Synching Outlook to a specific Calendar on my Blackberry

I have a Bold 9700 and it monitors 5 different email accounts. Each of these accounts subsequently has a Calendar. When I open the Calendar, I have the option of choosing a specific Calendar as a filter.
For the next couple of months, I am involved in a project with a pretty time-sensitive calendar. I have created a new Calendar in Outlook 2007 for this project with all of the times and dates. I would like to synch that with my Blackberry, but I would like all of these appointments to be assigned to a specific calendar within the Blackberry (one not being used by anything else so I can filter the events). Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this? The Desktop Software (v. 6.0.0.40) allows me to choose a specific calendar on the Outlook side, but not the Blackberry side.
Thanks for your help in advance.

  • How to open a specific Calendar in Outlook

    Hi,
    I'm struggling to find an example on other forums, or not understanding the code.
    I want to open a non-default calendar in Outlook to create an appointment (it's a hotmail account, which is shared with a couple of people, so that they can all see the same appointment in outlook).
    The account is in the form of "[email protected]".  I've tried 3 different examples I've found on forums and none work.  Here's the code that works for the default calendar, so I'm after the code to open the specific calendar (the
    variable passed as strCalendar).
    Public Function fnCreateOutlookAppointment(strStartDate As String, Optional strEndDate As String, Optional strEventTitle As String, Optional strLocation As String, Optional strDetails As String, Optional intDuration As Integer, Optional strStartTime As String,
    Optional strEmailList As String, Optional strStatus As String, Optional strAction As String, Optional blnAllDay As Boolean, Optional intReminderTime As Integer, Optional strCalendar As String)
        Dim olApp As New outlook.Application
        Dim olAppointment As AppointmentItem
        Dim myRequiredAttendee As outlook.Recipient
        Set olAppointment = olApp.CreateItem(olAppointmentItem)
        If Len(strStartTime) < 1 Then
            strStartTime = "09:00:00"
        End If
        If blnAllDay = Null Then
            blnAllDay = False
        End If
        If Len(strEndDate) < 1 Then
            strEndDate = strStartDate
        End If
        With olAppointment
            .Start = DateValue(strStartDate) + TimeValue(strStartTime)
            .Duration = intDuration
            .Subject = strEventTitle
            .Location = strLocation
            .Body = strDetails
            Select Case strStatus
                Case "Free"
                    .BusyStatus = olFree
                Case Else
                    .BusyStatus = olBusy
            End Select
            Select Case blnAllDay
                Case True
                    .AllDayEvent = True
                Case Else
                    .AllDayEvent = False
            End Select
            .ReminderMinutesBeforeStart = intReminderTime
            .ReminderSet = True
            If Len(strEmailList) > 0 Then  'only add if email addresses supplied (and using ; as a break e.g. "[email protected];[email protected]"
                Set myRequiredAttendee = .Recipients.Add(strEmailList)
                myRequiredAttendee.Type = olRequired
            End If
            If strAction = "save" Then
                .Save
            Else
                .Display
            End If

    Hi ChrisJC,
    To get the specific calendar folder (non-default folder), please refer to this code below:
    Dim oNS As Outlook.NameSpace
    Dim MyItemsFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder
    Dim myAppoint As Outlook.AppointmentItem
    Set oNS = oApp.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set MyItemsFolder = oNS.Folders("[email protected]").Folders.Item("Calendar")
    Then you could add appointment item by using
    Items.Add method.
    Set myAppoint = MyItemsFolder.Items.Add(olAppointmentItem)

  • Issues Synching Outlook 2007 Calendar to iPhone

    I am unable to Synch Outlook 2007 Calendar with my iPhone. On the other hand, all my Contacts are fine.
    Both, Vista machine and iPhone at the latest versions and patches.
    What am I doing wrong?

    I just discovered that I have TWO Calendars: Default Calendar and Main_Calendar from my Outlook 2003 migration. It is only Synching the Default one but not the one in use Main_Calendar even when the option is set to Synch ALL calendars in iTunes.

  • Can I synch my Outlook for Mac 2011 calendars and contacts with my iPhone calendars and contacts?

    I have Outlook for Mac 2011 and also use OSx Mountain Lion on my iMac.  I want to synch my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook with my iOS devices (iPhone 5 and iPad).  How can I do this so I don't have two calendars and two contacts that don't sync with each other?

    if you don't have a online account that outlook is syncing the calendar with you can't sync it with anything else.
    Just because you enter a appointment, or something, in the outlook calendar that does not auto sync it with other devices unless you have it setup to sync the local, on computer, calendar with a online account of some type. That could be outlook.com or office365 or google or even apple icloud. Once you setup a online account of some type to sync the local calendar with then you can sync that account calendar with orher devices.
    This is what the other poster was trying to say but did not fully explain with the mention of icloud.

