2.1 app update change?

Just updated papi jump (good free app). So far when i updated apps it would put them at the end of my apps and i would have to move them back to where they were before. this time with 2.1 it updated then put itself back where it was before. Is this new to 2.1 or was my phone playing up before. Also does the 3G icon seem different or is it just me.

I suggest calling enterprise support for assistance. You can find contact information by logging into http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ and looking in the bottom middle of the screen. They should be able to help you troubleshoot this.

  • Has anyone else been unable to download app updates since changing their apple id?

I've been trying to download my app updates on my phone since changing my id (as itunes apparently required) and to no avail. I have restored my phone, changed the id on my itunes store settings and still nothing but a message saying that "and apple id for username@emailaddress has already been created", umm I KNOW!! I CREATED IT!! so yeah, slightly frustrated and wanting to throw my phone at a hard surface, help please!!

I have this problem too. I've had it downloaded previously on my 1st Gen iPad, so it even shows up on my "Purchased Items" list, but no icon showing any option at all ie, Download, Purchase, Open.
Is it because the current version is not compatible with the iPad 2's latest iOS? If that is the case, isn't the App store supposed to serve the last working version??

  • HT1311 Changed my apple ID for iTunes, but did not work for app updates.

I followed the directions on my phone and successfully changed my apple ID for iTunes. But when I to update apps, the old ID still shows. How can I change my Apple ID so I can update my existing apps?

Correct! The apps I had previously were downloaded using my husband's apple ID. We are now separated, and I would like to download updates under my OWN apple ID. I followed the instructions for changing my AppleID on my phone, and it works with iTunes downloads. Yet the old AppleID continues to show up for App updates/downloads. Can I change the apple ID for App updates? Or must I delete all the apps on my phone that were downloaded under HIS apple ID and then redownload them under my own ID?

  • How do I change the Apple Id on my iPad app updates?

When updating apps on my ipad2, the wrong Apple Id shows up (an id from another family member's iPhone).  We use the same pc with itunes.  How can I change this so only my app updates are shown?  This is the only place that this Id shows up incorrectly.  My correct id shows up in Settings.

Apps are always associated with the Apple ID that was used to purchase them. AFAIK - as long as you are using apps on your iPad that were purchased with another Apple ID - those app updates will always popup when they are available. The only way to remove the updates is to delete the apps.

  • Changed my email address and cannot do apps updates because the changed email doesn't show on the IPad

I changed my email address and, therefore, had to apply the change to my Apple ID.  However, when I try to do apps updates on my IPad, the verification window that pops up still shows my old email address and doesn't accept any of the passwords I try to enter...

Apps are always tied to the Apple ID that you used to buy them with. You will have to use the old ID in order to update those apps. Just use the old ID and enter the password for that ID when you want to update those apps.

  • InDesign CC fails during update - issue has lasted approx 6 weeks - have deleted app, no change. Need fix.

InDesign CC fails during update - issue has lasted approx 6 weeks - have deleted app, no change.
The update process for InDesign is broken.
    Need this fixed.

It's the same issue that - apparently - has existed for YEARS.
The installer can't find a file it thinks should be named a certain way and stops trying. Even though Adobe is the part responsible for naming files.
The programmers haven't included any sort of troubleshooting scenarios in their updater. And they haven't kept up with all the ways they name files in various versions.
It's this error from the log file:
ERROR: DS015: Unable to read symlink target of source file "/Applications/Adobe Media Encoder CC/Adobe Media Encoder CC.app/MediaIO/codecs/MCMPEG4VideoCodec.framework/MCMPEG4VideoCodec"(Seq 11)
I've done all the troubleshooting of this Adobe programming issue I'm going to do.
Adobe knows about this issue and needs to update the software manager.
I'm extremely unhappy that I'm paying $600 a year for Adobe to write crap software and expect ME to troubleshoot their junk.
I don't NEED Adobe software. I'm on the verge of canceling my subscription.
    This is completely unacceptable.

