Hi,
maybe SAP note 690497 could help you.
It's an enhancement of BADI DOCUMENT_EC01 to control the behavior of the EAI-viewer. You can use it, for example, to:
o  Activate functions like saving or opening in the
   viewer or
o  Dectivate functions like saving or opening in the
   viewer
o  Implement customized authorization checks for
   Redlininng Layer

  • How to upload the pdf file to the next view?....urgent

    Hi Experts,
    I need to upload the pdf file( a interactive form ) using the fileupload element in the A_view and the pdf file can be displayed in the b_view.
    But I don't know how to complete the function?
    Action:
    0.  Create a adobe form (c_form)in the R/3 using sfp with a inputfield.
    1.  Create a adobe interactive form (A_interactive_form)in the view(display_view) of the WDA for abap.
    2.  Create a context attribute(upload) in the display_view.
    3.  Bind the c_form to the A_interactive_form, so that the data can be transfered to the c_form.
    4.  Bind the "pdfSourth" property to context attribute "upload" in the A_interactive_form.
    4.  Type code in the WDA for abap for setting data("old") to the context.
    5.  Active the WDA and run the WDA.
    6.  In the IE, the interactive form is displayed with the value "old" in the field. Save the pdf form as "test.pdf" and close the IE.
    7.  Open the test.pdf, and type the inputfield "new" in the form, and save the test.pdf.
    8.  Create a context node(Pdfsourth) in the component controller, and create a attribute("upload") that type is xstring in the Pdfsourth.
    9.  Create a view(C_view), mapping the context node(Pdfsourth) in the component controller.
    10. Create a fileupload element in the C_view, and the "data" property is binded the "upload" attribute in the context node(Pdfsourth).
    11. Create a button(Display_form) and create the action with the outplug for upload the pdf file(test.pdf).
    12. Change the window and set the C_view as default view, and set the Navigation link from the C_view to B_view.
    13. Type code in the wddoinit method in the display_view for transfering the test.pdf file.
    method WDDOINIT .
    DATA lo_componentcontroller TYPE REF TO ig_componentcontroller .
    DATA upload                 TYPE        xstring.
    lo_componentcontroller =   wd_this->get_componentcontroller_ctr( ).
      lo_componentcontroller->getupload(
        IMPORTING
          upload = upload                         " xstring
      DATA lo_nd_pdfsourch TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
      DATA lo_el_pdfsourch TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
      DATA ls_pdfsourch TYPE wd_this->element_pdfsourch.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <PDFSOURCH> via lead selection
      lo_nd_pdfsourch = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_pdfsourch ).
    get element via lead selection
      lo_el_pdfsourch = lo_nd_pdfsourch->get_element(  ).
    get single attribute
      lo_el_pdfsourch->set_attribute(
        EXPORTING
          name =  `UPLOAD`
          value = upload ).
    endmethod.
    15. Active the WDA and run the WDA.
    In the fileupload of the C_view, I select the test.pdf from my local machine. and click the button(Display_form), the display_view is displayed with the A_interactive_form.
    But in the A_interactive_form, the value "old" is in the field in the form rather than "new".
    I hope to display the test.pdf in the A_interactive_form. I don't know how to change my code or configuration?
    Do you give some example or some hint for this problem ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Tao

    Now, The problem has been solved.Thanks a lot.

  • Is there a way to "stamp" PDF files with the purchaser's email address?

    I would like to sell PDF reports and/or eBooks via BC, but I would like to be able to stamp each such PDF/eBook with the purchaser's email address.
    There are certainly stand-alone PDF stamper programs and some providers like gumroad.com already offer that feature.
    Anyone actually done it with BC, please?
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

    Thanks for the rapid response, Liam -- even if it's not the response I was hoping for.

  • Visual Studio 2013. Viewing a PDF file via the Web Browser control in Windows 8.1

    I am writing a Windows Forms application in which I need to view PDF files via the Web Browser control. When the control is given the Navigate() command, Windows takes over and asks which program I want to open the file with. All was fine with VS 2010 and
    XP. I have un-installed "PDF Complete", which was the default PDF viewer, but I now get asked for an alternative.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike Saunders

    Hi Mike,
    It seems that we could use Internet Explorer to open a local .PDF file if it has the Adobe Reader. I doubt that the web control would be related to it. Like the MVP's suggset in the following thread, maybe it would be related
    to certain plug-in tools in your side like the adober reader.

  • View PDF File in  the WebView control ?

    It is possible view PDF File from the internet site or my computer in the WebView control?
    thanks,
    Sameer

    I have not tried that, but since JavaFX supports using Swing components I suggest Googling for PDF support for Swing. Swing has been around longer, so PDF support there is more likely.

  • When I open a pdf file on the net, I can only view page 1. How do I get to the other pages?

