2 Quick questions for a portfolio

Hello I have 2 questions that Im stuck in on this HTML Camara portfilio templete I bought. Mine is not WP my version templete is HTML
Link is here:
http://joinpixels.com/themes/wp/camara/
Working in Dreaweaver CS6
So my first thing Im stuck in is as you open the site there is 2 slider images side by side I want to add 2 more ( 4 )
I copied and pasted  the code to repeat, then chnaged the name so I did everything that I know Im doing but some reason
is not working it wont show the other 2 images I want to add.
the code is below so anyone can see and hopefully someone can tell me what I did wrong or forgott to add
My second thing Im stuck in is,  right under the slider images is another section which is ( ABOUT ) which shows 3 square images and 3 square content boxes
now as you have it in split view in dreweaver everything is fine all 6 sqaures but as soon you do Live test in dreamweaver or even drag your index.html to a browser
the 1st image and the content box with the 1st image does not show up but the est shows up just fine.  Everything looks good in the codeing in dreaweaver nothing is missing.
So Im totally stuck on whats happening here.
Im attacking a screen shot that the first image is gone with the content box.
under that is the code for that section. Below that is the code for the slider images.

1. I think that's normal. Both the clicking noises and the song switching delay happen with my 60Gb.
2. You probably have some songs that are not compatible with the iPod, or you some songs on the iTunes that have some problem (have that exclamation point on the left side).
Nothing to worry, you can rest easy.

  • Quick Question For Mastering

Im getting music mastered and the M.E. told me to send him a data cd with the wav files on it. Just to be clear isn't a data cd a CD-RW?

    It's an equation from Economics.
With any service industry, the larger the quantity of items to be provided, the better the service to the customer.
On a different tack, you could have your portrait taken by a top photographer, & you could be sure that whatever equipment or procedures they used you would be getting their full professional attention & the benefits of their expertise. But if you went into a bus station photo-booth, literally no-one is going to pay any attention to your particular requirements.
I have had plenty of clients take their mixes to incompetent rip-off merchants who called themselves Mastering Engineers, & plenty take their mixes to duplicators who told them that Mastering was included —or possibly extra!
(I find out about this sort of thing after the event, since I don't provide duplication as a service, even as sub-contracting.)
Generally speaking, if you are producing a small run for demo purposes, your budget is going to make you potential prey to the predators at the 'unscrupulous' end of the "Music Business".
Of course there are good & bad engineers & businesses, & conscientious ones as well as unscrupulous; but there is a tendency even among the conscientious to make a low-budget job quick & easy for the client rather than risk the possibility of confusing them with unfamiliar requirements & terminology.
IOW, if they want a CD to play their Mum, & they've heard that they need to have it "Mastered", you don't waste their time & yours making them learn loads of new stuff. They won't enjoy the experience, & frankly they don't deserve to be made to feel inferior just because they're inexperienced.
I'm all for education & encouraging people to learn useful techniques, but what do we say to bullies?

  • IAttachment api question for PDF Portfolios

I have been working on a custom portfolio for a while now and have a pretty good understanding of most of the new feature.  I am currently have a problem though where i drill down into a folder and want to play the videos that are in said folder.  I can always launch the preview in a stand alone mode but that neither looks good or is what my client is looking for.  I want to be able to play the .flv or .swf through a media player embedded on my display (pretty much the rotate view but with playable movies instead of thumbnails).  The problem is that I have not been able to access my movie attachments.  The IAttachment class comes with a path property that describes itself to be a string path to the file I am trying to play.  Naturally I assumed I could do something like (say the file is a swf) binding the source property of a SWFLoader to attachment.path and call it a day.  This is unfortunately far from the case.  I am not if it has something to do with the path being broken or not but thats what i assume.  I also find it interesting that the fileName property is supposed to be the last portion of the path property but no matter where my file is located (root or in a sub folder) the path is always the same as the fileName.  Bug or a simple misunderstanding?  Hopefully an adobe guru can help me with this one.

