WHAT is "Hibernate this Group" and why can't I find ANY information on this and HOW to get accidentally hibernated groups BACK???

This is REALLY getting me frustrated! What is "Hibernate this Group"? Why can't I find any information on it? Why can't I get groups back that have been accidentally "hibernated"? There is a "moon" symbol on my upper right screen that says "Hibernate this Group" and I don't know what it does or how it works! AND I accidentally "hibernated" a group when I clicked on it too long and a bunch of "zzz's" showed up and then it was GONE! How do I get it all back? And why isn't there a tech center I can contact to help with this???

This sounds like some third-party app or extension, because this functionality is not in Firefox by default. [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] should remove it

Have you been syncing the iPod with iTunes? Then you just connect the iPad and set it up through iTunes and sync any content you want onto it.

In terms of games/apps. If they are not universal (you will see a + symbol next to them) or made for iPad (you would see an HD in the name, usually) then they won't look good on an iPad as those apps will open in a iPod sized window, giving you the option to enlarge.

Apple haven't yet signed agreements with yell.com and similar local information services here in the UK or in europe. The rumor is that in the UK and others, will get it sometime towards the beginning of the year.

I'm trying to build an online catalog with PHP and MySQL, using Dreamweaver.
I have a problem with filters... here it is:
I have some variables... let's take 1 for ex. $manuf in which I want to store the manufacturer (for the notebooks table, like "acer", "alienware" etc.).
I figured I'll do the filters one of 2 ways:
1. through dropdown list/menu and I've populated the list with the values "acer" "alienware" etc.
and in "OnChange" event of the list/menu I want to assign the selected value of the list/menu to the variable $manuf.
HOW do I do this??? I can't find anything like a property list1.selected for ex. to simply write <?php $manuf = list1.selected ?>
where list1. should be the name of the list/menu (right?...)
or
2. it looks nicer with a SpryMenu.
So I have a Spry Menu like "Manufacturer" etc.
And Submenus like "Acer", "Alienware" etc.
now... when I click the submenu labeled "Acer" I can just do the php $prod = "acer" BUT HOW can I also change the menu's caption to say "Manufacturer - Acer" instead of just "Manufacturer" ??? ('cause I want people to see what filter is applied). Again, I can't find any property like sprymenu1.caption or something like that.
P.S.
regarding the list/menu... I can populate it dynamically, from the database... with the values from $manuf field. BUT they repeat, because there are more than 1 "acer" for ex. in the catalog (database). HOW can I dynamically populate the list from the database, without repeating any value???

For the time being I think I am going to start with just problem 1 because I think as I go through explaining this to you, the answer to #2 will become more clear.
Javascript is like Actionscript (Flash) and can be executed in runtime meaning that if you execute javascript on a page you can see the results immediately. PHP, on the other hand, is a preprocessor meaning that the code is executed prior to a page load and cannot be executed in runtime like Javascript can. Your mix of the two for this instance is really not needed unless you want the form to act dynamically. Because of this there are 2 ways to approach the situation:
1. If you want to stick with PHP, when you submit the form, the values of the stored will be stored in the global variables ( http://php.net/manual/en/reserved.variables.php ). Based on the method of your form will depend on how you extract the data. For instance, if your form method is "POST" and the drop-down field named "manuf" has a value of "Dell", then when you submit the form, the variable $_POST['manuf'] will be equal to "Dell".
With this example the form has to be submitted because Javascript cannot send commands to PHP once the page has been loaded because the PHP has already been executed.
2. This way is a lot more complicated so I won't go into much detail. But, the Spry Dataset functions are intended for updating data live without the need to submit a form forcing a page refresh for the PHP to execute. What happens with the Spry dataset is that you store all the information in mySQL and then the Spry Dataset will convert this into XML for you. PHP will be used to run the initial query of your database and depending on the size of your database can be used to filter the data so you do not end up with an extremely large XML file slowing your page load time. I do have a basic example I did awhile back located here ( http://www.exitplaystation.com/warhawk/trophies.php ). That used a static XML document at the time. I do have a more dynamic example. It was actually done for work, but I might be able to modify it with bogus information and upload it to show you a dynamic version. In the meantime if you want to see a professional example of this in action:

FoxSports uses the Spry Dataset sort functions and some extra code for their live NFL draft system. Refreshes automatically and sorts from the top drop-down menus. So as you can see all of their data is loaded from their database connection and refreshed in real-time. This is a very complicated example and requires modifications to the Spry code, but it shows the power of what Spry can do.
Let me know which way you would prefer to go with this. Personally I would recommend #1 for starters until you get going and feel more comfortable with PHP and Javascript. Also if you give more a little more detail on your code I could help you implement it if you are having difficulty understanding.

i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

What is AirPlay? And why can't I find it?

