Question related to Purchase order

Hi,
If PO is created for 100 qty and vendor confirms for only 80 quantity. But plant needs full 100 quantity and they cannot wait for 2nd delivery for remaining 20 quantity. How to handle this situation, meaning what is the best alternative solution?

Nani,
????  This is not an SAP question, this is a business question.  SAP software does not have any magical way to force this vendor to confirm and deliver the additional 20pc at a time when you actually need it.
One possible business process to address this business problem would be to get on the telephone and call the vendor and plead your case.  Another possible business process would be to cancel the outstanding 20 pcs in the original PO, and then purchase the 20 pcs from another vendor.

    I like to know few more things.
    1) Is it possible to create our own Field Selection Key?
    2) If you observe the list of Field Selection Keys related to Purchase Order Screen, you can see that there are Field Selection Keys by name ME21N, ME21, AKTH, etc.
    If the Field Selection Keys are predefined by SAP, it is OK. But, if there is an option to create our own Field Selection Key, then what is the procedure to do the same?
    It seems that ME21N, ME21, and AKTH are used for Create Purchase Order Screen.
    There are also keys ME22N and ME23N used for Change Purchase Order Screen and Display Order Screen.
    I am little bit confused about this.
    We are linking the Field Selection Keys to the Document Types.
    But, I think it is only for create Purchase Order Screen. Please correct, if I am wrong.
    Also, I like to know how we are linking the Field Selection Keys related to Change Purchase Order Screen and Display Purchase Order Screen?
    Please clarify all my doubts by giving proper suggestions.

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a Func Module as following.
    Input : Purchase Order Number, Material Number and Item Number. (Either Item Number or Material Number shall be entered. Output a message if both are blank).
    Out put : PO Number, Line item Number, Status of the PO, Material Number / Equipment Number, Work Order Number, Work Center and Cost Center, Person responsible from Work Center.
    Is there any link between EKKO, EKPO and AUFK, AFPO?
    Can you please help me. or suggest if there is any other way I can do this.

  • Question regarding  Blanket Purchase Order by Category functionality

    I have a requirement that Strategic buyers will fill agreement with supplier by item Category level
    Agreement will be on Price level and will have expiration date
    The category level will contain list of items Part numbers which are the same item from technically :
    Our business is on the electronics contract manufacturing and we are producing for Customers from the High Tech industry .In order to keep each customer process and unique environment we are coding the item Part # per customer since of that the same electronic component having different part # per customer
    Each night we running MRP run (ASCP) and the Planner release Planned order to request ion
    Is there a way to support this process as the following :
    1 create sourcing rule by category set and assigned the relevant items to the category set
    2 Create Blanket Po by Category level with expiration date and Price
    When releasing Planned order from ASCP (Mrp) it is Creating requisition on item level
    Will it Auto release the Pr to Po based on the Blanket by Category level and derived the Price?
    The requirement is that the purchase requisition will derive the price from the agreement based on assigned Category level and will automatically convert to Purchase order

    Sourcing Rules are not created at Item or Category Level.
    What you can do is
    1. create a Sourcing Rule and Assign it to Category-Organization Level.
    2. Create a BPA for the category
    3. Create an ASL (Approved Supplier List) and give the BPA Reference in that.
    Try doing this..this should help to some extent.

    You can't directly translate a repeating node or element (such as an Item or a Project Task from the Accounting Coding Block of an Item) to a singular node or element.
    The reason is that, though your use case may have the elements assumed to be the same for all items, this isn't necessarily the case, so ByDesign won't assume that you can use that kind of logic.
    The simplest approach would be to do an On-Save at the Root node of the Purchase Order along the following lines:
    this.projecttaskpo = this.Item.GetLast().ItemAccountingCodingBlockDistribution.AccountingCodingBlockAssignment.ProjectTaskKey.TaskID;
    i wouldn't actually recommend this code.
    You'd need validations for IsInitial, IsSet, and those kinds of functions.
    i'd at least use some foreach loop to check that all the accounting coding blocks were for the same task, raise warnings if they weren't, etc.

