XML Photo Album to play automatically

Hi,
I've come across a great tutorial and source files for the
xml photo album:

How would I implement the slideshow to play automatically and
continuously? Also, adding some spacing in between the thumbnails
would be nice as well.

Are you sending an album or a slideshow? I don't think music can be assigned to an album.
Have you tried asking this question in the iPhoto forum (assuming it's an iPhoto question) or the AppleTV forum (if it's more a question about the AppleTV?).

Help - my photo xml photo album's on fire...:)

Hello there,
I have recently completed the tutorial on how to make a
slideshow with thumbnails. It is found here:

Well I can get it to work, however, when I try to load the
swf file into another fla, the paths are messed up. Sadly, I am not
good with code, so I am wondering what lines would need to be fixed
in order to make this code work?
First I will tell you how I've structured the site.
- I have a swf file that basically loads a bunch of swf files
into their appropriate x y coordinates.
- I have buttons that when selected open up external swf
files into a movie clip called siteContentPage_mc . (this is where
the site's content is loaded)
- On one page that is called portfolio, I want to have my
slideshow photogallery page load. I am wondering how I would have
to modify the code to make it work in this setting. I know it has
to do with paths, but I am not sure which one's need changing.
Currently the xml file resides in the folder with the swf files.
Here is the code at this time.

here is 2 situation always happen when a swf loaded into
another.
1) root of loaded swf point to root of main movie.
Attach script below to 1st frame of your loaded gallery swf.
this._lockroot = true;
2) if both of your swf located in different directory, the
xml & picture path should be relative to the main swf.

Photo Album Won't Play on Internet

CS4 created a photo album, it plays fine in my browser from my hard drive, from our local server and from a memory stick. I have uploaded the entire site to our internet server but the index.html file is solid black and doesn't run the album. Why?? Help.

Play photo album in front row

Hi,
I am having trouble getting my photo albums to play via front row. I have numerous albums but when i go into them in front row, it just shows up random photos from the album and roll they came from, with none of the album pages showing. The photo roll and the name of the albums is the same ie: roll called sweden, album called sweden, would that be causing a problem, ie: iphoto unsure of which photos to show? They play fine in iphoto, with all of the album pages showing, but not in front row.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am getting a little frusterated!!

Yes, Front Row handles DVDs fine. If Front Row is already open, a new section called DVDs appears after the Mac reads and mounts the disc. If you insert the DVD and let it be read and mounted first the new DVD section will be there when you open Front Row.

Can't select any photos in camera roll or photo album... help!

I have a iphone 3Gs on 4.2.1
If I go to my camera roll or any photo album, I can enter but if I select an image in the camera roll or photo album it just automatically closes and goes back to the home screen. Hard reboot, reboot is still the same.
Any suggestions as to the cause?

I am having the same thing as well. I click the photos app, I try view the photos I have taken, it just closed out of the photos app and goes straight back to the home screen. There is another way to see the photos you have taken. You click on the camera, then you click on the photos on the bottom left corner, it works for me. I can see all the pictures I have taken.
I've been having problems with my camera, whenever I take a picture (with/without flash) my photos turn out black, was wondering if anyone can help us out about this problem.

Is the video within iTunes or just in your movies folder?
If it is not iTunes then ignore the "itunes" portion below.
Remove the following files to the trash (do not empty until you test for function):
~/library/caches
~/library/preferences/com.apple.itunes.plist
~/library/preferences/com.apple.frontrow.plist
- Repair your permissions - > http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh17.html
- Restart your computer again
- Test and see how its working

Can you launch the Editor separately then use:
File >> Open
How did you install? From download or disk?
Have you activated the software? This has changed with PSE12 and requires you to sign-in with your Adobe ID (email address and password)

How to remove other family members photo albums that automatically downloaded to my iphone and are taking up storage on my phone

when I set up my 'new' iphone 4, itunes automatically downloaded to my phone my other family members photos albums. How do I remove them? The labums that I do not want on my phone are taking up storage space on my phone!! I am obviously not tech savvy!!

Automatic update in creating a photo album

wondering: if I need to add/delete photos do I need to create a new
album with the edited folder or is there a way to automatically
update? Thanks in advance for help.

