2 manually created tabular form on the same page based on 2 different table

Hi, I followed the how to document on manually creating tabular form, including one extra row.
The first form I created works fine, but when I attempt to create the second tabular form based on a different table on the same page, I get the following error message when I try to create the query:
ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of PUBLIC.X ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid
The logic behind both tabular forms I am using is the same, except that for the second query, I use 100 instead of 1, 300 instead of 3, etc:

Hi,
If by "100 instead of 1" you mean the column numbers, then this won't work as you can only have a maximum of 50.

Above is the struct of part of my DB.
At present my manual form does the following :-
When users click on SAVE button , it run PAGE PROCESS , ADD_PROCESS
In ADD_PROCESS ,
I have following logic to insert into process table
Select seq.next_val into temp_variable from dual; - This is the process_id
insert into process values ( temp_variable , :p2_process_owner , :p2_cateogory , .... )
to insert into region i used the following logic ( Region is displyed as check box :p2_region north=1 , south=2 ,east = 3 and west = 4)

How can I use two tabular forms on the same page.

I have create one tabular form in page and try to create second tabular form so
it gives below error.
1 error has occurred Updatable SQL Query already exists on page XXXXX.
You can only add one updatable SQL query per page. Select a different page.

I can get this to work but the page is submitted, either when I use a button with URL link or from a link on a display only text field.
Is this how it is supposed to work? I thought it was supposed to work just on the browser so it is fast.

Two Manual Tabular forms in a same page

Since i have to create two tabular forms in a same page, i created tabular forms manually.
Both the forms are working fine if the columns are not defined as conditional display.
Based on item value set by user, few fields should be either displayed as text field (editable) or read only (display).
I created two columns for a same field one as editable another one as non editable.
Based on item value any one of the column will be displayed.
Since the manual tabular form update process is using 'apex_application.g_f02', if any one of the column is not visible,
multiple row update is failing.
can any one please help me or suggest me to solve this.

I'm guessing you have a page item that is used to control display of the columns as display only or editable.
If that's true and the page item tells you to display the editable column, then you end up with say a g_f02 and a g_fo3, where you otherwise might only have a g_fo2.
Use the value of the page item in your update process to control which tabular form element to use.

Select list in a manually created tabular form

I created a select drop down item in a manually created tabular form. When I run the page, it also shows the null value '%'. How do I edit this?
This is the line I am using in the SQL:
htmldb_item.select_list_from_query(34,IN_PGRS_STAT_DSC,'select distinct STAT_DSC, STAT_DSC from PROJECT_STATUS_REF') IN_PGRS_STAT_DSC,

And the select list doesn't work. It gives me an error message if I have the form to display one extra empty record and the select list. But even with the select list, if I don't include the extra row, it works properly.

For "select-form" in the same page, I still have a trouble.
How can I customize the Tempalte File to make the editing page have cancel button to abandon the edit.
If I want to learn the the JHS's Template costomizing (.vm file) and where can I find more reference documents about JHS's Template costomizing (excepting "Oracle JHeadstart 10g for ADF Developer's Guide").

How to pass a parameter from a report to multiple forms in the same page

Hi:
i have a report and a lot of forms in the same page. The fact is that i want to stablish a link over a filed in the report which would make some information appear in those forms so that information could be updated. For example: i have a report with company names. Over those names i want to put a link. When the link would be pressed the forms would reflect the information about that comany. Is this possible to be done? how can i do this or something similar?

Apply the same LCR two times on different tables

Hi all
Just one question:
Can I apply the same LCR two times on different tables using only one apply queue?
For example executing two times LCR.EXECUTE(TRUE) in a procedure handler:
LCR.EXECUTE(TRUE);
LCR.EXECUTE(TRUE);
....

Calling Report from a Form on the same page

We have a SEARCH Form and when user inputs search criteria, then we want to call a report on the same page, just below the search button. We tried many things but the report does not show up on the same page, it navigates to next page.