  • Can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

When building a new app with Adobe DPS to update an existing app, can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

Vinod is correct in that you can build a new app that's iPad-only, but if you try to submit it as an update to the existing app, Neil is correct--Apple will reject it because it's considered a downgrade. You either need to stick to the universal app and do something like create a single iPhone folio that refers users to the iPad, or you need to submit it as a new app.

  • Changing store blocks app update

    Hello everyone.
I used to be US resident with a US iTunes account. After moving abroad for good I have updated my iTunes info and linked my account to the Taiwanese AppStore but now I'm not able to download any updates for the apps I previusly purchased. The apps are availavle to the Taiwanse store and I see there are updates available in my iTunes but when I try to update them I get "No updates are currently available ...".
Is there any way I can update the apps I purchased and paid for?
    Thanks for any help.

Here's what I found to be the case in iTunes:
When you do an app update all will show from both accounts.
When you do an update all, those apps from the account you are logged on will download and update. Those from the other account will not and still show as needing an update.
Then when you log of and onto the other account those remaining apps will be updated.
All will sync with the phone then.
When doing an update from the iOS you have to use the account and password respectively.
Btw, the same is true for the Mac apps on the Mac Store.

  • How do I change my apple ID for apps update?

My apple ID for apps update differs from my usual apple ID. How do I match them so that I can update the apps (refuses my password)

I am using the apple ID that I want but my iphone asks me for the old apple ID's password to update the apps and I don't know what to enter since what I enter, prompts a message that says that my password is less than a year old and I need a new one. I don't want the iphone ID but the iTune ID instead

  • Apps updates/downloads saved in wrong folder

    Hi,
I have just transferred my iTunes library to my new NAS (WD MyCloud). I simply copied over my entire iTunes folder from the iMac internal hard drive to the NAS, deleted all the content from iTunes and added everything back from the new location/folder. I also changed the iTunes Medial folder location in the Advanced Preference settings.
Everything seems to work fine with the exception of the App updates/downloads. Whenever I update an existing App or download a newone it will be saved in the old folder on the internal hard drive of my iMac.
    This drives me crazy...please help!
    Thanks in advance,
    Sebastien.

    Peter
    I think you mean +command shift s+ (Save As…).
When you *Save As…* you need to choose where to save your initial document, after that just saving will save it in the right spot.
Inside the *Save As…* dialog box you are free to navigate to other locations either within the column view or by clicking on the folder name at the top of the window, which will reveal the sets of folders enclosing the one you are in ie higher up the hierarchy. To go up the list, just scroll down the menu and let go at the folder you want to move to.
Also on the left of the *Save As…* dialogue box is your sidebar of frequent locations, you can click on those. To add your own folders to your Sidebar drag in their icon in Finder.
Also there is a *Search field* to the right of the folder name in the *Save As…* dialogue box, where you can look for folders or files to move to.
To help you move around more and have more choices at your finger tips, try:
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/7214/default-folder-x
*Default Folder X* is an enormous assist if you don't quite get the computer file system. It lets you click outside the Save dialogue on the folder you want to save to and it jumps there.

  • I am having trouble with app updates on my iOS 5 iPhone never getting beyond the "waiting" state.

I am having trouble with app updates on my iOS 5 iPhone never getting beyond the "waiting" state. I have tried signing out/in of my account, rebooting and removing/re-installing the apps.  This started shortly after going to iOS 5 but I am not certain if that is related.  All updates that I try now are stuck in "waiting".  I also tried removing the apps and then installing via iTunes desktop sync with no improvement.  The only thing that I have not tried so far is a restore to a prior iPhone backup.  I have not been able to find anything to indciate what the updates on waiting on.  There is plenty of space on the iPhone (16gb available).  Any suggestions on what to try next?