Using the built in photo album creator in DW you will need to
rebuild the
entire album or manually add and remove images and pages.
This involves deleting removed pages, images and thumbnails,
then manually
re setting the links between pages and re-arranging the
thumbnails.
If you used the image counter and you're really anal, you'll
need to edit
that one page at a time as well.
If you plan to do a lot of editing of images, you might want
to consider a
list type photo album like ShowPick from PVII

Recovered Photos album automatically created, but no error messages.

Previously when I opened iPhoto, I received a message (or rather 2 {I believe} duplicate messages) about importing recovered photos. I clicked OK and it created a Recovered Photos album, but its contents were empty. I deleted this album by putting it into iPhoto's Trash. When I reopened iPhoto, I received the message again, but this time it created a "Recovered Photos 2" album.
I quit iPhoto and deleted the Import folder from my iPhoto Library. Now I don't get any messages, but the Recovered Photos (not Recovered Photos 2) album is still there. If I trash it and restart iPhoto, the it is automatically created again.
How can I stop iPhoto from automatically creating the Recovered Photos album? I'm not receiving any error messages or messages whatsoever.

Addendum to all about this question - I am trying to import my original CDs - hangs and does nothing at first track. Trashed the .plist, no help. Reinstalled fresh copy of iTunes - helped - FOR ONE DISK. After that, same problem.

TS2972 When playing a photo album from iPhoto on Appletv it will not play the videos

When playing a photo album from Macbook Pro on Apple tv the videos in the album won't play. Is this fixed in settings?

I don't believe that is possible. It may be best to have those videos stored in iTunes if you wish to home-share/airplay them.

How do I create photo album folders or files ? As it stands, ihave some 500 pics saved but only want to play some of them for a slideshow presentation?

For the Photos app you need to put the photos into different folders on your computer and then sync those folders to the iPad - you need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad. There are third-party apps that you can copy photos to on the iPad which I think might allow you to do slideshows, but I havn't used any of them.

HT201060 Is there a way to be selective about which photos are automatically uploaded to the Family Sharing photo album?

Family Sharing is set up, and "My Photo Stream" and "iCloud Photo Sharing" features are enabled on all devices. However, I would like to limit which photos are shared in the Family Sharing photo album. Here are two scenarios:
I'm shopping for a gift for my daughter at the store, and I see the item I think she'll like. In Messages I want to snap a photo to send to my wife to get her buy-in (authorization), but when I do this, the photo is also automatically uploaded to the Family Sharing album, and my daughter can see it on her iPod Touch until I delete it from iCloud.
On her iPod Touch, my daughter browses images of kittens and cats, cats and kittens (she's 10), and saves many of them to her camera roll to view later. In turn, our Family Sharing photo album is full of random pictures of kittens.
Perhaps all I need to do is turn off "My Photo Stream", to prevent all photos being uploaded to all devices automatically? And in the event I want to share a photo or an event/moment, I can create a Photo Stream on the spot...?

Probably the best solution is to put your daughter on her own iCloud ID (but under your name since she's under-aged). She can continue to use your ID for iTunes store purchases. If you set her up with a separate iCloud ID, then her photo activity and yours will remain separate.
The Family Sharing feature may not be relevant or helpful in this scenario -- as I understand it, Family Sharing is for the sharing of purchases, not iCloud, and only in situations when family members have separate IDs for purchases but want to also share the purchases from a "central ID" (e.g. Parent's ID)

I was having the same problem - Family Calendar not showing up on a device after setup of Family Sharing. Tried lots of stuff but finally powered down and restarted the device and it showed up just fine.

Hi, whilst on holiday my iPhone automatically updated my photo album and duplicated all the pictures. I deleted the duplicate pictures now when I click on the photo it's just a black screen. Any ideas how I can restore my photos?

I deleted one of each as it maxed out my memory. When I went to view the photos I just got a black screen. I have now lost all my
Photos :( if I synch my phone what will happen?

The only way to lose content on the device is restore as "new" from iTunes or "Erase All Content and Settings" from the device.
Start by resetting or restarting the device to see if that rectifies the problem.
