$0.00 invoices coming up as owing?

Hi there,
We use the Unpaid invoices section to chase owing accounts but every $0.00 invoice (for replacements / samples) is showing which is getting annoying as we have been using BC for over a year.
We can't delete the invoice as we need the stock movement and we need a record of it.
But it wont let us apply a $0.00 payment so how can we get rid of the 150 odd $0.00 invoices?
Does anyone have a solution?
Best,
DD

Hi Brad, Yes we do, but that's the problem.
All $0 invoices pop up under "Invoiced and Unpaid" - see image below.
BC thinks that a $0 invoice with no payment means it still has money owing...But you can't apply a payment of $0 to a $0 invoice.

  • Entering value in a field of an invoice coming from R/3

    Hai,
I have a problem here. I am working with data that was loaded long back. I found a discrepancy and I am working on it. As you know, an invoice has Financial document number and invoice number among many other fields. For original invoice there would be a Financial document number and the invoice number field is empty. For the clearing document, coming form R/3, there would be another Financial document number but the invoice number is nothing but the Financial document number of the original invoice. The BW system, as per the logic, now connects the Original and Clearing invoices.
Now my problem is that, in ODS(the data was loded in ODS long back),the clearing document does have an invoice number as usual that is linking it to the original invoice. But the same clearing invoice doesnot have the invoice number field filled in when checked in R/3. I extracted the invoice pair to PSA only and then simulated the update and both the source and target records doesnot have an invoice number for the clearing document. The question thats killing me is how can the invoice loaded long back had an invoice number and how the field is empty when I extract it now?
    Can somebody please help.
    I appreciate any help.
    Thank you.
I have an invoice coming from R/3. The invoice generally has a Financial document number and an invoice number fields among others. I extracted the invoice to PSA. I found that the invoice number field is empty. Is it possible to fill up just that field manually without

    Hi,
Your issue looks quite strange. I believe you should give more information, for instance: which extractor are you using? FI_GL_3? 2LIS_13_VDITM?
Is that a standard scenario? If it is, I suggest you to open a customer message and let SAP have a look.
Otherwise, if field is not being filled but you know where to find it, you could probably overwrite it by programming the extraction...
    Hope it helps,
    David.

Does anyone know where is the customizing point where I make the link between the document type and the invoices coming from SD (standard type RV)?

    Hi
If you have the sales document number VBELN then pass this VBELN in to table VBAK and you can get the sales document type VBAK-AUART.
Now pass the same VBELN to VBAP table here you can get the Profit Center VBAP-PRCTR
For sales Document type description you pass the VBAK-AUART values into table TVAKT  table and get the values for TVAKT-BEZEI is you sales document type description

  • Automatic Payment Program Proposal split same vendor invoices

    Hello,
We are facing some peculiar issue in Automatic Payment Program, when we run the automatic payment program payment proposal split the same vendor invoices into so many differnt proposals instead of consolidated proposal.
Every time it's not happen to same vendor it's dynamically changing to different vendors.
Eg:We have 10 vendor invoices and when we run the payment run 2 invoices is coming together and 3 invoices coming together not 10 same.
I have checked the vendor master data and payment program configuration for payment method for company code there is no tick selected for individual payment.
Could you some body explain me why system is behaving this way.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Satya

    Hello Staya
Just check the line items of your vendor. Some line items may have the payment methods and some line items may not have the payment method. When you do the run in f110 it culbs all the invoices which have the same payment methods together and make the payments. Pls check this and see.
It could be the reason if you have not ticked the individual payments in vendor master.

  • ITALY Localization Question - FI - AR - Invoice Numbering / ODN

We're rolling out ECC 5.0 in Italy, US-based central instance.
We will have Customer Invoices coming from SD, and Customer invoices entered directly in FI-AR (FB70).
Can the invoices coming from the 2 sources (SD and FI) follow the same invoice number sequence, using the ODN functionality (document classes and types)?