    Hello there, Missy.
First thing I would recommend is to check your downloads queue to make sure there is not an interrupted download per the following Knowledge Base article:
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1725
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    1. From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
    2. For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
    3. Enter your account name and password if prompted.
    4. Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.
For Apps, you can also try tapping on the application icon to resume the download, as outline in this featured discussion:
App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4111336
Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • I can't update apps on my IPhone because my e-mail address is different from the one that shows up on my apps update screen

I can no longer update my apps on my IPhone 4 because I have a new e-mail account. When I try to update with my Apple ID the e-mail that shows up on the screen is my old e-mail address and since I once shared that with another person I no longer know the Apple ID for that particular e-mail.
How do I change the old e-mail address and keep it from showing up on my apps update screen? I have deleted the old e-mail account from my phone.
    Thank you

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

  • Error while downloading iPhone app updates

Yesterday I tried to download two iPhone app updates. The app store showed the two updates that were available, but when I tried to update them, it kept giving me an error message saying that my iTunes store request could not be completed. I am up to date on iPhone, iTunes, and OS X software, so I don't know why it did this. I had no problem downloading the updates directly to my iPhone. Any ideas? I did catch my wife a few weeks ago plugging her iPhone into the Mac while I was logged in (we have separate user accounts on the computer). I immediately ejected it from iTunes and unplugged it. I didn't notice any changes after that, either in my iTunes library or on her iPhone. Did this make any changes that I may not have noticed? Also, this past weekend I purchased some music in my iTunes account and had no problems downloading it and syncing it to my iPod.
Edit: I guess I should have seen the Error 5002 thread. That is what mine is doing. Itunes account set for 1-click. No problem on iPod, just on iPhone apps.

I'm having the same problem. The download finishes and then it says an unknown error occurred. It says it has something to do with my network connection, but I don't think that's the problem.
Did you find a solution yet?
I tried to reinstall iTunes but it didn't work.

  • Why do app updates no longer show up for me in iTunes?

Please don't stop reading, because I think my issue is different from similar ones I've found posts about.
For the past week or so, I've been unable to update apps through iTunes. When I click "Check for Updates," it shows "Accessing iTunes Store" at the top of the screen, but after it finishes I never get a dialog box -- neither the dialog box saying there are new updates nor the one saying there are not. Also, I don't get the notification in the left hand column next to "Applications" that normally shows how many app updates are available. The latter point is what seems to distinguish my problem from the other posts I've seen, in which push notification seems to work but updating fails. I can't even see any updates in the first place -- and this occurs even when I can see from using the App Store on my iPhone that I have multiple updates available. And I have a lot of apps.
I should add that this is especially mysterious because it is the only problem I am having with iTunes. I can still download NEW apps from the iTunes App Store, sync my iPhone, download podcasts, etc. I can also update Apps on my iPhone itself. My internet service is working fine. This problem began with the previous version of iTunes and has continued in iTunes 8.1.
One final confession. A few weeks ago, I went through my Apps folder and deleted the non-current versions of all of my apps, hoping to save space on my old computer's hard drive. I don't think this is the cause of the problem, because app updating continued to work for a few weeks after that. But I mention it in the interest of full disclosure. But in addition to my main question, I'd be interested in knowing if this is a bad idea for future reference.
I am running iTunes 8.1.0.51 on Windows XP Home edition (SP 3), and I have a first-generation 4GB iPhone.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks very much!

ell, exactly same problem here: could not have been described better. It all started when I noticed that I could no longer update iPhone apps. "Applications" folder under Library showed such updates awaiting downloading: I could not get any further.
AND SUDDENLY, for no reason, the "Application" in iTunes "Library" disappears! No folder visible, no apps listing, no updates mentioned. Wow!
i had contacted Apple's iTunesStoreSupport in regard to the initial incident, and was kindly informed that:
    +"Dear Roger,+
+Thank you for contacting iTunes Store Customer Support for assistance. I understand that you are receiving intermittent connection errors using iTunes 8.1.+
+Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available.+
+Thank you very much for your patience, and I am sorry for any delay in enjoyment of your iTunes experience. Finding a solution for you is important to me.+
+Remember, we wish your iTunes experience to be truly enjoyable. Take care, and thank you for being a valued iTunes Store customer. Your business is most appreciated.+
    +Best regards"+
I thus figured that in some way "all was in control"... Until the Applications forum disappeared. Apps gone??? Are they stored somewhere on my Mac??
I have just emailed an update incident report to iTunesStoreSupport with screen prints to show abrupt, undesired change.
