bug in Acrobat 9 Pro, which the telephone support folks have acknowledged. Alas, they won't give me the tiniest clue how to resolve it, nor any workaround, but merely refer me to AdobeForums.com for help. I suspect a corrective patch or 'upgrade' will be forthcoming, but meanwhile, if anyone knows of a workaround, please enlighten me. Thanks. /rmbrown

Thank you, CtDave, for your speedy reply and for the 'Acrobat Technical Evangelist' knowledge base article. Word 2000 is one of Microsoft's masterpieces - by disabling 'autosave', the application is totally stable, does not require 'activation' by Microsoft. Acrobat 9 enables 'saving' of interactive .pdf forms, a most valuable feature and one much appreciated by anyone completiing such forms. There must be more to this issue than 'incompatibility', because I can create a test Word 2000 document, hyperlink a valid URL, convert to .pdf with Acrobat 9, and the hyperlink works fine in Acrobat 9. When I attempt to do this using a much more complex Word 2000 document, embedded with scores of hyperlinks, these links fail to work following conversion to .pdf with Acrobat 9, but work fine following conversion to .pdf with  Acrobat 6. I can then use Acrobat 9 to open the .pdf created with Acrobat 6, and successfully edit any of these fully functional hyperlinks using the 'Link tool'. I don't know who prepared the 'Acrobat Technical Evangelist' article (AF1908DCd01) - no credits were cited, and I'm far from certain that this authentically belongs to Adobe's knowledge base. So I appreciate your sharing this information with me, but I cannot say that my question has been definitively answered. If you have any further information or tips, please reply in this thread. /rmbrown

  • How to edit a PDF created with Acrobat XI Pro after signatures have been applied (like I can in 7, 8.0

I have a major issue that I need to resolve before we can purchase Acrobat XI Pro:
Currently, with Acrobat 8.1 Pro, after all signatories sign a document, we add an Effective Date (we add it after they sign since we don't know when the last signature will be acquired and we can't have an Effective Date that is before the date of the last signatory, otherwise, it would be effective before they signed it, which is not possible). I'm also allowed the latitude (as stated in our Documentation Control procedure) to make spelling corrections, hyperlink updates and minor formatting changes (by using the typewriter tool and also by replacing a page that is NOT the signed page if the change repaginates the document or involves modifying a hyperlink that has changed).
In all of the previous versions of Acrobat that we've used (7 Pro, 8 Pro and 8.1 Pro) , this has been easily possible and all changes would be listed under the Signatures tab, which is exactly what we want, which is traceability.
I'm using the trial version of Acrobat XI Pro now but am getting the message "This document is signed and can not be edited." If I bring the same PDF that was created from Word 2003 & 2013 using Acrobat XI Pro into 8.1 Pro, though, I CAN add the date, use the typewriter tool and replace non-signed pages, save it and exit without clearing or losing any signatures.
My question is this: How can I do this in Acrobat XI Pro, as XI Pro (in the Signature pane) also lists the changes made to the document when it was edited using 8.1 Pro? (It's OK that the changes made to the PDF then mark the signatures as "invalid", as the reason why they were invalidated is also listed in the Signature pane, e.g. "Form Field Added", which is usually the applied Effective Date.)
    Thanks for any help!

Acrobat versions prior to 9 had a bug which allowed you to do what you did. In Acrobat 9 this bug was fixed. In order to do what you want you need to certify (apply special certification digital signature with your certificate -- it is "Certify (Visible/Invisible)" choice in the "Work with Certificates") your document first. In the process of certification you can specify which modification permissions you allow the users of your document to make after signing. Certification signature must be the first signature in the document.

  • Font Error Message While Editing a PDF File with Acrobat XI Pro

    Hello,
I have Acrobat XI Pro running on Windows 8.1
I scanned a PDF File and then went to "Tools - Text Recognition - In This File - Edit - OutPutStyle ClearScan etc etc" and got the file into "Edit Mode".
When I replace a "number/digit", the replacement digit font is "very small" and there is a "Yellow Triangle" error message which says the following.
"The Original Font Fd 3168 is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font "Minion Pro" font in its place.
Anybody know how to overcome this error message/problem OR alternatively how do I change the FONT of the whole page to some other Font?
Also how do I find a "similar or equivalent font" for Fd 3168 font that Adobe Acrobat says, is not available.
    TIA

    Hi Bill.  Thanks for replying.
Unfortunately, I don't have the option of using the original DOCX file.  The author lost it, leaving only the pdf around
I'm using AA XI 11.0.06.  Upgraded this morning.  That's running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
I get the boundary boxes by clicking on the 'edit text and images' tool, and they appear.  Or don't in this case
I only need to change a few characters in the file.   However, even just opening up the file in AA and then saving, the "A = " "text" gets deleted.
Could it perhaps be something to do with embedded or missing maths fonts on my machine?  I mean, I don't get any warnings, just can't do anything with the A and AB italic bold text.
    Thanks!

  • Unable to open multiple PDF files in Acrobat 9 Pro - Vista

I have a staff member that is unable to open more than one PDF at a time.  If a PDF is currently open and another one is selected the program will crash and close.  It gives a message stating the program has crashed and must be closed and also gives an option to check online for a solution.  Has anyone else seen this issue or know a fix for it?  Thanks in advance.

No. Starting with Acrobat 9 it is no longer possible to open multiple PDF files in the same window.