  • Print Preview issue related to Purchase Order

    I am working on purchase order printout. For the creation of P.O. I have worked on printout ad its working fine. As comes to change purchase order, client is using same output type and if they take the printout its coming as
    Amendment to P.O. (In case creation of new purchase order printout Its coming as Purchase order only.) And in the change purchase order printout, its showing the items changed(But in print preview i am able to see the the new created purchase order only....not the changed purchase order print preview)..
    How can I see the change purchase order print preview?..so that I can make the changes as per the client requirement.

    This is possible provided you have mantained Individual Capacity Defination in the Capacity header of the work center. Since yours is Labour you need to assign the person to the Individual capacity details for Machine you can define your own naming. With this you should be able to confirm every product with referance to the Individual Machine.
    Since you are using Serial Numbers, I assume that GR you are doing using transaction MB31 or MIGO, where you can assign the Serial Number to the material.

    I want to create Purchase Order with respect to Purchase requistion only,
    If PR is not exist in the system than Purchase order could not be make.
    any configuration is available in system?

    Step 1
    Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Authorization Management > Define Function Authorizations for Buyers > Function Authorizations: Purchase Order (T. Code "OMET")
    Here "New Entries", Create a code (For e.g. 01) and give description
    Here In 2nd Subscreen "Possible Ref. objects"
    Select "Ref. to purchase requisition" and Do not select "W/o reference'
    Also seelct the required field which U want.
    And Save it.
    Step 2
    Now Go to SU01 > here put User ID and go to "Parameters" tab page and Enter Parameter ID "EFB" and assign value as "01" (Created in step 1) and save.
    Now try to create PO, it will not allow to create PO directly for that user, similar way U have to maintain this parameter ID for all the users.

  • CIF User Exit for Purchase Order CIFPUR01

    Hi All,
    I had couple of questions related to the way CIF user Exit CIFPUR01 is called whenever there is a change in txn data related to Purchase Orders on R/3 side.
    I could see that the User Exit is called only when I completely deactivate the Integration Model using CFM3, and then reactivate the same using CFM3. If I generate a new model using CFM1 and then activate the newest version using CFM3 (without deactivating the earlier version), the system doesn't call the User Exit and this is an issue because the custom code for some calculation logic that we have defined is never called !
    Additionally, whenever the change in Purchase Order is done (say to the Quantity, Delivery date etc.), the User Exit is not called when change is done via ME22N and given that Integration Model is active.
    Is this the correct behavior?
    Any thoughts on the above behavior would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for your suggestion.
    I had already tried that by putting the break points in the include of the User Exit and the control of the program didn't enter the User Exit code when I generated and activated new version of the Integration model (CFM1 followed by CFM3).
    The control enters the User Exit code only when I completely deactivate the existing Integration model and then reactivate.
    Below are the scenarios which explain my point.
    Scenario 1:
    1. Completely deactivate the existing Integration model using CFM3.
    2. Put the break point on the user exit code.
    3. Generate the new version of Integration model through CFM1.
    4. Activate the new version through CFM3.  In this case, the control goes to the user exit code and does the calculation specified by us. This is correct and works as expected.
    Scenario 2:
    1. The Integration model is already activated and I put the break points in the User exit code.
    2. I regenerate the new version of Integration model via CFM1.
    3. I activate the new version through CFM3. In this case, the control DOES NOT go to the User exit code. This is not the expected behavior.
    Scenario 3:
    1. The Integration model is already activated and I put the break points in the User exit code.
    2. I change the PO qty for existing Purchase order.
    3. The change is immediately transferred to APO as expected. The control doesn't get transferred to user exit code. Thus the custom calculation in the INCLUDE of the user exit is not done and hence custom qty is not updated in APO.
    Please let me know if you would need more clarifications.

  • Contracts and Purchase Order system messages

    Hi All,
    I have a couple of questions relating to system messages that are related to purchase orders created with reference to contracts.
    1. When should message 06 155 called? If I create a purchase order with reference to a Value Contract (WK) where the total purchase order value is equal to the Contract Target Value I would expect the message to be called as either a warning or error depending on the system settings (it is currently set as a warning). However in my system the message is not generated.
    I can get the message to generate if I put the PO on hold, then change the value of the PO above the contract target value and then set it back to equal the contract target value but this hardly seems the correct way the message should be called.
    2. Is there a standard way to restrict which purchase order document types can be created with reference to a contract?

    thanks for the response. I know that the message should be called if the total PO value is equal to the Target Value of the contract, however in my system this doesn't happen.
    Example
    Contract has Target Value of £1,000,000 (Target Qty is 0 and Price is £1)
    Field ktwrt = £1,000,000
    PO created with qty 1,000,000 and price £1 (i.e. value = £1,000,000) but the message is not generated. If I change the qty to be 1,000,001 then message 06 042 is correctly generated.
    Is the message 06 155 generated correctly in your system? or I am missing someconditions that don't match between my PO and contract?

