Trouble with image restore on dreamweaver cs3

I am a GoLiver trying to learn Dreamweaver. I am having a problem with image restore on the rollover.  Here is the url
http://www.allthegills.com/meadowcroftweb
Not sure where I went wrong.
Thanks for any help.

The onmouse over and out need to go in your href tag. You have them in your img tag. Should look like this
<a href="index.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('index','','images/img_over.gif',1)"><img src="images/img.gif" alt="whatever" name="index" /></a>

  • Trouble with image size

Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble with image sizes.
I created a 977x5000 px image at 72 PX/inch resolution with text for use on a weebly website.
When created the image looks like a small vertical bar(maybe around 50x500px) with a massive left and right photoshop background(not the image background). so if I drag the bottom slider to the left or right the image will completely disappear.  I can CTR and + to get it to the correct size so I can actually read the text. I can still go very far left and right with bottom slider. The problem comes in when I save it to a PNG or other file it still shows up as a bar.
Is there any way to fix this so it saves it as the correct viewing size? that way when I open the image it's an actual 977x5000 instead of looking like a 50x500
I'm on Windows 7, my display settings are at 100% and I'm using Photoshop  CC 2014

You do not understand what is going on at all. First an image file's PX/inch resolution setting is meaningless when it come to the Web and displays all that is meaningful is pixels.  For displays are run at one resolution usually their native manufactured Pixel resolution so your image will be displayed at 96DPI on Desktop Displays and a 300+DPI on Phones and around 250DPI on tablets.  Your image  height is also to large to fit on any display.  The Display I think that displays the most pixels is the IBM T221 22.2" LCD 16:10 aspect ratio 3840px by 2400px.  at 204DPI.  Rotating  that display to portrait it can display an image with a height of 3840px your image height is larger 5000.  Your image has an aspect ratio in the neighborhood of 1:5  an image 50x500 has an aspect ratio of 1:10 a far cry from 1:5 your image is much wider then 1:10.

  • Having trouble with image processor...help please!

HI there...First off I just bought a new iMac and haven't a clue what I'm doing so my problem could be related to that.  While I'm waiting for Adobe to transfer over my platform I downloaded the trial of CS5 Extended to get me started.  I'm having trouble with the image processor...I choose file/scripts/image processor...the dialog box comes up and I choose use open files and then try and choose the folder I want to save them in.  I choose my folder and hit run and it keeps telling me specify folder destination.  I can't for the life of me figure this out...what am I doing wrong?  It always worked fine for me on my PC and CS3.  I can't handle saving each image individually in the new folder...
    Thanks!!

I haven't renamed anything as far as I know.  I made a new folder when I hit Folder option and it's highlighted as well as the path shows up in the processor box.  Just when I choose run it tells me to specify a folder.  The only thing I can think of is that maybe something messed up b/c I'm copied the files and folders over from my PC but it let me save as on the mac.  Also the folder I'm choosing to put them in is on the Mac harddrive.  IDK...

  • Cannot Move images freely on Dreamweaver CS3

So I just got Dreamweaver CS3 today and this is my first
exposure to the program. I have a problem though.
I cannot drag an image on top of another one without it
snapping to either the top, bottom or sides of the image I am
dragging it on top of. I have extensive experience in CorelDraw and
in that program you can drag images ANYWHERE you please and it
doesn't matter what layer that image is in. What settings must I
change so that I can move images freely?
More detailed description of my problem:
I have designed a large image for my background and I want to
drag a menu that I designed on top of that one. Both images are JPG
format. When I try to drag the menu image on top of the larger
background image it snaps usually above or bellow the larger
background image - it never stays on top of the background
    image(where I want it).
What must I do to fix this?
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick Hall

Sorry, but DW is not CorelDRAW. You cannot successfully just
    drag pieces
about and plop them where you want. The positioning of page
    elements is
controlled by a combination of (X)HTML & CSS. Until you
    become comfortable
with both of those DW will be a constant frustration.
    www.sitepoint.com is
but one of many good starting points. I find their books to
    be very good.
Look for something that focuses on (X)HTML & CSS for
    beginners.
    Good luck.

  • Facing Problems with the Installation of Dreamweaver CS3

    Hello,
I am facing some problem while installing Dreamweaver CS3 ..
tried number of times but to no avail.. every time the same error
message pops up "You can only install one product at a time. Please
complete the other installation before attempting to install Adobe
    Dreamweaver CS3"
I am pretty sure I am not installing any other Adobe product
in parallel. I already have Adobe Flash CS3 on my system and its
working pretty fine for me but I am not able to get around with
Dreamweaver. Please let me know what I need to do to run this

I put a flash image gallery into my web page using dreamweave

    Getting a 404 error for
    http://www.jenspaeth.com/home.swf
    before I even
bring a mouse over the screen.
    I'm guessing that
    http://www.jenspaeth.com/Jen
    Site/Shell.swf is
attempting to load that file and cannot find it.
Did you upload home.swf and any other relavent files to the
    root of
www.jenspaeth.com? Or is it supposed to be in the "Jen Site"
    folder?
You should not use spaces in folder/file names.