  • RE-printing a PDF book With Acrobat 9

I have this strange problem. When I print a pdf book as a pdf again (reason I am doing this if because it will give me a page size that will go with the entire book, and as a result, it will be easier to crop the book.), the file size becomes WAY bigger than the original size of the PDF.
This is the basic process when I do the the printing to pdf:
Select ALL the pages in the book.
    Go To Print.
Under the Name List, select Adobe PDF.
    Click Properties.
On the Layout tab, Click Advanced. Under Paper Size, Select Postscript Custom Paper Size.
    Select the Unit (e.g. Millimeter).
Once done, go to the ADOBE PDF Setting tab, and then select Default Setting to Standard.
click all the OKs, until you are ready to print.
I have tried to to look for the answer on other forums, and googling, but no proper explanation or advice.
    Thanks

Tried that. That doesnt solve the problem. File is still as big as
hell. Acrobat 8 works like a charm for this process. I even made
screenshot for the 'small size' preset and compared it to Acrobat 9.
Seems the same, so not sure why does it make files bigger. Dont get
started with file optimization because this book im dealing with here
has bad images to any downsizing is going to mess it up. Booya:-@

  • Open multiple PDF's in Acrobat X Pro?

I have about 20 password protected PDF's that I would like to open in one instance of Acrobat X, instead of 20 different windows.  Is there a way to do this.
I've tried merging them, but they're secured with the FileOpen plugin, and even though I have my the username and password, it won't allow a merge.  Hoping to find a solution.  Thanks.

No. Starting with Acrobat 9 it is no longer possible to open multiple PDF files in the same window.

  • Editing a PDF file with Acrobat XI pro... some "text" is not selectable and vanishes upon saving

    Hi folks.
I've googled around for a few hours, but I'm completely stumped with this one.
I'm trying to edit a .pdf file that was generated from Word 2007.  Mostly it edits fine, but for reason some of what appears to be text isn't selectable with the text and image editor... in fact it doesn't even have a bounding box around it.  When I move around the document or save it in acrobat pro, the "text" then vanishes.
I include a dropbox link to a partial screenshot image which shows what I'm talking about.  You can see that the italic bold A doesn't have a box around it in some cases.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/42i8xms78lvw12b/Screenshot%202014-02-07%2011.19.07.png
Can anybody kindly shed some light on what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks!

  • Can't Make PDF's with Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows XP Pro

I just recently installed Acrobat 9 with the CS4 suite and can't make a PDF from either my scanner or MS Word. It says that my scanner can't do "Presets" and I don't see how I can change that. And Acrobat just tries for about ten minutes to make a PDF from a Word document and then says there's an error. I can't save to the Adobe PDF printer either.
I'm about ready to reinstall Acrobat 6 so I can make PDF's - this is crazy. Is there a way that I can get Acrobat 9 to at least accept my scanner? It's an older HP 4-in-1 machine.

Maybe you misunderstand. The standard output for the Adobe PDF printer it the PDF Port. That is indeed a print to a file (a PS file) and then Distiller is activated in the background to finish converting the file to a PDF. By print to file, I mean the print-to-file check box on the print screen. That will allow you to print to a PS file, though it may have an extension of PRN. You can then open that file in Distiller to complete the conversion. If that works, then your problem is likely that AcroTray is not running in the background.
AcroTray must be active for normal printer operation. When it fails you should still be able to print-to-file and then open the file in the Distiller to complete the process. That was my point and I am not sure that is what you have done. If it is, then I apologize for beating the point to death. The print-to-file is not the same as the PDF creation.

  • PDF initially freezes when opening with Acrobat 9 Pro and Acrobat Reader

    Hi-
Every time I open a pdf, either with Acrobat 9 Pro or Acrobat Reader, it freezes the application for about 10-15 seconds.  Afterwards, it's fine.
    Any suggestions?
Im running XP Pro, 3.25GB of RAM

Any chance you are also using Quickbooks?  I understand from Intuit that there is a known issue between  Quickbooks and Acrobat 9.  My computer does the same exact thing and I am running Quickbooks Pro 2009. Windows XP Pro 64-bit.  According to the forums on Intuit, the same problem does not exist with Acrobat 8.  So, you have to uninstall Acrobat 9 then in stall 8.  The problem is that the uninstall does not completely uninstall 9 so you can't install 8 successfully.  Apparently Adobe has an uninstaller that will remove ALL of Acrobat 9 but you have toi get it from tech Support - if you can find one that speaks English well enough to understand what the problem is and what you need. Then you need to find a copy of 8 to use.
The problem is not in opening Acrobat.  It opens just fine.  It doesn't lock up until you open a PDF file.

  • How to batch print multiple PDFs in Mac OS X?

Does anyone know of any new software that allows one to batch print multiple PDF files with a print dialogue for the first file, followed by dialogue-less printing for the rest?
I work for an architect's firm and we often find ourselves printing dozens of A1 PDFs, going through the print dialogue window for each file.
We used to be able to batch print when Preview.app could open multiple PDFs in one window; it lost this capability in a regression when it gained bookmarks and we've been living in batch print stone age ever since.
(A desktop printer doesn't work by the way)

    Lamont E wrote:
Open one of the PDFs in Preview then drag the rest of the files into the sidebar. Print the resulting file. If you don't want to save it as a single PDF just select 'Don't Save' when you exit.
Wow! I've been asking this question repeatedly for a couple of years now and you're the first person to mention this. Thanks a lot. There will be some happy campers in our office, I tell ya.
I missed it because all the large PDFs we create include a table of contents and you have to switch to thumbnail view before you can drag and drop additional PDFs.
With the type of files we produce It takes 30 seconds or so to add 8 files together, so it's not ideal but it's a lot faster and more convenient than Acrobat Pro or printing each file separately.
Another option is to open the printer window and drag all the files into it. They will print automatically with no dialog box.
This doesn't work because you can't choose the size of paper you want to print to.
Thanks again, your first post too.
