1/3 speeds since changing over.

As the title says, since changing over from Sky's 40bg/month plan (which afaik is juat a bt resale) to Plan 3 I've had approximately 1/3 of the speeds (both upload and download). My ping has been substantially lowered, however I've also noticed MANY errors in connection info (10-15/min).
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.81 Mbps

Currently using an ASUS router to connect as when I attempted to connect after rebooting PC I couldn't get online, I had to leave the router off for a while eventually and am getting lower errors than before so would prefer not to change back at the moment.
Since connecting to BT on the 31st the speed hasn't changed atall, I tried to leave it online for a week+ however when I checked connection info after being unable to log in tonight it had disconnected about 2 days ago.
I might believe it's purely a line issue, however I had the full connection speed for the last 2.5 years from my previous ISP. I switched because after using 1.3gb/day or 10gb/week it would cap peak time speeds to sub-dial-up.
Currently connected to the master socket with no other sockets in use in the house, no changes have been made anywhere else to my knowledge since changing.

with your attentuation the exchange must be next door to you
you have max conenction and a very high noise margin but in your case that is good and gives 'margin in hand' for the time your line is upgraded to 21CN
I would contact the mods now as your stats look ok and it will take mods 3 days to contact you to get your stuck profile fixed

Changed over to email, when adding contacts to email, says they are invalid when they are not.

Since changing over to the new improved email system, so I could be more organized, when I try and put my contacts in, it says they are invalid and doesn't recognize them. When in fact there are no spelling errors, the emails are typed in correctly, with correct characters. I am so frustrated. Any answers?

Yes, lots of people. There are numerous threads reporting similar problems on this forum.
As for system slow down, a couple of things to do:
i. repair permissions (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility.app)
ii. Check your login items and remove anything unnecessary (System Prefs > Users & Groups > Login Items
iii. Upgrade your RAM

Connectivity Issues and Slow Speeds Since Service Start

Hi there. I changed ISPs on 01/06/2015 from Sky to EE. Ever since the broadband service has changed over to EE, from day one, the connection has been unstable. We were getting constant disconnects, usually at pretty set times of day, but they could also be rather random too. The disconnects were most often happening at around 11am, and then from 11pm until 2am. Which was all quite odd. I've been in touch with EE home broadband customer support who have run multiple line tests, sent out two separate BT engineers and an EE engineer, all who have found no fault with the wiring and are unable to identify any faults on the lines, even though when I call, I'm more often told that as a result of line tests they've found faults on the line. This conflicting information is rather frustrating. Would also like to add that the router is plugged into the test socket and that's made no difference. For the past couple of days we've only had an occasional disconnect, so it is better in that regard, but in its place the broadband speeds have been noticeably slower. Upon running speed tests via browser, I'm getting information like: Download speedachieved during the test was - 9.19 Mbps

CHANGE OVER FROM TAXINJ TO TAXINN

TAXINJ and TAXINN cannot co exist in the same system.
If you are talking about technical Upgrade, then I don't think this would be feasible since old Txn would have got posted with TAXINJ procedure with rates as defined in Tax codes and now after migration to TAXINN in same box, the system would pick value from Condition records.
Just check this basic point of feasibility before we go ahead and look for changes.
In SuN the change is for existing implementation, here at present they have R/3 4.7, and are now in the process of technical upgrade to ECC 6.00; TAXINN is required to be implemented in the upgraded version.
At present they are using around 129 pricing procedures, 25 sales org,220 tax codes in TAXINJ. Suzlon has 21 company codes, 219 plants and 1300 end users the whole nature of group activities results in use of all possible types of indirect taxes in India like VAT, CST, Excise, Service Tax etc...