  • Help! I'm having trouble with images on my web page.

I'm trying to create a page with a bunch of my photos but I need the photos broken up into groups so I can discuss the different groups. So I simply cut and paste the photo area several times BUT now when I click on any picture in any group it only does a slideshow for the last group of photos.
I guess I could simply break the single page into multiple pages but that is so inconvenient in iWeb since it doesn't let you cut and paste template pages! Apple needs to seriously fix this shortcoming. How can you not allow cutting and pasting of pages??
Here's the page I'm having trouble with:
    http://photo.braintransplants.com/Site/Astronomy.html
    Thanks!
    PowerBook G4 17 (A1085) 1.5 GHz / 1.5 GB RAM / 128 MB VRAM / 80 GB HD   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

You probably realise by now that you're attempting to do things with iWeb which it just wasn't intended to do. Cutting and pasting the photo grid area just won't work as you want it to. To work within iWeb's limitations might i suggest that you use the 'nesting' approach described in several posts here already. Use a single representative image on your main page for each of the situations you want to cover, and link each of these to an appropriate Photo page which has 'Include page in navigation menu' unchecked.
You could add a link on each of the Photo pages which returns to your main descriptive page.

  • ANN: Using Spry 1.6 with Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3

It has been brought to my attention that most of the example
    files in
Chapters 19 and 20 of "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3
    with CSS,
Ajax, and PHP" don't work as expected after upgrading to Spry
    1.6. This
is because Spry 1.6 handles HTML in CDATA sections
    differently. The
solution is to add entityEncodeStrings:false to the options
    passed to
the Spry XML Dataset. For details, see the book's updates

  • Trouble with image sizes....

I have a freelance job where I am creating a few simple animations for a digital menu board for a Dairy Queen. I am having trouble with the size of my stage translating to the proper size on the LCD monitor. Is there a trick for making the conversion? The stage is huge and in writing is way bigger but still comes up smaller when viewed on the monitor. The monitor we are using is 768 x 1366 (or 15.5” x 27.5”) and my stage is 5100px x 7688px ( or 70"x106"). So you would think the flash file would be huge but it is too small by about 4in?!?!
    --Matt--

those aspect ratios are different.  to fill the screen, you will need to make a descision to leave space at the top/bottom, crop your stage width or distort your stage.
you can publish for 100%x100% and use the scaleMode property of the stage to select your option.

  • Problem with image flip in ID CS3

I have a document with a series of similar pages, for example a common background image and then coupons of varying value amounts on successive pages. On the "coupon" portion of the page, there is a small picture of the product. Sometimes the product image will print fine, sometimes upside down, sometimes upside down and backwards. Typically the first page of the document will print or distill fine, and then one or all of the following pages will have a flipped image. Printing each page one by one corrects the problem, since then each page is "page one". The problem occurs when printing to the color laser device as well as when distilling a pdf. When inspecting the document, it appears to be properly constructed. This is just one sort of example, but usually it is any sort of layered, complex file with multiple images. One of my staff said he has seen this happen before at his previous employment, with large InDesign files. Any thoughts on how we can prevent this from happening. We are all on mac and printing to an industrial strength commercial output, but I don't think it's the output device, since it happens when we distill a pdf as well. Thanks

    Al and Michael,
    In answer to your questions,
we sometimes when making a low res pdf for client viewing do an export
from Indesign to a customized "small file" ppd variant that collects
    the fonts.
Usually we print to postscript and use a ppd created by one of our
film houses, Vertis, that is the customized ppd we use to export to
our epson proofer SWOP that generates a pdfx1a. If you would like I
can send you these ppds. Please let me know.
Sometimes when the file is complex using the print to file and distill
does not work, we get some stitching and boxes so when we use the
pdfx1a export from Indesign sometimes that works. We have learned that
it is not exact science. That is another issue, since the files that
have the stitching issues are not the same files that have the image
    flips.
The equipment and versions we are using:
    Mac g5 computer (non intel)
    OsX v10.5.6
    InDesign CS3 v5.04
    Acrobat Distiller Professional 8.1.3
Since the problem occurs in the same documents both when outputting to
the device and creating a pdf intermittently I would not be so certain
that the issue is caused by the output device, however,
it is a Canon Image Press C1
    Boot ROM version 55.03
    Device System 63.01
and the server running it is a
    EFI Fiery System 8
    Version 1.01
I see some PPDs that are for the Canon that are EF4M2068 with
different extensions. Don't know if I am looking in the right place.
The Canon people are also looking into this however like I said I am
suspicious that there may be something in our file construction since
we run a lot of documents here and it seems to be confined to just a
    few of them.
Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to what Michael asks, what ppd is being used when you
print to postscript for distilling? Or are you actually exporting the
    pdf?

  • Trouble saving images for web in CS3

    Hello All,
I am trying to make buttons, etc. in Illustrator CS3 then saving them for web stuff as either gif's or jpg's. Everything was working fine for a while - the images and text looked great. Mid project the images and text started becoming super pixilated. No matter what type of image I tried to save it as, or what quality they're set to they're very jagged, grainy and awful looking! I don't think I've changed any setting and wracked my brain and the forums, FAQ's, help for a solution to this. Just seems like it came out of nowhere!
Thanks in advance for any advice and councel!!