  • Some quick question for solution manager in 2 system landscape

First of all is there any way to not implement Solution manager but to still be able to patch the system.?
i really need it only for this.
If there is no way to avoid the solution manager, tell me is the saprouter the only way for connection to SAP for the patches download. I don't need anything else for now.
IS there a way to use a direct connection to SAP,?
do the sAP router has to have 2 NICs where one is the public and one the private IP?
i need to solve this one quickly so any help would be appreciated
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
you do not need Solution Manager to patch the systems but you need Solution Manager to approve download basket for downloading pacthes.
Information regarding the connection to SAP can be found at:
Note 35010 - Service connections: Composite note (overview)´
    Hope this helps.

  • Quick Question for MapViewer

    Hello,
I have simple questions regarding using MapViewer with Orace Spatial :
1- Can we specify overlapped images tiles with MapViewer? Does MapViewer support overlapped image tiles georeferencing or it has to be absolutly non-overlapped images?
2- In the pymarid zoom level specification, is it possile to define the max zoom level so that it's correspond to the actual resolution of the images tiles?
3- Does the Mapviewer generated images tiles are saved into the Oracle spatial database or into the machine where MapViewer server is running?
Thanks very much for your help?
    Rafiou

    Hi Rafiou,
    1) note that to visualize GeoRaster objects in Oracle Maps applications, there is no need to match the zoom levels of the GeoRaster with the tile layer zoom levels. MapViewer automatically will get the closest GeoRaster level for the current tile layer zoom level.
But, as mentioned on the previous post, you may be able to use the GeoRaster pyramid zoom levels and define equivalent tile layer zoom levels. You can first compute your GeoRaster pyramids, and later define the tile layer zoom levels definition. The GeoRaster pyramids will have resolution values for pixels. The tile layer zoom level has a ratio scale. Therefore, you need to transform the pyramid resolution into a ratio scale in order to created the tile layer definition.
Lets say a screen with 96 dpi (dots per inch), and a GeoRaster object with spatial resolution at level 0 equals to 30 meters. The equivalent ratio scale could be computed as: 30*96/0.0254 and the result can be used as the scale for the more detailed zoom level of the tile layer. You can repeat the same approach to find the ratio scale for the other levels.
    2) You can create some dynamic themes on your application at run time, but if you want to persist the data you may also store the information in predefined themes. For annotations you can create annotation text themes. An annotation text element can have a text plus a leader line. For circles you may have point geometries with markers (can be a marker representing a circle).

  • Quick question for a fledging acrobat user

    Hello all,
First I apologize for what I assume will be an elementary question. I am new to Adobe Acrobat and I have been given the exciting challenge of converting all of our business documents into fillabe PDF forms.
I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro, and I have some knowledge in acrobat just  from learning and reading and trying things on my own in my attempts to get the owner to buy adobe acrobat. I was able to download a free trial and to convert a form we use to assess a client's financial situation into a fillabel PDF and show it to my boss (the owner) which convinced him to open up the coffers and purchase Adobe Acrobat X Pro for me.
I am interested in what books and or adobe sponsored classes I should take in what order to become more proficient in adobe with the end goal being to obtain certification. I have been given the go ahead for most of this to be paid for by my company but I want to ensure that I am taking the appropriate classses and being financial responsible. There is such a wealth of information and choices that I am hesitant to choose without some guidance.
All feedback is appreciated, hope everyone is having a great week.
    Paul McBride

One more thing. There are two different types of PDF forms you can create with software included in Acrobat 10: Acroforms and XFA forms. Acroforms are what you create in Acrobat and XFA forms are what you create in the separate application LiveCycle Designer. For a good discussion of the differences, see: http://acrobatusers.com/blogs/thomp/so-what-difference-between-acroforms-and-xfa
I'd suggest beginning by concentrating on Acroforms. Move to XFA forms if you need to take advantage of what dynamic XFA forms provide.

  • Quick question(For people who know about video formats and stuff)

What type of media file is AVI? Because I looked on the list of codecs compatible with iPod and it didn't say if it was compatible or not, maybe it's something else. If you know, please tell me

For the formats that were not compatible, I converted them, and it then played the video, but with no sound. I want to get South of Nowhere for a friend on my ipod, butt he only format they come in is AVI and MPG. MPG is quicktime, I know that so it won't work. But what is AVI. Of course I could buy it from the iTunes music store, but I am a kid with no credit card, and my parents wouldn't dare trust me with that

  • Some dvi questions for those who really know there stuff!