  • Two Outlook Calendars on a Blackberry

    I have been using a Tungsten E2 palm pilot until I purchased my 8330 blackberry. On my palm pilot I could synch two calendars & view them seperately. One was my everyday calendar & the "sub calendar" was one I used for only specific dates. Is there a way to do that on the blackberry? I have the desktop software mapped to both calendars in outlook, but it puts information from both calendars on one calendar on the blackberry.

    Time stands still, those of us smart enough ride through it rather than rush through it.

    hello,
    if you have one calendar on your device, it will always synchronize with all the calendars you configure on the Desktop Manager.

  • How can I share a project specific calendar I created on Entourage 2008 ?

    How can I share a project specific calendar I created on Entourage 2008 without showing my personal calendar? I created a project specific calendar using Entourage 2008 for Mac. I want to add someone that uses Outlook from a PC. We are in the same exchange network.  I have added this person in under the sharing tab, but don't see a way to invite her to view it, and it does not appear on her Outlook list of shared calendars. I was able to invite her to view my main calendar, but not the project specific one. Any suggestions?

  • Desktop Mgr 5.1 will not synch Outlook 2007 addresses/contacts now that rogers email added to my Bold 9900

    I have a BB bold 9900, use Outlook 2007 on my desktop pc, and use BB Desktop Manager v. 5.1. I used to be able to synch my BB 9900 for calendar, contacts, and memopad, until I added a data pack to my Rogers account and set up the BB 9900 to receive copies of my ****@rogers.com emails. Then all of a sudden when I went to synch the BB, everything else synched ok, except the Address Book (contacts). I got a message saying "the default service for your device's "Address Book" is no longer available. The new service is *****@rogers.com..." [ie. my email address]. It went on to say that if I wanted to try to use my original default service (which I do, I want it to synch addresses between the blackberry and my outlook 2007 contacts, which has always worked before), I should go to "advanced options" and "default services" on the BB9900, and try to reset it. I did this, but the only "option" the blackberry allows me to have for synching addresses is "[my email]@rogers.com". I am reluctant to choose this "new" system, because I suspect it means it will synch my blackberry contacts with the rogers.com online address book, which I have never used. Is that a correct assumption by the way? I have over 2000 contacts, and I've been very busy the past few weeks so have not had a chance to solve this problem (i've simply just been synching everything other than my contacts/addresses, but in the meantime, i've made several changes to them on both the blackberry and outlook, so it's important that I be able to synch those two databases in order to update them.) I would prefer not to update my Desktop Manager from 5.1 because that version has always worked flawlessly for me, and I have heard of people having major synching problems with later versions. Rogers wouldn't help me with the problem, but "hinted" that it might be a setting in the DM 5.1 that needs to be adjusted. Any advice from anyone on how to rectify this? thanks in advance

  • Mail for Exchange outlook not syncing all calendar...

    Hi,
    Nokia E6 Anna using mail for exchange to sync outlook.com/hotmail calendar. Recently switched phone so would like my entire outlook.com calendar to appear on E6.
    I added mail for exchange hotmail account to phone selecting email, calendar and contacts. However only recurring calendar entries sync. Old single appointments do not sync/appear on the E6. Why is that ?
    Are there any specific calendar settings for mail for exchange ? Mail for exchange/settings has no mention of calendar.
    I use hotmail connector to sync desktop outlook 2010 and outlook.com. Syncing calendar in nokia suite results in duplicate 'Mail for Exchange' calendars so no good.
    If known issue that's OK. A solution would be good.
    thanks,

    I have solved this myself.

  • Synching Outlook w/iCloud sent invites to everyone

    When setting up iCloud, I synched Outlook (local). It worked just fine.
    Until... I heard from across the office, "Hey, why are you filling up my inbox?"
    Turns out, it started re-inviting everyone (hundreds of emails) to events. Events I didn't even originate. Events that will happen in the future. Events that happened in the past.
    I've spent the weekend emailing everyone trying to profusely apologize, sorting through each meeting (I have a lot of them, involving a lot of employees and clients).
    Apple, ***? I can't even figure out what setting would've possibly caused this, and I don't even want to touch iCloud for fear of the same **** thing happening again. Which means, my new iPhone is basically useless with Outlook.
    Can this be? If I simply sync it outside of iCloud, will this happen again?
    No trust, no faith right now. Angry people/clients. No troubleshooting available that I can find.
    Help?