As of SAP R/3 Enterprise Core 4.70 (SAP_APPL 470), the system can calculate excise duties
and sales tax in Materials Management (MM) using the standard condition technique.
SAP has enhanced the existing tax procedure, TAXINJ, so that it now supports formula-based
and condition-based excise determination. The R/3 System also comes with a new tax procedure,
TAXINN, which only handles condition-based excise determination.
Which Tax Procedure Must I Use?
Existing customers must continue to work using the same tax procedure.
If you switch to a new tax procedure, you cannot display any documents that you have already
posted using the old tax procedure.
If you have worked with formula-based excise determination in previous releases and wish to
continue, you do not have to do anything. However, if you wish to start using the
condition-based excise determination method, proceed as specified below.
We recommend that new customers use the condition-based excise determination and tax
procedure TAXINN.
<b>How Do the New Functions Work?</b>
First, customize the system in the activities listed below. Then, for each material, create one
condition record for each form of excise duty and sales tax that applies, and enter the tax code

16.2 Condition-Based Tax Calculation (New)

in Brazil is available, which makes use of the standard condition technique. Tax rates, tax laws,
and special indicators that influence whether tax line items are included in the nota fiscal are all
stored in the system as condition records. An additional tax calculation procedure, TAXBRC, is
delivered for this new method, in addition to the existing one for Brazil, TAXBRJ.

You can continue to calculate taxes using the former method: when the system processes the tax
procedure assigned to the country (TAXBRJ), it calculates the taxes externally by calling
function module J_1BCALCULATE_TAXES. We do, however, recommend that you assign the

to flexibly adapt the tax calculation logic to cover new legal requirements or special customer
needs.
You will need to migrate your existing tax rate table entries to condition records, which you
can do directly from the Tax Manager's Workplace described below. You can check all tables
and subsequently convert the entries, whereby the system generates condition records. After the
initial migration, each time you create or change a tax rate table entry, the system automatically
generates a condition record as needed.

and Condition Mapping options under the Condition Setup pulldown menu are relevant only for
condition-based tax calculation).
16.3 Changes to Structures for Country Version India

SAP has discontinued the Country Version India Implementation Guide (IMG) and has added its

Network disconnects when speed is changed to gigabit

For over a year this machine has been connecting to a network at gigabit speed with no problems. Over the past few weeks it started having problems staying connected. All mounted volumes would be disconnected then an error message would pop up saying they were unavailable. No other machine on the network would have any trouble staying connected.
In the process of working with it I switched the ethernet speed to 100 instead of 1000 in the network control panel. At this point I would see the link status change to active in the info tab of Network Utility. Change it back to 1000 in the control panel and the status would change back to inactive in the utility.
What can be causing this? No other machine is having trouble like this. Nothing has been changed hardware or cable wise anywhere. Server, switches, workstation have all been powered down and restarted. Once the speed was changed to 100 base all has been fine, except for the speed.
Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

SCEP date range reports change over time

Not really sure how to title this, but here is the scenario. I have altered a canned report to run the first Monday of every month and dump a Word file w/links into a folder. The alteration of this report is simply changing the end date to be -30 from today.
So I am getting a 30 day report of all computers that were infected. The report runs and looks to be accurate based on alerting I have setup. The problem comes when I take this report and start to drill down into the data using the links in the report. Let's
say my report shows a virus name with an infection count of 3. I can click on 3 and see a list of PCs that were infected....well not so much. If between the time the PC was infected and the time I look at the report, any of the 3 PCs were cleaned of the infection,
then they will not show up in the drilldown. So if a single PC was cleaned...the count still shows 3, but clicking on 3 only shows 2 computers now. This pretty much goes for any data on the main page.
So essentially the report is pretty useless to go back in time and see detailed info on the incidents since the status of every bit of info in that report has changed over time. I am not a SQL person, but I did have one of SQL team look at the database and
she can't see anywhere that she can pull archived data from. Any idea what direction I can point her in to get the type of reports I am looking for?

