Pruning on subpartition not occurs

Hello
I have a little problem of performance on a query that seems for me simple
SELECT /*+ no_parallel (dwh_ind_ca_marge) use_nl(dwh_ind_ca_marge) */
FROM dwh_ind_ca_marge, dwh_ag ag, dwh_ag com
WHERE com.pk_id_ag = ag.id_ag_com
AND fk_id_ag = ag.pk_id_ag
AND com.cd_ag = 121
AND id_an_mois = 200910
Dwh_ind_ca_marge is a subpartition table (range / hash) :
the range is on the month (200101 200102 .....)
the hash is on fk_id_ag : the id of an agency (128 subpartitions)
dwh_ag is the table of agency with primary key pk_id_ag
In fact I dont understand why subquery pruning on fk_id_ag doesn t occur
The problem is workarounded by forcing the nested loop between dwh_ag andf dwh_ind_ca_marge
What is surprising is that on the 10053 trace the nested loop has a lower cost that the plan choosen !!!!
What s the problem ?

I created search page by dragging this view object from MyApplicationModule->NamedCriteria
but i don't want to show all the fields that their names start with ROLE in my search option so I unChecked the attribute queryalbe
no when I press button search the error Attempt to set a parameter name that does not occur in the SQL: vc_temp_1 is shown
if i press OK on error message and click search again it works
how can I make this error disappear

I am getting a "Prop Res DLL not loaded" message when trying to print from a website only while using Firefox, same does not occur using IE. Any suggestions

An attempt to change the "Properties" options prior to printing on my Lexmark X5150 causes the message. Same does not occur if I do the same under Internet Explorer.

I have tried creating the profile again and still get the same problem. The problem is machine based and not user based.

If you recreated the Outlook profile and still got the same problem, please try to recreate the Windows Profile:
Log on to client using local admin account->rename the profile folder under c:\users.
By the way, did you try to print the mails in OWA?

OSB JMS Proxy XA Transaction Rollback not occuring to queue

Hi All
We are dequeuing a message from JMS queue via an XA connection factory and then calling a web service. If any error occurs in the web service we catch the error handler, log and notify it and want to send this message back to the queue for retrial (The retry settings are defined at the Queue Level from weblogic console).
Problem is rollback is not occurring, we have tried the below:
1) There is no OSB reply with either success or failure in the error handler (This should have done the trick)
2) We have also tried addiing an explicit Raise Error (Uncaught Error) to roll the message back, but its not working.
This rollback is not occurring because JMS Resource is XA and web service call is NON XA, hence the entire message flow becomes NON XA. Is this understanding correct?
How can we fix this? Please help

1) Well, i just ticked transaction required and same transaction for response and it started working. I did not add routing options like you mentioned to QOS Exactly Once. Its working without it fine. So, my questions is what is the use of adding this QOS to exactly once. Is it mandatory?
2) I have a couple of OSB services in which rollback is working automatically (XA JMS to JCA FTP Adapter) and (XA JMS to JCA DB adapter XA data source), here rollback works automatically. I dont have to tick transaction required. So my question is, when an XA based connection factory picks a message from the queue, a transaction is started at the container level. So why tick transaction required at the message flow level, when the weblogic has already initiated a transaction. Since you said that HTTP transport commits a transaction even if 500 or 404 occurs, it makes sense to tick is transaction required and same transaction for response in OSB proxy service. But the remaining scenarios work without these options. Hence will it be wise to say that these settings are only required for HTTP transport coz of the way it behaves (commits 404 and 500).

Multi row update not occuring

I have created a tabular form using the wizard. This form will show three columns (and in addition a checkbox). I would like this form to be updateable in only certain instances. Because of that, I select the columns twice. I make one of them updateable, and the other read-only. Then I have a conditional display for the columns, so that the updateable columns are shown if a status variable in my page is 'EDIT' and the read-only columns are shown otherwise.
The problem is that the multi row update does not occur. If I show one of the read-only columns when in the edit mode, the update is done. Also it is executed if I show one of the editable fields when the page is not in edit mode. But when I show only the editable fields in edit mode, and only the read-only fields when in read-only mode, the process is not run.
What can I do about this? Why doesn't the multi row update occur?