I am wondering why my advice was any worse than yours. I admit I mistakenly suggested Monitor RGB instead of Windows RGB but as far as I know sRGB is the default for most monitors. This would put them all pretty close. Am I missing something?
I would think that having someone set the images with icc profiles and then adjusting their own browser to correctly display such images would cause the exact same problem you say my solution does. It would give the image editor an impression of the image that nobody else is going to see. I don't know anyone that uses icc profiles for web work. In general I don't think you will find many people who have set their browsers to correctly view images that have these profiles. So it seems like someone that has will be thinking the images look great on their system but not on someone else's.
If someone may eventually repurpose these for print then worry about icc profiles for the printer. It seems like a huge waste of time for anything that is purely on screen.
I am not trying to battle with you over who is correct I just want to understand what your saying.

  • I purchased a template and are having trouble with images in preview

When I edit .gif or .jpg they view correctly in Dreamweaver but when I preview the page in I.E. it can't find the images.  If I open the page in Firefox it works fine.  I'm new to Dreamweaver but I've worked with FrontPage and Expressions.  I'm puzzled.

Did you define your local site folder in DW before you started this project?  Without this critical 1st step, DW cannot properly manage site assets for you.
Go to Site > Manage Sites or New site.  Tell DW where your site files are located on your hard drive.
Under Advanced Settings > Local Info, set your Default Images folder and use Links relative to document.
    Hit Save.

  • Having trouble with Ipod, restoring thing, kind of

This might be kind of long,
So two weeks ago my i tried to load my video ipod onto itunes but my computer said it didnt recognize the usb device, I left it there and then took it out and plugged it back in. This time it loaded on itunes but it said it was currupt. So I called my buddy and he walked me through the whole updating thing, so we updated everything, nothing helped. I tried restoring it but I kept giving me different messages, including the error 1418 one.
I took it to Best Buy, to have it looked at, and they said that nothing was wrong with it, and my computer was the problem. Somehow they also deleted everything off of it. When I got home, It began to work fine, I loaded all my stuff back on and everything. Yesterday, It started doingthe exact same thing. Both times it has been after my Ipod was fully depleted of power, so I think that this might be the problem, but the thing is even when the computer recognizes the ipod, it still gives my the restore screen.
Im grateful for any help anyone can give me, thanks.

See: Error 1415/1417/1418/1428 when restoring any iPod using iTunes 7 or later.

  • Trouble with icloud restoring

    Hello,
I have restored my iphone setup via iCloud here with iphone 6th
But now 4 hours after standing still when the screen is locked to restore from iCloud and it does not do anything or downloaded anything.
I have updated to 8.0.2 via computer, because it could not be updated because it stood was about to restore.
What could be causing and how do I fix it?
    Thomas

Apple's explaination of this warning message is:
"This message is provided if you decide to cancel a background restore. If you proceed you will need to restore again to get all your data on your device, or download your music, apps, and other data again in another way. The best way to avoid this is to not cancel a background restore. If you do cancel a restore, make sure you have copies of the data that was not restored. If you wish to restart a canceled restore, you will need to erase all the content and settings on your device and reinitiate the restore during the iOS Setup Assistant."
My interpretation of this is that if you cancel the restore, the remaining data in the backup will not be restored to your phone until you restore again, unless you have copies of the missing data that you can restore to your device another way (such as by syncing).  I believe you'll be able to restore the backup again, you will just need to go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go back through the setup screens on your phone and when given the option, choose Restore to iCloud backup and this time enter the correct iCloud ID.

  • Having trouble with Imaging with an Answer File

I would like to create an image for Multiple machines; however, I am not sure if I should install the drivers for all machines on one machine and then use the Microsoft-Windows-Pnp Sysprep_Neutral switch in my answer file to keep all drivers that are already
installed on the system and not clean up drivers for devices not present.
Can someone assist me with figuring this out?
Also, trying to get device drivers from other computer to move them to one central computer without having to install one by one. Was going to try moving the .sys and .inf from the drivers folders from the multiple systems and hope that window 7 can give
    each system what it needs.
    Thanks
    AP

If you have already captured your image as a wim, you can use DISM (which is part of the WAIK) to inject the drivers into the wim.  Here is a link that should walk you through the process. (FYI, run it as an administrator)
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd799258%28v=ws.10%29
The command is: Dism /image:[WIM FILE PATH] /Add-Driver /driver:[DRIVER STORE] /recurse
Recurse should scan all the folders in inject all the drivers it finds, sometimes you have to add /ForceUnsigned to some drivers, but those are few and far between.  You should check the DISM log in %windir%\logs\dism.log for any errors you encounter
and just look for the timestamp as it's your best bet to finding the errors.  I used to support 20+ models of printers and 11 or 12 different models of Dell PCs and laptops, and regularly injected about 1000 drivers for all of them.
Needless to say, driver injection is VERY useful!
