10.1.3r3 - JAZN Data Properties dialog bug

JDev team,
The JAZN Data Properties dialog in 10.1.3r3 has a bug. Once you've defined your own realm, users and policies in a jazn-data.xml file, closing and returning to the dialog for the same file you cannot see the entries you previously made within the dialog.
Cheers,
CM.

Chris,
good catch, thanks.

  • Flash CS5 bug - clicking on and off "allow smoothing" in bitmap properties dialog crashes Flash

    I had a situation where I was clicking on and off the allow smoothing checkbox in a bitmap properties dialog to observe the difference in appearance and that crashed Flash - Windows 7 Professional, Flash CS5 Professional 11.0.2.489, 8GB Ram - there seem to be a number of bugs like this because I've seen a number of cases in different places in Flash CS5 where doing something normal just crashes it.  Kind of annoying when you are in the middle of something and haven't been saving your work every 5 seconds.

    Hi,
    We have a problem with our action script and seems to be using cookies of clients computers.
    We have a action script as under ..........----------
    function my_function38()
        var _loc1 = my_xml.firstChild.childNodes;
        totalNodes = _loc1.length;
        cityname_mc.fl_name_mc.fl_name.text = my_xml.firstChild.childNodes[cnt].attributes.name;
        rate_mc.rate_anim_mc.fl_rate.text = my_xml.firstChild.childNodes[cnt].attributes.rate;
        fl_month.text = my_xml.firstChild.childNodes[cnt].attributes.month;
    // End of the function
    my_Date = new Date();
    my_xml = new XML();
    my_xml.load("DEL.xml?uniqueID=" + getTimer());
    my_xml.onLoad = my_function38;
    my_xml.ignoreWhite = 1;
    if (!cnt)
        var cnt = 0;
    } // end if
    ++cnt;
    if (cnt >= totalNodes)
        cnt = 0;
        gotoAndPlay(1);
    else
        gotoAndPlay(1);
      Xml Data as under
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding= "UTF-8" ?>
    <cities>
      <city name="Delhi" rate="£365" month=""file location"></city>
    </cities>
    What is happening is we are storing many swf files and xml files for different cities on server location 1 with same code but are just changing the xml file to be picked.
    I.e
    DELHI.XML    DELHI.SWF
    BANGKOK.XML  BANGKOK.SWF
    SYDNEY.XML SYDNEY.SWF
    All are in one folder and we are just changing the xml path in fla files and loading the new swf.
    Then we are giving out swf urls to an advertising company which is in turn picking up swf files from sever location 1 and displaying the same on their website.
    The problem is each time we access the swf file on there site the data doesnot display properly. It is picking up the wrong xml data. When we check the fla the path for xml is ok. What we think is it is saving swf or xml in cookies of user computer. Is there anyway to prevent it from happening.
    We Are using Adobe Flash CS5.

  • Bug JDev 11g - opening jazn-data.xml throws exception

    Hi JDev team
    In the latest JDev 11g release JDEVADF_MAIN.BOXER_GENERIC_081002.2127.5156, after running the ADF Security wizard for an ADF Fusion app, double clicking on the jazn-data.xml file within the ViewController to open it raises the exception below. Happens on an existing project and a new one where I've done virtually nothing but run the wizard.
    I'm happy to assist in working out what this issue is if you bounce me an email.
    Cheers,

    I take that back, on restart it now only occurs in an existing project.
    For that existing project I ran the ADF wizard, and just happened to manually create a jazn-data.xml file via the New Gallery too. I note there appears to be 2 instances of the file:
    1) <app workspace>\src\META-INF\jazn-data.xml
    2) <app workspace>\ViewController\src\META-INF\jazn-data.xml
    The first was created by the ADF wizard, and the 2nd the New Gallery. The first appears under the Application Resources sub-window, while the 2nd in the META-INF node for the ViewController in the App Navigator.

    Hello! There are CAD 7.6.3 for UCCE. In the Callback Properties dialog box for personal CallBack displays the Customer's Current Time in GMT 0 and the data format of 12 hours.
    How to display in this window, the time is GMT +3 and change time in 24-hours format?

    Hi,
    Please check your local time format settings by the following steps:
    1. Click the Time in the right bottom corner taskbar.
    2. Click Change date and time settings.
    3. In Date and Time window, click Change data and time.
    4. In Date and Time Settings window, click Change calendar settings.

  • Setup User Hierarchy in system-jazn-data file.