I am trying to do a similar thing... I have created a form application component and a Report application component which is called from the search form. This works fine.
I expose the search form as a component and put it on a portal page. I do the same with the report.
When I call the page and enter the search params in the form and call the report, the report appears in a separate non-portal window. I would like the report in the same portal page to be run in-line with the new parameters.
Has anyone done this before?

Column link to populate a form on the same page

Hello all,
Can anyone tell me how I can use a report column link -- that when the link is clicked will populate all of the text fields of my form which is on the SAME page? The form has about 10 fields, and their is only (3) Name/Value associations for a column link.

Great! Thanks for the advice. It appears that when you do that, it changes the column link attributes to a URL and puts the name/values in the URL -- when I first clicked on the link, it would not work -- said that it could not find item P6_FAX. I looked at the URL and then I deleted some of the spaces after the commas in the URL and it works great.

Search criteria on manually created tabular form

Hi All,
Apex v4.0
DB 11g
In a page I have created one manually tabular form using collection .
My requirement is :- Search criteria on the form based on 3 column field of that form.
I tried to use LIKE, EQUAL in the select statement of the query. BUT search option is not working .
When I tried to search ,it doesn't return anything.
But its working on wizard base TF.
I am not sure this one option for search criteria on the manually created TF.
Kindly suggest any other way we can achieve it.

Remember that the values on an apex page is only accessible once you submit your page.
And for tabular forms the values needs to be processed to the apex collections after you submit.
For better understanding what happens inside the collections I suggest that you always make a conditional report with
select * from apex_collectionsand Condition
Where Value of item in expression1 = Expression2

DEBUGExpression2
YESThis way you can show the content of your collections easily by just enabling debug.

Add row in manually created tabular form

I have created a manual tabular form in one of my pages, as I need 2 tabular forms.
In my manual tabular form i have used collection, so while adding a row into it, the whole page get submitted.
Do some have any idea how to add a row without refreshing the page, also kindly let me know all the steps for it, as I am new to Apex.

Manually Created Tabular Forms and Firefox 4 Problem

I have a tabular form created with pl/sql dynamic content regions using the apex_item toolkit. An apex collection is used to maintain state for the tabular data entered. It is an application originally created in APEX 1.5 and upgraded through the years to 3.2 . Never a problem with the application until now. I have re-created the issue on the apex.oracle.com site here:

Run the application in IE ( I am using 8) and then run in Firefox 4. Enter a quantity in the first item then hit Next and then Previous multiple times. See the problem? The problem does not occur in FF 3.6 or Chrome either. I have not tried Safari as my mac is at home and I am at the office.
Here is code for both pl/sql regions and the collection update (after submit). Page 2 is just a report selecting from the collection. I have spent a day trying to solve this problem. Any help will be appreciated. Re-architecting without the pl/sql dynamic regions is not an option at this time.

All I am saying is both of your report regions can very easily be made into a sql statement and put into a report region. you can then use the apex builder to format them. How you validate that data is up to you and would not change all that much other than making sure your global arrays are pointing to the same columns. it just looks to me that you are going through a lot more effort to not use what apex will very easily do for you. Plus the more apex built in functionality you use the more robust your application will be in different browsers.
I tried running your application in IE 7 and FF 3.6 and i did not see any problems. i entered 1,6,4 clicked next. Clicked previous numerous times and was redirected back to the page and saw 1,6,4.
What is happening when you run the app?

Manually created tabular form

I created a tabular form manually. I got it to work so that it displays a blank record automatically so the user can insert a new row. But this only gives the user to insert one row at a time. Can this be changed so the user can insert multiple rows at a time?

Thanks. The tabular form (detail) is actually part of another form based on another table (parent).
I want to use the apply changes button that the parent form provides to update recrods for the detail form. And for my requirement, I actually need only 3 extra rows, and this is set number for every parent record.
Can this be done without having to click on add row button, since I only and always need 3 rows?
