0ANALYSIS_PARTTEN and TAB pages

Hi
I want to use 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template for all my data providers in my web template which have a TAB pages with two tabs, each of the tab is supposed to show me the analysis for one data provider. So tab1 will show me SDF query and tab2 will show me reveune query. Can someone show me how to do this? I tried many different ways but every time, it only showed me one data provider on both tab. My question is how I can associate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN with mulitple data providers in TAB pages. Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.

Tab Page web item got several attributes i.e. Initial Tab Index, Tab Panel List.
1.Put 2 Analysis web items in Tab Web Item. set ANALYSIS1 as VISIBLE and ANALYSIS2 as HIDDEN.
2. In the Tab Panel List, you need to create 2 Tabs. every tab will be associated with <b>Actions</b>. You can see the same in above link as 'Activation Action'.
3. Click on Activation Action for Tab1. which will intern open Command Wizard. select the 'SET WEB ITEM Properties' Command for 2 ANALYSIS web items. set ANALYSIS1 as VISIBLE and ANALYSIS2 as HIDDEN (you need to put 2 commands i.e. one for Analysis1 , other one for analysis2) and <b>DATAPROVIDE_1</b> as source of Data.
4. Click on Activation Action for Tab2. which will intern open Command Wizard. select the 'SET WEB ITEM Properties' Command for 2 ANALYSIS web items. set ANALYSIS1 as HIDDEN and ANALYSIS2 as VISIBLE (you need to put 2 commands i.e. one for Analysis1 , other one for analysis2) and <b>DATAPROVIDE_2</b> as source of Data.
save and publish your Template ... you will see required output.
Hope this helps.

  • Private parameters and tab pages

I have built a oracle database password changer jsp portlet and placed it on a tab page. When i enter username/oldpassword/newpassword and press submit, the parameters wont show up in the url. But if i navigate to a different tab then i see that all parameter name/value appears in the URL. Now everybody can see the password i entered in my password change application. Is there any way of preventing these parameter name/value appearing on the url?
I am using private persistent portlet parameters.

will oracle address this issue? If yes in what version of pdk?

  • Anyone know how to do pulldown menus and Tabbed pages?

Hi I'm looking for some insight on the above. Any information would be much appreciated, especially if the result is Mac like, or like apple's web site.
    Thanks.

If you're really desperate, you can create a Fibonacci spiral using the tools available in Keynote: lay out a template of squares as specified in the link; lock them all; use the pen tool to draw connected straight lines between the appropriate corners; double-click on the corners of the drawn lines to turn them into curves. The result is OK, but not terribly flexible.
You're much better off using a tool that specifically draws spirals.

  • Is there a way to create multiple New Tabs pages and name them?

This feature is great but I would like to be able to create multiple new tabs pages and label them. This would be more useful than tabs groups that all load at once.

No that is (currently) not possible.
It will be possible in future Firefox version to specify the number of rows and columns.

Well ... this appears to be a serious problem with the Portal as it renders it incapable of adding pages and tabs. I've tried reinstalling it on 3 different servers, used another instance of Oracle database, and the result is still the same. No installation errors, and suddenly after 7-10 days this error starts appearing.
Am I the only one experiencing this type of error? ...and can anyone offer\suggest ways to fix it?

  • A cleaning utility deleted my browsing history! My fault! I want to re-open the old pages and tabs. The info may be in an old "sessionstore.js" or "places.sqlite" file but these are huge and some URLS are written backwards. Where do I start please?

I have copied "places.sqlite" and given it a .txt extension, then opened in Wordpad - but it's huge - I don't know what order it's in and many of the URLS are written backwards - like "moc.smooretal.www" instead of "www.laterooms.com."
Similarly there are several numbered versions of sessionstore.js in the profile and these can be opened with a text editor too. But if I simply substitute the current sessionstore.js file with an older (numbered) one in the profile, Firefox seems to ignore it.
    So:
    1. Is there a method of re-installing the "history" sites list or "previously opened pages and tabs" from the 'places.sqlite' file, or from a previous sessionstore.js file (and if so how do I go about it ?)
    2. If not, is there an alternative source of browsing history back-up which I can use or
    3. If not that either, is there at least a way of reversing the backwards text so I can read the URLs and copy/paste them?
    All knowledgeable help much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Peter

Firefox has other backups it makes automatically, unfortunately your cleaning utility may have wiped them.
#First step backup manually whatever you have
#*''' edit''' <s>[[backing up and restoring backups]]</s><br/> [[backing up and restoring bookmarks]]
#Second step find and copy all of your profile folder and all the sub files and sub folders
    ## easiest method of finding it is <br> Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile [Open containing folder] <br/>The places.sqlite is a database that contains all your bookmarks and history, if this exists and is not corrupt then your bookmarks library should work and allow you to create backups.
    ##*see [[backing up your information]]
    ## put it somewhere safe your Windows desktop will do
.JSON files are the backup files, either created manually or by firefox
sessionstore.js files probably are of little use to you, containing only the tabs & windows from recent close downs, not the full history and bookarks.
Now that any existing files are safe try to see if any backups exist that firefox created automatically
    * these would be in a folder within the profile
    * they can most easily be used by opening the bookmarks library, as explained in the article linked above.

You can change a preference to make tabs open
    # at the end of all open tabs
    # immediately after the current tab.
    See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
*Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and press the Enter key.
*If you see the warning, accept it (promise to be careful).
    *Filter = browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
*Look at the "Value" column ('''false'''=open at end, '''true'''=open after current tab); Value = true is the default.
*Double-click that preference to toggle the value from true to false, or false to true
*Restart Firefox (File > Restart Firefox)

i want my new tab pages to look the same as my starter page.

Firefox by default uses a blank page for a new tab. Something you installed has changed that action to what you are complaining about. You need to figure out which add-on made that change and disable that add-on or change the preference in that add-on.

  • The new tab page is showing Gmail inbox pages, meaning anyone can start a new tab and get access to my email. How do I stop this?

When I open a new tab, within the pages brought up is my gmail inbox. This mean anyone can have access to my inbox without logging in, without my password. How do I restrict this access?

If you log out of Gmail, then clicking the thumbnail should take you to a login page. If you don't log out, then anyone can access your email just by typing gmail.com in the URL bar. But you're right that the picture does create a temptation to click...
You can set the new tab page back to blank if you prefer. However, please note that the page thumbnails are stored in the browser cache, so you also need to clear your cache to flush out existing thumbnails if you don't want anyone to be able to see them.
