0CUSTOMER data from Unicode R/3 to Non-Unocode BW Error

Hi,
I am getting error data when extracting 0CUSTOMER_ATTR.
the error is similar to SDN Link: [Extraction from a unicode ERP to a non unicode BW|Extraction from a unicode ERP to a non unicode BW]
We don't have any Languages installed at present.
we are getting this error for Chinese char. In the above link there is a mention to do Initialization of SPRAS in INCLUDE ZXRSAU02. Can anyone explain this.
in the Table T002: SPRAS=ZH is set to Chinese; if we initialize to ZH how about other languages.
Please Suggest.

Hello experts!
We want to extract data from a unicode source system into a non-unicode BW. Now we got problems with japanese signs (kanji). Our plan was to check against RSKC and delete the the unicode texts this way. This is OK for our people as a workaround.
But we even doesn't get our data in the PSA. Getting here some conversion errors.
Is there a way to handle this. The only solution we now at the moment is to delete possible problematic values over extractor customer exit. But if there would be a BW-side solution it would be better.
Switching the BW to Unicode is no topic at the moment.

Thank you for this hint. I had seen this document before but being not sure how this can help. I will look on this tomorrow again and talk to our sap basis.
My perfomance issue is still open. I tried different things but nothing shows a real change for the better. So I opened now a sap message. Let's see what it will bring.
Oh, we produce no monitor entries by the way.
What is a little bit crazy is that in SM50 it is always read on DIM6 while we have a DIM7 which has about 40 percent compared to the now 15 percent of DIM6. Very bad design but also depends on the kind of data in this case.

When target DB is down in which table is the data from source is stored, also where are the error messages stored in ODI( I am not getting any error message in E$_TARGET_ANI_TEST).
When i am running the interface i am getting the below error against the errored step
"ORA-01045: user ABC lacks CREATE SESSION privilege; logon denied."
Only E$_TARGET_ANI_TEST is created with no data. No such tables like C$_0TARGET_ANI_TEST, I$_TARGET_ANI_TEST are created and also data is not inserted in the target table TARGET_ANI_TEST.

Trying to query data from a view - ORA-01882 and ORA-02063 Errors

Hey there,
I tried to query data from a view that was provided by a colleague. This view works fine and gives correct data using PL/SQL Developer or SQLPLUS, but in SQL Developer, I get the following error:
ORA-01882: Time zone region not found
ORA-02063: preceding line from SYSTOOLS
01882.00000 - "timezone region %s not found"
* Cause: Specified reason name was not found
* Action: Please contact Oracle Customer Support
Vendor Code 1882
Where comes this error message from?! SYSTOOLS is the database link.
Can't see an obvious reason for this error.
OS is Windows 2000 SP4, SQL Developer is v1.1.1.25 BUILD MAIN-25.14

Distributing customizing(control) data from SAP ECC to a non SAP System

Dear Experts,
I am currently working on an interface for distribution of different data to a non SAP System. One of these is customizing data (Company code, purchasing org. plant etc). The system expects a file and we shall implemet the following scenario: IDOC>XI>File
Questions:
1. Is it possible to use CONDAT Idoc to transfer customizing data to a non SAP System or is this only used for synchronisation of data between SAP Systems?
2.In case CONDAT cannot be used would you recommend creating a custom table, message type etc. for this case?

How to pull data from Active Directory in ABAP (non-CUA approach)?

All,
We have a requirement to pull information from AD into a WAS 6.20 system.
I know there is the standard CUA/UME LDAP synchronization discussed at length in this forum but this in not what we are looking for. We would like to connect from an ABAP program (BAPI/RFC) to AD and pull a specific field and store it in a custom table.
I found one thread that describes how to do this with WebDynpro in Java, but this would be our last resort since we wouldn't be able to do that from the actual 6.20 WAS but would have to use another 2004s system which would extend the architecture of the current design.
Any thoughts?

What is a the size of the text you are trying to insert?
Have you tried the increasing the size of 'Name' column to 658?
Most likely the size of Name column is 20. This isn't enough to fit in the value you are trying to insert.
You can increase the size of the Name column with alter table Hr.doctors modify ( Name column_type (658));

I have a scenario like this.
I was loading data from ODS to cube daily. everything was working fine till 2 days before. i added some characteristic fields in my cube while i didn't do any change in my key figures. now i started reloading of data from ODS to cubes. i got the following error "Exceptions in Substep: Rules" after some package of data loaded successfully.
I deleted the added fields from the infocube and then i tried toreload data again but i am facing the same error again "Exceptions in Substep: Rules".
Can any one tell me how to come out from this situation ?

After transporting SD cubes,along with some warnings I received the foollowing error in BI quality system..

I remember that sometimes transport error occurs if there is data inside master data object.Remove the data and transport the infoobject again.Is that right?

I dont have an intention to delete the data from infoobject.
Somewhere I read that transport error results in some cases if there is data inside the infoobject.I am not sure if its correct or not.

Error while loading data from R/3 to PSA

While loading data from R/3 to PSA i am getting error 'the argument 0.6 j cannot be interpreted as a number when assing application structure.Actually in R/3 0.6 and JPY are 2 different columns.So when loading J is getting concatenated with 0.6,so i think i am getting this error.

U have to go thru the note and chk/compare the settings with ur system...i.e packages, levels...
If not take the assistance from BASIS...
Note; And also all the notes may not be the exact note tht matches ur issue always...its jst a comparision within our system...If it doesn't solve our issue we have to search for another alternative...

Error while replicating data from MSSQL to HANA

Hello Colleagues,
I have created SLT configuration where the replication has to happen from MSSQL database for NW BPM for 4 tables. I have also applied a transformation function to convert date columns in the BPM tables to right desired format while replicating in HANA.
Now when I use the SAP HANA Data Provisioning Editor to replicate the data from these BPM tables, I am getting following error :
Conv.obj. Z_BC_BPEM_EL_RDS_021: Calculation job in sender system could not be started
In the configuration I have used Job Options as No of data Transfers Job : 003 , Initial Load Jobs : 002 , No of Calculations Job : 001
We are using SLT 2.0 and BASIS release 740.
Please suggest what could be done to remove that.

There could be number of reasons for this issue. We need to first start filtering one by one and take out the possibility. Please check the things in the following order.
1. As everyone mentioned, check if you have free available WPs. System is going to use Background WP for running calculation job in the Source system. Normally Basis define sufficient number of WPs but sometimes they are occupied. You can check using TCode SM50 ( you need to do that on each host in a multi App server environment ).
2. Try increasing your calculation jobs in SLT using TCODE LTRC --> Administration Data --> Change no of Jobs. Make sure you have enough free background WP in your SLT and Source system.
Incase the above methods do not work, provide the following information.
1. Where exactly you see the error message. Are you able to add the table to Data provisioning from LTRC.
2. Are you able to add any more tables and do the replication.
