Provision by Default

Hello All.
Once I saw it was possible NOT to provision email, content, calendar and RTC by default for new OID users. I just cannot find now where it was.
Could someone give me an advice?
Thanks.

    Hi All,
I'm getting an "auto-provisioning" error in CUP when a "Change Account" workflow is approved. The strange thing is, CUP does successfully provision the change to the SAP backend. Yet, the "New Account" provisions successfully without the error.

    Hello Varun,
Thanks for the thought on this. We don't use User Defaults for Change Account, but do for New Account. You question prompted me to do more testing with very interesting results.
    Results
New Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
New Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error.
Change Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
Change Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, Auto-Provision ERROR, Defaults NOT provisioned.
In both New and Change Account, the configured User Defaults are NOT provisioned even though the user is provisioned. AC5.3 is on SP12, the RTA is VIRSANH SP12 and VIRSAHR SP10.
For the Change Account, the user is always provisioned regardless of User Defaults; however, when no User Default is configured, the Auto-Provisioning error occurs. The User Defaults NOT provisioning is a real problem, the CUP error message, I can work around for now.
What about on your side? Am I the only guy using SP12 here?

  • Default Payroll Area using Personnel Area

    Hi,
There is a feature called ABKRS i.e. 'Default value for payroll area'. I want to know if you can default the payroll area using personnel area / personnel sub-area because there is no field decision operation for personnel area/sub-area. Please guide me if there is any way out to it's solution.
    Thanks,
    Irfan Malik

    SIEMENS Engineering Co. Ltd. Pakistan

    Hi,
There is a provision to default the payroll area based on the Personnel area. If the PA / PSA decision parameters are not available at your end you can change the settings for ABKRS feature provided you have the rights to do the same.
In PE03 for feature ABKRS, select attributes and hit Change.
There you will see a Tab as "Struct" on the bottom left.
Click it. You will see various parameters EE, ESG, PA ,PSA, etc.
Only the ones that are selected will appear as decision parameters for the tree in ABKRS.
So if PA PSA are not selected, select them, save and then activate the feature.
    Hope this helps.

    Shreyasi.

  • Defaulting CO plan versions specific to cost plan method.

    Hi Experts
I wish to have dedicated CO plan versions as shown below:
    Z01: Overal planning
    Z02: Detailed planning
    Z03: Unit cost planning
    Z04: ECP
For ECP,  the CO plan version can be defauled. Similarly is there any provision to default the specific CO plan versions for the remaining cost plan methods?
This helps in preventing the selection of inappropriate version. And also provides clarity that the version it self indicates the cost plan method.
    Request experts to comment.
    warm regards

    Dear Prasad
Thanks for prompt response, Is there any impact if we create new version ? Is there any SAP suggested documentation

  • OIM Provision Users to diffrent OU's

I was trying to see how we could provsion users to diffrent OU's . As of now when I try to create users and they are being provisioned into default User container. I was trying to find out where exactly will it be pulling up the OU information from. (I belive it is from the adapter file.)So that I can change the same so that users will be populated to different OU's accordingly.

What user user637654 recommended is what is supported out of the box.
In many cases it simply isn't enough to meet the requirements. In that case you need to create a custom AD create user task. We have done this for a number of customers and the main problem is usually to find the transform between the information that you have available (information about the user from your trusted source) and the OU location in AD.
One option if you have requested based provisioning is to include the OU on the object form and let the requester pick the OU. Not always appropriate but can sometimes be a viable option.
    Hope this helps

  • Wiki page layout with multiple rows in SharePoint 2013 foundation?

than that. Can anybody help us in achieving this?

Thank you for your reply Inderjeet.<o:p></o:p>
Actual problem is with wiki page custom templates, we have created some custom templates and they work fine, please refer below link for implementation

  • Issue in Custom Blog site definition based on SharePoint 2010 blog site definition after migrating the sites to SharePoint 2013 and site collection upgrade

I have created a custom blog site definition using SharePoint 2010 blog site definition with Configuration ID 31 in onet.xml (new value). This was working fine for SharePoint 2010.
We created new SharePoint 2013 farm and deployed the all Custom solutions in
14/15 folders. After migrating the sites to SharePoint 2013 using Content DB approach, site created previously using my custom definition are working fine.
But after running site collection upgrade these sites stop working. When I post a comment then comments not getting listed on post detail page. However comments are getting added to Comments List but
PostTitle column  of Comment is not getting populated.
Also, when we create a new site in SharePoint 2013 using my custom blog template then that is also not getting provisioned.  default.aspx and look-up between post and comment list are not working.
If any one has faced such issue then please share your findings and any solution to fix this.
    Thanks in Advance :)

    Hi ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the blog based on custom blog site definition didn’t work correctly after migrating custom blog site definition to SharePoint 2013.
If you customized the Onet.xml file in a previous version's site definition, you should modify some sections in the file to work in the current version, like  <BaseTypes> and  <ListTemplate>  etc. More information, please refer
    to the link below:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/aa543837(v=office.14).aspx
For that the PostTitle column  of Comment is not getting populated, please try to modify the view, then compare the result.
    I hope this helps.