    When I open a pdf file on the net, I can only view page 1 and cannot move to page 2, 3, etc. How can I change pages?

    See [[Firefox keeps opening many tabs or windows]]
    You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an ''Open with'' download window.
    Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
    You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions ("File handling in Firefox 3 and SeaMonkey 2" and "Reset Download Actions")

  • Adobe 8 - Unexpected Corrupt or incorrect file type warning when viewing a PDF file from the Web

    Hi,
    On downloading a PDF file from my web site using Adobe 8 on the client machine I expect the file to open automatically however I receive encounter the "File Download" dialog. It has the following warning message: "The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type. As a security precaution, it is recommended that you cancel the download."
    This issue did not occur within previously tested versions of Adobe Reader (e.g. Version 5.1).
    On investigating the issue I discovered the factor that results in Adobe 8 failing to open the file automatically is the Content-Type = "application/pdf; Charset=utf-8". However, if I intercept the response and alter the Content-Type to contain only "application/pdf;" the issue on Adobe 8 does not occur.
    I have even tested when the Content-Type contains an empty Charset (i.e. "application/pdf; Charset=") but this issue still occurs. In addition setting the Charset to other encodings (e.g. "ISO-LATIN-7", "iso-8859-1") the issue occurs.
    QUESTION(s):
    1. Why is it necessary for Adobe 8 when opening PDF files from the web to expect no Charset within the Content-Type?
    2. If this was not an issue within previous versions of Adobe surly this is a bug?
    Since I cannot ensure that the Response's Content-Type does not contain a Charset at all please can someone suggest either a work-around or more importantly a solution to the issue?
    Please Note:-
    1. Within Adobe, Edit -> Preferences -> Internet option it's compulsory for our users to have "Display PDF in browser" ticked!
    2. We cannot prevent a Charset from being present within the Content-Type of the response sent to the client, hence this issue.
    Many Thanks in advance,
    Martin.

    Bill,
    This is exactly the same behavior I observed when I rendered a PDF stored in a database through a .NET page. If I chose to save it, it would open fine after the save, but if I chose to open it in the browser without saving it, I would get the error.
    The problem was not with the PDF or Acrobat. It was with the way I was delivering the PDF. Putting the following code before my binarywrite fixed the issue completely:
    Response.ClearHeaders()
    Response.ClearContent()
    Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
    Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + saveFilename)
    where saveFileName is the name you want to give the PDF.
    You can use 'inline' instead of 'attachment' above if you just want the PDF to open (no option to save first). You can also use 'pdf' instead of 'octet-stream' (not sure the difference).
    The trouble seems to be that .NET puts some info in the header and/or content by default prior to anything your code says to write. If you don't clear this, IE has an issue with it. Other browsers seem to ignore it.
    Bottomline is that this is an issue the website programmer needs to fix and is not something the user can fix by changing some setting(s).
    I hope this helps.

  • What can I do to rectify the situation in which Firefox will not open pdf files in the browser, even though I have already used all the help suggestions to no avail?

    I have tried everything Mozilla has suggested. Still when I click on a pdf, I get the message that the browser cannot open a pdf. I have gone through the help protocol, and it does not work.
    I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, and still not able to open pdf files within the browser.
    What else do I do, except go to IE or Chrome and just leave Firefox completely???

    A possible cause is the presence of a PDF plugin from an older Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.

  • Help - "Acrobat is being used by another application and cannot open PDF files until the other application is closed."

    Hello,
    I searched this site and google for this error terminology and come up dry.  I support a user who has been for years using Acrobat 5 (yes, I know...) to read files in a client DB program, as well as other PDF files on their PC.  In the last week or so, they have started gatting this error "Acrobat is being used by another application and cannot open PDF files until the other application is closed." any time they attempt to open a PDF file attached to an email (via Outlook).
    It is my understanding that they cannot upgrade to a newer version of Acrobat because of limitations of their client software, but had not previously had any issues viewing PDF notes from the DB, and PDF attachments in their email.
    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, as well as tried using Adobe Reader 7 & 9 in conjunction with Acrobat to try to get around this issue, but have not been successful.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jesse

    I don't have an answer to your technical problem. The product I assume is Acrobat that you are talking about (based on the post title), Adobe is the company name. This is a good place to ask questions on Acrobat if folks can figure out what you are talking about. They will ask for the product version number (like AA9.3.3), operating system, and other applications if appropriate. Also, just what you are doing that generates the message.
    As for Adobe, you are not likely to get an answer from them here in the user forum. You will be lucky if you can get an answer if you can contact them and not be on hold for more than an hour (sorry, this is why a lot of folks end up in the forum).
    So, to help others try to answer your question, what are the products and versions involved? What OS? What are you doing when the message comes up.

  • PDF files on the Internet won't open...thanks to new Adobe update?