An alternative is to control the updates by controlling the buttons. Only show the submit/update button if the status on the page is "EDIT".

I have a 17" Macbook pro with flickering red and cyan(blue) lines across the screen. The issue disappears temporarily when I tap on the computer, and the problem does not occur when I use external display or try to screen capture the problem.

I purchased my Macbook (17") through a certified apple tecnition in August 2012, it was refurbished and the motherboard was completely replaced. I do a lot of photo editing, but I have been unable to do so because of the red vibrating lines that interrupt my screen. I brought the computer back to the technition I purchased it from and he said that it was a problem with my fan, so I have two new fans but the issue is still occuring. He says he doesnt know whats wrong. Does anyone have any information on this issue?

I recommend having your Mac serviced by someone competent. A force sufficient to "blow apart" the fans was clearly excessive and may have damaged the display cable, as well as any number of other problems.
Dust is properly cleaned with a vacuum, preferably one designed for computer service, and they are not cheap.
Compressed air should never be used. It just blows dust everywhere, often into places where it can no longer be removed.

Random images are not loading in Firefox 3.6. Probem does not occur with IE.

When using Firefox in any site with images (eg Google Images or eBay etc) a small random number of images fail to load, and some of those which load do so after an unusual delay. This problem began post FF3.6 upgrade, and does not occur in IE.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Why validation does not occur if record status is NEW?

Hello! I have a control block MAIN with PORT item in it, which has Required property set. But when I enter that block and pass through this PORT item, it allows me to leave that item blank (and validation does not occur too), which is not what I need.
However, if I change some other item's value (and record status becomes INSERT), validation works as expected. So, I have one workaround for my problem, but this solution is not good.
How can it be fixed? Thanks in advance.

It looks like the documentation is lacking in this situation. But the documentation has always been less than complete.
On-line help also states:
    Note: if the validation is as a result of a
    call to the VALIDATE trigger and the
    record's internal status is New, the process
    stops.So it does mention records with status=New, but it does not give you the complete story.
Dave's explanation is correct, and his solution of setting the field in a when-new-record-instance trigger is as good as it gets.

This is the most common error on Mountain Lion.. at least 5 and up to 10 times a day.. I wish we had a proper method of referencing these errors.

Why does the Error: 500 SC_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR appear when multiple users access my JSPs but does not occur when only one user accesses my JSPs?

When multiple users run my JSP application, why do some users get an Error: 500 SC_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR for certain JSP pages with the error message No such file or directory. The JSP listed on the Error 500 page varies and is not always the same. When only one user runs my JSP application, the problem does not occur?
The database connection is held when the user logs in or accesses certain parts of the JSP and then is immediately released. No connections to the database are held.
We are using Solaris 8 with MU_6 plus recommended patches.

It sounds like you might having some kind of thread safety issue with your code. Either that or your guess about running out of database connections.

Same here on an older iMac since Lion. Thanks for the uncheck wake for network access tip though, it doesn't do it either in that case, I will leave it that way.

Intermittent noisy line, if fault does not occur w...

About 40% of outgoing calls have crackle or hiss on our line the rest are fine. Incoming calls are not affected. I have tried 3 different phones plugged directly into the master socket (I have BT infinity so I have a 3-piece master socket, I've removed the first (front) part (connecting internal extension wiring) but not the second (inner) part connecting the Infinity VDSL service). I've reported the fault to BT who state their line test reports line OK and confirm they think I have done all I can to prove it's not a fault with my equipment. They suggest they send an engineer but they warn me that if the fault does not occur while the engineer is present they will charge me. Where do I go from here?
Background: As far as I can remember this fault has been occurring since Infinity was installed (certainly not before) and when the engineer (a Kelly Communications guy) left after checking broadband OK I found I had no phone service. Luckily he was still in his van outside. He went back to the street cabinet and called me from there and apologised for making an error in the connection.

It isn't supposed to pair with the MacBook. You can use WiFi to connect but not Bluetooth. You can setup a personal HotSpot on the iPhone and connect the MacBook, or setup the MacBook AirPort to create a network and attach the iPhone, and use the USB cable to connect the iPhone to the MacBook for syncing and backup purposes.
The communications are rather limited.