    Hi All,
    We are using the File Based Security Provider for the Human Workflow Tasks in BPEL 10.1.3.4.
    How can we setup the Manager/Reportee Hierarchy in the system-jazn-data.xml file? I can see the user and role definitions there but I not see any kind of hierarchy in the file. Or is there some other file where this Hierarchy needs to be set up?

    See ORACLE_HOME\bpel\system\services\config\demo-users-properties.xml

  • VI Properties dialog is slow

    Has anyone experienced this with LV 8.5?  I have a large project open, and when I try to pull up the "VI Properties" dialog box it takes between 10 to 15 seconds to open.  It is a large DSC-based project (whether that has any relevance).
    Thanks,
    David Moerman

    Hi Yi
    I am currently using LV7.1.1f2 on three different machines, each with Daq 4.3 or 4.4. (The reason I am not using 8.5 is I am awaiting a graph bug fix). Each has WXP SP2 with latest updates. This slow opening of VI Properties dialog box has bedeviled me for years. Until today, I have just lived with it, getting frustrated each time. I have found that it appears randomly on different machines (I have used perhaps 15-20 with LV). Today I decided to see if anyone else has the same problem. Here are my findings:
    1. Laptop (Dell M90, Intel dual core, 2 GB Ram) (See SysProps file, attached): It does not matter whether the CPU is idle or not, not what the size of the VI is. I created two empty VIs (A and B). Each time I rt clicked the icon and selected VI Properties, then timed it to see how long it took for the dialog box to appear. (I later I emptied the recycle bin - no change).
    Test1
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Test2
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 10 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 10 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 10 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 10 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Test3
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi B: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi B: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi B: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi B: Delay = 5 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = <1 sec
    Wait about 1 sec
    Open Vi A: Delay = 5 sec
    Conclusions:
    1. If one waits longer than say 5 sec between trying to open Vi Props, the delay is always present.
    2. If one opens the VI props on same or another VI within a second or so, the delay disappears for a few times (2-4 maybe) then reappears.
    2. Desktop PCs: Both AMD Dual Core 4200 XPs.
    No delay  in opening VI properties in either case. In one case, the PC was running a bunch of LV apps which were using 30% of the total CPU%. The VI Props Dialog box still opened instantly, many times in a row, or first time after a long delay.

  • Jazn-data.zml file

    Does anyone know why there is ALWAYS an empty jazn-data.xml file deployed with my application even though I don't have one defined in my project?
    Also, how can I stop this? I want my application to use the jazn-data.xml file already configured for the app server.
    Thanks.

    I was able to work around this problem temporarily by adding the jazn-loginconfig xml elements to orion-application.xml and taking out of jazn-data.xml. Once I do this I can deploy the app with either the ant task or thru Enterprise Manager. But once I redeploy the app or restart the app server, things break again. When I retstar I get messages like following and when the app server starts my app is no more listed in EM:
    10/07/19 16:53:57 [SEVERE]: Error instantiating application at file:/C:/10g_OC4J
    /j2ee/home/applications/MyApp.ear: Unable to get ApplicationConfig for Doehrs :
    Error parsing jazn-loginconfig: Security Provider is not registered
    10/07/19 16:53:57 [SEVERE]: cannot update a configuration file because configura
    tion parsing is failed. please correct the problem and restart oc4j.
    Is this a known bug or there is better/right way of deploying a custom login module. This is pretty frustrating.

  • 10.1.3 - what happened to jazn-data.xml?

