Using DMZ to connect to internet

I am having problems accessing the internet when changing route from using outside to DMZ to access the internet. Reason for this change is because I have a FTP-server in DMZ that also needs access to the internet through DMZ.
The main server has two NICs and so I am routing default gw through the inside. I have tried to change default gateway to the DMZ-nic, but then I loose connection to the internet...
The ftp-server is a virtual maching running on the main server.
I have attached two nics to the FTP-server, but I can remove the last one.
I have a base license.
The configuration is as following:
# show run

2) OK - I'll consider that
3) All virtual servers (I believe there are 5 virtual linux servers or so in inside zone) need internet access + any laptops (currently three) that are in the network as well. So all machines in inside + dmz shall have outside access. In DMZ I have an FTP and a Web-server.
The www and the ftp would need to send in and out, right?
4) OK. I'll remove that one and report back.

    Hi,
Is it possible to connect to internet using proxy inside adobe air app? Before connecting to internet,I have to configure first the proxy credentials and the adobe air now will connect to internet?any idea?
not to configure the OS proxy.
    any code sample?
    thanks a lot.

You can instruct Java to use, say, a HTTP proxy.

I have to use the "network diagnostic" (or whatever it's called, I'm french canadian sorry :P) everytime I start my computer and I want to use internet.
My modem have wi-fi capability, theres no problem with this. Airport works fine, it's detects correctly the network I'm using with my other computer (connected via ethernet)
The problem is that I always have to enter manually my WEP key in order to acess the internet, and I'll also have to go trough all the steps of the diagnostic application.
I still need some practice to use wireless technology, but I rely on your help to solve this problem.
    Thanks for your help!
    Bye bye.

  • Use GPRS to connect to internet - WHERE DO I ENTER APN number

    Hi,
i am in India, trying to use my GPRS phone (Nokia 9300) to connect to the internet via blue tooth.
My service provider says that he needs to know where I can enter the APN number details, without which I cannot connect.
    Please help

which service provider are your using Airtel/Hutch...
To connect to GPRS first make sure all your Handset settings are perfect (you can browse internet from your handset).
Turn on on the bluetooth on your handset, make it discoverable. Open the bluetooth item on the top bar (i dont know what is it called) on the Mac. Turn on bluetooth.. select set up bluetooth device from the same menu.. follow the instructions and you are done...
If you still have problems call your Mac dealer or AppleCare and they can sort this out for you... or leave your number here can i can call you...

  • Using airtunes without connecting to internet through airport express

I am currently using cablevision and a modem, wirelessly, working fine.
have extensive music library, want to play it through home stereo wirelessly.
acquired airport express. computer finds it fine, but cannot skip using A Express as wireless connection
    help?

you should be able to launch Airport Utility and setup your Express from scratch. The process is fairly self explanatory for me however, I found this tutorial that is pretty good and should get you through this ok, it's got screen shots to use as reference and covers the setup you are attempting to achieve.

  • How do I connect to internet with vz access manager for iphone 4S?

I have VZ Access Manager on my laptop and want to use it to connect to internet on my new iphone 4S.  How do I do this?

If you can set up an Ad Hoc wireless network from your laptop, you could use it that way. Once again VZ Access Manager will not enter into the sharing part.
Plug these search terms into Google:
set up an ad hoc network
    You'll find lots of instructions.
    Best of luck.

  • Airport Express for Airplay Audio Stream while still using iPhone's 3G/4G Internet?