    I found a way to stop the inviations from being sent to everyone.
    Outlook 2010
    -         Double click on the calendar entry that has the invitation
    -         File (on top at far left)
    -         Move to Folder – select delete
    -         You will be prompted to enter an email address – enter yours
    The invitation will now be deleted and the copy only sent toyou. This is a pain and for me I had to do one by one since my reoccurring events did not transfer at reoccurring.
    I beleive this will work in older version of outlook -
    Open your Outlook calendar and select the meeting item.
    Delete or cancel the meeting anyway you like.
    The meeting dialog will open and ask you if you want to send the notification.  The attendees’ names are conveniently already entered in the To: field.
    Delete all the attendees’ email addresses and enter your own (or any other) email address.
    Mouse-click the Send Cancellation button.
    My final solution:
    Calendar:  sync mycalendar with categories on MSN.  I canalso use this on idevice and exchange
    Email:  leaving on icloud since I was on a mobile and that account is all organized.  But, I still use my MSN address and forward my emails to icloud.  Why?  I was an early adapter to mobileme and it was very unstable.  Over time I have grown to appreciate always having a clean email account where the originals are kept.
    Contacts:  At the moment they are on icloud but I am testing MSN.
    Google is not a solution for me since I use more than one calendar and prefer to use categories.   You also need to use an intermediary sync program and it was slow……….  Plus I prefer the organization of outlook to Google.
    Issues with icloud calendar that worked in mobileme:
    1.  Lost reoccurng events - they appear but not as reoccuring
    2.  Lost categories
    3.  There are actually fewer options in icloud!
    4.  Forced integration immediatly on all devices.  This is huge - we should be allowed to test and use.  Instead we could not access email, calendar or contacts until devices were updated.
    For me this was a backwards step....

  • Synching Outlook and Droid 3

    I may be limiting myself here.  I've used a blackberry where I synched Outlook with my phone.
    From outlook, it synched the contacts, calendar, tasklist, memopad.
    I want to do the same thing with my Droid 3.  All my old data is on my PC in Outlook.  I like Outlook because it allows me to store a lot of old email on my PC.
    So my needs are:
    1) Store a lot of my my old email on my PC.
    2) Synch calendars
    3) Synch task list
    4) Synch Memos (or sticky notes)
    5) Synch address list
    Hopefully everything will integrate.
    Before there was one application (Desktop Manager) that did all the synchronization, and on my PC everything was in Outlook.
    Am I thinking to narrowly to keep everything in outlook?
    So all you droidians, what do you suggest?
    Thanks, in advance.

    The good news is that you aren't limiting yourself. There are a variety of options for doing what you want to. Take a look at http://syncdroid.net - they have an expansive list of the various sync options for getting data from Outlook to Android, and vice versa. Pay attention to the differences among the options, however, as not all of the programs will do everything you want.
    Our own software, CompanionLink for Outlook, is included in that list. It can sync contacts, calendars, tasks, and memos (categories too!). It comes with a 2-week free trial, so after looking over your options if it sounds like a good fit, I'd encourage you to give it a test run. If you have any questions about it, I'm here to help!

  • Synch outlook contacts to contacts in blackberry storm 9550 with wired connection: "address book not installed"

    I have been synching outlook, calendar, address book contacts, task and memos, to my blackberry storm 9550 using outlook 2003 for about 6 months.  Somewhere along the line, MS Outlook on my PC no longer synchs with Blackberry contacts. I can still synch calendar, tasks and memos, but get a "not installed" for the address book contacts.  I have installed the latest blackberry desktop 6.1.0B38 and tried to reconfigure.  I still get "address book not installed" for the contacts.  This is a wired synch and wireless is turned off.  Any ideas how to fix? • How do I create a new event entry for a specific calendar?

    In my iMac Calendar app, I have created a few calendars for different functions.    But every time I try to create a new event entry for a specific calendar, the app seems to prefer a different calendar instead by default.   I cannot enter events in other calendars.   Is there a way to do this?   In previous versions, I would highlight the particular calendar I wanted to work with and the entry would go into that calendar.   Thanks!

    You don't.  Moments in Photos are the new Events, i.e. groupings of photos sorted by date taken.
    When the iPhoto Library was first migrated to Photos there was a folder created in the sidebar titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in that folder. To open the sidebar if it's not already open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
    There's a way to simulate events in Photos.
    When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N.  Name it as desired.  It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
    When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.
    The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right.
    Ask Apple for more sorting options in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

    Dear All,
    Actually this is very simple question. But unfortunatelly nobody ( Apple and MS side ) answered me clearly.
    So i want to be sure that there is "no way" to synchronize  the Outlook 2011 for Mac "Calendars" with my iPhone6 via iTunes or any other way.
    This was possible old iTunes before, but the new iTunes and Yosemite are not give this chance. So why ? what happened ?
    Please tell me "clearly" IF there is a way. and please specify one by one.
    Thank you very much.