Hi all, haven't lurked these forums in a few weeks but just had a quick question for those who wanna build up some "points". I'm trying to connect my MBP 15" (1.83ghz) to my Dell LCD 26" T.V. via DVI. Anyhoo, the DVI port on an MBP is a DVI-I (Dual link 24 + 5 pin) fenmale port while my Dell LCD sports a DVI-D (Dual link 24 + 1 pin) female port. Anyhoo, I went to my local Circuit City store and picked up a 6.6ft DVI-D (Single link 18 + 1 pin) male cable to hook both devices up. Should this work? If those have no idea what I'm talking about, I've included a link with a picture of allt he different DVI ports:
    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/59/Dvitypes.png/180px-Dvitypes.png
If I haven't explained myself well, please post and I'll do my best to clarify.

Am I missing something? Do you actually have a problem making this work? If the plugs you chose are mechanically compatible (and both are DVI D, dual-link), then there should not be a problem.
Ah. I see the concern. The extra four pins. I believe they make the connector able to supply hybrid DVI-A and DVI-D. The Mac output is hybrid so it can easily be adapted drive a VGA monitor, too.
I think you should be fine.
I have a ViewSonic 1600x1200 LCD monitor with a DVI (single) and it works superbly with the Mac.

  • Quick Question (re:exporting from iMovie into iDVD)

    Hello everyone!
I just have a quick question for you all... (I want to see if this is normal - I'm on a deadline and this is kind of freaking me out)
So, we have a 20 minute or so video in iDVD. It plays fine, etc etc. The goal is to burn it to a DVD.
I used the "Export -> to iDVD" function in iMovie, which launched iDVD.
But here is the weird thing: nothing comes up in iDVD. It doesn't make a new file, doesn't give me anything... it is just open, waiting for me to create a new project to work with.
YET, if I look in the Activity Monitor, I do see that EncoderServer (using 123% CPU) and ThumbnailServer (both iDVD processes) are running.... but shouldn't iDVD have told me it is working or that it is dealing with data?
This is very un-"apple". I totally would have expected a progress bar of some sort in iDVD telling me it is working or something.... or is something wrong and I should try to export it in a different way?
(I guess the underlying question is: when you export from iMovie to iDVD, does iDVD normally give you any 'heads-up' that it is working? how long does it normally take to open the project in iDVD?)

    Hi Matt!
when you export from iMovie to iDVD, does iDVD normally give you any 'heads-up' that it is working? how long does it normally take to open the project in iDVD?)
    Yes, and it's instant.
What you should see is iDVD opening and asking you to create a new project, It will suggest naming it the same as the iMovie project.
There are reports that exporting from Imovie to iDVD can produce problems. What I do is save the iMovie project and close iMovie. Open iDVD, create the new DVD project, then go the File menu in iDVD, scroll down to Import, and in the side menu select Video. This open your Movie Folder, wherein resides your iMovie project. Select it and it imports into iDVD in a flash.
Remember: iMovie projects go in the Movies Folder, iDVD projects go in the Documents folder. Change that, and they get very confused and unhappy.

  • Quick question (why is this happening)

i'm working on a draggable background with boundaries and had
a quick question for you guys that know way more than me about
actionscript... any help will be greatly appreciated.
i have a draggable movie clip and set up boundaries for it,
and they all work except for when you drag the MC to the extreme
left/bottom corner... the left boundary stops working as soon as it
    hits that direct corner..
    see for yourself:
    http://www.liquid-creative.com/testing.php
my code is below... any thoughts?

hm... well I think what you really need to get out of the
dragging step is the vector of the object when the object is
    ‘released’?
I suppose you could use the actual startDrag()/stopDrag
methods to do the dragging work for you and then add on to it.
Perhaps while the mouse is moving, keep track of (and update) the
values/vector of where the mouse was 1 ‘movement unit’
before (1 frame before I presume), then when stopDrag() is called,
at the same spot, subtract the current vector from the vector
stored and use the result for calculating inertia.
(Note that I don’t have flash in front of me so this
actually coming from my head, -someone may have a better
    method)

  • Quick question regarding best practice and dedicating NIC's for traffic seperation.