    I'm running OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro. I installed Adobe Reader 10.1.3 and now can't open any pdf files on the Internet.  Before I spend $39 calling an Adobe tech, I wonder if anyone can help?

    Yachna:  Thank you for your post of April, 18, 2012.  You wrote:
    "If you are using Firefox, Please try launching Firefox in 32 bit modeWe don't support firefox in 64-bit mode
    ->Go to Applications
    ->Command click Firefox app to open the context menu
    ->Choose Get Info Check ‘Open in 32-bit mode’
    Launch Firefox now and try to open a pdf. This should work
    For Safari,
    Please launch your Safari in 64 bit mode and then try viewing/printing the pdf. We don't support Safari 5.1 in 32-bit mode.
    ->Go to Applications
    ->Command click Safari app to open the context menu Choose Get Info
    ->UnCheck ‘Open in 32 bit mode’
    Launch  now and try to open a pdf. This should work"
    In my case, the problem occured only when I used Firefox.  I followed your advice in that regard and retried opening several pdf's that previously would not display.  All did display in 32-bit mode for FireFox.    Your statement that "We don't support Firefox in 64-bit mode."  and your self-description as "Emploee" lead me to think that you are an Adobe employee.  I'm new to all this, so sorry if my inference about who you are is wrong.  But if it is correct, then your advice would seem to be from-the-source-credible.  I hope that in the future, Adobe will support Firefox in 64-bit mode.
    One question though:  If, as you state, Adobe does not support Safari 5.1 in 64-bit mode,  why haven't I had the same problem displaying pdf's with version 5.1.5 Safari?  Only guess I can make at that is that as of Safari 5.1.5 (vs. Safari 5.1), Adobe does support Safari in 64-bit mode.  Anyway, thank you!  And I hope that in my newness to all this, I haven't confused things too badly.

  • Problem creating PDF file using the Adobe PDF printer

    Apologies if I have hit the wrong forum for this issue.
    I am using Adode Acrbat 9 PRO version 9.4.6 on a Windows 7 SP1 machine.
    I am running an application that presents information on web pages that I need to capture as pdf files. I am using an automation tool so it is limiting my posibilities of accomplishing this task.
    I am attempting to use the Adobe PDF printer as the vehicle to create these PDF files but have encountered the following issues
    The page is truncated on the right hand side
    Only 1 page is created when I was expecting 7
    I have specified a file path for the ADOBE PDF Output Folder      ...  C:\Windows\Temp  and
    checked the box "Add document information" but I am not given the opportuniy to enter a file name. It is using the file name from the URL
    To verify my PDF content I used a different method to create the PDF from the same web page
    Right click within the web page and select Convert to Adobe PDF. The pdf file has the full content with no truncation and is 7 pages in total.
    Unfortunately I am unable to use this method with my automation tool
    Any pointers will be gratefully received

    Some progess
    I changed the page orientation to landscape and that removed the truncation. I am not sure why it is not using the "shrink to fit" but for the purposes of this exercise I can live with this solution.
    If I click Print Preview I can view all pages and then if I select the Print Icon I get a PDF file containing all pages. This is so bizarre.
    So to recap
    File > Print > Adobe PDF Printer only creates 1 page
    File > Print Preview > Print Document (Alt +P) > Print >Adobe PDF Printer creates 7 pages
    I guess this would be a good time to call support to see what they have to say on this topic.

  • Which version of Adobe Acrobat is needed to read .pdf files on the iPhone?

    I have Blackbaud's iBBDemo4.exe iPhone simulator for Windows XP. I'm trying to view/read various .pdf files with it. I received an error message that says, "file uses a new format that is not supported by the current version of Acrobat." Does anyone know which Acrobat version is needed for .pdf files on the iPhone and/or iPhone simualtor?

    The iPhone has it's own built in PDF reader, and doesn't need Adobe Reader. So if your simulator software isn't working then I suggest you contact Blackbaud's support. Besides, Adobe doesn't make an iPhone version of Reader.

  • Preview pdf files in the desktop with Adobe Reader Touch .. is it possible?

    preview pdf files in the desktop with Adobe Reader Touch
    .. is it possible?

    Windows Store apps (including Adobe Reader Touch) do not offer the preview capability in the desktop environment.  That's just how Microsoft has set up.  So you need traditional desktop apps.
    Because your operating system is Windows 8 (not Windows RT), you can find a lot of desktop apps that are compatible with Windows 7 and 8.  (For Windows RT, only built-in Microsoft Office products are available for desktop apps.  But that's not the case here.)
    You can download Adobe Reader XI (which is also a free PDF viewer) from the following Adobe Reader download page
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    and install it on your Windows 8 desktop.  (Note for Windows RT users: Adobe Reader XI is not compatible with Windows RT.)
    In case you have any questions about Adobe Reader XI (desktop app), you can visit the Adobe Reader forum.