  • Is there anyway to view the purchase order information foreach transaction

    Currently the FAGLB03 does not display the vendor related information for transactions coming through as a goods receipts (transactions processed by receiving dept) and/or related to purchase orders. Is there anyway to view the purchase order information for each transaction? For example, we cannot see vendor code/name, po #, etc.

    FAGLL03 displays information from the line items of the accounting documents. If the information you want to display exists in tables you can display. But if the information you want comes from other tables you cannot display.
    As a workaround you can check the SAP note 1034354 which tells you how to add the offsetting accounting information and then you cna display some of the information you want. To do so you can create your own coding into a BADI implementation.

  • Open order quantity for "PurRqs" and Purchase Order"

    In one of my report I have to display the "Open Quantity" for 'PurRqs' I am using logic as follows:
    Input the "Pur Req" and  its "Item Number" in table EBAN in the fields EBAN- BANFN and EBAN- BNFPO and fetch the value of fields EBAN- MENGE and EBAN- BSMNG. Do the subtraction EBAN- MENGE minus EBAN- BSMNG and consider the value after subtraction as open quantity.
    But in display 'Purchase' order in the tab "Quantities/Dates, there is field with "Open Quantity", my question is if this "Open Quantity" update in any table-fields? or is ther any 'Functional Module" to get this 'open quantity' directly? so that I can avoid the logic of subtraction.
    Same question is for "Purchase Order", is ther any table-field or 'functional moduel' where I can get open PO quantity insteed of using tanle EKET and fields MENGE/WEMNG

  • Excise duty condition type and Purchase Order Print Issue

    We have a issue related to Purchase order print out.
    We are maintaining TAXINN.
    We have implemented CIN and we are maintaining Excise Conditions i.e. Basic Excise in JMOP
    In FV11 we are maintaining values for JMOP with plant and material Group combination.
    In Purchase Order Tax calculation is happening correctly.
    But issue is to find the value of taxes for Purchase Order Print.
    We are using function module CALCULATE_TAX_FROM_NET_AMOUNT
    and passing values of Company Code, Country, Currency, and Base amount to get the entries in condition types.
    But we are not getting any entry even after passing the values.
    How we can get these values in JMOP.

    Why do you want to calculate the taxes during the PO Print when you are getting correct values in PO itself?
    Modify your print program with pulling values directly from EKPO/ EKKO Tables and display it to Spool.

    SPRO = Material Management = Purchasing = Purchase order - Setup stcok stransfer order - Assig delivery type to checking rule
    we have assign the E = Display the delivery proposal with dailog box under feild " Rules adoption for ATP check "
    it means that when you create the Purchase order with Qty then system will propose an new screen with delivery proposal.
    we need to select one which would like.
    once you select it system will display to schedule line items for line item in Purchase order.
    first schedule line item delivery date will be calcualted based on the Planned delivery time
    second delivery date will be calculated based on the Route determiantion ( Note this functionaity will be avialble in Ecc 6 and may be in 4.7ee also )
    so now issue is when we see MD04 system is showing first schedule line delivery date in MD04, it was suppose to show the second scheduline delivery , but it is not happening .
    why ?  is it STD behaviour ?

    Hello,
    We are also experiencing this issue in ECC 6.0 with the first schedule line showing as the delivery date in the receiving plant in MD04.  In our case, we have sales orders that are placed on the distribution centers, and that triggers an STO to be generated for shipment from the Source plant to the DC to fulfill the Sales order demand.
    We have also noticed that in CO09 for the receiving plant, the committed dates are not displayed, so ATP is incorrectly calculated at the distribution center when rescheduling changes the committed dates in the STO due to a change in material availability.
    Has anyone been able to find any solutions or additional findings to workaround this issue?  I see that SAP development will be taking a look at this but that was last updated in May of 2011.  I have not been able to find any other additional information on OSS that addresses this issue.