    I tried to run my application, unchanged from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3, and things aren't going so well.
    1. I can't login anymore. I use a simple jazn-data.xml configuration for authentication, but the documentation talks about a system-jazn-data.xml file. If I use the embedded oc4j server and add any more accounts, they are added the jazn-data.xml deployment descriptor for my application. I also added a jazn.xml file to point to this file (did not have in 10.1.2). The documentation talks about an adf-config.xml file for the PROJECT, but says it should be in the workspace/.adf folder. The docs also mention a system-jazn-data.xml file, but this is not a deployment type file. When I examined my workspace the workspace-oc4j-app.xml file has a pointer to a jazn.com file, which I'm unsure how to change inside the application. If I REMOVE this from my "config" via embedded oc4j, it gets added back in. Where is this coming from, and why? What are the steps to get jazn/jaas working with this, easily?
    2. I can't get into the database anymore. All I can say is that it is UNCHANGED, and the connection information is present.
    3. The migration of the system settings is a definite action to SKIP. When I migrated I could not access the "check for update wizard" wizard.
    4. I haven't had much time to review any docs, but this appears to be a substantial change from the way the 10.1.2 bindings and page life-cycle work. I'm somewhat confused about why this appears to be such a major shift, feeling somewhat abandoned that I went this route - I'm not ready to jump on the JSF bandwagon at this point - even though it's been 3+ years in the making.
    a) What's the suggested alternative to a DataAction for invoking an application module service method?
    b) The saveErrors method disappears with no replacement. Was this a fluke or did my documentation just not print properly?
    c) My data forward actions are inaccessible from the struts-config via a right click on the action class. Am I missing something here? Do I have to go back to the application navigator to get to them?
    5. Why does the help:print option provide no means to access the printer properties? If I can't print duplex, or change the margins, and the text in the right margin gets truncated, you might want to just disable the print icon altogether.
    I hope this doesn't appear to be knee-jerk reaction. I would really expect an application written in 10.1.2 to run UNCHANGED in 10.1.3.
    I'll appreciate any advice that is provided.
    Thanks.

    For #2, the message displayed is:

    You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

    If I switch back to a JDBC URL it works fine.
    The data-sources.xml file looks substantially changed in that now it contains the new 10.1.3 Oc4j jdbc connection information that use connection pools, native data sources and managed data-sources. All of this stuff "looks" correct, however it won't connect.

  • Web Properties Dialog

    I have created classes extending the Document object through the iFS Manager interface. When I invoke the Properties dialog on documents (instantiated as this class) from the web interface, I see attributes that I have created but receive the following message:
    "IFS-10407: Invalid Attribute Name ({0})"
    This causes the "Language" and "Character Set" values to be suppressed and the dialog does not display the Ok and Cancel buttons.
    Anyone have an idea what may be causing this?
    TIA,
    -Lee

    After you install Conifgurator, you can find such a file \National Instruments\NI-FBUS\Data\mfr_info.txt. The manufacturer name and web address both come from this file.
    You can import image for your device in Configurator software by double-clicking on the image field. All the images are stored in \National Instruments\NI-FBUS\Data\ImageRes\

  • Can't activate Advanced Properties (Project's Properties dialog window)

    Is it normal for Project Professional (2013) the 'Advanced Properties' feature (File > Info > Project Information) not to work (can't activate it) once a project file is save to Project On-Line?
    \Spiro Theopoulos, Montreal, QC (Canada)

    Spiro --
    No, not normal.  However, I am not sure it really matters any more since entering a Title in the Properties dialog no longer displays as the task name in the Project Summary Task (Row 0).  This bug has been in Project 2013 for two years now, with
    no fix in sight.  Just a thought.  Hope this helps.

  • Deploying jazn-data.xml

    I'm trying to set up container managed security from JDev (10.1.2) into an Oracle AS (10.1.2.0.0) all on the same Windows 2k box. The application is named cms and updating the cms-jazn-data.xml file + web.xml served to set up security in the stand-alone OC4j that runs from jdev. What I want to do is put those users and roles into the app server without going to OEM and setting up everything again.
    the cms-jazn-data.xml file doesn't get assembled into the ear or the war so I created an orion-application.xml and jazn-data.xml in my META-INF directory for the project. When I try using jdev to deploy it tells me it deployed but nothing seems to exist on the app server. When I use OEM to deploy the EAR I get this error:
    Deployment failed: Nested exception
    Resolution:
    Base Exception:
    java.rmi.RemoteException
    deploy failed!: ; nested exception is:
    oracle.oc4j.admin.internal.DeployerException: Constructing UserManager for cms:caught oracle.security.jazn.JAZNInitException: C:\oracle\oraAS\j2ee\home\application-deployments\cms\jazn-data.xml (The system cannot find the file specified). deploy failed!: ; nested exception is:

    The file is in the ear, I checked it via winzip. Its under the meta-inf directory just where it appears to belong. What's the missing piece of the puzzle here?

    Jason,
    to get the jazn-data.xml file deployed, you need to add it to your project. You do this by choosing the jazn-data.xml file from the New Gallery in JDeveloper. After that you can use a similar dialog that you use to populate teh embedded OC4J's jazn-data.xml file to create all entries.
    Please have a look at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/adfstrutsj2eesec.pdf

  • Can I make the TestStand Properties dialog an 'always on top' window?