I'd like to use an Airport Express to stream music from my iphone via Airplay (AMP > Analog RCA's > Minijack Splitter > Airport Express). Here's the rub: I wont have an internet connection where this setup is located at.
Basic networking would make it impossible to get online with thise becaue the iphone would be looking at the Airport as the default gate.
I understand that you can setup the network on your phone to be a static IP, subnet, and leave the default gateway blank. This should allow the phone to see the Airport/Airplay and still utilize the 3G/LTE of the AT&T service. Can anyone confirm this?  UPDATED, THIS PIECE WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
If that works, that's great, I could stop there, but I'd like to take it a step further to make it easier to use by someone other than a network engineer. Can you set the DHCP server on the Express to give out a Blank default gateway, or will you need to configure the network on each device you connect to it?
The last piece isn't a deal killer for me, but it would make it super easy to use for others.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!
    Ryan

Hello TKSF78. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
I want to use my Airport Express to stream my music to my stereo so I can listen to music while still using the WIFI connection for internet.
In order to do both simultaneously, you just need to reconfigure the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) to join the wireless network created by the other router.
The following is the basic settings to do so:
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > AirPort > Wireless
o Wireless Mode: Join a wireless network
o Wireless Network Name: <enter the Network Name or SSID of the wireless network that you want your AX to join>
o Wireless Security: <select the appropriate security type>
o Wireless Password: <enter the appropriate wireless security password>
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Music
    o Enable AirTunes (checked)

  • Unable to connect to Internet through KRZR - please assist

    Hi folks.
I have paired my KRZR K1 to my Macbook. In order for me to use bluetooth and connect to internet on the Macbook I need to input some info on the Macbook. Through reading he different forums I have inputted the following info:
    Tel #: WAP.CINGULAR
    ACCT Name [email protected]
    Password CINGULAR1
I then try to connect and gives me an Internet Connect error box on my Macbook that says, "A modem error occurred. Please verify your settings and try again."
I have a Media Net plan with unlimited data as part of the plan.
    What am I doing wrong?
Also when I first paired the phone to the Macbook in the final step it asked for a CID but I left it black. Is that my problem? Was I supposed to put something in there? Should I re-pair with any other specific information to get this to work?
    Your help is greatly appreciated!
    Jason

    thanks!

  • WIndows 8.1 Direct Access Client Needs to approve external wifi use before it connects - proxy not responding

Ok So I have windows 8.1 with Direct Access Client and it works fine when I am able to check and uncheck proxy settings - which is a bit of a pain and seems unnecessary (I hope). If I take the laptop to a Starbucks I get the error that the proxy server is
not responding so it never redirects for me to "accept" the rules.
If I uncheck my proxy settings it then redirects and connects to their internet wifi and off I go - DA connects and all is well.
I am using a GPO to configure the proxy settings as shown (all options are greyed out for the users)

    Hi,
Your problem is a classic one when using that kind of proxy settings, unfortunately.
To solve this without the need of user interaction, there are two solutions that will sort this out for you. In your case, if you want to use your corporate connection for internet traffic even over da, I'd opt for alternative 1 or 2 depending on what you are
    trying to achieve.
    1. WPAD (Web Proxy Auto Discovery protocol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Proxy_Autodiscovery_Protocol) - it actually uses the Automatic browser configuration checkbox on your client and looks for the file wpad.dat on a specific web server that you Pointout
with either dns-record called wpad or DHCP option 252.
    2. Auto configuration script (pac script http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_auto-config) - uses the same kind of file as above. The difference is that you get the possiblity, like you want in your scenario to target what users that should get the script.
See this below article for more details on the options you have.

    Hi,
I update my system a few day ago (use systemd to replace rc.d) and I cannot connect internet. I guess my router table is broken, but I cannot find any problem.
I use ping to try some IP. And I find I connect to local machine only.

  • Use different network connections

Is there anyway to use Ethernet to connect to Internet for Safari and at the same time have Mac Mail send and receive messages through an wireless internet connection?

