0HR_PY_PP_1 - strange number of record extracted in delta

Hello experts,
I got a problem using 0HR_PY_PP_1
First I make a extract with initialisering with data,
second I make a delta load
In my delta load I got some data, but all our data should be loaded with the initialisation.
Has anyone experienced about this situation?
And witch date in R3  is used to select data?
Best Regards,
Per

There is SAP note 533373 for DS 0HR_PY_PP_1 and 0HR_PY_PP_2.
Hope it helps

  • Number of records in setup tables

    Hi all,
How do we find out the number of records extracted into setup tables ?
    Thanks in advance
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,
You can check in the RSA3 for the data source.
In TA NPRT check for the no.of records and then cross check in SE16.
    Assign points if it helps

  • Reconciliation of Number of Records

    Hi All,
My client wants a way to reconcile the number of records in R/3 to the number of records extracted to BW i.e for ex: if we are loading sales header data and we got 100 records in BW he wants to cross check that in R/3 if that 100 records are the only records to be extracted or something is missed? Is there any such way to check the number of records in R/3 to the number of records extracted to BW.
    Best Regards,
    James.

    James,
Technically, yes. However, the question to ask is that is the return worth it. The effort of creating an ABAP program, resolving the timing differences, figuring out the logic, etc. will be quite high.
Worst case, do it for a few critical areas rather than evreything andmake sure that this is accepted as an exception to the rule. In normal DW scenarios it is important but with business content and especially for tried and tested content like sales, finance, etc. it is not really a problem.
Another option would be to put in place a business process that does a perodic check of the data as per a pre-defined logic.
Most important thing to remeber is that we shouldn't introduce sometihng that itself is questionable. So unless someone understndas the stndard extractors well, trying to replicate the logic in another ABAP program would be diffcult and bring into question the reliability of the ABAP program.
Still suggest avoid and do it as an exception. Find out where the users are coming from and give in to one or two areas but not as a general rule.

  • Number of records in Delta Queue in table level.

    Hi All,
I want to know the number of records in Delta Queue for a particular database in Table level. Right now in Production, i dont have access to TCODE RSA7. I just trying to check the Table TRFCQOUT but i am unable to see the exact count of records specific to data source. Can you please provide any other table to see the data and the count of records in delta queue specific to each data source.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jalina,
    Check the follwing tables:
    -ARFCDATA
    -TRFCQOUT
    -ARFCSTATE
In case you can't find what you need in the above tables. You can always ask a temporary access to RSA7 transcation to your basis team or ask them to give you the required information from RSA7 themseleves (of course provide to them a step by step procedure) .
    Hope it helps.

  • Wrong number of records in extraction in Generic Extractor

    Hi all,
I have created generic datasource on table DFKKCOLLH and made this datasource delta enabled on field ACPTM.
    1)RSA3 is shoiwng 94.615 records
    2) When i load the Full load it is fetching 92,015
    3) When i load the initlization for Delta load the is it fetchin only 35,000 records
Can anybody suggest why there is difference ?
    Regards
    Nilesh

you can't use ACPTM as a delta field. it's a time field not a date field. the difference might be that in your init you only take the records where this field is initilal or just not initial...
just check in se16 the number of records you should have and tell us if this corresponds to what you have in rsa3, in full or in init...

  • Different number of records in RSA3 for Full and INIT

    Hi All,
I am about to load the data from 0FI_GL_4 and checked it in RSA3 for the number of records. It returned different number of records when I run the extract with options 'F' and 'C'. Why is it so? This is the first time I am loading the data into BW for this datasource. I would expect the number of records to be same if I do either a full extract or an init but surprised by seeing different number of records.
    Best Regards,
    James.

    Hi James,
Probably it's because of the time stamps stored in table BWOM2_TIMEST.
If you run a delta init and than a delta update then the number of the records should match with the record of the full update.
You can find some more info about table BWOM2_TIMEST here:

    Hi Suneel,
You can load delta to write optimized DSO. Your Data source will have delta load (through infopackage) and then with DTP (with Extraction Mehtod --> Delta) you can load delta records to this write optimized DSO. So only the new requests, which are not loaded yet will be loaded to WO-DSO. I tried it in system and it works.
They can be used in the following scenarios:
    ●      You use a write-optimized DataStore object as a temporary storage area for large sets of data if you are executing complex transformations for this data before it is written to the DataStore object. The data can then be updated to further (smaller) InfoProviders. You only have to create the complex transformations once for all data.
    ●      You use write-optimized DataStore objects as the EDW layer for saving data. Business rules are only applied when the data is updated to additional InfoProviders.
it is used when you don't want to wait for DSO activation and error troubleshooting. It will make raportable data available instantly.
    Hope it helps...

  • How to get number of records in all user tables in one select

Please advise how to retrieve the number of records in all user tables in one select. I would likt to extract the data to excel file.
    Many thanks,
    Andrew

You could always analyze the tables:
    declare
    begin
for X in (select owner, table_name from all_tables
                 minus
select owner, table_name from all_external_tables) LOOP
          dbms_stats.Gather_Table_Stats(X.Owner, X.Table_Name) ;
      end loop;
    end;
    /Then: Select Owner, Table_Name, Num_Rows from All_Tables ;

  • Issue when number of records in a DSO exceeds DTP package size

    Hi all,
I'm having a strange problem with the package size of my DTPs.
I move data from a DSO to another one while performing some transformations in an Export routine. The DTP has a package size of 6 million records.
When the number of records in the first DSO exceeds the package size, some of the records seem not to be processed properly by the transformation and this forces me to choose a very large number for the package size so that the ABAP code in the transformation is processed for all the records of the source DSO.
I can't understand why this is happening because package size is only supposed to determine the number of records to be processed in a single step and nothing else.
    Am I right?
    Thanks

My tip would also be the summary item

  • Determine the number of records in a file

I want to analyse record types from a large input file and so far have managed to extract different groups and created the relevant files. All I want to do now is count the number of records in each file so I can produce a report showing the different types but cannot figure out how to do this, I know it will be simple but I cannot get any command to accomplish this, help please!

in applescript, there are a few ways to count patterned text.  if (as jeffrey suggests) each record is a separate line, then you can use the following:
    set textContents to read "/path/to/file.txt"
    count of paragraphs of textContents
if records are determined by some other process (such as a special delimiting character or phrase) you can use text items (replace the @ sign with the special character or phrase):
    set textContents to read "/path/to/file.txt"
    set {oldTID, my text item delimiters} to {my text item delimiters, "@"}
set theCount to count of text items of textContents
set my text item delimiters to oldTID

  • How to deal with delete record in generic delta of generic datasource

    Hi,
Anyone can give me suggestion about the delete record in generic delta  of generic data. I need extract data with a generic datasource and hope deleted record in datasource also can be "delete" in next delta extraction. I do a test with generic delta. It seem that the delete record can not be updated in ODS. but updated record can be updated in next delta extraction.
How dose BW generic delta deal with the deleted record with generic delta mechanisim? Or how can I use generic delta mechanisim to realize that BW "delete" the deleted record of source system in ODS with delta extraction?
    Thanks in advance!
    Billy

Delete is not supported in delta mechanism of generic delta extractor. You will need to add a workaround for that.
    - Capture the deleted records somewhere (maybe enhance the txn deleting the record so the key is written to a Z table). Take these records to BW and manipulate the recordmode to affect deletion of corresponding record from ODS.
    - If your generic delta is based on FM, and if the 'delete' is captured in change document tables, add the logic to check change document tables whether any records are deleted, and if yes, send those to BW with appropriate recordmode to achieve deletion.

  • Number of Records in RSA3 for 0EC_PCA_1

    Dear all,
I have installed data source 0EC_PCA_1 from content. Data for this data source is extracted from table GLPCT. When see at the table there are only 634 and number of records that are extracted from data source in RSA3 is 28203. I want to understand logic behind this or am I making any mistake.
On source system side we are ECC 6.0 and 'New GL' Functionality has been activated.
    Request your help as usual.
    Regards
    SN Dubey

You can try the function module ECPCA_BIW_GET_DATA in order to see what really happens; but it could take some time since it depends a lot on your customizing: if you use special ledgers, the balance carry forward stuff and a lot more...
An you are correct: I thought straight forward about EC_PCA_3 (GLPCA) instead of EC_PCA_1 (GLPCT); my mistake, sorry for that.
In any case I cannot tell how it works in ECC.

I have a extract group which captures the change data from many source tables and gives one kind of trail files in different sequence number.

  • Process Chains - number of records loaded in various targets

    Hello
I have been trying to figure to access the metadata on the process chain log to extract information on the number of records loaded in various targets(Cubes/ODS/Infoobjects).
I have seen a few tables like RSMONICTAB, RSPCPROCESSLOG and RSREQICODS through various threads posted, however I would like to know whether there is any data model ( relationship structure beween these and other std. tables) so that I could seamless traverse through them to get the information I need.
In traditional ETL tools I would approach the problem :
    > Load a particular sequence(in our case = BW Process chain) name into the program
    > Extract the start time and end time information.
    > Tranverse through all the objects of the sequence(BW Process chain)
    > Check if the object is a data target
    > If yes scan through the logs to extract the number of records loaded.
could I have a list of similar tables which I could traverse through ABAP code to extract such information?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Richa,
Please check these tables which may be very useful for you.
      rsseldone,
      rsdodso,
      rsstatmanpsa,
      rsds,
      rsis,
      rsdcube
I have got a abap code where you can get all the information for a particular request.
If you need more information goto ST13; select BI TOOLS and Execute.
    hope this helps .....

I am creating biztalk application to store the data into sql server.
and my client says this line what i am not understood .
"Only one round trip to database from BizTalk per message irrespective of number of records in message per table."
Any one can help me to understand this line.!
    Thanks,

    One more option is -
Create a stored procedure to perform batch insert, you can insert into any number of tables you want.
--sample SP code...just added the steps you need to know to extract XML and perform insert
    CREATE PROCEDURE <SPName>
    @YourXML XML
    AS
    BEGIN
    EXEC sp_xml_preparedocument @idoc OUTPUT, @youXML
    SET @j = 1
                WHILE @j <= @recordCount
                BEGIN
                     SET @xpath = '//ns1:RootNode/Record[' + CAST(@j AS VARCHAR(11)) + ']'
;WITH XMLNAMESPACES('record namespace' as ns0, 'rootnode namespace' as ns1)
         INSERT INTO YourTable
                      (field1, field2....field20)
                      SELECT
                            field1, field2....field20
                      FROM OPENXML(@idoc, @xpath, 2)
                            WITH(field1 varchar(2), field2 varchar(20)........field20 varchar(100))
                      SET @j = @j + 1
                END
    END
On BizTalk side its quite simple...generate schema for your stored procedure...and in your map transform your XML to StoredProcedure schema using CDATA.
    Hope it helps!!
