'06: Pages app.: How to switch columns within Classic Brochure?

Working on a brochure as a personal project. Realized this is what "Pages" (part of iWork '06) is for as giving it a try. Decided on the template provided under Marketing -> and have chosen the "Classic Brochure". It's very cool and easy to use!
However, have decided to not actually fold the brochure/paper once it's printed, rather just have the 3 columns as it will work well with my content. My only problem is that I would like to swtich the far left and far right columns with eachother on the front page. (Would like to keep the layout design and so I continue to work with the template as is)
Is there any way to easily switch these two columns??

Gordon, with a bit of work, it can be done. If you still want to swap the left and right panels, here's how you can do it. First, delete the text in the left panel and click and shift-click on the two pictures and the tan frame. Group them and drag them into the middle panel. (We'll come back to them.) Next, under Format>Advanced, check "Make Master Object Selectable." Then click and shift-click on as many of the various parts of the right panel as you can and group them. Drag them to the left panel. You may have to go back and get some you missed. Anyway, reassemble them in the left panel as needed. If the tan background doesn't show through, choose "Bring Forward" as many times as necessary. In the right panel you should be left with a gray background. In this panel create a rectangle filled with white and a 0.5 pt stroke and enlarge it to fill the gray panel leaving the gray showing so as to match the other panels. Now drag the pictures from the middle panel where you parked them into the right panel and create a text box below them. You will probably have to jostle things a bit to get them into position. If you want the one I've created, post your email and I will send it to you. (Take the usual precautions and spell out the symbols and such.)

Hi, the problem is in the Web page, not in the layout definition.
The first thing i did was to freeze columns in the layout definition, but when you build your web page(bps_wb) those settings aren´t applying.
I guess i need javascript to do it. Any suggestion?

Using Pages app, how can I separate a document into individual PDF pages on iPad to email

I am trying to email individual pages of my document to different people as PDF attachments. I am using pages for iPad and I don't see the option to email current page as PDF, any help appreciated!

If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck. The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for.

How to switch column names without moving song list?

Somehow I put the song names under the column labled "Artist" and the artist under "Names".
How can I change these column titles without having to retype each song title and artist under the correct column names?

After update to new Pages 5 I now have 2 Pages Apps how to uninstall the old one?

I have Mavericks, went to see what Apps were on the list to update, and amonst those were iLife and iWork apps that I already had. I updated everything on the list. I had a folder with the latest iWork apps in my Apps section that are still there, however, Ihave Brand new iWork Apps showing up separately in the Finder/Apps area. I wish to either uninstall or remove the old version and am not sure whether to use on of my Apps like App Delete to remove the old one, or click on to the old one, and just delete the old app. Thanks for Advice on this. I believe thousands , if not millions of people must have the same question.

Switching between the Classic View and the Tree View in transaction FEBA

Hi All
I would like to know how to switch between the Classic View and the Tree View on transaction FEBA for post processing of bank statements. I have a scenario where in the DEV client the transaction is calling up the Tree View and in my QA environment it calls up the Classic View, and I would like to know if there is a way to easily switch between the two views.

Can I access Time Machine within an app like Pages? How do I enter Time Machine within the application? It always takes me to the Finder. I apolgise for the mumbo jumbo. I simply do not know how to use Time Machine. It makes sense when I follow the Tutorial but then I lose it.

OK. You've kind of skipped over the reason why you want to go back five hours, but my assumption would be that you've made changes to a Pages file that you want to revert.
There are two ways to tackle this. From Pages itself, open the current version of your document, and from the File menu, click Revert To, and Browse All Versions. You'll then be in the Time Machine interface for that file, and can browse back to the version you want.
Or, outside of Pages, you can select the file (or the folder it was originally in, if you've since deleted it) and enter Time Machine from the TM menu (it sounds like you've already tried this?)

Pages '09 does not seem to allow layout breaks in Textboxes.
Pages 5.2 has the same limitation.
Use multiple linked Textboxes in Pages '09 to get the layout you want or create your layout in a Word Processing template in the document layer.

How do you widen a column within a view

Farm is SP 2010, upgraded from MOSS (and in some cases, pages upgraded from SP 2003 to MOSS years ago). The pages in question below are using the SP 2010 visual interface.
I have a site admin who has been asked to widen a column within one of the AllItems.aspx views. Right now, the column is wrapping after about 13 or 14 characters.
The users asked the admin to widen it so it "never" wraps.
1. Is that possible?
2. If so, how would he do that?
3. If not, then how would he change it so that more characters are shown?
Additional info:
He tried to open the list in SharePoint Designer where he figured he might be able to figure out some way to modify things, but instead gets an error saying that the web part or control on the page could not be displayed because it is not registered
as safe. It goes on to tell him to contact the site admin (which is him) to have the web part or control configured as safe.
He has no idea how to do that - nor do I. In particular, as far as we are aware, this is a standard list web part. Seems like it should already be registered as safe.
Perhaps someone out there has already ran into this?

I think you can modify the width of the column using Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007.
The steps below:
1.    Open the view in Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007.
2.    In the "Design" window, right click anywhere on the body of the view.
3.    Select "Convert to XSLT Data View".
4.    Click once on the column title you wish to adjust.
5.    You should now be able to drag the column to the desired width.

How to switch focus in Mail.app?

Hello!
I am trying to use Mail.app only with the keyboard.
However one last thing keeps me using the MagicTrackpad: I was not able to discover how to switch the focus from one folder of the folder list on the left side to the mails within this folder (in the middle panel - using the 3-panel-view).
Do you have an idea how to do this?

This is no longer true for me (not even in the classic design!), running Version 6.2 (1499) from Mail.app with 10.8.2: I can not switch between this areas using the tab key!

I just updated my OS to Mavericks, as well as my Pages app. Now my previously created documents print out as blank paper, even tho I can see the text on my desktop.The margins have also been altered. How do I fix this?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Adjusting width of columns within 'Announcements' app

Could anyone please direct me to the correct area within Sharepoint Designer 2013, in order to modfy the width of featured columns within the 'Announcements' app in Sharepoint? I am new to Sharepoint, and despite the internet being a wonderful collection
of resources, it is sometimes difficult to plough through the many contributions and find exactly what is needed! I have attached an image of what is desired.

Hi MR, open the view of the list you want to modify, then hover between the columns until you get a double arrow. Click and drag the column to the desired width. Save it and refresh your SharePoint page.

How do I attach multiple files from the pages app to my email

I'm trying to attach multiple documents from the "Pages" app to my email. I'm using an ipad. It is only letting me attach one at a time and send each document as individual emails. I would like to be able to send one email with all 4 documents at the same time. Any suggestions?
Another thought- When I go to my gmail app to compose an email, I have the following to send:

cc:
subject:
But there is not a paperclip to click to attach any documents either. Is this all connected and something in my ipad settings needs to be adjusted?

You can only attach one file at a time to email in the Pages app
You cannot attach files in the mail app. If you want to email a file, you do it from within the app where the file is saved such as what you did with Pages.