I'm trying to do something very similar to this, could this possibly work?
I'm on a large corporate network (no control as to who and what happens on that one, very much locked down) which we connect to via ethernet on our macs in our office. We have an internal webserver that runs our database software that we need to access via web. The corporate network is in the address range 172.xx.xx.xx and the internal network is on 192.168.0.x . I've currently connected the macs to this network via airport and as you say if you put airport at the top of the list you can get to that network but not the other, but swap them round and the opposite is true.
However, with the ethernet at the top i can still ping the internal server, just not connected to it in safari...
Is there not anyway of doing this, even if it requires using firefox or something for the internal network and safari for the external??
My only other option is to connect the two networks together but that would mean putting the wireless access point on the corporate network (we need to access this network wirelessly on a laptop roaming) which i think the men in suits would complain a lot at.
    :o/
    Thanks

  • Computer wont connect to internet

I have a powerbook g4 titanium with mac os 10.4.11. Using Airport to connect to internet.
The computer won't connect to any webpages or software update. Other network access seems fine. I did a archive and install and it seem to work until I updated quicktime or to 10.4.11. Not sure if either was the issue.
I have booted into safe mode verified the disk and repaired permissions. I have also erased and created new locations.
On every webpage I get: "Request Timeout the server timed out while waiting for the browser's request".

    Well, one more thought...
    Go to System Preferences
    Click Network
    Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point and Remove your access point with the minus button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.
    Reboot
Go back to the “By default, join:” page and click the plus this time to add your access point. Enter the correct password, save, reboot.

  • How do I use Mail on a shared internet connection

    Hello All;
I've tried searching the forums, and either I'm using the wrong search terms, or this question is so basic no one else is having problems....
My wife and will sometimes be in a hotel that has an ethernet cable for internet access. We both travel with our laptops (sad life, I know...) and use the internet. We usually plug the cable into her MBP and then I set up internet sharing to my iBook. Which works fine, except that Mail can't make a connection and I have to check my email accounts by going to the browser interface for each. I have several, which is why I set Mail up to work with them. Not a big problem, but annoying. Finally, sitting here in Ottawa I decided to do something about it since I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit - its something like -20C this morning.
Is it as simple as turning off the MBP's firewall? Or adjusting it? I don't like playing with the security settings, if I don't have to, for her MBP because it is vital for her work.
We are both using 10.4.11, and as stated above - she has a Mac Book Pro and I'm using a G4 iBook.
    Thanks in advance....
Brrrrr - its cold out there.....

    Hello Seth.
I believe you must go to System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall on the computer that shares its Internet connection and enable the ports that Mail needs, i.e. click on the New button, choose Other from the Port Name popup menu to name that setting however you wish, and specify the port number(s) there.
Also, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list on each computer.

  • Need help in using my GPRS connection to surf internet on macbook

    Hi,
I have a Nokia 9300 communicator, with a GPRS conenction. I want to use it to connect to the internet on my macbook. Since I am in India, my service provider, not having sufficient knowledge of the mac, cannot help me with configuring it.
    can anyone hwlp me here?
i want to connect using bluetooth. Also, although I can connect the phone to the macbook via bluetooth and can trabsfer files to & fro, I cannot syncronise my phone book.
How do I go about doing that??
    Thanks in advance.

Hi Brian, Thanks for that. I went to meet my service provider (Hutch) yesterday. What he told me is very close to yours. Here it is
First, when we have to make the new connection, there are 2 options - dial up or GPRS line. We tried GPRS line and set up as follows:
    Username: Blank
    Password:Blank
Number to dial 99**# or *99#
Here, the guy wants to know where we can enter the APN number - & I have no clue.
Second, using these settings, I got connected, the MB says it was authenticating user and my call also showed the "G" sign, but it went away after a second, giving me an error message - Could not negotiate connection with PPP server.
Just for curiousity sake, this guy tried his cell- a Nokia 6230. & it worked just fine. There was this problem, though, that every few seconds, the connectiion went off, giving the message that the modem had unexpectedly hung -up (& the poor guy's cell would switch off & on again on its own). But this is still distant for me.
I need your help in getting the modem script that you are talking about. I can only see 3 nokia modems- & they are all ir, none of them are for GPRS.
My problem is that there is no store or anything like that in India. I just bought the MB when in London recently, as it looked nice. Not very sure what to do now.
    Awaiting more help