    Hello All,
Am facing an issue when implementing the ODN solution for Italy. I cannot replicate the ODN in field BKPF-XBLNR_ALT when posting Invoice via MIRO.
    1. I have Defined a Document Class per VAT Book
    2. I have Assign a Document Class to Document Types (in my example Document Type "RE" to Document class "43". And select "Generate Official Document Number, with date control".
    3. I have mantained Number ranges
    4. I have Assign the Number ranges to Document Class.
    5. In order to transfer the ODN from Billing docs to Accounting docs I have entered the Document Type "RV" at Billing Document Type level.
It all works as expected except for the Accounting documents coming from Logistic Invoice verification - MIRO transaction. Document Type "RE" is used for posting but my field BKPF-XBLNR on Accounting document remains blank.
Is there any additional step am missing?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Modifying the cost center when posting an MM invoice

    Hi All,
my client wants to change the Cost Center assignment field when posting an invoice coming from MM process (PR>PO>SES).   I'm now using transaction MIRO to make some test and I see the field is 'not modifiable'. I tried to see if i could sort it out from trx.OME9 but i am not really sure how and if i am in the right way. Somebody can please give any clear advices for this requirment?      Thanks so much in advance,
    regards
    Livio

    HI,
Just to make sure that there is no confusion here, the changeable indicators DO work if you have a valuated receipt, you CAN change  the assignment, but the postings have already been made and will not be affected by the change (it will simply affect further receipts after the change) and so Shoaib is right in some respects because it is not changing the posting, but the fields can be changed to affect future receipts, even after a valuated GR. (I have done this many times).
But I think that the problem with this query is the fact that it is a service PO with the item category D. There is additional validation involved due to the complex data of a service PO.
So I would suggest that you try to change it in the service entry sheet or PO (you may have to reverse the SES first.

  • FI - How to reverse Park Invoice created by FV60 (No deletion, only reverse)

    Hello FI Guru,
    I'm a developper, not a functional
For a client, I have created a tool to allow the Park Invoice for every invoices coming from vendor.
For invoices without PO, the park invoice is created by transaction FV60, but some times the user has to "cancel" the park invoice to allow the creation a-of a new park invoice because it was link to a PO.
The goal is that I have to reverse the parked Document (they don't want to deleted it, only a reversing).
How can we do this in FI ?
    Wich transaction, wich procedure ?
    Thanks a lot.
    JC

    Hello Jean,
It is not possible to reverse the parked document in SAP as it is not yet posted finally. But you can able to delete the same with the help of FBV0 t code.
Delete parked doc - Go to FBV0 - give co.code, document no,fiscal year details and press enter.
Now go to document tab and click delete parked document option then it will delete the parked document.
I hope it helps else revert us with your query.

  • Error message when editing an invoice

I just edited an invoice (changed the amount owed) but when I hit "send" I get this error message "Sorry - your last action could not be completed. If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes. If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don't use your browser's Back button) and restart your activity. If you came from PayPal's website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again." None of those applied to me. I'm not sure how to resend the adjusted invoice to my client without  having to recreate a brand new invoice and delete the old one. Has anyone had this problem before and what did you do about it?

    SAP Note 861158:
    Symptom
'Select if more than one series can contain more than one document'
    Other terms
Document numbering, Company Details, document series, series, series not defined, journal entry, SAP Business One
    Reason and Prerequisites
The option 'Select if more than one series can contian more than one document' has been chosen in the Company Details - Basic Initialisation tab.
    Solution
When the above option has been chosen in the company details, there are two backround definitions to be defined:
    1.  The series has to be defined.
Path in Business One: Administration -> System Initaialisation -> Define Series.
    2.  The series must then be assigned to the documents.
Path: Administration -> System Initaialisation -> Define Documents. To assign a document:
=> Double click on the grey box beside the document name.
=> There is a box beside each defined series. Choose the desired series by placing a tick in this box.
    Additional Information:
Please note that if the series which has been assigned to the document is not assigned to the Journal entry in the 'Define Documents' window then the document will not be able to be added. Instead the error message 'Series not defined for Journal Entry' will be displayed.
To avoid this error   follow point 2 above and assign the relevant series to the journal entry.

  • Customer open Items follow up..