    Hi all,
I have a quick question regarding best practice and dedicating NIC's for traffic seperation for FT, NFS, ISCSI, VM traffic etc.  I get that its best practice to try and separate traffic where you can and especially for things like FT however I just wondered if there was a preferred method to achieving this.  What I mean is ...
    -     Is it OK to have everything on one switch but set each respective portgroup to having a primary and failover NIC i.e FT, ISCSI and all the others failover (this would sort of give you a backup in situations where you have limited physical NICs.
    -    Or should I always aim to separate things entirely with their own respective NICs and their own respective switches?
During the VCAP exam for example (not knowing in advance how many physical NIC's will be available to me) how would I know which stuff I should segregate on its own separate switch?  Is there some sort of ranking order of priority /importance?  FT for example I would rather not stick on its own dedicated switch if I could only afford to give it a single NICs since this to me seems like a failover risk.

I know the answer to this probably depends on however many physical NICs you have at your disposal however I wondered if there are any golden 100% rules for example FT must absolutely be on its own switch with its own NICs even at the expence of reduced resiliency should the absolute worst happen?  Obviously I know its also best practice to seperate NICs by vender and hosts by chassis and switch etc

  • Quick question!!  Is it mandatory that I set up my DSL through the time capsule? I'd like to leave my current modem from my provider as the primary unit for networking.  So in other words can I just set up the time capsule as a back-up device for now and

Quick question!!  Is it mandatory that I set up my time capsule as my DSL modem?  Based on the location of my iMAC right now it would be better to just leave the modem provided by my internet provider in place.  I really just want to use the time capsule as a back-up storage device for now and connnect the ethernet cable from my ISP at a later date.

Generally it is easier to bridge the TC and plug it into the router.. it then lives on the network.. it is after all, a network drive.. and you can access it via your existing connection whether wireless or wired to the existing modem.
If you really want a totally stand alone setup please tell me how you are presently accessing internet on the Mac you want to backup on the TC.

  • A few quick questions about publishing for iPhone/Android

I'm currently developing an iPhone/Android game in CS5 and I just have a few quick questions.  If anyone can answer even one or two I'd really appreciate it
1- I'm developing using a 320 x 480 resolution for the iphone.  When I tested it, the status bar on the top of the screen makes the edges disappear.  How should I turn off the status bar?  And if I can't what resolution should I use?
2- The performance is a little slow, and the game isn't very intense at all.  What's a good way to improve performance?
3- For Android, what should I do for the resolution?  Is there a standard resolution or do I have to have multiple resolutions for multiple devices?
4- Finally, is it worth getting the free trial of CS5.5 before I publish?  Is there anything in there that will be a huge improvement over CS5?
    All help is appreciated

    1. Publish in fullscreen
    2. Use bitmaps, cache all bitmaps, use minimized looping structure etc.

    3. Android: 480 * 800
    4. Not that much, but you have GUI updates and have a GUI publishing screen for packager for iphone too.

  • I am having trouble answering my old security questions for my itunes account and it is creating a problem because I am not able to purchase apps/songs on my new IPAD. What phone number/email adress should I call to get a quick response to my issue?

I have recently bought an IPAD 2 for my girlfriend and have encountered a problem with purchasing apps through my itunes account. It is requesting that I not only enter my pasword (which I know) but answer my old account questions, which I have forgotten the answers to. It had since locked me out of changing my questions for eight hours. Is there any number I can call to prove that I am the real owner of my itunes account so my girlfriend will be able to use her ipad to purchase new apps without having to go through the trouble of using one of my other apple devices? Random information: I believe my questions were set back in 2007 when I purchased my first ipod nano, since then I have used this same itunes account for my own ipod touch and ipad 2 and my girlfriends iphone 1st generation. I have never run into a problem regarding my questions before on any of these devices
