2 i-pods help

my son had both his and his sisters i-pods charging when he logged on to i tunes now they share everything encluding the name i need help how do i set up a seprate account for my 8 year old. and get his music off of hers. I have been at this for days.

good luck at that my friend, this stuff ain't as easy as they make it look on tv A? in the last two weeks i have been sorely tempted to shoot several pieces of electronics in my possesion. to think i grew up without a/c, cell phones or color tv until i was at least 12 or 13. once upon a time i started learning dos and just when i thought i was getting somewhere i went overseas and when i got back a whole new ball game. kinda like me and new math in the day. hey if you get some decent answers send me a pm and let me in on it to will ya!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I love how they hide behind a discussion board. If

T5400 and the pod help

This is the second sound system I bought and I love it. The first one was the T2900 and it came with the pod. I upgraded the the T5400 and gave the other one to my son. When I upgraded it did not come with the pod. I bought it online and hooked it up it works great. It has the microphone plugin on it thats why I got it. However when I hook my headphones with the microphone in to it the microphone spot it does not work. I have all the wires from the pod hooked up to the back of the sound system, but the microphone is not working. The headphones work fine in there spot. What am I doing wrong if anything?

It sounds like you are sharing the same Apple ID and/or Verizon account.
Each of you needs a separate, unique Apple ID, and you each need a My Verizon account linked to your number. Register each separately on verizonwireless.com, with different usernames and passwords.
Once the accounts are set up, then try to sync or backup each phone's contacts.

Don't have app store on my i pod. help.

i just bought the i pod touch about a week ago.
my friends also have it. they had the app store already on their ipods.
i dl some apps from itunes on my computer..now my question is..how do you put those apps on your ipod from your itunes library?

What version of software do you have on your ipod?
To put apps on your ipod from your computer, go to the Applications tab on itunes ( with ipod attached) and make sure that the sync applications box is checked and that you have selected what you want to sync.

i tunes detect it but not windows and if i want to put music on it i cant. a message come telling me that writing and reading are impossible and then another one saying that there is an unknown error (-50)

This suggestion worked to see the hidden folder(s). Thanks very much, but I feel like I am miles away from moving my ipod music to my new computer and getting it all to work. Here is why...
1. First when I plug the ipod in, in disk mode, to the USB slot it shows up as a K drive for a minute or so and then disappears. itunes keeps opening, asking me to sync (which will erase all my music on the ipod!) and the K drive (ipod) vanishes.
2. I pod help says to drag the itunes file out to the desktop and then drag the itunes file on the ipod into the "my music" file within documents and settings. However, there is an "ipod control" file (was hidden) and within this there is the following: artwork, itunes (with 13 subfolders of its own), device, and music. So do I just drag the itunes file inside ipod control into My music? Or do I drag the whole ipod control file? or other?
3. Additionally there are K drive (ipod) files for calendar, photos, contacts, notes, and ipod control (was hidden). I don't care about any content in the first four, but are they needed to operate? Do I drag these over also to the My music file?

Forgot passcode need to restore I pod touch

I go into to restore my I pod touch, I get the restore screen hit ok and then it takes me to restore and update I click ok it tells me i need to update the Iso so I click next starts do download everything looks good but instead of staying on the summary page where the restore is it takes me to the place where my music is listed and the passcode lock is still on the i pod help me please.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Apps showing on computer but won't sync to i-pod

Hope someone can help .... I had a 4th generation i-pd touch for xmas and couldn't wait to get started with apps. I have downloaded several free apps which appear in my i-tunes on the computer but when I attach the i-pod it says it is syncing but the apps don't appear on my i-pod
HELP!! I'm not very tech savvy and don't know what to do ....

When the iPod is connected to iTunes,you should see the Summary screen. Just along from the title Summary you should see the Apps pane. Select that and check the box to Sync Apps. Make sure you actaully Sync after that.

Hi Ken. I am going to ask what may seem to you as a daft question. Where am I looking for the site manager and file manager, Dreamweaver or business catalyst, I can’t find them in either. I have a manage sites in dreamweaver but can not see the file manager part any where.

Premiere Elements 11 trial does not work

Downloaded trial version but it will not function.Have tried chat pod help with no success.From opening screen the organiser works and functions ok. The video editor does not function either for existing projects or new projects. The moving bar scrolls for about 120 secs then stops and nothing happens.Thinking of purchasing this program but want to trial it first. Any help please.