I have seen the adds for AirPlay but can't find out anything about it. Help?

AirPlay consists of a couple of different parts: device discovery, and streaming media. In order for you to use AirPlay, you need an Apple device to share the media, and another device that supports AirPlay and will stream content from the Apple device. On the Apple device, the icons/buttons for AirPlay only appear if the device is connected to a network that contains another device capable of receiving the content.
The way it works is that the Apple device sends out a broadcast on the network it is connected to and essentially asks: "everyone that supports AirPlay, tell me your network address". Devices that recognize the request chime in with "I'm at address X and I can play music". The Apple device then keeps a list of AirPlay capable devices and when an app can send something over AirPlay, it sends a message "Hey device at X, here's some content" and X pulls the content from the Apple device and plays it.
There are a number of wireless speakers, stereos, and similar devices that do AirPlay audio. At the moment, though, I think only Apple products (like Apple TV) handle video.
The key, of course, is that you minimally need two devices for AirPlay: on that knows how to send the content, and one that knows how to receive it. If you don't have both, Apple software will not even show the icon/button for the feature (because you can't possibly use it).

Why can't I find any matches ?

My first query select PONumber and itemNO from table1 based
on the document number entered in the form.

What is happending is that the PONumber matches but the
itemNo does not match. That is why I rtrim in the sql in the first
query and trim in the where clause in this query but it still does
not find a match. Both items are defiend as nvarchar 5 in the sql
tables. I even used cfoutput to show the len and it is 5, so there
are no blank spaces, yet it still will not find a match, and I know
there are matches.
Any anybody tell me what is wrong and/or what to look for
?

Can you pull out the raw data from the OpenPO table on the
Item col for the record you want? Perhaps by altering query2:

I realize this might bring back several records but it could
be helpful to see what the DB has versus what you're comparing.

Hi LE and JMo, I was chasing this down myself. It looks like this plugin is used for ALF - Application Level Firewall. ... like the System Preferences/security setting/firewall possibly.
Not sure if this is the resolution you want, however.. you lads can chase it further if you like and post back.
If you browse quickview /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/com.apple.alf.plist you will notice structure and defs in there for many of the usual FILE SHARING protocols, and some domains and protocols...
I chased this down to for the purposes resovling the origin of the system.log message "May 16 09:08:15 rendernode-02.local UserEventAgent[387]: Failed to copy info dictionary for bundle /System/Library/UserEventPlugins/alfUIplugin.plugin" .This message appears on all our Macs
I'll leave it with you. It looks harmless at this stage. I'll let you know should I pursue it further in earnest

What is error -1 , and why can't I run any daq vi's

I want to use my LAB-PC+ card for
data acquisition on a win 3.1 system with labview 3.0.1. We are using NiDaq 4.6.1.
Checking the card with WDAQCONF
shows it passes the tests and can read
voltages without error.
However when trying to use the DAQ
vi's , Labview either gives error -1, error -10240, or crashes. Why would this be?

the reason you are able to configure and test your Lab-PC+ is because you are using ni-daq 4.6.1, a driver version that does support your daq board. However, labview 3.0.1 does not work with ni-daq 4.6.1. That is why you are getting warning -10240 which occurs when the driver interface can either not locate or open the driver. Warning -1 also comes up when there is a communication issue, again in your case its due to the incompatibility of your driver version with labview 3.0.1.
You need labview 3.1.x in order to be able to use it with ni-daq 4.6.1. I would actually highly recommend that you upgrade your labview version to our latest version 6. That way you can use your card on a newer windows machine (i.e. win 9x, 2000 or NT) along with our newer ni-daq driv

Why do my photos on my computer take up 5.5 GB but syncing them to my iPod Touch they take up around 15 GB, and why can I only select one folder to sync, and not multiple folders?

I have wiped the iPod a few times and tried from different computers. All the small things get more frustrating every day with apple.

The Camera roll, on the iPod Touch, is where photos taken by the iPod (if it has a camera), screenshots and downloaded pictures are stored. Since they have "originated" on the iPod they are not on your computer - yet. So the total size of the photos on your iPod (in your case 15GB) will be made up of photos you have synced from your computer (5.5GB) and the Camera Roll of 9.5GB.
In the Photos App, notice the line named Photo Library (I mentioned it in my previous post). That folder contains all the photos synced form your computer. If there is an extra line above the Photo Library, named Saved Photos, this is the Camera Roll and it is where those screenshots, downloaded pictures and camera shots are listed.

My method is; when the iPod is connected to iTunes, look in My Computer for an extra drive (it should show an iPod icon) and copy them from there to a folder on my computer. If I want them on your iPod, I paste them into one of the folders I intend to use for Syncing with the iPod. Once they have been successfully saved, I can go back the My Computer/the iPod and delete them from the Camera Roll.