Shocking speeds since I signed up

Can anyone help shed some light on my speed issues for me please??
When i signed up to BT I was quoted speeds of 2.5 - 6.5Meg.
When i was connected I was recieving speeds of around 0.4Meg from Talk Talk. when i changed over to BT I got the exact same 0.4Meg.
I called to complain about my speed and was then told I had to wait 10days before anyone would look into my speed issues - This annoyed me as it had not been mentioned at any time before I was connected.
After 10 days with speeds ranging from 0.02 to 0.6meg I contacted BT again to be told I needed a reset and that there was a line fault and to wait 10 more days
So 20 days in and still running at 0.4 meg, then after another age on the phone to BT, more resets and testing of things I had by this time done countless times at BT's request, I have to wait 2 weeks for an engineer to attend my house. (this was actually booked without any discussion or planning with me...)
So the engineer attends, goes to the cab for several hours and returns saying he has sorted various things there but the best incommer at the cab is 5.7meg.
He installs a new master socket into the house, removes the only other unused socket from the house, re makes the connection from the telegraph pole to my house and we test and get 2.3Meg... Good but not the promised speed at the time of sign up.
The enigheer says there are a very high number of errors on the line according to his test equipment, that is the best speed he can achieve and that my profile should be reset.
The next day, another open reach van arrives 3 dorrs up the road, my speed is already down to 2meg before it dropps out altogether for an hour or so, returning back at 0.2 meg.
I call to report this and the whole process starts again and im told i require a profile reset! Now i have been with BT for 6 weeks and this is at least the 5th time i have been reset.
I now have a woman calling me every few days to follow up on my issue, and we go through the process of changing the WiFi channel and the speed gets up to 1.3 - 1.5Meg and im asked if i am happy with this, I answer no as I was sold 2.5 meg Min and this has still not been achieved, how long do i have to keep resetting and changing WiFi channels before this works?????
Some information:
I have one socket in the house, I have afilter installed into this (tested with many filters now)
I have a 6 week old home hub 3
Speeds i am currently running at are around 0.2 - 0.4 meg then around 1.4 - 1.6 meg after changing WiFi channels.
WiFi speeds and wired speeds are the same at the same times within reason.
My phone line is clear but my speed is shocking.
I have missed out a lot of what has gone on with hours upon hours on the phone to BT, no call backs etc but overall i have to say the level of service i have recieved from BT has been hurrendous. after 6 weeks to be not even close to the speeds promised except for around 6 hours is not acceptable.
Has anyone got any ideas that may help at all as i am at the point of pulling my contract from BT and taking my custom elsewhere.

This is only an estimate and can vary from line to line due to many factors like line material, line age, line quality, ect...
Strange how lines can actually vary alot in speed :L
CheatedCustomer might be worth trying the test socket.

Advice on How to Change over to BT Broadband

I am planning to change my Plusnet Broadband to BT Faster Unlimited Broadband Option 3. I am not very technically minded and when I originally set up my broadband about 8 years ago a friend did it all. Can anyone kindly let me know the procedure I need to follow to change over? Am I right in thinking I just need to get the mac code from Plusnet, cancel Plusnet and then order the new BT Broadband online?
Will an engineer call to set up the Faster Unlimited Broadband line and roughly how long does it take for the new connection to be set up once ordered? I don't mind going without the internet for a few days but ideally would like to keep the gap between old and new connection as short as possible. Am I right in thinking that the password for the wi fi connection is on a sticker on the Home Hub? Any advice about changing over to BT Broadband greatly appreciated.

No, option 3 is simply unlimited usage, thats all. Your connection will normally be "up to 20mb", depending on how far you are from the exchange.
Speed will be about the same, or maybe slightly more than Plusnet.
Changeover normally involves some wiring changes in the exchange only. If its on the same equipment, then its all done using software.
Laptop connection should be no problem, but please visit this forum if you have any problems.

Slow Browser (Safari) Speed Since Upgrading to 10.8

Hello- I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Lion last week. I have noticed a signficant slow down in browser performance since upgrading. Very slugish now. I noticed it immediately, but thought I'd give it time and different internet connections. Nope... still very noticeable.
Problem: Slow browsing speed since going from 10.7 to 10.8
Setup: 10.8.5 with latest safari, MBair 2012 w/SSD and 8GB ram - Plenty of disk space
What I've tried: Fixing permissions, cleaning cache, reseting safari, cleaning cookies, DNS (open vs. google vs. standard)
Any advice? Thx.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same?
3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
