127.0.0.1 unreachable when networking is functional

After a lot of networking experiments using virtual machines, virtual networks, bridges, etc, I discovered that ping 127.0.0.1 is no longer responding. This is the only thing that does not work: I am posting this message from the PC, I can watch online videos,
play online games... Even ping localhost works (through IPv6 though). I can't tell precisely when this anomaly appeared.
I reverted all the changes I made, rebooted a lot, disabled the firewall, without fixing the issue. I returned to a very simple configuration which I list below:

The tests I made seem to indicate that the local IPv4 services (I mean applications that do a listen) are not functional.
Even if I could live with this anomaly, or if I can restore a backup to fix it, I would really like to understand how this is possible and how to fix it properly.

Ping localhost is a loopback process to verify the TCP/IP is configured correctly on the local computer. So, the TCP/IP configuration or stack contains a corruption, first, I would suggest you check you check you TCP/IP settings, reset the
TCP/IP stack by using NetShell

Since the Ping is timeout via ipv4 but Ok via Ipv6, so it's also recommended to just reset the ipv4 setting via the following command and check the result
netsh interface ipv4 reset

I figured out what the issue was, finally. After playing around, I noticed that my InDesign Fonts folder, had "alias" links to some fonts that resided on that shared drive. As soon as I deleted all the ones that where aliases, the error went away. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

E7-00 keeps restarting, when network coverage is l...

After upgrade to Belle refresh, my Nokia E7-00 keeps restarting when network coverage is very low, or gone.
I think, that this is an issue related to the phone's network connection, because the problem of the phone restarting is non-existing, when the phone is in offline-mode, and the problem is non-existing, when network connection is good.
The problem did not exists before upgrading to Belle-refresh.
Anyone experienced this, or any ideas to solve the problem´?

No Sync when network drive connected

Hello,
I have an ipod nano that won't sync through itunes when network drives are mapped.
I am not trying to sync to the network drive, but just the presence of network drives stops the nano from syncing with itunes.
As soon as I disconnect the network drives the ipod syncs with itunes fine.
I have tried this on two different computers and the same thing happens.
I am using Windows XP-sp2 with the latest itunes (6.0.4) and the latest updates for the ipod.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any workarounds?

Photosmart C8180 Touch display will not sleep when networked using Devolo Homeplug

The printer operates perfectly when networked via Devolo Homeplug system except that the touch screen will not enter sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity.
However, if the Devolo system is unplugged then the touch screen will enter sleep mode correctly.
Can anyone help.

I'm seeing similar behavior when I disconnect my TBD. My Retina MBP doesn't go to sleep. I get to work an hour later and it is very hot to the touch.
I'm not seeing lots of people complaining, so I wonder if it's something weird I do. Do you have VMWare Fusion or XQuartz running when you try and sleep?

TMQFORWARD dies when network problems occur

I have two Tux 6.5 (patchlev 317) domains A, B interconnected through a WAN. The
two domains communicate with a disk-based queue which resides on domain A and
TMQFORWARD server forwards the messages to a service of domain B. These messages
just log a few things in a database of domain B.
Sometimes during the day there are network problems on the WAN which give errors
like the following in the ULOG of domain A:

TMG falls when network load is high !! help please

hello everybody.
i have install tmg in windows server for use in internet traffic and other thing about to network.
but i have an issue while using tmg. in first, tmg is working good but when network load is high tmg the work falls.
whenever max of users count is 15-20 that's working good but if users number has increased, tmg not working.

how to conect when network password has been changed

Select the network under Settings > General > WiFi and tap Forget This Network. Select the network again and enter the new password when prompted.

Why no exception to DownloadService.loadPart Function when network is down?

The function call to loadPart(jarlist, lisenter) hangs ( no exception) when network is down. This is not happening always.
I am using in following manner
DownloadService service = (DownloadService ) ServiceManager.lookup("javax.jnlp.DownloadService);
service. loadPart(jarList, listener);
I have tried reproducing this issue by making the network download but not able to reproduce but it has happened couple of time randomly.

Calling BasicService.isOffline() could be a good preliminary test. Anyway I guess DownloadService relies on HttpURLConnection, you could try playing with default timeout.

Essbase 9.3.1.2 and OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1.
When using TODATE function MDX query is not correctly generated.
This leads to unexpected values not only on cumulative columns in report (generated with TODATE), but also other columns (calculated with AGO function or directly read from cube) have incorrect values.
The problem occurs when you filter on a column that is not in the select list. If you filter on just one level of dimension, results are fine. You can filter on multiple dimensions as long as you filter on just one level of each dimension.
If you filter on two or more levels of one dimension, than results are not correct. In some cases results for TODATE column are all zeros, in some cases it is a random value returned by Essbase (same random value for all rows of that column), and in some cases BI Server returns an error:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. Essbase Error: Network error [10054]: Cannot Send Data (HY000).

If you remove part with TODATE function, the results are fine. If you leave TODATE function, OBIEE returns an error mentioned above. If you manually modify variable SOLVE_ORDER and set value to, for example, 100 instead of AGGREGATION_SOLVEORDER, results are OK.
In all cases when this variable was modified in generated MDX, and query manually executed on Essabse, results were OK. This variable seems to be the possible problem.

Hi Experts,
When I run my Application in Portal, i am getting the following error.
Type conflict when calling a function module., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
When I execute the BAPI, it is getting executed.
My Bapi Strucute:
Import Parameters
IM_MAT_Search --> ZPTIP_MAT --> Import Parameters
Tables
IT_INFO_REC --> ZMM_GET_ITEM --> Output Parameters
When I import the model, i am getting the structure like this
BAPI_Name > ZMM_BAPI_Input> IM_MAT_Search(respective Parameters) , Output (respective Tables and their parameters)
> ZMM_Input1> Parameters
This is the way, how i am executing in webdynpro java

What's the problem when the camera function doesnt work and lags? Can my iPod touch be returned because of this? I have done nothing to damage the product.

My file association for jpg files is correct, if i click on a
jpg, ACDSee starts immediately.Although I am a long time Windoze non-user, I vaguely remember that there's a difference between correct file-type association being set and some application starting at a mouse click on a file icon. I also vaguely remember Windoze file-type association mechanism uses a few action-types. Java Desktop should expect a specific action-type for the association.

Hi,
the function works on a discrete amount of data. Hence every call to it replaces the values used first time around.
I've attached an example in LabVIEW 7.0 that uses a pulse generation vi to allow the manipulation of the array sent into the integral object, and then it's easy to calculate what the integral of the data would be.
