Sorting Projects by Project Number
Hi All,
I have requirement from our clients to have the dropdown for project list (In the journal entry document) be sorted by project number instead of project name.
I ran a profiler and against the B1 database and the query for the dropdown is :-
SELECT T0.[PrjCode], T0.[PrjName] FROM [dbo].[OPRJ] T0 ORDER BY T0.[PrjName] FOR BROWSE
Would there be any place I could change the order by clause.
Regards,
Divam
Hi,
If I have understood your question correctly, you want the list of Project coming as per the Project Code as they are added in the drop down. The same as it appears in the Project Code - setup window.
You can check the following workaround in the COPY of the database and check whether the same is of any help in your issue :
Goto the Projects - Setup window and change the Project Name. The change could be the Project number followed by underscore.
example : 01_Project Name.
Check if it helps.
Kind Regards,
Jitin

Creation of project, Project ID any number ranges are there?
Hi Saran,
Project ID have Project Code and Description
you can use Project ID which is a unique identifier for every project as a reference example shown.
here ZCHARM is the Project ID ...you can also use numbers if required.
There is no no. range concept for Projects
Hope this clarifies
Thanks

How do I sort searches by project?
I am evaluating Aperture at its new lower price and really like it apart from one thing. When I do a search in iPhoto, or create a smart album, I have the option of displaying the results organised by event. This is great as I can, for example, search for San Francisco and get the results split by the trip I took them in. Nice.
As far as I can see, this is not possible in Aperture. A search of photos or a smart album just gives me a load of photos. I can set metadata to show the project name for each photo but that isn't the same. You have to look closely where one project starts and the next ends. The closest I can get is to search in projects and sort by folder. Now assuming that all my project are in folders (which they aren't and don't otherwise need to be) I get a nice view of projects (events in iPhoto speak) sorted by folder. However, this gives a preview of each project not each picture. In iPhoto I get the actual pictures in the events.
I'm amazed that I can't find a way to do this. Surely, when doing a search, its likely that the person is going to want to easily see where/when they took the shots.
Although Aperture has some great advanced organisational capabilities, it doesn't seem so advanced at the basics.
Does anyone know a clever way to do what I need?Hi Andy. Welcome to the user-to-user forum.
Afaik, this is not possible with Aperture. I agree that it would be useful, and seems to a missing feature. Projects view appears to me to be added on to the side of Aperture, and not yet fully integrated with it. The collapsible Events in iPhoto would be a most welcome feature in Aperture (for Projects).
The lack of full integration of Projects -- with expanded metadata for Projects, a fully expandable/collapsable hierarchical Projects view, and the ability to show Projects view in one browser and images in another -- is one of my top criticisms of the current version of Aperture.
You can make feature requests to Apple via the Aperture menu. Select "Feedback".
While in Projects view you can skim Projects to see individual images.
You might be able to get a good bit of what you want by rigorous use of a Project-naming convention. (The search field in Projects view searches the Project name and description, and is different from the search field in Image view. +I think+ the search field in Projects view is the same as the search field at the top of the Library Inspector.)
You can also use the Project description field for tagging Projects. "{Shift}+i" brings up the Project description HUD.
You can go from a Project search to images. Double-clicking the Project in Project view search results is similar to clicking the disclosure triangle in iPhoto's search results view.
You can go from an image search to a Project. Right-click an image and select "Show in Project". When you return to the container you searched, your search is still applied. (There is no automatic way to go back.)
These last two deliver much of the functionality of the integrated iPhoto view you miss. In practice, it is useful -- but never elegant. -
Hi,
Recently we have upgraded from Project Server 2007 to 2010 SP-2 (BCM enabled) environment and from last few days we are getting issue with Project Plans where PMs are not able to update Projects means save and publish the Project using MS Project 2010/2007.
Whenever PMs try to open project using MS Project 2010 SP-2, it gets load successfully but when they hit save and publish no jobs are getting fired up nothing is happening. Only way to get out from MS Project 2010 window is to close the Project window and
and click discard changes. No error and exception windows are popping out in MS Project 2010, no error/problem/issue clue at all from MS Project 2010.
But when I try to update this Project plan for very first time using MS Project 2007 Sp-2 then I am getting below error
for any subsequent save and publish using MS Project 2007-SP2 getting below error
As an alternative I have tried to open this Project Plan using web and there it is getting opened saved and published successfully from PWA absolutely no issue.
Also I have saved this Project locally as XML and saved and published it on Server successfully. But after someday again this project got corrupt PMs started getting same problem again
I have also looked at ULS logs but not getting anything useful there.
So any guesses why this could happen that can give me pointers to find actual root cause, please let me know.
Thanks much !!!
Sachin Vashishth MCTSUsed below steps to fix the Projects on MSP 2010.
1) Open corrupted project in MS Project connected to PS 2010 Prod env.
2) Goto > Resource > Add Resource > Build Team From Enterprise
3) Check is there any local resource who has not replaced with corresponding enterprise resource. If yes then replace all those local resources with enterprise resource. If not then move to next step.
4) Open resource sheet view and sort or filter by local resources.
5) Then add few columns in resource sheet view like "Windows User Account, Email Address , Base Calendar etc".
6) Now check has any local resource having enterprise attribute assigned to it, if yes then delete or assign local value as appropriate.
7) Then GoTo > File > Save & Send > Save as project file > Save for sharing (at local location)
8) Close project plan window and click "Yes" to save changes.
9) Restart MS Project 2010 and open your project from local location.
10) Then Goto > File > Save & Send > "Publish to Project Server". This will open "Import Project Wizard" to validate Resources and Task in Project.
11) Then in Import Project Wizard window at left hand side click "Map Resource" to validate project resources.
12) This will "Map Project Resource to Enterprise Resource " check all the resources highlighted with "Red" font and map "Standard" calendar to local resources.
Note: Don't worry about local resource assigned "Standard calendar" but still highlighted "Red".
13) Then click "OK" and click on "Continue to step 2" at bottom of "Import Project Wizard".
14) Make sure you get number of errors 0 in step 2, else click on validate resource and take proper corrective action as explained in step 6.
15) If you leave at least one resource as a local resource (unmapped to an enterprise resource), you will see the local resource in the Import Resource grid on the right side
of the Confirm Resources page.
Examine the value in the "Import" column (if not able to see this column then insert this as new column) for the local resource .
The default value is "Yes", then change the value in the "Import" column
to "No", else system will import the local resource as an enterprise
resource.
16) Then "Continue to step 3, 4 and 5".
17) Then at Step 5 , Save project to Project Server by clicking "Save as" link.
18) Then publish the project to update the plan at PWA 2010.