At the time that PrE ceases to function, do you have any warning, or error messages in your Windows Event Viewer?
If you do, and any have links in them, please follow those links, as they might yield useful clues. Unfortunately, many such warning, and error messages will just be meaningless code, but the ones with links can lead to a cause, such as a low-level driver interfering with the OS.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), most users do not have similar problems, so can only offer some broad suggestions, based on problems, about which we have read. I know that it looks like we're throwing out a lot of "stuff," and I guess that we are, but so far, nothing in your system, or setup is really jumping off the screen. We have eliminated, via your tests, many common issues.
Wish that we had something concrete to offer, and maybe an Adobe Staff member will jump in, and spot something that the rest of us are missing. What you describe, when most potential causes have been eliminated, sounds like a conflict with a real-time scanning anti-virus, anti-malware, or anti-something program. With the real-time scanning anti programs, they have a tendency to "lock" files, that are necessary to run PrE, on both reads and writes, but you have turned OFF all such programs, so I am now at a loss. Sorry.
Good luck, and I agree with you, that if the trial does not run on the system, buying the full-paid version is likely to encounter the same issue(s), and render the program unusable.

Im having trouble with i-tunes

i baught several songs on i tunes but there are a couple of them that wont register with my i-pod HELP ME PLEASE!

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Itunes folder on ipod (video) is not visible in disk mode?

I am trying to use my ipod as a disk drive to move its music to my desktop (had to reload XP on desktop and used ipod is the music backup). Following the instructions from ipod help (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173) works just fine up to a point. However, when the ipod is in disk mode and I go to move music from it to the desktop there is no "itunes" folder visible to drag and drop? Folders for photos and calendar show up, but no folder for music (itunes). There is clearly music on the ipod as I am listening to it right now. The folder is invisible and I can't access it? Help please. Ric

I have two questions and appreciate anyones help, First I can not seem to copy music from a legitimately purchased CD into my iTunes library or i pod, can anyone help me with this? it used to work. i have i pod touch and second-.

Thank you for any help I appreciate it. Apple products came highly recomended to me, and I have been largely happy with my i phone, i pod, i pad mini and macbook. I admit I tunes always confused me, it is so hard to copy things back and forth from computer to device or vice versa. Most importantly my partner has given me a set of CD with audio books, legitimate CD's not burned copies, and I wish to play them on my i pod touch. I have donethis before with CD''s, however now I look i see all the songs and audio books from CD's have been removed from my device after synch with my itunes on my macbook??? and I can no longer cooy the new CDs on to there? i try put them in the library, and they show up but they are not in black printing like the other songs, they are a faded grey color. They play on the mac book in itunes, so i know they are THERE, they just wont go on my device??? What am I doing wrong and why did all my other ones turn to grey gaded text and go off my i pod.
Furthermore, i thank anyone who takes time to help me, it isnt your job, it is apple's job, but they want me to pay forty bucks for the priviledge of contacting them for help because my warranty expired !! They obviously did something with a new update of their i tunes, there should be NO DIFFICULTY copying audio books i legally own the CD for onto my i pod, why is it so impossible? I have asked my father, my brother, my flat mate, no one can work it out, so its not just that im an idiot.
People warned me that apple does things like this, makes stupid programs like i tunes, that make nothing but trouble so you have to pay to ask for help, and make it so you have to buy everything from their library not on CD. I woudl buy from them if they had the audio books and songs I wished to purchase but they don't always have what i want. And if they did why shoudl i pay AGAIN when i paid for the CD already , i paid for the I pod, i legally own them both so why can i not put my own music on there??? It makes me miss my simple MP3 player where i just plugged it to my computer and copy/paste. It really makes me wonder why when i POD is so much more expensive why its so much more trouble and you have to pay to ask for help??? I really have enjoyed my macbook (After being windows used all my life), i love my i pad and i phone, and until now i adored my i pod, but if it's not going to let me listen to my own music and audio files i may as well throw it in the trash and go get a mp3 player, and warn everyone I know. If there IS a way to copy my own music to the device then WHY IS IT SO HARD?? Just to make people pay to ask for help or what?
I am a loyal apple customer, All my devices are apple and until now i have been happy and willing to pay more for a good product. But i tunes is ridiculous! It's already synched things i didnt want synched and deleted things i didn twant deleted, and thats fine i told myself maybe im too dumb and dont get it. buT i've been trying all week and asked other peopel and still cant get this simple task done, and after purchasing their devices and recommending them to my friends, its a slap in the face to say they wont even let me ask a support question without paying forty bucks! A very unhappy customer-- not just that i cant pplay my music and audio books, but that i cant even contact anyone for help without paying after i purcahsed four different products off them in the two years!

The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.
