Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 8,  for the simple reason it was
created much before it and Adobe could not participate the changes to the
OS that Microsoft implemented many years later on. You need to buy the
    current version for compatibility.

  • Why can't I create new version in iTunes 11?

    I have iTunes 11.0.2.26.
I just bought two HD movies from the iTunes store.  I have a 160 GB iPod Classic, and I want to upload the movies to my iPod.  I know you ahve to go to File>Create New Version>Create iPod or iPhone Version, but those options are grayed out on my computer.  I have already done this once with iTunes 10 and a different movie, but now iTunes will not let me do it.  Does anybody know why and what I need to do to be able to convert this?  Thanks in advance.

Found the answer at the link below.  This is the dumbest process, but at least you can redownlad your movies in SD in order to sync them on your phone or iPod.  Hope this helps someone else...

  • Why can't I create a ringtone from my music on iTunes?

I have just been looking at the instructions for making a 30 second ring tone from my music collection. The option doesn't seem available to me and the advice states
'Ringtones are only available for purchase from the U.S. iTunes Store.'
So if I'm based in the Uk how can I do this?
    Thanks

Creating a ringtone is very easy using iTunes 8.x.
It has to be a non-drm song though.
    1) In iTunes click the song you want to make a ring tone from.
    2) Then in iTunes, go to File -->Get Info.
    3) In that now open screen go to Options. In that window, define the Start Time and the End Time by entering both in the boxes (that should automatically check the check box as well). Click OK.
    4) Go to Advanced -->Create AAC Version. That will then create a duplicate version of the song, but it will only be of the length you set in Step 3.
    5) Highlight that song title, then drag it do your desktop.
    6) Edit the song title file extension to change the last letter to "r". You'll be prompted for the "Are you sure...." check, select OK.
    7) IMPORTANT -- now with the duplicated song highlighted in your iTunes, go to Edit -->Delete to remove that short version. You MUST do this or iTunes will not let you add the ring tone you placed on your desktop to your library.
    8) Drag from the desktop your ringtone to iTunes Library (left hand in frame menu). That will add it to your Ring Tones library (and/or create a Ring Tones tab if for some reason you didn't already have one).
    9) Sync your iPhone as usual, ensuring in your synch preferences you have authorized the synching of ring tones.
    10) IMPORTANT -- now go back to the original song track, go back to File -->Get Info and ensure that you deselect the two boxes checked in Step 3 (else you'll limit your next play of this track to 15 or 30 or whatever seconds!).
That's all there is to it! It is very easy to do and once you've done it a couple of times you'll be creating a ring tone in about 30 seconds.

  • Why can't I move songs from my old iPod to my new iTunes acct and why can't i move new songs from my new iTunes acct to my old iPod?? Help please!

I forgot my user name and password to my old iTunes account.  Apple was unable to assist me in recovering the old account so I opened a new iTunes account.  I connected my old iPod to my new iTunes account but cannot move music from the iPod to the new iTunes account, and vice versa... if anyone can help me - I would really appreciate it!  Thank you!

Was all of the music that is on your older iPod purchased with that older content or is some of it also other content imported originally from outside of iTunes?  You won't be able to purchased content from the older account to your new iTunes library unless you can remember/regain access to that older account.
For other content, you can transfer it using one of the many suggestions mentioned in this older post by another forum member Zevoneer.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2452022?start=0&tstart=0
As to not being able to sync any new content to your iPod, it's likely because you are trying to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library.  iPods were designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. So your iPod does not recognize this new library as the one it was originally set up with.  In order to associate the iPod with the new library, you need to restore it to factory settings in iTunes by clicking the Restore button from under the iPod's Summary tab.
Of course you won't want to do this until you have successfully moved all the older content off it into your new library.

  • Why can I not create pdf files from MS Word documents?

I'm using Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.5), and Microsoft Word 2007:  I've noticed just recently that, whenever I try to create a pdf file - from within Microsoft Word - I get a message:  Word has stopped working"....  and then the word program crashes.   Then I get a message that says the adobe add-in isn't working and recommends that I disable it.   This is extremely frustrating!  I've tried going into Acrobat directly to create the pdf, to no avail.  I've tried utilizing the "Repair Acrobat Installation" and that doesn't seem to work either.
The only thing I've noticed which might have caused this problem is I just recently updated Adobe Reader - is there some "conflict" going on between having these two Adobe products installed on the same Computer?

You cd music will not be on icloud.  You will have to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

  • Can not create new page from template

I have been working on a new site for the last couple of

All of the child pages of this template still update when

Any ideas as to what the problem might be.

my guess is that you are opening the .dwt template file and
    doing a "Save
As". That page is not a "child" page of the template.

    dw menu-->File-->New
in the new files dialog box, click the Templates tab
from list in left, click This Site Name
from list in right, pick This Template
make sure x is in box to Update if template changes
    click okay
save file with filename you want to within this local site

  • Why can't I create a response to an email from the Viewer window?

Why can't I create a response to an email from the Viewer window?
When I select an email to respond to in the viewer window and click on the respond arrow that appears just under the header, a new response email opens for a split second then disappears.
I have to actually click on and open the email message in its own screen to be able to then click on the respond arrow and succeed in having Mail open a response email that I can edit - one that remains open.
This seems to be a bug that we need to have squashed.

Do I have to connect the iPad to a computer to make this work? Is the fact that I used another email address to set up my Apple ID years ago causing the problem? A friend of mine just got a new iPod and he was able to set up a me.com account. I am feeling rather stupid. Hope someone here can help.

  • Why can't I create a new version of a photo edited in an external application, without Aperture making a new copy of the newly created Tiff?

When Aperture creates a new version from a RAW file, no new master file is created.  This makes total sense and I understand why.
When I edit a photo in an external editor (Photoshop CS6) from within Aperture, Aperture creates a Tiff file to edit in Photoshop and saves it along with the RAW original once I have finished editing it in Photoshop.  I understand why this is necessary too.  So far so good.
But if I then ask Aperture to create a new version from the newly created image edited via Photoshop, it creates another new Tiff.  I can't see why this is necessary.  Aperture should be able to apply further new Aperture edits to the newly created Tiff in the same way that it creates new versions from a RAW file without duplicating the master - by remembering any new 'recipe' changes applied to the Tiff.  It only needs to remember the edits made as the Tiff already now exists.
Can I stop it creating repeat Tiff files each time I create a new version from the Photoshoped photos?
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hello Kirby,
I clicked on the 'Show in Finder' and it revealed a new file called IMG_0961 (1) which goes with the original IMG_0961.CR2 and the edited new tiff created for Photoshop which was called IMG_0961.tiff
I noticed also that a separate version I had previously created using Canon's DPP stand alone software and titled by me IMG_0961 (DPP).TIF (same thing but from a different original) does not form a new master file when I create a new version of that one.  I've tried this with a few images but when the original is edited in Photoshop via Aperture a second version of the Tiff is created for the 1st version of the image when I create a new version fo it.