  • ISE 1.3 certificate issue

    Hi experts,
I have tried to replicate an issue that my customer is having:
issue: when running client provisioning on default port 8905, the portal certificate shows that it's using the certificate created for the Admin. However, when visiting guest portal or running onboarding process (using port 8443 which is the default one), the certificate is presented with the correct one (the one used for the portal).
Here is what I have setup in my lab:
    1. in ISE 1.3, installed two certificate: one for admin and the other for portal access:
    2. when accessing the admin page and the client portal, I can see that it's using the correct certificate. ( the OU=ESC one is the admin certificate and the OU=MS one is the portal certificate)
However, when accessing the test client provisioning portal on 8905, the certificate shows it's using the admin one:
In the adminstration->device portal mgmt->client provisioning portal, the port is used as default 8443. It makes more sense it uses the client provisioning certificate rather than the admin certificate when the portal is redirected on to port 8905.
Is the issue an as-designed feature or is there additional configuration needs to be implemented?

    Hello Neno,
    Thanks for the reply!
Let me clarify: when I access the client provisioning portal on default 8443 which URL is generated by the ISE, I can see the correct certificate (OU=MS) is presented. But when I manually change the port from 8443 to 8905 in the same URL and access, ISE brings me to the same portal page, but this time the incorrect certificate is presented (OU=ESC which I generated for the admin portal).
So it seems that ISE presents a wrong certificate (the one for admin) when user is redirected to the provisioning portal on a port other than port 8443. I believe ISE should present the portal certificate usage in this case. I am not sure if this is an as-designed feature, or some additional configuration should be done.
Let me know if you still have questions with this.
    Many thanks,

  • Pay roll area

    Hi Guru,
I am a new student of SAP, can any body help me for creating payroll area and using it.
    Regards,
    Waqas

    Hi,
payroll Area : It groups together personnel numbers that are to be processed on the same date.It determines the exact payroll period. It can be Company /Personnel Area/Sub Area /Business Nature basis and accordingly you should default it in PE03> ABKRS feature in reture value And subnode is used in feature to create path, hirerchy ( to provide path to the system )
    How to Create:
There is a provision to default the payroll area based on the Personnel area. If the PA / PSA decision parameters are not available you can change the settings for ABKRS ('Default value for payroll area')feature provided
In PE03 for feature ABKRS, select attributes and hit Change.>Tab as "Struct" on the bottom left.->Click it. You will see various parameters EE, ESG, PA ,PSA, etc.->Only the ones that are selected will appear as decision parameters for the tree in ABKRS.>So if PA PSA are not selected, select them, save and then activate the feature.

  • AD Group Membership revoked on adding new group through role and acespolicy

    Hi all,
when a user is created in OIM, it is provisioned with Default Role say CONTRACTS which will provision AD Account and a default AD group membership.
when I assign a new role membership say BILLING, to assign additional AD group memberships through access policies, it is removing the default AD group membership from the user. But still the user is having both the roles CONTRACTS and BILLING.
The ootb AD task, remove user from group is triggered.
The problem is happening only in Testing environment.
In development envi it is working fine.
it is not removing the default group memberships.
any ideas? thoughts? which I need to check.
my oim server is 11.1.1.3.0, with weblogic setup.
Edited by: Venu on Dec 2, 2011 1:06 PM

    Do one thing:
    Take New User
    Assign First BILLING
    Assign Second Group
    And then ASSIGN CONTRACT
    Update the results.
It is happening in one env so you might have done some configuration or it could be env issue as well.

  • Unable to goods Issue

    Hello Gurus,
I have created Production oder but I am unable to post goods issue because of an error. The error says the current period is not maintained in the material master. The system suggests to do this in the shift periods in material master. But I am not able to find this setting in the material master in SPRO.Because of this error I am not able to move forward.
Also when I am creating the material master, the system is giving the type of currency by default (for example:EURO). Is there any setting in the material master which gives you the type of currency by default.
I hope you undersatnd my question...
    Thanks...

    Hi KV,
    Reg Currency setting :
When creating the Material Master the system will the pick the currency from the Company code.
System will maintain the Material Master Currency based on the company code currency.
There is no standard SAP provision for default the currency type.

  • Costs in E-Recruiting

    Hi All,
I do not know if e-recruiting has some integration standard with costs (FI), because the business needs to manage the costs of the selection process has with external entities, does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks,
    Dyana

    Hi,
    SAP does not provide ready integration points between E-Rec and FI.  Hence you can try the following options;
    1. Capture the Selection Cost while creating a requisition or Job Posting or while performing selection activities.
    2. SAP provides for provision to default Cost Centre based on the position assigned to the requisition.  Tag the expenses of the requisition (captured during selection process) to this Cost Centre.
    3. Design a Report to give an analysis of expenses.
Point Nos 1 and 3 are part of custom development, though,
    Hope this helps,
