Unable run web context with jsf 1.2

Hi, I use jsf 1.1.01 and have no problem. When I upgrade jsf libraries for 1.2.01 version, Apache Tomcat write these warnings and ends web thread.
What is missing???

Not able to create a web project with jsf or jsp or struts or spring

Hi,
I am trying to create a dynamic web project with jsf or jstl or struts or spring or any of web options available for a web project, but I am not able to do it.
When I choose any of these options, the wizard asks me to "select an existing jstl/jsf/Spring 2.0 library, or click Add to add a new library." and since it doesn't show any existing libraries there, I clicked on add new library. When I click add, it opens a new dialog box where it has two options :
1. to use spring/jstl/jsf lib from bea web site - when I choose this option, it tries to connect to the bea web site and gives me error that "connect time out". I don't know why it is not able to connect to the internet. I am not able to see the help also. There it gives error "The requested URL could not be retrieved".
2. to use libraries from an existing spring installation - I provide the path of a directory where spring lib are, but then it gives me error that this is not a valid installation.
On another machine, I am able to see the help contents, but still not able to get these libraries from the bea site.
Please help.

The issue you are facing has been addressed and will be part of the next release. For the current release, please follow the steps listed below.
Send an email to [email protected] with details on specific facets you are trying to enable on your project.
You will be provided with a url where you can download the required jars and details on how to manually add the jars to the workspace which will prevent the download on demand scenario.

Tomcat web context with j2ee server

Can anyone tell me how to add a web context to tomcat when it is running with j2ee server, since it no longer reads the ./conf/server.xml file.

Sun's J2sdkee1.3 is built on tomcat server. When tomcat is started up by j2sdkee it doesn't load (or ignores) the ./conf/server.xml file where should be defined the web context used by tomcat, like:

trusted="true" >
</Context>
And I cannot find a way to add a context which has a different document base as the one defined in the ./config/web.properties

Running web forms6 with designer Vs IE5

Hi every one
i am running forms 6 with oracle 8.0.5 and OAS 4.0.7 on windows
NT 4.0 with SP3.
when i try to run froms6 on the web through the designer for
testing purpose some of the forms run with out a problem and some
of them with errors specially when trying to exit from the forms
give exception error.
while when i run the same forms through the IE5 there is no error
and they run fine.
what could be cause can some one explain is it the some JDK mis
match or what.

If you are trying to deploy forms on 3-tier, you will need two things.
1. you will have to configure your formsweb.cfg for running your applications.
2. if you want to deploy forms using Internet Explorer you will have to modify your base html file accordingly. If you are using Netscape Navigator, you will need Oracle jinitiator.

Actually I found the same code for integrating JavaFX with JSF, which you have linked, but I show it afterwards. Anyways, thanks for your kind support.
The other interesting thing I found is, interaction between JavaFX and JSF.
You can interact between JavaFX and JSF like the following way.
You just give the id in the script in which you have defined the parameters of applet to run in browser with JSF or any language like this;

Unable to run a report with chart

I have report rel.6 NT version installed on Windows 2000.Now I want to run my report with a chart.But after I finished the chart
wizard and try to run it,it gives me error.The error says that it is unable to create a PL/SQL Development Environment context.I also try it on Report Runtime
and it gives me error "REP-0074:Failure to run another product using SSL".Anybody out there can help me.Is it because of my operating system or ????

I tried for the basic applications but instead got this error:

Please help me out with working sample codes that connects MS SQL server 2005 DB with JSF!!

How do I change the context-root of a web app with a deployment plan?

I've been trying to figure this out for several hours.
I'm deploying a .ear file which sets the context root for the single web application it deploys in its application.xml deployment descriptor:

I don't understand what this means. I'm not deploying my application as a library.
Does anyone know how to change the context-root for an application?

It means application server know that my full web access page is with '*servlet/BrowserServlet*' because its adding it in both the cases.
What I want is a constant URL whcih does not change?

I've fixed the problem!
I think the problem was in the way I was linking to the libraries. I ended up deleting all my hand made ANT settings and instead exporting the settings from my Flash Builder project, and just using those.

Scoping out Sharepoint - Is it possible to run web apps in the same domain as a web page? (ie not with references to a cloud)

From what I understand, with sharepoint it is possible to run web apps on the server that don't need to be referenced via the cloud, ie in contrast to SkyDrive.
If so, would it be possible to create a web site on the share point server that embeds say a word web app in a page, all done in the one server, on the same domain?

First Office Web Apps and SharePoint can't be installed in one server as it's not supported. So you need at least two servers - one for SharePoint and another for Office Web Apps. About 'word web app', As far as I know you can run word app/excel app runs
in either word/excel but not inside Office Web Apps.

What does the product developer say about system requirements? If it needs to be run from within Internet Explorer then you'll need to find a way to run Internet Explorer. Boot Camp or VM installation of Windows would be two options.
But first check the product requirements.