Speedgrade crashing when I try to open a project! Projects won't Direct Link from Premiere either - the menu option is greyed out and I cannot select it. I've installed and uninstalled Speedgrade, all all my Creative Cloud software is up to date.

Wrong project opens when double clicking on a project in project view
This is really weird. I have a personal library that was created by importing my entire iPhoto library and a Pro library that was created by just importing groups of images and folders from one of my drives. Both libraries are 100% managed. When Aperture opens, and my Personal library was the library that was open when I last closed Aperture, this behavior occurs. I go to double click on a project in project view and some other project opens. It's not random either. If I click on the project "Kennesaw Hike" for example, then "Jeremy's Birthday" will open every time.
Now the strange thing is when I go to File, Switch To Library, and choose my Pro Library and then switch right back to my Personal library, the projects in the project view open correctly. Something else that might be related. A few times in the last week when the Personal library was the open library when Aperture was closed last, and then I open Aperture later, it would prompt for my serial number again.
Another tidbit that might be of interest. I recently replaced the drive both libraries were on and copied them both to a new larger drive.
Any ideas?
ThanksI'd like to add a "me too" to this.

Dear Sirs,
I need your support over the following MS EPM 2013 issue:
Publication of the big-sized Enterprise projects from Project Professional 2013 to Project Server 2013 takes about 30+ minutes. We
need to reduce this total publication time down to acceptable working values 10+- minutes.
Environment information:
Single App Server (Virtual): 16 Gb RAM, x64 4xCPU, HDD > 50 GB free disk space, OS Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition x64 Service
Pack 1, MS SharePoint Server 2013 and MS Project Server 2013 with CU December 2013 (KB 2850024) applied.
Single RDBMS MS SQL Server (Virtual): 8 Gb RAM, x64 4xCPU, HDD > 200 GB free space, OS Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition x64 Service
Pack 1, MS SQL Server 2012 x64 SP 1 Enterprise Edition.
We have 1Gbit LAN between APP, DB server and 1Gbit LAN between APP and Proj Prof Client.
Yes, we are on the way of migrating to the Prod environment
with 3-tiered architecture (with SP1 slipstream and CU December 2014 applied), but this issue also
presents there.
Project’s file information:
Tasks in the file: [~4900], resources in the file [~396] enterprise task’s custom fields used in the file [~23].
Project save procedure for this new project would last about 7 minutes. Project publication would last about 47 minutes. We noticed that
tasks synchronization process took about 1 second for each ~2,5 tasks, to add them to the sharepoint tasks list. So for all 5148 tasks it took about 5148/3/60 = 34 minutes. Other 13 min was used for reporting database publication and other tasks relevant
for new sharepoint site creation.
Case 1: Issue description:
During the Enterprise project’s file save and publication we have the following sharepoint 2013 log messages:
07.31.2014 12:43:17.22 Microsoft.Office.Project.Server (0x0358) 0x3D5C SharePoint Foundation Monitoring b4ly High Leaving Monitored Scope
(Persisting list changes). performing time =376.068676326181 22dca99c-4696-70f1-e9e2-06851d0bcffd
07.31.2014 12:43:17.69 Microsoft.Office.Project.Server (0x0358) 0x3D5C SharePoint Foundation Monitoring b4ly High Leaving Monitored Scope
(Persisting list changes). performing time =361.652807828928 22dca99c-4696-70f1-e9e2-06851d0bcffd
It shows that sharepoint spend at least ~350 milliseconds (or 0,35 sec*4900 tasks = 1715 sec, or 28,5 min) for each task update during
project publication. And we also have another log file that shows that about 0,7 sec (or 0,7 sec*4900 tasks = 3430 sec, or 57 min) sharepoint spend for save each task in project file to project server. So total save and publication time more then 60+ minutes
for that project file. The same result we have even if user didn’t do any changes at the project file.
We use only enterprise projects (dbo.MSP_EpmProject_UserView.projectvisibilitymode = «False»), and do not use sharepoint tasks lists,
but the synchronization between MSP Plan and SharePoint tasks list works at any case.
