I was having the exact same problem while browsing some sites (Google news, Google image search, Youtube).
It was caused by the "Screenshot Pimp" extension. I uninstalled it and all is OK now.
It looks like this extension packs a lot of "generic" code that is not used by the extension but could be used by other extensions from the same publisher (Mediapimp).
So if you have this extension try removing it (not just disabling it). If you don't, look for other extensions like viddownloader, Youtube downloader, Video downloader, Mediapimp, etc. and remove them one by one until your browser is back to normal. -

Time machine is not working under "Applications". I get this message: You can’t open the application “Time Machine” because it may be damaged or incomplete. What do I do?
Time machine under system preferences lets me setup time capsule. But backup fails because "Volume is in use" Help please!It does sound like you have a corrupted install.
The volume in use error is something we see all the time.

Try resetting your proxy server. Go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Settings and select one. I must do this every time I restart Firefox -- but at least after that, I'm okay until the next restart.

iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

when i try to open the iPhoto app, i getting a message "you can't open the application because it is not supported on this type of mac"
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -

It wasn't the case before the upgrade to v 9.2 (Iphoto 11) yesterday.
The previous solution preferences - advanced - "select a store" (last option) doesn't solve it anymore.

Firefox will not show links to flv files. I get the error message for each flv file: "File not found. Firefox can't find the file at http:// (path) .flv." Any mov and swf files in this same path will show. I can see the videos in Safari so the paths are correct.
Is this a webpage that contains a link to a flv file? Please post a link to the page and tell us which link(s) are the problem flv files or else post a link to the .flv file itself.

Depending on how you have Firefox set up, clicking on a FLV File link will either save the FLV file to your computer or Firefox may open it automatically in an external application right after downloading (Firefox may ask you first). I was trying to customize my page but then Firefox became completely unavailable. It only gives this message, along with 'trouble finding page': Firefox can't find the file at place:sort=8&maxResults=10. I tried rebooting and then reinstalling Firefox but the same message recurs. I can only get to the web now by using Internet Explorer which I don't like. But I may have to switch to it anyway.

I've made sure a dozen times that my home page is set correctly, and when I hit the home button next to the search bar it works and takes me right to google BUT whenever i open a new tab i get the error that my page cannot load and the web url that it keeps trying to remember is in the error message:
