Minimize the SAP_j2ee_admin access to the Basis and Support Folks

How can I minimize the access to SAP_J2ee_Admin role in Netweaver system for the Basis folks and the Support folks and also letting them to do the activities as required.
Any thoughts on this...

The problem is network wise.. Yosemite is about equal to tin cans and string.. pathetic.
Here is my usual set of instructions to get anything working on Yosemite.
The best way to fix problems is a full factory reset of all the AE in the network.
Factory reset universal
Power off the AE.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the AE to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
Then redo the setup from the computer with Yosemite.
1. Use very short names.. NOT APPLE RECOMMENDED names. No spaces and pure alphanumerics.
eg AEgen5 and AEwifi for basestation and wireless respectively.
Even better if the issue is more wireless use AE24ghz and AE5ghz with fixed channels as this also seems to help stop the nonsense.
2. Use all passwords that also comply but can be a bit longer. ie 8-20 characters mixed case and numbers.. no non-alphanumerics.
3. Ensure the AE always takes the same IP address.. this is not a problem for AE which is router.. it is a problem for AE which is bridged.. you will need to set static IP in the main router by dhcp reservations or use static IP in the AE which is tricky.
4. Check your share name on the computer is not changing.. make sure it also complies with the above.. short no spaces and pure alphanumeric..
5. Make sure IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open the network preferences, wireless and advanced / TCP/IP.. and fix the IPv6. to link-local only.
6. Now mount the disk of the second AE in finder... manually.
Use Go, Connect to Server and type in the AE ip address.
SMB://10.0.1.2
Where you will replace that address with the actual address. The network resource should be discovered and then it will request the password.. type that in and make sure you tick to save it in your keychain.
There is a lot more jiggery pokery you can try but the above is a good start.. if you find it still unreliable.. don't be surprised.
Do as much as you want of the above... not all of it is necessary.. only if you want it reliable.. or as reliable as Yosemite in its current incarnation can manage.
The most important thing is point 6.. mount the disk using direct IP address and not names.. dns in Yosemite is fatally flawed.

It can come about without any change done by the user, and it's not just from other networks. The placement of the router can also affect performance. Also make sure router is up to date.
Apart from that would be the reboots.

Yeah I'm seeing this as well. A force quit and relaunch seems to solve the problem for a while.
IMHO the app has just gone downhill in the last few years. Useful tools like browser history from the back button are hidden / rendered useless (click and hold doesn't work so well from a track pad), and it's performance just isn't what it used to be.

What is up with the Help and Support Section for Business Catalyst?

It has been very difficult for my customers and myself to access the help and support section of the site for Business Catalyst issues as we are constantly diverted to non-related Abode issues. The portal for support on Business Catalyst issue needs to be ISOLATED from ADOBE's main support section. It is bad enough that there are so many issues to deal with, but to add all the issues for all the applications is simply impossible to decipher and discover a solution.
Before the Adobe integration on the Cloud services it was much more simpler, wiith a much more efficient and cleaner layout, now every page looks like its generated by a bot that doesn't understand what I am looking for. Even the actual URL of the page is hidden so I can't even book mark it without opening the frame in a new window. My clients will not know how to do that.

Ok first of aqll. Where are the admins? I have seen none of their posts anywhere. They dont' seem to care or moderate the board.
2nd of all, in some support sections, some people say smart alac things where they don't want to help their users. I got somone from one of my posts saying, "Don't try to attempt to do something when you know nothing about it"

This is an interesting thread and I thank you and the other more experienced folk for your participation. There is a few similar recent explanatory type threads which are also useful.
However, the above partial reply does concern me a bit. And yes, I do realise that you personally are in no way responsible for or accountable for the actions or non-actions of the mods or for Apple policy. And that you are just helpfully recounting what appears to be the Discussions policy and practices.
Several months ago a reply I made to a thread was deleted, presumably by a mod but what instigated that action I do not know or do I know who reported my apparent posting crime.

I did not receive any email from Apple explaning the reason for my submission deletion.

Now, of course I am in no position to require the mods to account for their actions and I accept that these Discussions are wholly owned and operated by Apple, but Apple does [or I hope so] realise the value of the discussions and the goodwill they create and enhance.
But what is the point of having a set of rules, availble for all to see, which are in effect a two-way agreement, if Apple chooses to ignore them while expecting users to abide by them. I would have liked the opportunity to explain the import of my submission. But having it peremptorily deleted without explanation is just not fair.
But then, I expect someone will take offence at this post and it will be deleted.

Building a website , large , with old iWeb no less; not sure if i'm wasting my time. Not an expert, just have a dream. needed to ask a tech question on links to store if approved. But apparently I cannot build the site, complete with links as it will be under construction and denied approval. What does iTunes require? An up and running, possibly successfull site before approving me to re-do it with their links?

iPhone 4S and Windows XP the first thing that jumps to mind is that the iPhone 4S needs a USB 2.0 connection to sync with iTunes. Check your computers user guide to see if the PC has a compatable USB 2.0 input.

I have an older ipod shuffle. It was originally sinced to the MAC upstairs. I want to add it to my itunes account and sync it to my PC in the basement and not loose my songs.

Copy the library from the Mac to the PC.
Or copy the media from the Mac to the PC and add it to the library you've already got there.

T3000 that Power Supply was unstable, base as well just gives pops when I crank the base

Hi Folks,
I love creative products, especially there speakers with external volume control.
Problem, I bought a nice T3000 (two speakers and sub) some time ago, it worked well for about 6 months then started shutting down after 1/2 hour of use. I diagnosed that it was the power supply. I have replaced the power with a generic 12v power supply, speakers work well now and it DOES NOT SHUT DOWN. But the sub absolutely will not start !
I was wondering if its because the power supply does not have enough power or might I have the polarity reversed. The generic Power Supply that I am using is only 500mA so I might need more power. As well when I crank the base and volume on the external volume control all I would get is a periodic "burp".... "burp". I did not want to change the polarity though until I spoke to someone more professional.
What would you folks suggest.
-Get a larger power supply and if so what amperage would be suggested ?
-Change the polarity of the power supply ( I know in general speakers can run in reverse polarity, they just sound awe full. But amps do not like the wrong polarity) ? Right now the polarity of the power is + on the inside, - on the outside.

Alternatively, after password recovery you can modify the configuration to be what you want, and then issue:
write memory
to save the configuration. You can then verify that your changes have been saved to the startup config by issuing:
show startup-config"
The only good thing is that when I switch off a router it erase configuration except my new password which I created after password reset. Everything else is getting vanished (ADSL settings, DHCP, routing ) everything. Even new admin accounts I created.
Well have a question to your above comments. I am new in Cisco so please put as much detail as you can for me to understand. When you say modify configuration do you mean to go to Cisco CP Express graphical interface and then connect router to hyper terminal and execute above commands?
Why router doesn't remember this anyway. There must be some option to change in configuration to make thing permanent when I hit apply changes in Cisco CO Express otherwise it is pointless to heve it.

I understand your concern about this router and somebodie's configuration details as you want things to be un-used when you buy them - true. ADSL details belongs to the shop which sold me the router so that is why I don't make a big problem about this. We take most of hardware from this shop and have discount and many good deals with them so I think they have been just testing it and forgot to erease their config. It might be that someone has returned router to the shop and they have repaired it and tested it.
I hope this is a normal behaviour of this router as I have option to replace it in case this is a fault.
Could you please write me step by step guide how can I make changed options stay permanently on router?
