1.5.3 - Default connection xml file path?? + Error + hanging.
If anyone can tell me how to change (and save) the default path that SQL Dev. uses to access the correct .xml connections file - I'd really like to know!!
Also - why does version 1.5.3 HANG WHEN EXITING - generating errors in the trace file :
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [18110], [0x65904038], [2], [46], [], [], [], [] ??
We are talking about hanging to the extent of having to killing it with task manager at the end of any SQL Developer session over an hour or so.
In my view this version - 1.5.3 - is simply * RUBBISH * !!
Install a previous version, (1.2.1 :) ) we have, and you'll do more work without the frustration of 'things' hanging all the time.
Please note that if you have an Oracle Database Support license, then you can log all your issues with Metalink and we can get to them and address them. This forum is full of users who regular respond and are very helpful to other posters with queries and problems. I see that this is your first post on the forum and recommend you take a different approach.
If you can tell us what you're doing before you exit, and provide more detail about why the product is rubbish, we'd be able to respond and even address some of the issues.
If you want to share connections with other users, there are export & import menu options that allow you to export the xml to a file that you can place on a server and other users can import this. You don't say why you need to change the path, so I can only guess at the reason.
With no further detail in your posting we can't help you.

Connecting XML files with xMII
Hi,
i want to connect xml file (say one.xml having table name and price) with xMII. how can i do it? by using TAG query? what is the simulatorTag.xml?
- senthilSenthil,
Save your .xml file in your local system
Open Business Logic Editor and under WEB you can find xmlLoader.
Right Click and configure the path of the xml file in source URL.
This will load your xml file and all the rowsets will be available for further manipulation...
Tag Query is normally used to query a Tag type database like simulator..
Hope this helps,

Invalid Report File Path Error
I have included several Crystal Reports as embedded resources in a Visual Studio 2010 C# project. When I try to run the application on a client PC I receive an invalid report file path error. Why am I receiving this error if the rpt is embedded in the manifest?
The following code now works on my development machine. It obtains the server name and database name from the configuration file. When I run on my client PC, however, it prompts me to log into the database. It provides the correct server name but the database name is blank and integrated security is not checked. The database name field is not enabled so I cannot provide a value.

Make DW default for XML files?
I'm sure there's a way to do this that I'm missing, but I'd like to make DW my default app for XML files. I know how this can be done on Windows (using "open with" and changing default), but I'm using Mac OSX. I tried messing with the file types section of DW's preferences, but it didn't work. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
In the Mac Finder, select an XML file, and click More Info (or press Cmd+I - that's I, not a lowercase L) to bring up an Info panel. Expand the section that says Open With, and then select Dreamweaver from the pop-up menu (click Other, if it's not listed). Then click the Change All button to apply it to all XML files.

I have some custom xml files that needs to be shipped along with the application. In my programs I dont want to use the absolute file path for these xml files because the directory in which the application will be installed will vary. How do I configure the project to use these xml files using a relative path ?

Re-connecting XML-files within Elements9

I have two questions :
- how did you transfer your catalog ?
- how did you transfer (or copy) your media files ?
The correct way to transfer catalogs and pictures files is explained here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
If you have made a copy of your pictures folders structure (including the xmp sidecar files) and created a new catalog by importing those files, the xmp files should be recognized, but you would have lost other informations like albums and version sets.
I assume you created the xmp files by using the 'write metadata to files' function of the organizer ? -
Conditional XML file path?
I author and test my Flex project locally, then upload it to
a server for others to test and for deployment.
So my initial path is:
<mx:HTTPService id="getData" url="xml/mydata.xml"
result="dataHandler(event)" resultFormat="e4x"/>
But then I need to change it to:
/myserver/myproject/department/xml/data.xml"
Is there a way to handle this switch in code automatically?Hi Leroy/jigg,
You are correct that the expression itself is evaluated before the Macro strings are resolved, so this approach won't work. The macros are evaluated using modelsupport2.dll (DetermineReportFilePathNameExprEx function), which first evaluates the expression before resolving the macros. For implementing a custom report file path expression for a particular client file, I would recommend overriding the ReportOptions callback, then programatically setting the report path expression, using an expression such as:
Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression = "\"MyCustomLocation\\<ClientFileName>_Report[<FileTime>][<FileDate>].<FileExtension>\""
Note the use of double quotes since the field is an expression field. This approach will also allow you to use logic in the callback to change the report file path string using TestStand flow control steps.