    Hello,
we have the following case in our Project:
On a sales Invoices ( coming from SD), we have customer A as payer...
but into Accounting, in order to ease the customers open items follow up, we need to have one single customer ( Customer B)
Then, it is possible to make this ?  ( One payer in Sales Invoice and another customer in FI on which the open items are posted ?)
    Thanks and regards

You can mention the "bill to party" as the customer of FI.
And maintain the payer as needed in FI.
Can also use the alternative payer field in FI customer master data (FD02 > Company Code Data > Payment Transaction Tab)

  • Payment terms on vendor master

    Hi experts,
in vendor master we maintain payment terms at accounting view and purchasing view,
both are mandatory to set or only one at accounting view is mandatory?
is it possible to change payment terms at purchasing view apart from payment terms set in accounting view ?
if we set at accounting view only is it available for all purchase orgs ?
if we give it in both which one is prioratised ?
    please clarify in this asap,
    will reward points
    Thnaks & regards

There are many invoices coming into a company for which you will never create purchase orders. Such as  from customs, from the electrical supplier,  from a restaurant for a business dinner.. For such vendors you do not need purchasing views, hence it is necessary to have a field for payment terms at company code level. You will post invoices with FI transactions.
It is possible to create POs long before company code data is needed in a vendor master. For a PO you need payment terms, payment terms will only default from purchasing org data to the PO.
You post your invoice using the invoice verfication transaction of MM: e.g. MIRO in reference to the PO.
Usually you would have the same payment term at comapny code and purchasing org level for one vendor, as the vendor will not necessarily know if you have SAP and if you order with or without PO.

  • Consolidating In/Out Payments for BPs who are vendors and customers

    Hi
We do business with a number of companies who are both vendors and customers and I am wondering if there is a better way of dealing with contra payments..
At the moment I would do the following:
I want to pay a supplier's November AP Invoices but they also owe us (a lesser amount) for November AR Invoices....
    1. I create an incoming payment for the amount of the AR Invoices but deposit the payment to a 'contra' account instead of our current account. (No actual funds have been received from the supplier/customer)
    2. I create an outgoing payment in the amount of the balance of the 'contra' account which pays off some AP Invoices in full and one AP Invoice in part. I choose the 'contra' account as the payment account.
    3. I create a second payment for the balance of the part-paid AP Invoice and the rest of the due AP Invoices. I choose the current account as the payment account.
    4. I send the supplier/customer 2 separate remittance advice notes along with a single cheque in the amount of the 2nd payment..
Is there a better way of doing this which doesn't rely on me remembering to check whether a vendor is also a coustomer and whether they owe money for the relevant period before I do a payment run?
Thanks for any advice (SAP 2007A)

  • Payment Program Free selection tab fields

    Hi,
We would like to pay the vendors against the open items which are due upto a date in the past. For example when we run the payment proposal today(05-10-2011) we want the system to list and pay the invoices which were due on a date a week ago(05-03-2011).
The due date field is not available in Free Selection tab to exclude. Any idea how to make it working?
    Thanks
    Ram

    Dear:
Due date is calculated from the date at which proposal is run and posted you can make proposal run in back date as well. IN free selection tab when you give invoice numbers, the system will automatically pick the invoices coming within the range and leave the invoices not yet due.

  • Deferred payment terms and Tax due immediatly

    Hi,
We would like to know if there is a workaround in SAP to post the customers invoices tax amount with a different due date of the deferred payments. The deferred payments amount will not include tax.
What we would like to do according to our business requirement (this is not a legal requirement in Canada) is to do the postings as follow. Let say we have an invoice which full amount is 1,000$, 100$ are taxes. There are 3 instalments. The posting would be as follow:
DR Customer account 100$ net due 15th of March (tax amount)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of June (1st installment)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of July (2nd installment)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of August (3rd installment)
    CR Sales Tax 100$
    CR Revenue 900$
Tax rate vary accoding to the province in Canada. Therefore, creating a payment term per number of deferred payments (1 to 24) * number of provinces (13) * first payment due date (1 to 24) is not feasable since it is a pain to maintain (too many payment term to create).
Some of our invoices are interfaced (created through an FB01), some are financial invoices (FB70) and we have regular invoices coming from SD. Thus, we have many document types included and we cannot use the amount splitter functionality for enjoy transaction (FB70/75 only).
Anybody has already had to implement or change a FM or BAdI for such a posting?
Thanks a lot for your advice!
    Pierre

Just to clarify, the above scenario is for when PO is transferred from MM to SUS , then payment terms and condition types are not transferring