Case 2: Issue description:
- For the second test we created a new project with new sharepoint project’s site on basis of our «issue» project, with total amount
of tasks in it of 5148 (yes, we increased the tasks list default limit at the sharepoint site up to 6000 items in it – standard limits for sharepoint view list – 5000 items).
- Project save procedure for this new project would last about 7 minutes. Project publication would last about 47 minutes. We noticed
that tasks synchronization process took about 1 second for each ~2,5 tasks, to add them to the sharepoint tasks list. So for all 5148 tasks it took about 5148/3/60 = 34 minutes. Other 13 min was used for reporting database publication and other tasks
relevant for new sharepoint site creation.
-Then we deleted the
tasks list for that new test project from the sharepoint site and republish the project plan one more time. This time project save procedure took about 7 minutes, project publication about 2 minutes and 3 minutes for other relevant queue jobs. So total time
is 12 minutes.
As a conclusion: yes, we have determined
the exact problem - during synchronization process (from Project Server to SharePoint) it perform copying all tasks and related data from Project to SharePoint in spite of fact that you changed only ONE task or ALL of them. At any case, synchronization will
copy ALL of them from Project Server to SharePOint task’s list.
Our workaround is to disable the task’s synchronization for such big-sized project plans:
– to delete the SharePoint «tasks» list at the SharePoint site tied with project plan.
- or deattach the SharePoint site from the project plan.
Thank you for reading this topic, please if you also forced with such issue provide us any known workaround or maybe any official response
\ feedback from MS about it.
Thank you in advance,
Best Regards, AndreyRegarding my topic, I also said that every time when sync works it updates All items from project’s plan at Project Server to corresponded task’s list at SharePOint server. Inspire of the fact that you changed only One task or group /
all of them at your project’s plan.
And it seems to me and my colleagues that it’s probably (maybe) a “bug” at the product. Here is what we have if looked a little bit closer to the code:
Share Point determines what task to sync from Project’s plan to sharepoint list. To do that sharepoint needs to know was that task changed or not, based on the following fileds (check SQL stored procedure “[MSP_READ_TASKS_FOR_SYNCRONIZATION]”):
TASK_UID TASK_NAME TASK_START_DATE TASK_FINISH_DATE TASK_PCT_COMP TASK_PARENT_UID TASK_OUTLINE_NUM
WSS_LISTITEM_UID TASK_ID TASK_IS_ACTIVE
We noticed that at any case synchronization performs for all tasks, EXCEPT the ROOT one. Then we looked at the comparison of TASK_PARENT_UID field. So sharepoint compares TASK_PARENT_UID with ParentID (this is internal name for lookup
field “Tasks” at the Sharepoint, and it stores their values at the format "ID;#Title").
And comparison performs like following:
SharePoint looks for Task at the Tasks’s list corresponded to Project’s plan with ID represented at the TASK_PARENT_UID field. Then it takes SharePoint ListItem ID (“int” type) and store it to the “num” parameter;
num = this.GetCachedListItemByUniqueId(listItem.ParentList, nullable.Value).ID;
2.Then it compares “num” with task’s “ParentID” at SharePOint as follow with operator “!=”:
((SPItem) listItem)["ParentID"] != (System.ValueType) num
3. If comparison was success (true) – then it tell us that values (at the Project’s plan for tasks) was changed, then it need to be synchronized. Corresponded Method setup “true” flag, and then returns it.
The “bug” is that this expression at the Step 2 will always return “true”, because in fact it compares “string” (see above – that this is lookup field at SharePoint side)
with “number”. For example if the parant task ID is “55”, then we get:
"55;#Task 1" != 55
And by the rules of .Net the “string” will never equal “number”
Furthermore this is approved by the SharePoint logs:
In that case we always get the note “Setting ParentID to” at the logs (we see it if turns on Verbose for “Project Server” -> “Sharepoint Integration” category).
So at any case of publishing project’s plan we always get that note at the logs for tasks that have Parent task, and we have Parent for all of them EXCEPT the ROOT one, exact logs represented further:

Workflow SedMail Fails with Project Data:Project Owner Email
Hi Forum,
I've been using Project Server 2013 for while now and I've been tasked with setting up workflows.
The workflow SendEmail facility is useful but I've noticed something strange.
If I put the Recipient as: "Project Data:Project Owner Email" then the Workflow will fail, and in the WFInstanceDatabase the error is http - bad request.
If I change the Reciepient to a named user, the workflow passes.
What's even stranger, when running the workflow the Project Owner is the same AD User.
I'm running in Project Server Permissions Mode, but it does suggest a permissions or lack of some sort of Synchronization going on, as the the AD user has the email field setup and is also listed in the AD Synchronization Pool screen (if the PWA Settings
area).
If this problem rings any bells, your help would be appreciated. I've spent a few weekends, going through process of elimnation, Workflow Setup, SMTP setup, setting up very simple workflows, so I've managed to get this specific difference.
Many Thanks
Regards
MarkHi Kiran,
I've changed the email template in SPD2013 to set the To: to a named user (synced via AD) and in the body I've added ProjectData:ProjectOwnerEmail and on running the creating a new project, I am getting the email, and also in the body, it's showing the email
address.
So it indicates that emailing does work, the property is available, but it seems to point to whether something more fundamental is missing. I'm hoping there's something else to check?

Oracle Project Analytics - Project Manager Security Implementation
Has anyone implemented a security scenario for Project Managers, such that they can only see the information associated to their projects when using EBS as the source? If so,
- How did you identify the relationship between project managers and their projects? Did you use an initialization block and pull this information in from EBS?
- Where did you define the security/filtering configuration so that they were limited on what they could see?
- Did you create a custom responsibility for 'Project Managers' and have them access a set of Project Manager dashboard/reports that followed the Project Manager security model?
Thanks in advance.
k
Please note that I have posted this same question/thread in the BI Apps forum. I didn't want to duplicate effort, but I know different users may only come to this forum. The link to the original thread is below:

Oracle Project Analytics - Project Manager Security ImplementationCoolmesh84,
Thanks for the great info and reply. This makes complete sense to me, but I just want to make sure I am clear on a couple points:
+1. Use an initialization box to filter the user's emp id+
You mean use an init block to pull the users employee id and store it in a session variable correct? The session variable will then be used later as part of the filter criteria.
*2. and add a filter to the required dimension table in business layer to filter based on the project_manager_id column for the project manager group.+*
To implement the step above, would you follow theses steps:
1. Go to Manage->Security
2. Under Groups, select the group planned to be utilized for this filter (in this case I double clicked the Project Manager group).
3. I then Click permissions button for this group
4. Go to the Filters tab of the window that pops up
5. Add a filter, go to BMM tab and select the Project dimension and then define a filter for Proj Mgr Id = nqsession.employeeid
+3. Ideally you should be able to use the OOTB project manager group for this security.+
This is a good point, but a few more questions here - There are a number of Project related groups (see below) in the out of box Oracle BI Apps RPD and all of them essentially roll up to the super group 'Operating Unit Org-based Security'. Is there a best practice or preferred approach for utilizing these groups as they related to Oracle EBS v12? Is there any good documentation out there to see what the intended use and setup is for these groups? Do all of these groups relate back to an EBS Responsibility? I have read through the OBIA Security Configuration document and basically all it says is to enable the operating unit org initilization block and thats all .. not really all that helpful.
Thanks again - k

Unable to open/edit project in project professional form PWA(project server 2010)
i have been working perfectly and opening my projects with project professional from PWA
All of a sudden,i get this error: no permission to read enterprise global file when trying to edit my projects in project professional from the PWA
i have also tried opening the project from project professional directly and it says (you do not have sufficient permissions to perform the requested action)
please what is the cause of this issue and what can i do to resolve it?Hello kehinde,
The cause of this problem is somebody changed something.
To resolve, I would clear out the cache to see if that resolves anything.
Then, I would reboot system and see if that resolves.
If still no go, then I would look into security settings, and start doing some detective work. I keep a version of project server in a separate instance, that is completely out of the box, so I can have a reference point for settings.
If still not solution, then I would resave the global file settings.
Cheers!

How do I create a project site after I publish a project in Project Server 2013?
How do I create a project site after I publish a project from project pro 2013 in Project Server 2013? I'm trying to look for an option in the ribbon but haven't found any.
Thanks
James T.FHi James,
See in the article the procedure for site provisionning settings.
Note that the project site is created based on the template associated to the chosen project type (EPT) when the user first publishes his project. Be aware that if you allow the user to choose weither or not he'll create a sharepoint site when publishing
his project, he will be prompted in Project Pro with a dialog box giving the choice to create or not the site.
Hope this helps,

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and iMovie11 9.0.4 have a had very stressful time trying to clear down the Movies folder from my internal drive and get it across to a new external hard drive, as my 700gb drive on my 2009 iMac is practically full. I have taken a full back-up and also created a new 1.5 TB partition on the external drive. However I do not know how to get the Events and Projects across, and for iMovie to know that every thing is now on the new drive.
Initially I copied the 2 folders using finder, which seemingly worked but then I discovered that iMovie did not display the the new events, so I deleted the 2 folders from the external drive and tried manually moving the events in iMovie. This was very slow, with lots of spinning wheels and eventually iMovie crashed. So I moved the new Event copies I did manage to create into trash, but still iMovie was crashing.
I then, thinking something had become corrupted, I tried to restore the Events folder and Projects folder from my backup, but that did not work as I got a message saying the there was not enough space to do the copies (why does it need extra space as I assume it would be overwriting the existing folders ?). So in desperation I did some forum searching and ended up deleting the com.apple.iApps.plist. Now iMovie seems to be working fine, and is displaying al the events from my internal drive (I have ejected all other drives), and I am back to square one (hopefully), however for some reason the 'month' folders I had previously created in each Event 'Year' have disappeared and all the, for example 2013 events, are now under the 2013 folder with no Month sub folders( I assume this is something to do with the preferences I had deleted ?)
I am hoping someone can direct me on the right path for getting the Events (not all of which are used in Projects) and Projects across to the new external drive, so I can free up space on the internal drive (and install Mountain Lion - my end goal).
I have been trying to do all this since 0600 this morning, so if anyome can help it would be very much appreciated.
Jim (now grabbing a much needed beer !)Do the external drive show up in iMovie 11?? I just drag and drop in iMovie and don't touch it or change in finder.

