Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.

Using JSPs and passing data from 1 page to the next

I have an application which has a number of JSPs.
JSP1 has some fields and buttons.
One of these buttons is called 'Print'. On pressing this control
is passed to the next JSP2. In this JSP the data is displayed
from the database. It is displayed via some TABLE tags, thus giving
multiple records displayed. There is also a check box against each record and having checked this box - the user can then then press another button which takes the user to another JSP - JSP3 - which gives the user a list of options for printing. They then can do 1 of 2 things - print a report or print some labels.
I have got this to work where there is only 1 record displayed in JSP2.
But where more than one record is displayed in JSP2 - JSP3 does NOT
know how to handle this and says the variable is undefined.
The code I am using to reference the JSP2 variable is
var batchNumber = top.opener.document.printTranscript.batchNumber2.value;
Any help or ideas would really be appreciated.

If you are using JavaScript, try putting data in a Hidden field and perform request.getParameter in the next page, Place data in a Delimited fashion when placing into the hidden field, on the next page split these values and place where you want them to be.

You can't do this using the ADF, Tree Binding used by JHeadstart.
However, If you have a recursive relationship (for example managerid) you can get a tree what you want as follows:
- create one root ViewObject that returns the top-level employees without a manager by setting the where clause to managerid=null
- create a second ViewObject that simply queries all employees
- Create a ViewLink between the two view objects, and create a nested VO usage in the app module for the second view object
- Create corresponding nested group in the application definition file and set the layout style to "tree-form" on both groups.

Can I use Thunderbird for emailing photos from iPhoto?

Under +Preferences>General>Email photos using+: gives me two options. One Mail and another Entourage. Now I am using Thunderbird for my mailing needs. How can I make iPhoto to use Thunderbird instead of Mail? Thanks!

In the Preferences to Mail there's an option to "Check for New Messages" and if you select "Manually" I think that will do what you want. However, as it's more a Mail query than an iPhoto one I would pop it on the Mail forum for your version of the OS.
Of course there are other ways to get photos to an email client. Does Thunderbird have a Media browser? You can access your Library from one - or make one in Automator which takes a couple of seconds. Or you can access your Library from every Open... or Attach... dialogue in the OS.

If the official Apple support is through the carriers, you should go in and tell them you would like to do an out of warranty exchange.
According to the support links from the Saudi Arabia Apple web site, the carriers are responsible for iPhone support (as KiltedTim already said) but the web page indicates to contact your carrier for out of warranty (ie. for fee) options.
In case you've never heard of it, the out of warranty exchange program allows for the exchange of damaged devices that are not covered under warranty for factory refurbished units, at a fee (e.g. in the USA, that fee for an iPhone 5 would be $229).
You might want to ask specifically about that program - maybe the person you spoke with about support was simply not aware of that program since they do not work for Apple directly.

If you are moving files in two libraries in different sites, then the error will occur and it is by design that there are limitations on the DAV move commands that the DAV client is respecting.

If you are moving files in the same library, I recommend you to use Wireshark to reveal the error message and enable IIS
Trace Logging for Failed Requests to examine the IIS log file for troubleshooting.

When I try to sync photos or music, I followed all the steps, picked onle folder, not the whole library. When I hit "apply" I got this message:
Are you sure you want to remove 30 apps from iPad. This will delete these apps and their data from the iPad" What can I change to just download the photos and not interfere with the apps?
(By the way, the memory is not even one quarter full)

I have the same problem. I updated my mac to 10.5, which then had me update apps like itunes, etc. then it wanted me to sync my purchased music to my ipad before i updated the ipad...which worked ok. then when i was syncing the photos i got the same message when i hit "apply" asking are you sure you want to delete the 12 apps from the ipad - clicked "no" and brought me back to the original screen. Got the same message when trying to move them from the hard drive to the ipad. WHat is going on and how do I correct this? Thanks

We are moving our virtualization platform from Citrix's XenServer to Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2. As part of this project I need to migrate, in one form or another, some Debian Linux servers over to Hyper-V. I have successfully built a Debian-based
server on our new Hyper-V platform and I'm beginning to test it.
Debian 6 (Squeeze) uses the 2.6.32 kernel which includes the Hyper-V synthetic drivers, but it is not considered a supported operating guest operating system by Microsoft. I'm a little hesitant in trying to use them unless there's a compelling reason to,
as other folks have had trouble
What advantages do the Hyper-V synthetic drivers offer over the emulated drivers?
For those of you who have experience with the Xen hypervisor, is using the synthetic drivers analgous to para-virtualizing a guest operating system?
Are then any noteworthy dangers or drawbacks of NOT using the synthetic drivers?
Why should I bother to either a) deal with the reported instability of the Hyper-V drivers currently in the kernel, b) try to build a newer kernel, or c) try to make the Virtual Machine Additions work with a distribution
they weren't designed for when everything seems to "just work"?

The synthetic drivers 'talk' more directly to the actual hardware, bypassing most of the hypervisor (for common data operations). This dramatically cuts down on the hypervisor overhead related to most network activity.
If your server doesn't communicate much on the network, or if your hardware is well undercommitted, you should be fine with the emulated drivers. There's definitely a performance penalty for doing this however.

If you want both iPad to be identical .....
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases.
After it finishes transferring all your apps to the Mac, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
Sync the iPad and eject it when it is complete.
Quit iTunes
Connect the second iPad.
Launch iTunes
Right click on the iPad name on the left side and select - Restore from Backup
Select the backup of the first iPad and let it restore from that backup.
When it finishes restoring - sync with iTunes to transfer all of the apps and any other content that you want onto that iPad
Eject the iPad when you are done.

I bought the phone when it came out last October. The connection did not work at first, then started without warning in December. It worked perfectly for 2 months then stopped again when IOS 6.1.2 was Installed.

I have forwarded these questions about the version of Exchange server that is being used and whether Microsoft host the mai themselves to the IT Dept but I will not get a reply from them until tomorrow.
In the meantime I have also tried:
Deleting and re-creating the account AGAIN!
And re-setting the phone (recommended as a solution to a similar problem with an iPad in another forum.
But please remember that:
The phone would not connect for 2 months after I bought it
Then started working unexpectedly in December
Then stopped working again when IOS 6.1.2. was installed
Also why am I the only person affected by this when colleagues with iPhone 3s and 4s who use the same mail system are not (I am still trying to find one with an iPhone V to see if their's works).
Like I said I think that there must be a fault, either with my own phone or with iPhone Vs in general.
