Two syncronized method in sequence ??? Please HELP or switch within sync ?

Hi every1,
its big..but it won't be difficult for u guys.. thank you....
i have to keep a track of number of session failures and also why it failed...
multiple threads access this method...it a very huge method and within the method there are many places where it could possibly fail a session setup..
so now i have two options:
1st option: i call synchronize method for failedsessionsetup and then another sychronized method(for example: provision failed) to increment the counter for number of setups failed due to provisions. i understand that threads would not have to wait for a long time as i m just only incrementing a value..

2nd option: i make 1 syncronized function failessetup and increment failed setup everytime and pass this method a short paramter (i can only pass a short parameter as a reason for failure). then make a switch statement which would increment a partular bin or counter for that particular failure.

Hi Hugh,
This has been a saga from **** for me, and really no one has come up with a solution for me at all, not even apple. BUT I have burnt a dvd, and have found I couldn't do 2 discs one after the other, I could only do 1 and repeat the whole sorry saga again. If this doesn't work I don't know as I have tried everything.
1. Do a disc repair using disk utility.
2. Do the same using your boot up disc.
3. Go into itunes and make sure the audio is .aiff 48,000 and your video footage in your camera by the way should be 16 bit.
4. Go to your home > library > Cache and toss it in the trash
5. Whilst in the library go to the preference folder and take out the by host folder and put that in the trash.
6. Still in the library take out the com.apple.idvd.plist and imovie.plist and chuck the 2 of them
7.Now in imovie reimport your audio from itunes if you want it.
8.Export it to idvd - note, if it doesn't play well here, don't worry, mine was never in sync. just move on
9.Save it as a disk image.
10.When finished then play in dvd player to see how it plays
11. I found it best to then burn in toast. BUT I have also had problems burning in toast at this point.
As I said in the beginning, I did finally get my dvd. BUT I do have to go through all this before I can burn another!!! I have a pile of coasters.
All the very best of luck. I can't tell you how much trouble I have had and I do NOT call this success, however it got me by. I still need a lot of help so I can just import from imovie into idvd and burn like everyone else can, and like I have been able to do before tiger!!!