I've several Premiere Pro CC 2014 projects I want to relocate via project manager (one at a time). They're excessive in size (many long and unused footage files), so "Create New Trimmed Project" is the setting-option, within project manager, most attractive. BTW I love how project manager does this... However, when I check on its new location, I don't see any linked AfterEffects files. Fine, I try the other setting "Collect Files and Copy to New Location". This option allows me to now copy everything including rendered scenes featuring my AE compositions (and a lot of excess, unused files)... but still no AE files!
Is it possible to export a Premiere Pro project, excluding unused files, yet include all used files... especially linked files such as AE compositions?Though not exactly the solution I seek, I've tried an alternative approach... it works (if anyone's interested)... but my original question still stands.
Alternative approach (and probably the only option now):
When I copy & trim my Premiere Pro project via project manager to its new location, I can open the new file and see the track editor now includes broken links to AfterEffects compositions. Since I don't wish to relink these to the current .AEP file, I may package** the original AE project to a location near my newly-located Premiere Pro project folder. To do this, I open the original .AEP file containing any compositions linked to my original Premiere Pro project, and use File < Dependencies < Collect Files. This feature copies all files (and a new .AEP copy) from this AE project to my newly selected destination (as long as no files are missing).
So at this point, when I open my newly-located PP project, I can relink the broken AfterEffects composition links in PP to the new .AEP file. Yay!
**package (for those unaware) is the term used within Adobe InDesign. This feature gathers all linked files that makeup the overall design and layout, and copies into a new folder. -
After moving an entire client folder from an external hard drive to an internal one, the client's video, created in adobe premiere elements 10, will no longer open in adobe premiere elements 10. It appears to be loading the project, and instead of completing, the following error message is displayed: "The project is not compatible with current version of Premiere Elements."
The same thing occurs when attempting to open the archive files.
New projects, and unmoved projects behave properly.
Moved projects receive this error.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 on a solid state drive (SSD) (c:/), where premiere elements is installed
My documents, including the project I need to work with are on my "storage" drive (HDD). it is (f:/)txnoda
Archiving Aspects of this.....
First let clear the matter of the "archiving" as a life saver.... We do not appear to be on the same wave length.
a. I am talking about File Menu/Project Archiver with its Archive project and Copy project options. This feature is a safety net to save you when you
inadvertently disconnect source media from the project file. With the Archive option (Trimmed Folder result), you get saved to the computer hard drive (safe keeping) a copy of the project file plus copies of the media that were taken to the Timeline. With the Copy option (Copied Folder result), you get copy of the project files plus copies of much more.
b. Instead, you appear to be talking about "archiving" in the context of AutoSaves. AutoSaves are saved snapshots of the project at various phases of the edit. They suffer from the same shortcomings of the original project that has been disconnected from its source media.
When you import media into a project, all you get are copies of the originals in the project. But, those copies need to trace back to originals at the locations where they were when first imported into the project. Moving, renaming, deleting files/folders that went into the project after the project save close leads to some very time consuming messy situations.
What to do....
If you can, put everything back the way it was. If not.....
Let me emphasis some factors..
You wrote

Here you mention specifically "client's video". Later you detail with .mod files converted to .avi. What kind of .avi? If you have converted to AVCHD.avi or H.264.avi, they have been found not to be compatible with Premiere Elements. You should not be able to import them into any new or old project.
From what you described, I am envisioning
"Video" Folder
which contains 2 folders named
"Timestamped Folder" with .avi files
and
"DVD" Folder with the project file (project.prel)
The project file has many files generated automatically in the course of it workflow. Where do you have them going?
(See Premiere Elements 10 Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Discs). If you have the Scratch Discs directed
"Same As Project", then we would expect all those files to be going to the DVD Folder in the above scenario.
If we could open the project and get greeted with some "Where is the file.....?" messages, that might give us some hope.
But that is not the case.
Consequently from what you have said, I am suggesting that the path of least resistance is try to recreate the "before".
Please review and consider.

Is it possible in Aperture 3 to sort by camera serial number..?
Ok so I've bought a second 5Dmk2 for my Wedding photography, now the time sync is out by 1 hour on each camera, summer time and none summer time..
I know how to change this in the meta data, but my problem has a bit more to it, the file numbers also over lap, i.e i have two versions of img_8990 from both cameras, and meany of these...
So all the pic's are out of order, and the numbers are quite jumbled up too
What I would like to do, is sort by camera serial number, change the time on one set of images, then arrange by time, the rename the files...
So the question is, can/how do you arrange by camera serial number..?Hello,
So the question is, can/how do you arrange by camera serial number..?
You cannot sort by serial number, but you can separate your images by serial number:
I suggest to create a smart album for each camera:
File -> New -> Smart Album
Then add a rule: Serial number contains
Do this for each of your cameras, and then use "Metadata -> Batch Change -> Adjust Time Zone" for each of the separate smart albums for each of your cameras.
Good Luck