    I am having window Z order problems, such that calling PropertyObject.DisplayPropertiesDialog() sometimes sends the window behind the my application window. This causes people to think that the application has crashed (it's only waiting for them to dismiss the properties dialog), and often results in the fatal three finger salute.
    This problem cannot be solved by setting Engine.AppMainHwnd, or using the PropDlgOption_ModalToAppMainWind option - it's a long story. Is there a way to set the Z-order priority of TestStand dialogs? If I could set the dialog to 'always on top', all my problems would be solved.
    Thanks,

    Hi Aaron,
    Unfortunately there is no way in TestStand to set the Z order property. You may be able to use Windows API calls though to accomplish the same goal. I will however put in a product suggestion for you so that this request may be looked at.

  • Oracle EPM 11.1.2 issue with system-jazn-data.xml & HIT entries

    Have been working on configuring Oracle EPM 11.1.2 and have one final issue from the diagnostic utility that I cannot figure out. Configuration sequence is as follows and each step is installed in its own database:
    Step 1 - Foundation/Shared Services/Calc Mgr/EPMA/Essbase to a single relational DB. I am not configuring the web server until the final step.
    Step 2 - Hyperion Performance Scorecard
    Step 3 - Planning
    Step 4 - Profitability
    Step 5 - RA and configure web server.
    I have used both SQL Server Express 2008 and Oracle DB 11g and get the same result.
    When I complete the install, restart all of the services, and run the diagnostic utility, I get a failure with foundation services indicating that the file "system-jazn-data.xml" cannot be found. No real help is provided with the error message and have found no help in the docs or on the web. I have searched the disk and the file seems to be in the proper place per the docs. I have done partial configs and do not get the error. I have then compared the system-jazn-data.xml file from the successful config to the system-jazn-data.xml file from the failed config they are identical. Both files seem to be bloated with tens of thousands of lines, most of them blank.
    I had reached a point where I thought the issue was related to Performance Scorecard and removed that step. I am now getting the error again.
    Anyone seeing this issue? Is it just a bogus message in the diagnostic report and can be ignored? Any other thoughts?
    Thanks
    EPMCloud

    Update - After going through the install many more times, I still do not know what the issue is, but I believe I have figured out how to resolve it. It appears that if you go back (after everything is installed and configured) and reconfigure the application server for Foundation services, the issue is corrected.
    I am running some final test now and if I discover something different, I will update the post.

  • In Object Properties dialog box, modify "tab path"...

    For FrameMaker versions up to and including 8 (and I suspect 9).
    Select a graphic, then click in sequence
    ESC g o to open the
    Object Properties dialog box. By default the dialog box opens with the insertion point in the
    Width text entry area.
    Now press TAB four times: The insertion point moves sequentially to the
    Height,
    Top,
    Left, and then
    Color text entry areas.
    I wish the last movement, to the
    Color text entry area, was replaced with movement to the
    Percent text entry area. This would enable me to use the keyboard to efficiently configure the size, position, and scaling of a graphic.
    As it is, I virtually never need to select the graphic's
    Color text entry area and the movement of the insertion point to that essentially useless tool drives me crazy: It makes me TAB all the way 'round the dialog box or grab the pointing device to get it to the
    Percent text entry area...
    Cheers,
    Riley

    Odd... What does your properties dialog look like? Can you post a screenshot of the dialog box? Also, what version of LabVIEW are you running?

  • CS3 Data Merge - Missing Fileds in Data Merge Dialog Box

    Indesign CS3 5.0.1, XP SP2
    Hi all,
    I have a document that I have applied a Data Merge to.
    I use a table in Excel 2003 with contact details, name, address etc...
    When I open the Automation> Data Merge Dialog box I no longer see the list off all the fields as in Excel.
    However, I can preview and create the mail merged document and place items using tags e.g <<Field 1>>.
    When I try to remove the Data Source InDesign always crashes But I can relink to a new Data Source, this does not solve the problem.
    Thank-you all for your time and help!
    Alu

    >>Did you perform the merge? Once you do, ID creates a new document. Which document are you looking at?
    I am using the original document, not the product of the mail merge.
    >>I assume it's a CSV file. ID can't use and Excel file for data merge.
    Correct.
    I have tried saving the document as an .inx file and then re-opening, but I still cannot view the .csv data merge fields from the Automation> Data Merge dialog box.
    Any Ideas? - thx for the response Bob & K