Application Viewer Deployment Problem - War File Path Error
Hello all!
I just installed a new CC&B demo environment (2.2SP6 on Apache/Windows) and the application viewer is not working at all. The first thing it does is throw a bunch of errors, such as
source file does not exist data/tables/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/maintobj/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/alg/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/batchContro/updated.xml
Then the App Viewer shows the following:
Data Dictionary Not built - submit F1-AVTBL
Maint. Object Not built - submit F1-AVMO
Algorithm Not built - submit F1-AVALG
Batch Control Not built - submit F1-AVBT
To Do Type Not built - submit F1-AVTD
Service XML Built 2008-04-14 (15:40)
Java Docs Built 2008-04-16 (08:43)
Cobol Source Built 2008-04-14 (10:22)
Manually submitting one of those throws this error:
File path to WAR file and location to expand WAR file are required if Use War File is switched.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Edited by: Adam D. on May 25, 2010 1:43 PMThat worked! Thank you so much. App viewer loads now and all the F1-* items show as built. Only problem now is all the CM xml files seem to be missing. Every time you click something in app viewer it throws an error such as:
Source file does not exist data/maintobj/ENG/CM/ext_BATCHCNTL.xml
This is just one of them. There are many, and they all exist in that same CM directory... which doesnt exist haha
Thanks again for the advice! -

File path error in same screen.
hey guys,
I want to check my file path validation and display error in same screen itself.
I used my GUI_UPLOAD method in START OF SELECTION. to read the file.
If error it displays error in some other plain screen.
I know AT selection screen will allow me to display in same screen.
But is the way of using GUI_UPLOAD method in AT selection screen is advisable?
or else please give me alternate way.
ambichanHi
You can use in AT Selection screen
data result.
CALL METHOD CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_EXIST
EXPORTING
FILE = 'C:\test.txt'
RECEIVING
RESULT =
EXCEPTIONS
CNTL_ERROR = 1
ERROR_NO_GUI = 2

others = 5
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.

the return parameter will be "X" if file exists else it will be blank.

Oc4j generated finders in orion-ejb-jar.xml file causing errors
Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I have encountered a problem with the generated orion-ejb-jar.xml file.
It looks like the additional finder methods that are generated when the application
is deployed are incorrect from the 9.0.3 version to the new 10.1.2.0.2 version.
The original content of orion-ejb-jar.xml before additional finder syntax is added:
<finder-method query=

After deploying in 9.0.3 the following information is added to the orion-ejb-jar.xml file:
<finder-method query=

it should be NO_SYS_USER_OBJECT_HISTORY which results in the following error:

I tried to manually edit the file but when I shutdown and restart oc4j it regenerates the file again.Jingzhi -- If you define the correct EJB-QL you should get the correct SQL generated for the finder. If that's not happening can you verify it against the OC4J v903 production release and see if it is still happening. I don't know if this helps with the JDeveloper problem specifically but if you don't need to create your own finders then that I hope should help.

Problem for XSL copying XML file with Error in expression '*|/'.
Hi,
I am trying to convert xml file to another xml through command-line interface but failed.
java oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxsl data.xml data.xsl data_new.xml
My sample xml and xsl files are:
1. XML file
<employee_data>
<employee_row>
<employee_number>7950</employee_number>
<employee_name>ABC</employee_name>
<employee_title>PRESIDENT</employee_title>
<manager>1111</manager>
<date_of_hire>20-JAN-93</date_of_hire>
<salary>65000</salary>
<commission>1000</commission>
<department_number>10</department_number>
</employee_row>
</employee_data>
2. XSL file
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<xsl:stylesheet xsl:version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="xml"/>
<xsl:template match="*">
<xsl:copy>
<xsl:apply-templates>
<xsl:sort select=".//employee_name"/>
</xsl:apply-templates>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
The error message:
Error occurred while processing data.xsl: Error in expression: '*|/'.
I used a sample XSL files copying from a XML book to do the convert but got the same error.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I'll appreciate it very much for your help.
Thanks.
Yiguang ZhongHi swanelvis ,

Importing XML file, getting error -50
I recently had a hard drive crash and am working on getting my music onto the new HD. After multiple attempts with various programs, I finally got a copy of the songs on the iPod made using SharePod. Now I'm trying to import the XML file it created into iTunes. When I do this, I get the error -50, unknown error has occured. I've upgraded to the latest iTunes version and I'm still getting the error. Any ideas?? It's frustrating since I FINALLY got the songs on the iPod copied, but now can't get them in to iTunes.
hi april!
Now I'm trying to import the XML file it created into iTunes.
hmmm. i'm probably confused because i'm not familiar with sharepod ... but are you getting the error when you import the
b songs,
or just the
b playlists?
can you at least get the songs back, even though you can't get the XML file?
love, b
